There is a raging battle today over the matter of Biblical "repentance" in regards to salvation. Pastor Curtis Hutson (1934-1995), former editor of the Sword Of The Lord, has it 100% correct...

Pastor Hutson shares this precious true story, defending a free grace Gospel: 

Several years ago, after I finished preaching a Sunday morning service, several people trusted Christ as Saviour, including a lady and her five children. I noticed a man sitting on the same pew who did not respond. After the service, I spoke to him, while many of the members of the church were shaking hands with the lady, her children, and others who had trusted Christ that morning.

"Sir," I said, "is this your wife and children?"

"Yes," he replied.

I said, "Isn't it wonderful that they have trusted Christ as Saviour!"

"Yes," he replied.

Then I asked, "Have you trusted Christ as your Saviour?"

He dropped his head and said, "I'm afraid I haven't."

"May I ask why you haven't trusted Christ as Saviour?"

"Well," he said, "to be honest with you, I'm afraid I can't live it."

I suspected that this man had an idea that in order to be saved, he must promise God that he would never sin again, or he thought that repenting was turning from sin. So I pressed the issue. "What do you mean, you can't live it?"

"Well," he said, "I know that I will probably sin again."

I said, "Sir if getting saved is promising Jesus you will never sin again, then I would never get saved, because I know I cannot live a sinless life." I explained that to be saved one simply had to trust Jesus as Saviour. I opened the Bible to John 3:36 and read, "He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life." Then pointing to the verse, I asked, "Does the verse say 'He that believeth on the Son and lives it has everlasting life'?"

"Oh, no," he replied.

"Then what does the verse say?"

"He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life."

"Then must one believe on the Son and live it in order to be saved? Or must one simply believe on the Son, as the Bible says, to have everlasting life?"

"Well," he said, "I suppose that one must do what the Bible says - believe on the Son."

"Then will you trust Jesus Christ right now as your Saviour?"

With a smile on his face, he answered, "I certainly will." In a moment he joined his wife and children as the church members came by and shook hands, rejoicing with them in their decision to trust Christ as Saviour.

Evangelist David Cloud's Unnecessary Attacks Against Soulwinners

Many critics have attacked Brother Hutson's preaching, accusing him of preaching "Easy Believism," but salvation is easy, and only requires childlike faith in the Lord Jesus Christ to be saved. The Bible says in Acts 2:41 that 3,000 people were saved, water baptized and added to the Church in one day. A couple chapters later in Acts 4:4 we read that another 5,000 men got saved. All together there must have been about 15,000-20,000 men, women and children who were saved and baptized. Somebody was taking count! Numbers were important to God, which He even mentions in the Holy Bible! Certainly, the disciples didn't have time to make sure that each person thoroughly understood what they were doing.

Many churches today make getting saved and water baptized so difficult, that you'd think a person was applying to work for the Secret Service. I know Independent Fundamental Baptist Churches which require people to wait months before they will water baptize them, and you have to share your testimony via a personal video (which is shown to the church congregation) before they will baptize you. That is NOT the Biblical way! That is not how it was done in New Testament churches. People were saved simply by believing the Gospel (1st Corinthians 15:1-4), and then they were water baptized immediately. We see this in Acts 2:41 on the Day of Pentecost. There was no indoctrination, waiting period or requirement to be voted into a local church body, before a saved person could get water baptized and join the church. Today's neo-evangelical churches sure make it hard for people to do right.

Malicious critics, such as David Cloud, have wrongfully accused Brother Curtis Hutson of preaching “Easy Prayerism.” Easy Prayerism is a dangerous term. Satan's greatest weapon is to con people into living the Christian life without ever being born-again. It is extremely dangerous to criticize soulwinners who are following the Bible's commandment to preach the simple Gospel. I agree that a sinner cannot be saved by praying a prayer. We are saved by faith alone. If a person prays a sinner's prayer at the time of salvation, that is fine, just so long as they clearly understand that it is faith in the Good News of Jesus Christ that saves, and not praying. Galatians 3:26, “For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus.”

