Moses was the greatest leader that the Hebrews had ever known. But as the Children of Israel increased in drastic number in the Wilderness, it became a heavy burden for Moses, simply because he was only one man, and couldn't baby-sit the people by himself. So Moses' father in law, Jethro, gave his son in law some godly advice in Exodus 18:21, “Moreover thou shalt provide out of all the people able men, such as fear God, men of truth, hating covetousness; and place such over them, to be rulers of thousands, and rulers of hundreds, rulers of fifties, and rulers of tens.” I love that! Look at the type of men who are fit (able) to lead—men who fear God, men of truth, and men who hate covetousness (the desire to acquire personal wealth).
Let me list those qualifications given by Jethro again:
- MEN WHO FEAR GOD
- MEN OF TRUTH
- MEN WHO HATE COVETOUSNESS
Thousands of church pastors today don't fear God, for if they did they wouldn't be so INDIFFERENT! They are not men of truth—evidenced by their cowardice to preach the truth, cowardice to preach against sin, cowardice to call false prophets by name, and sinful arrogance that perpetuates their incompetence in the pulpit! I'm talking about Bob Jones University and their shameful graduates—who sanction dozens of different conflicting Bible revisions, refuse to listen to sound reason, and seem to love money more than truth!
Kindly, if Moses were alive today, and were to choose men to lead with him, he wouldn't choose anyone from Bob Jones University (BJU), Pensacola Christian College (PCC) or Moody Bible Institute (MBI). The truth is disregarded in all of these horrible apostate institutions today. PCC resents anyone who takes a stand against the modern Bible revisions. They want no part of the battle, which means they do not fear God, nor do they care about THE TRUTH, because they are making tons of money! The love of money has ruined our churches!!!
Today's shameful Bible colleges have deteriorated into a money-making racket, not a Christ-honoring ministry. The name of the game is money, money, money! Join any so-called “ministry” today, and 99% of the time you are asked for money. That is because ministries are all set-up for profit today, so that THEY NEED your money to continue. But ask yourself friend, what does it cost to PREACH THE TRUTH? That's right, nothing! I've never made a single penny for serving God throughout my entire lifetime! We need a revival in America of THE LOVE OF THE TRUTH, and less emphasis on the love of money!
“There is power in this Gospel message. Most people just don't know how to present it... The clarity of the Gospel is what makes it easy for them to believe.” —Pastor Yankee Arnold, a quote from the excellent MP3 sermon titled, “WHY GRACE CAN SAVE THE WORST MAN!”
