David Describes Sacredness Of Human Life In The Womb

Psalms 139:13-16, “For thou hast possessed my reins: thou hast covered me in my mother's womb. I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well. My substance was not hid from thee, when I was made in secret, and curiously wrought in the lowest parts of the earth. Thine eyes did see my substance, yet being unperfect; and in thy book all my members were written, which in continuance were fashioned, when as yet there was none of them.”

I've often heard Psalms 139:14 quoted about the human body being wondefully and fearfully made, but no one ever reads the surrounding contaxt, which describes the undeveloped human fetus in its mother's womb. Psalms 139:13, “For thou hast possessed my reins: thou hast covered me in my mother's womb. This Bible passage is a perfect example of where it really helps to study the Hebrew meaning behind the words. The Hebrew word for possessed is qanah and means to create. The Hebrew word for reins here is kilyah and means a kidney.” The word “covered is the Hebrew word sakak and means to fence in, to cover, (figurately) to protect. Literally, Psalms 139:13 is telling us that God creates little babies in the womb, He forms their internal organs and protects them in the mother's womb.

With this truth in mind, it should be abundantly clear to you that if a woman is attacked and impregnated (I don't want to use the R word), that doesn't justify murdering the child in the womb that God has created. We cannot quation why God would create a child in response to a horrible crime being committed, but our omnipotent Creator knows what He is doing. I live in Florida, where abortion is a hot issue in the upcoming election. It is called “Proposition 4.” I hope the vote outcome is to keep abortion illegal in our good state.

YouTube has been bombarding viewers in Florida with disturbing commercials for months, about a 10-year old girl in Ohio who was ravished years ago and became pregnant, and then was not allowed to have an abortion; as if that somehow would justify murdering life in the womb in all cases. Don't be fooled dear reader, this Proposition 4 is intended to legalize ALL abortions, not just super rare situations. Abortion is first-degree cold-blooded murder!

Psalms 139:15, “My substance was not hid from thee, when I was made in secret, and curiously wrought in the lowest parts of the earth.” The Hebrew word for “substance” in verse 15 is otsem, which means body.” Before anyone could notice that a woman was pregnant, God was already working to create the embryo.

In fact, before you were even conceived in the womb, God knew who you were and had your life all planned out dear reader. Psalms 139:15-16, “My substance was not hid from thee, when I was made in secret, and curiously wrought in the lowest parts of the earth. Thine eyes did see my substance, yet being unperfect; and in thy book all my members were written, which in continuance were fashioned, when as yet there was none of them.” Before you even existed (“when as yet there was yet none of them”), God already saw who you would be and someday become. Nothing ever occurs to God. The Lord is never surprised by anyone's actions or decisions.

Oh, how foolish are those ungodly people today who favor and support abortion rights. What about the baby's rights? What about God's rights? Does not every child have a right to live? What gives anyone the right to kill another human being for any reason? The very consideration of performing an abortion is frightening, to think that someone would even consider terminating the life of another human being for convenience, profit or selfish sake.

Jeremiah 1:4-5, “Then the word of the LORD came unto me, saying, Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.” I love this Scripture. God told Jeremiah that even before he was conceived in his mother's womb, the Lord already knew him and ordained that he should be a prophet.