All a person needs to know to be saved is the facts that one is a guilty sinner in God's sight (Romans 3:19-20), and that Jesus is the risen Savior who died in our place on the cross. Jesus paid our debt of sin! If they call upon the Lord Jesus in faith, placing their trust solely in the Savior, they are saved! David Cloud is sowing discord amongst brethren (Proverb 6:19), and unnecessarily making God's simple plan of salvation difficult. Please read, The Simplicity of Salvation by Pastor Jack Hyles (1926-2001). Lordship Salvation has its origin in Roman Catholicism.

David Cloud's criticisms against some of America's mightiest soulwinners, such as Dr. Jack Hyles and Dr. Curtis Hutson, have caused much unnecessary confusion concerning "repentance." This is unfortunate. It is very important to understand at this point that repentance and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ are NOT two separate events in time. David Cloud is correct to teach that repentance and faith are two separate "aspects" of salvation; BUT, he is WRONG to attack Dr. Curtis Hutson's teaching that repentance and faith are NOT a process.

Brother Hutson taught the same correct doctrine as Dr. John R. Rice, i.e., that one who trusts Christ has also repented. Repentance and faith may be two separate aspects of salvation; BUT, they are not two separate events. The Biblical definition of "faith" is different from the Biblical definition of "repentance." This cannot be denied. They are two separate aspects of salvation. David Cloud falsely alleges that Brother Hutson and Dr. Jack Hyles are eliminating the aspect of repentance, by leading lost sinners in a quick sinner's prayer, but this is not the case at all.

David Cloud even stoops as low as labeling Pastor Jack Hyles as: "The King of Shallow Soulwinning," but David Cloud is shallow to attack America's mightiest men of God and soulwinners. We ought to be working together, instead of against each other. I thank God for Pastor Jack Hyles!!! Shame on David Cloud! I was a longtime member of First Baptist Church of Hammond, Indiana, where Dr. Hyles pastored for over 42 years since 1959.

I attended Hyles-Anderson College in Crownpoint, Indiana for 8 years (1985-1993). I graduated in 1993. During that time I faithfully sat under Brother Hyles' preaching at First Baptist Church of Hammond. What a blessing! Month after month during that time, I witnessed thousands of lost sinners coming to Christ for salvation, week after week, because of Dr. Hyles' ministry. Who is David Cloud to judge their sincerity? As a soulwinner in Dr. Hyles' ministry, I always explained to prospect converts that they were sinners, deserving of punishment in Hellfire. I showed them several Scriptures. I always explained to people that there were no magic words in a prayer that could save them; but rather, it was one's belief on the Lord Jesus Christ that saved them.

In fact, you can hear Pastor Hyles for himself teaching the First Baptist Church of Hammond to be careful about false conversions. Dr. Hyles always stressed the Biblical importance of making sure a person understands that they are a sinner as part of being saved. There's the SIN QUESTION and the SON QUESTION. Admitting that you are a sinner and turning over a new leaf is reformation, not salvation. Believing on Jesus but not realizing one's sinnership is mere religion. In order to be born-again, you must come as a guilty sinner in God's holy eyes (Romans 3:19) and believe the Gospel (1st Corinthians 15:1-4). No one ever got saved who didn't know that he is a sinner. You've got to answer the sin question. Do you know that you are an ungodly sinner in the eyes of holy God?

David Cloud Maliciously Attempts to Pitch Dr. John R. Rice Against His Successor, Dr. Curtis Hutson

On David Cloud's website, he uses Dr. John R. Rice's excellent Gospel presentation titled, What Must I DO To Be Saved. Unfortunately, David Cloud takes Brother Rice's writings out-of-context, in a malicious attempt to discredit Dr. Curtis Hutson and Pastor Jack Hyles. Mr. Cloud states...

THE ERROR OF DEFINING REPENTANCE MERELY AS A CHANGE OF MIND (Cloud)

"Another man who has widely influenced the doctrine of repentance held by independent Baptists is the late Curtis Hutson, former editor of the Sword of the Lord. His 1986 booklet “Repentance: What Does the Bible Teach?” has been distributed widely. Hutson boldly denied that repentance means to turn from sin (p. 4). He denied that repentance is sorrow for sin (p. 8). He even denied that repentance means “a change of mind that leads to a change of action” (p. 16). He claimed that repentance simply is “to change one’s mind” and that it did not necessarily result in a change of life. In an attempt to build his doctrine of repentance, Curtis Hutson quoted Scripture that appears to support his position but he ignored the Scriptures that plainly denounce his position. He misquoted the writings of men like his predecessor John R. Rice. He also mixed in a heavy dose of human reasoning."

