You Will Be Persecuted For Your Christian Faith And Walk

2nd Timothy 3:10-13, “But thou hast fully known my doctrine, manner of life, purpose, faith, longsuffering, charity, patience, Persecutions, afflictions, which came unto me at Antioch, at Iconium, at Lystra; what persecutions I endured: but out of them all the Lord delivered me. Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution. But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived.”

In the late 1980s and early 1990s, I worked as a truck mechanic while supporting my own way through Bible college at Hyles-Anderson College (1985-1993). I had a former boss there, who was about 30 to 35 years old. I was 20 when I began work there, and got fired at age 24, maliciously victimized by an unsaved coworker who despised me.

My former religious boss, the shop foreman, was a religious nut (a wacky neo-evangelical Baptist) who went ballistic over stuff like celebrating Halloween, not voting, et cetera. On another occasion he asked me who I voted for, and I told him the truth that I didn't vote. He went ballistic! My boss started wildly throwing the dirty metal buckets (that we used to change truck engine oil) at the shop doors in anger. He yelled in hostility, "I can't believe that Bible college you're going to (Hyles-Anderson College) doesn't teach their students to vote!" Truthfully, I cannot remember 35 years later whether they encouraged us to vote or not, but if my memory serves correct, they didn't and I am perfectly fine with that. Jesus never voted as far as we know.

I remember that Pastor Jack Hyles at U.S. Presidential election times said from the First Baptist Church pulpit that although he couldn't public suggest who the church members should vote for, they all knew who he would vote for (always Republican). I finally woke up at age 35 in 2002 to the evils of the New World Order, government tyranny, corruption and the left/right paradigm between rotten Democrats and Republicans. I'll never vote again after what they got away with on 911. I actually voted for those evil monsters' George W. Bush and Dick Cheneytwo guilty war criminals, mass murderers and evil villains! I started my website ministry in April of 2002. To God alone be all the praise, credit and glory!

My former boss had no problem with the Devil's lie of Lordship Salvation, pimping into the shop listening to his worldly Contemporary Christian Music (CCM), taking God's name in vain in public, et cetera. He was a difficult man to be around, a total religious hypocrite.

At Christmas one year, the owner of the company gave a gift snack basket to every employee, which included a cheap bottle of wine. I kindly told my boss that I am a fundamentalist Christian, who has never drank a drop of booze in my life (and I still haven't at age 58), that I couldn't accept the alcohol. He became angry and snapped at me, telling me to "Be a man!" I was about 22 years old and didn't know what to do. No one had ever taught me to stand up for what was right, nor how to stand. I mean, they tried to teach us at Bible college to take a stand against sin, but some things you just have to learn from experience. I was green behind the ears! In my individual case, I was a nice friendly guy, not a physical fighter.

I didn't want to offend the company's owner, but I hated booze and didn't want to look complicit. I thought it was very inappropriate that the company's owner ass-u-med that every employee would want his liquor, which was very insensitive and unethical of him. So, while my mind was trying to think what to do, another employee who was about 20 years older than me asked if he could have the wine, so I handed it to him, which I still regret to this day.

If I could go back, 35 years ago, I would have walked to the owner's door and thanked him for the gift basket, but kindly let him know that as a separated Christian I could not accept the alcohol. Or I would have taped a kind "thank you" note onto the bottle for the gift basket, but kindly let him know that my religious beliefs forbid me from accepting booze. I still feel convicted 35 years later that I accepted the booze under duress, because my wicked carnal Christian for a boss (if he is saved at all) mistreated me and totally disregarded my convictions as a Christian fundamentalist. Jim will answer to God someday, as will all of us in eternity. In hindsight over 35 years later, when he said: “Be a man!,” I wish I would have said: “I am being a man, here, I don't want it!” I would have set the wine bottle on the counter and walked out the door. What a religious jerk!

On another occasion, in my boss' presence I said: "Yes Ma'am" in the office to his wife, who had asked me a question (I don't remember the question). His wife also worked at the company. His wife was a fat big-mouthed woman, who wore immodest blue jeans to work. When she heard me say, "yes Ma'am," she sarcastically replied: "I don't know where they get that 'no Sir,' 'yes Sir, 'no Ma'am' 'yes Ma'am' stuff from. Her husband said with a Smart-Alecky tone, "They teach it at that Bible college that he's going to." They both mocked my proper good manners. It is so shameful how neo-evangelicals are, which is exactly what they both are, idiots.