Mr. Cloud specifically focuses on Dr. Rice's words:

"To repent literally means to have a change of mind or spirit towards God and toward sin. It means to turn from your sins, earnestly, with all your heart, and trust in Jesus Christ to save you."

Considering this quote by itself, one could be misled to believe that Brother Rice was teaching Lordship Salvation; BUT, he certainly is not. David Cloud fails to take the entirety of Dr. Rice's article into consideration. Dr. Rice goes on to state:

"The change in your heart, sinner, is God's part and you may be sure He will attend to that. Your part is to simply believe in Him. Whatever else is necessary in your eternal salvation, the Lord attends to when you trust in Him, or believe in Him."

This is exactly what Brother Hutson and Pastor Hyles taught. Salvation is of God, not man. Our part is simply to believe, but it is God who changes our heart. David Cloud places this burden of change upon the lost sinner as a sort of prerequisite for salvation. Interestingly, David Cloud doesn't present his own article on how to be saved, but rather twists the words of Dr. John R. Rice in an attempt to attack America's mightiest soulwinners. Dr. Rice further states:

“One who believes in Christ has repented.”

This statement alone by Dr. John R. Rice clearly blows David Cloud right out of the water! Mr. Cloud accuses Dr. Curtis Hutson of MISQUOTING Dr. Rice, but it is certainly the other way around. It is David Cloud who is misquoting Dr. Rice. Here is a quote from Dr. Curtis Hutson, with a quote which he provides from Dr. John R. Rice:

In an article in THE SWORD OF THE LORD, Dr. John R. Rice said:

"Sometimes the preacher does not himself fully understand the plan of salvation. He thinks of salvation as a process. First, there is a period of conviction, then a period of repentance, then an act of faith."

He [Dr. John R. Rice] went on to explain that when one trusts Christ as Saviour he also repents.

Dr. Rice is absolutely right. Faith and repentance are the same; they are not two separate decisions. One cannot trust Christ as Saviour without repenting or changing his mind. The very fact that he trusts Christ for salvation shows that he has changed his mind regarding sin, salvation, and God.

If one book of the Bible had to be considered "the salvation book," it would have to be the Gospel of John. The Gospel of John is printed and distributed more than any other book of the Bible. The purpose of this book is given in John 20:31, "But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name."

According to this verse, the whole purpose of the Gospel of John is that men might believe that Jesus is the Christ and believing they might have life through His name. In other words, it is written that men might be saved. Yet "repent" or "repentance" is not used one single time in the Gospel of John. On the other hand, "believe" is used more than ninety times in the twenty-one chapters.

Curtis Hutson and John R. Rice are 100% in AGREEMENT on repentance! Dr. Rice further states:

"Repentance is inseparable from faith. The Greek word for repentance in the Bible simply means a change of mind; that is, a wholesome change of attitude toward sin and toward God. One who turns his heart to trust in Christ has, naturally, turned his heart away from the love of sin."

Let us ponder the words of Jesus, who said in John 6:37, “...him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out.” Any sinner who sincerely wants to be saved, may be saved, if he'll simply come by way of the precious blood of Jesus.

Does a person have to stop sinning to be saved? No, that would be impossible. Acts 26:20 says, “that they should repent and turn to God, and do works meet for repentance.” The word “meet” in the Greek is axios and means “deserving, comparable or suitable-worthy.” The Bible is saying that we ought to do works worthy of the salvation that we've been freely given in Christ Jesus. Scriptural evidence for this teaching is found in 1st Corinthians 6:20, “For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.” Carefully notice that the Bible does not say to do works to make one worthy of being saved; but rather, to do works meet (worthy) for repentance. No one is worthy of salvation. No one!

Evangelist Lester Roloff beautifully put it this way: “Real repentance is putting your trust in Jesus Christ so you will not live like that anymore.” Departing from a sinful lifestyle is a matter of appreciation for what the Lord has done for us, of obeying God as His child, and not as a condition of saving-faith.

David Cloud is barking up an empty tree for sure. Now, is that to say that there aren't some people who claim to trust Jesus, who have never genuinely repented? Of course not. They are plenty of imposters today, who masquerade as Christians, but are not. David Cloud wrote a book years ago titled, Repentance is More Than a Sinner's Prayer. Did not the thief on the cross turn to Christ in a sinner's prayer? Yes, he did. Did not the publican cry out to God for mercy in a sinner's prayer? Yes, he certainly did. David Cloud's error is that he views repentance and faith in Christ as two separate events, which they are not.

Here are Mr. Cloud's own foolish words:

If repentance and faith are the same, why does the Bible make such a plain distinction between them? “Testifying both to the Jews, and also to the Greeks, repentance toward God, and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ” (Acts 20:21). In reality, repentance and faith are two different actions..."

David Cloud attempts to use Acts 20:21 to support his heresy. Now, I'm about to PROVE that David Cloud doesn't know what he's talking about, in defense of my friends Dr. Curtis Hutson and Dr. Jack Hyles: Granville Sharp's Rule of Greek Exegesis

Sadly, Mr. Cloud falls short of 2nd Timothy 2:15. He simply does not study! Acts 20:21 does not teach two separate actions at all! Repentance and faith are shown as the same thing in this verse. Here is why;

“Testifying both to the Jews, and also to the Greeks, repentance toward God, and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ.”

Any time two singular Greek nouns appear in a sentence and are connected by the conjunction "and" (kai Greek) and the definite article "ho" precedes the first noun, but not the second, they both mean the same person! This means that the appositive, our Lord Jesus Christ, is referring to "God" in the first clause! Rendering this into the sentence it is then to be read as follows:

Testifying both to the Jews, and also to the Greeks, repentance toward God, ("EVEN") or ("that is") faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ.”

This is what Paul was preaching! Repentance toward God, using the Granville Sharp's rule of Greek exegesis, is synonymous (means the same) as faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ.

Faith and repentance are the same event according to Greek grammatical rendering of this verse. However, David Cloud does not follow good biblical interpretation, and ends up with a false interpretation to support his false claims. If we need to be right about anything in the Bible, it is SALVATION. If we are wrong here we will be wrong everywhere else, not to mention our destination if we believe a false Gospel.

The ONLY thing that you need to repent of to be saved is whatever it is that's been keeping you from coming to Christ to be saved. Please see, The Great Meaning Of 'METANOIA'!

The bottom line to Cloud's teaching on repentance is that you cannot come to Christ for salvation unless you first intend not to walk in sin after you receive Him. This is "qualification by works" as a prerequisite for receiving Christ as Savior. David Cloud is teaching utter heresy. Thank God for men like Dr. Curtis Hutson that don't try to make salvation difficult.

Pastor's Jack Hyles, Bob Gray Sr. and Harry Ironside Are 100% Correct On Repentance

Pastor Hyles accurately states:

“Repentance is not some little silly, 'I'm sorry.' Repentance is not simply a fear of God. Repentance is not a monk fasting and afflicting his body in a monastery. Repentance is not remorse because of sin's consequences. Repentance is not penance performed before the pope as you kiss his toe... Repentance is not being sorry for what I've done wrong. It is not confessing one's sins to a priest. It is not just conviction of sin. It is not the signing of a pledge of abstinence. Repentance is that thing when you come before God and see yourself as you are, and see Him as he is, and say with Isaiah 'Woe is me, for I am unclean!'” —Pastor Jack Hyles (1926-2001), a quote from the timeless MP3 sermon, “THE GOODNESS OF GOD LEADETH TO REPENTANCE!”

Listen to what Pastor Harry Ironside (1876-1951) correctly states about repentance in chapter 16 of his book, EXCEPT YE REPENT:

“In all that I have written I have failed completely to express what was surging up in my soul if I have given anyone the impression that I think of repentance as something meritorious which must be produced in man by self-effort ere he is fit to come to God for salvation.”