For the 4-years I worked at that company (I am showing grace by not mentioning any names), between 1987-1991, they persecuted me on a regular basis. Most of my co-workers were at least twice my age and older. They stole my work uniforms, which I had to financially pay for. They often hung naked Penthouse photos on my work locker, preacher jokes, put booze bottles in my toolbox, left cigars on top of my toolbox, and called me "baby Jesus." They all knew that I was going to Bible college to become a pastor. They ridiculed and taunted me, just like they did Jesus.

One crude man stuck a 3-foot-long metal pry bar between my legs as a sexual gesture, while laughing like a creep from Sodom. Another guy asked me why I carry a King James Bible under my arm everyday when I come to work, which he said bothers him a lot. I replied that it was for the same reason that he brings his dirty pornographic magazines to work each day, because we bring what we love to work with us. He snarled.

Another co-worker in hatred spit on me. The guy was several years older than me. A certain coworker, who was a friend toward me, went and told my boss about the incident, but he couldn't have cared less. By the way, when my car broke down and I needed a ride home from work (about 10 miles). The same guy who spit on me offered to drive me home in his new sports car. I agreed. He drove as fast as 110 miles per hour down North avenue in Chicago. We're lucky we didn't both get killed! I cannot remember if he spit on me months before or after driving me home. My memories are fading as I grow older.

Another co-worker grabbed me by the throat; another threw me up against a truck in anger, and another flung a 3-pound sledge hammer at me, but thankfully I ducked and the hammer missed me. I can still remember all the names of the heathen men who did those wicked things to me, but I love and forgive them with Christ's love. God knows that I humbly forgave them long ago. My only prayer and hope to God is that some of those men will come to Jesus Christ before it is too late. No doubt some of them are already dead by now, as they were much older than I was over 35 years ago. I wasn't strong enough at that time in my life emotionally to know how to handle such abuses, so I just endured the mistreatment because I had a family to feed and needed employment.

I got tired of listening to AC/DC and Van Halen from co-worker's radios in the shop, so I brought my own tape recorder and played music from, The Marshall Family, Statler Brothers and other pretty music. A co-worker who was 10 years older than me smashed my radio onto the ground in pieces. I went to tell my shop foreman what had happened and he merely said, "If you can't take the heat, get out of the kitchen." Great boss, huh?

I did get back at that particular co-worker months later. He was taking a shower for a date with a girl that Friday night. I poured 80/90 gear lube over him in the shower. I heard him yelling in the shower, “There's gear lube in the water!” In anger, he ran out with a towel around him and turned my toolbox upside down onto the floor, throwing my tools everywhere. I was hiding in the parking lot...lol. My boss did stop him from killing me the following Monday at work. That was one of few times I finally had the courage to stand up for myself in the shop. That same guy grabbed me by the shirt one day, refusing to let me go, so we fought and I ripped all the buttons off his work uniform while he was wearing it. I told him one or both of us would be going to the hospital if he continued. A person can only take so much abuse until they fight back. I was just defending myself as a innocent kid working with some worldly ungodly men.

Anyway, I could tell you much more. Because of God's love, I feel nothing but compassion toward those men because they didn't know the Lord like I do. They eventually fired me for allegedly missing a grease fitting. It was in 1991, during a time of nationwide recession. There simply was no work coming into the shop, and the union contract required for the company to still pay employees 36 hours of wages per week, even if there was no work, so you get the picture. They had just celebrated in 1990 being in business for 25 years without ever having to lay anybody off. So they fired me instead. I was one of many to follow from what I heard years later at a different job, working as a truck mechanic again in 1993.

One of my drain plugs allegedly fell out of a truck that I changed the oil on, but my boss told me that he knew I was innocent. The same guy that spit on me, used a key to put a long mean scratch down the side of my bosses car. My boss said he knew that the guy did it, but couldn't prove it; and also said that the same employee had loosened my drain plug to get me fired. So, eventually those wicked sinners got me fired. God will deal with them. I always remember what Pastor Jack Hyles wisely said: “To lose something in the will of God is to find something better.” Amen and amen.