I agree 100%! The entire concept of Lordship Salvation is based in human effort. Most of our evangelical churches today have bought into the lie that it's not enough to believe the Gospel of Jesus Christ to be saved. The Gospel is that Jesus Christ DIED, was BURIED and RESURRECTED from the dead three days later (1st Corinthians 15:1-4).

If you receive Christ's sacrifice on the cross as full payment for your sins, trusting Him, believing that He is risen from the dead, then you are saved. But don't I have to repent? Yes, of course! Biblical repentance is “a change of mind” that causes a person to believe the Gospel. Repentance is NOT a desire to stop sinning. Repentance is realizing that you are a SINNER and need the Savior, so you will believe the Gospel and be instantaneously saved. Repentance is changing your mind about whatever was previously hindering you from resting in Christ for your salvation. It's that simple to get to Heaven dear friend.

Beware of the false teaching in most churches today, even many Baptist churches, which says that you have to forsake sinful living to get saved, commit your life to Christ and surrender fully to Christ's Lordship. Satan loves to corrupt the gospel by either requiring good works to be saved, or by subtracting bad works to be saved. Whether good or bad, both are DEAD WORKS! (Hebrews 6:1).

Dr. Mark G. Cambron Has It 100% Correct On Repentance

Here is an excellent and needful writing by Dr. Mark G. Cambron (1911-2000) on the subject of REPENTANCE. Please read the following quote carefully, because Dr. Cambron is one of few theologian who gets it, that is, he understands the simplicity of the Gospel and that repentance does not mean turning from sin as proponents of Lordship Salvation foolishly teach:

Repentance is necessary for salvation.

The Greek word for repent is metanoeo, which, translated into English is: to change ones mind. It does not mean to turn from sin. That would add works to salvation.

Repentance for salvation means a change of mind from men's ideas of salvation and religion, to an acceptance of Gods only way of salvation.

This results in a completely new creation, not a reformation of the old. The old nature remains as evil as ever after salvation and has not been reformed . . . The old nature can now be controlled by the indwelling power of the Holy Spirit.

God guarantees salvation. This is His gift to us.

God guarantees reward and fruit to the obedient son.

God guarantees chastening and loss of rewards to the disobedient son.

God does not cast out disobedient children, but in some cases, does take them home. He does not permit His children to live as they please without His discipline and guidance.

Many teach repentance for salvation incorrectly, by including some form of human effort or righteousness, such as willingness to turn from sin, or turning from sin. This is heresy and has confused many people. It adds works to salvation and causes many to not understand Gods great gift. It is probation, not salvation. It is completely unscriptural. It is Galatianism and a counterfeit of the gospel.

It is a tragedy that many Christians live shallow Christian lives. The Cambron Institute is dedicated to the task of training Christian men and women in the importance of total dedication and making Jesus the Lord of their lives not to be saved but because they are saved.

Shallow Christianity cannot be cured by adding works to salvation.

An Ounce Of Prevention Is Worth One Pound Of Cure

Ezekiel 4:9, “Take thou also unto thee wheat, and barley, and beans, and lentiles, and millet, and fitches, and put them in one vessel, and make thee bread thereof, according to the number of the days that thou shalt lie upon thy side, three hundred and ninety days shalt thou eat thereof.”

Daniel 1:12-16, “Prove thy servants, I beseech thee, ten days; and let them give us pulse to eat, and water to drink. Then let our countenances be looked upon before thee, and the countenance of the children that eat of the portion of the king's meat: and as thou seest, deal with thy servants. So he consented to them in this matter, and proved them ten days. And at the end of ten days their countenances appeared fairer and fatter in flesh than all the children which did eat the portion of the king's meat. I am now 55 years old. For most of my life I didn't really pay attention to how healthy the foods I ate were. I grew up in the big city, where fast food joints are everywhere. I love those Mom and Pop local eateries, where you can buy cheeseburgers, pizza puffs, extra-dunked Italian sausages loaded with sweet peppers, French fires and other delicious stuff. Unfortunately, all of those tasty foods aren't very healthy.

To be honest, I hate eating fruit. Really. I love deep fried foods, and always have. I love Pizza Puffs, which I order from the ILTACO company in Chicago. They are my all-time favorite food! Yet, I have learned to make myself eat lots of fruits and vegetables for good health. Here is a photo I took of the foods I am eating this week...

God's Healthy Foods That I Am Eating This Week!

When I eat good, I feel good! What we eat today, we will crave tomorrow. I begin each day by drinking a fruit smoothie. I start with one apple. I recently learned that there are about 5,000 different kinds of apples. That is amazing! Walmart sells about a dozen different varieties. This week I bought the Honey Crisp and also Jazz apples. Two weeks ago I got the Ambrosia apples. I cut the apple up and put it into my 24 ounce Nutri-Ninja cup. Then I add some cold water and 1 to 2 Tablespoons of whole flaxseeds (I buy them in a bag at Walmart, near where the cooking oils are sold). Today I also cut up and added 3 baby guavas (the yellow ones), 1 plumcot, 1 apricot, 1 pear, 1 lemon and 1 yellow kiwi. I drank it all down. Since there is a lot of fiber in eating fruit, I feel full.

I also don't eat much flour anymore. Instead, I have been eating flourless bread...

Ezekiel bread is 100% whole grain, with a Glycemic Index (G.I.) of only 35 (versus 85 for all white breads). The Glycemic Index is a chart showing how much different foods will spike your body's glucose (sugar) level. This is especially important for diabetic people. For diabetics, you should generally try to eat foods with a G.I. of 40 or lower.

An ounce of prevention is worth one pound of cure. That is so true! If we eat healthy foods, in the long run they will reward us with less of a chance of disease, cancer, stroke or heart attack. Everyone should eat one Tablespoon each day of flaxseeds, to get enough Omega 3 oils in the body, which have been shown to greatly reduce the risk of cancer and a heart attack.

In our text passage from the Old Testament book of Daniel, we see that all it took was JUST 10 DAYS to notice a drastic change in one's health and appearance. That is amazing! If you will decide now to go to your local supermarket, and load up on only healthy fruits, whole grains and vegetables, you WILL FEEL and NOTICE the difference in a couple weeks.

The book of Daniel mentions eating “pulse.” This is pulse...

Daniel 1:12-16, “Prove thy servants, I beseech thee, ten days; and let them give us pulse to eat, and water to drink.”

Pulses are edible dry peas, beans, lentils, and chickpeas. They fall under the legume family, but the word "pulse" specifically refers to legumes that are grown and harvested for their dry seed and grown as food. So pulses include lentils, chickpeas as well as split peas and beans like kidney bean or navy bean. Cool, huh?

I heard another interesting statement: “An ounce of mother is worth one pound of clergy.” I like that! In other words, if a mother raises her child wisely and properly, teaching the child to have manners, respect for other humans, avoid vices (booze, cigarettes, recreational drugs), and to always do what is right; then that child likely won't end up in rehab as an adult someday, or be in some pastor's office to get help with their chaotic life. Oh, how our country needs godly mothers again!!! Fathers too!!!

Yes, an ounce of prevention is truly worth a pound of cure, whether it be concerning one's health, the raising of children, finances, maintenance of one's vehicle, working on the marital relationship or anything else in life. It is tragic to see so many Americans today who are so obese, that they have to sit in an electric cart to get around places, because they weight 400 pounds! Nobody gains 50 pounds overnight, it happened a little here and a little there.

It happened because of a wrong attitude. But what's done is done. The only concern people should have right now is, where do we go from here? Even if you are grossly overweight, you can lose a substantial amount of weight (5 to 10 pounds a month), just by eating healthy foods. I lost 5 pounds last month just by eating lots of fruits and vegetables. I eat a lot of stir fries. I love baby Bok Choy, which I buy at the local Asian grocery store.

I encourage you dear reader, if you're not doing so already, to start including some fruits and vegetables into your daily diet. You don't have to completely change your normal diet, but I did and I don't regret it. I still eat foods that I like, but I compromise. I was craving a bacon sandwich last night, so I cooked up a pound of bacon. But I used Ezekiel bread instead of white bread. I put a big wedge of iceberg lettuce and a couple thin sliced red tomatoes on it. And a little Miracle Whip. The sandwich was wonderful!