One day when I came to work, I saw a metal object sitting on my toolbox and picked it up. I jumped a foot into the air. It was an ignition capacitor that a co-worker had charged with electricity, wanting me to get zapped, and I sure did. The same co-worker who cared enough to go tell my boss that an employee had spit on me, told him that a certain man put a charged capacitor on my toolbox which could have stopped my heart. My boss couldn't have cared less either time. What a wicked coward! I could go on and on. I know what it feels like to be persecuted for my Christian faith, working in a Hostile Work Enviroment. I won't even get into my other jobs, which were just as horrible.

I've been persecuted and harassed all my life because of my Christian faith by the Devil's children. Not just being saved, but living godly in Christ Jesus (2nd Timothy 3:12). My co-workers at times invited me to go with them to local Strip Clubs after work, but I refused. I wasn't a good Christian (and I don't think anyone truly is a good Christian), but they hated me without cause because I am a child of God. I was a square block trying to fit into a round hole.

My wife, bless her heart, saw me crying one late night when I came home from work at 1 am in the morning. She said some words I will never forget: "You are a tender-hearted man working with some cold-hearted people, and the two just don't mix." She was absolutely right! My entire work history in the secular workplace was filled with persecution, wickedness and hostility from heathen co-workers. Pastor Jack Hyles was so right, "It's a jungle out there!"

We Are Living In The Last Days of Bible Prophecy

In this blog, I didn't even get into the rotten neo-evangelical churches that abused me over the years, worse than the heathens! Even Jesus Himself, in a rhetorical question to His disciples in Luke 18:8, asked if He would find any faith when He returns. The implied answer is, no.

We also see the famine of God's Word foretold in Amos 8:11, as the modern Bible revisions obliterate God's inspired Word. The Bible says in Daniel 7:25 that when the Man of Sin (Antichrist) comes, he will "wear out the saints of the most High." I'm already tired—tired of fighting with other Baptists who mishandle the inspired Holy Scripture, tired of being kicked out of ungodly neo-evangelical fake churches, tired of pastor's wives who wear pants to dress like whores, tired of brutish arrogant pastors who refuse to contend for the Christian faith, tired of deadbeat pastors who won't preach against sin, tired of no soul winning in local churches, tired of the woeful lack of love and compassion for hurting people in today's lethargic spiritually dead churches. Even so, come, Lord Jesus!

I am so humbled and grateful for God's goodness and faithfulness. We serve an omnipotent more than amazing God. I learned this week about the wood frog, that freezes solid during the winter months and thaws back to life in the spring. Astounding! I learned today about a mysterious black hole in the universe that is so big, it could fit 100,000,000,000 of our suns inside of it! Wow! Our sun has a diameter which is 109 time greater than the earth's. You could fit 932,844 earths into the sun. Our Creator is magnificent to say the least.

Edwin Hubble (1889-1953) discovered that the universe is expanding in 1929 by observing that galaxies are moving away from us at speeds proportional to their distances, a relationship now known as "Hubble's law." This groundbreaking find fundamentally changed man's understanding of the universe, supporting the idea of an expanding universe. It was Hubble's Law which led scientists to call it "The Big Bang." I do not know if the universe began with a 'Big Bang' from God, but science seems to confirm it. Astronomers have proven that the universe as a whole is still expanding outward at the speed of light. God certainly could have exploded the universe into existence. This does not endorse the bogus theories of evolution, which I reject on all levels. What saith the Scripture?

God created the universe by the Word of His mouth (cf. 2nd Peter 3:5).
Psalms 33:6, "By the word of the LORD were the heavens made; and all the host of them by the breath of his mouth.
It is God who is causing the universe to continue expanding outward (stretching)...
Psalms 104:2, "Who coverest thyself with light as with a garment: who stretchest out the heavens like a curtain."
Theoretical physicists, astronomers, planetary scientists and cosmologists are perplexed today over what is commonly described as "dark matter" or "dark energy" which are essentially terms used to describe man's woeful ignorance of what hidden energy force is causing the universe to still expand at the speed of light. I humbly believe that their so-called "dark energy" is none other than our omnipotent faithful Creator, God!

Thank you for reading my ministry blog. Jesus is precious!!!