Eating healthy doesn't have to be boring and torture. You can use all kinds of sauces (Oyster Sauce, Soy Sauce, Vietnamese Chili Garlic Hot Sauce, Dark Soy Sauce, Kung Pao Sauce, Szechwan Sauce, et cetera). I bought all of these items from the local Asian store. I add a little brown sugar, salt, white pepper, 5 spice, onion powder and minced garlic to my stir fry. Each meal that I cook in my Chinese wok is different, and tasty. I am eating lots of healthy vegetables. I like to share with others the things that are a blessing in my life, so you can be blessed too. Eating healthy is a blessing! I encourage you to do as I have done, to read up online about all kinds of fruits and vegetables.

I was curious what that white powdery stuff is on all my blueberries. I thought it was pesticide, but I was wrong. As it turns out, it is 100% natural, produced by the blueberries themselves, which is a protective wax coating. The natural wax seals in moisture, keeps our insects and disease, preserving the berries. God is more than amazing!!!

God Cannot Pardon Anyone Without Justice

2nd Corinthians 5:21, “For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.”

I have often heard unsaved people (both religious and non-religious) say that if God is a loving God, then He won't send them to Hell. Billions of people throughout human history have made the eternal fatal error of assuming that a loving God would never send anyone to Hell. Oh, how wrong they are!

Although God is certainly a God of love, He is equally a God of justice. There must always be justice! Mankind is predictably unpredictable. I read in the news years ago about a man in Alaska, who drove his wife out to a secluded area on a snowy night, and then murdered her with a gun. The judge only sentenced him to 8 years in prison. Yet, in another sad story, a mother in Kansas was sentenced by a harsh judge to 45 years in prison for possessing 1/16th an ounce of cocaine. She was an addict. She needed help, not to be locked in a cage and tortured with loneliness and claustrophobia. In man's court system, there is little justice!

I have felt sickened lately, to see the U.S. Justice Department going after former honorable U.S. president Donald Trump. Yet, the corrupt U.S. Justice Department refused to investigate and prosecute the culprits behind the 9/11 attacks on the World Trade Center, claiming that it was a matter of “national security.” What rotten scoundrels! The corrupt and injustice U.S. Justice Department also used the same lame excuse not to investigate and prosecute the Oklahoma City Bombing in 1995, or the HSBC Banking Scandal (laundering Mexican drug cartel money) in 2015, or the Mena, Arkansas drug trafficking ring (by then horrible corrupt Arkansas thug governor, Bill Clinton).

THE TRUTH is that the U.S. Justice Department is a puppet on a string, controlled by the demonic Masonic powers that really control the United States, a proxy of Israel since 1948. Thankfully, God sees all the injustice, and He will ultimately execute justice!!! Ecclesiastes 5:8, “If thou seest the oppression of the poor, and violent perverting of judgment and justice in a province, marvel not at the matter: for he that is higher than the highest regardeth; and there be higher than they.” Amen and amen!

I once heard the famous movie actor, Jackie Gleason (known as “The Great One”), say that he didn't think that God would send him to Hell for committing one sin. Kindly said, Jackie Gleason was so WRONG! James 2:10, “For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all.” It is tragic that he didn't know Jesus Christ as his personal Savior, which is the ONLY way to Heaven. Mr. Gleason said publicly on 60 Minutes in 1984 that his greatest fear was not making Heaven. Sadly, that appears to be what happened, he missed Heaven and went to burn in Hell forever and ever. The inspired Word of God is very clear that a person MUST BE BORN AGAIN to enter into the Kingdom of God. John 3:3, “Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.”

By God's mercy and grace, in response to my faith in the Gospel (Good News) of Jesus' death on the cross, burial and bodily resurrection, I was born-again in 1980 at age 13. I thank God for the gift of His precious only begotten Son, Jesus. I do not deserve to go to Heaven. I deserve to go to Hell to burn forever, because of my own sins. Even one sin is enough to condemn a person to the Lake of Fire for all eternity, without hope or rest. God the Father in His genuine unconditional love, sent His only begotten (biological) Son into the world, to die a criminal's death on the cross, as a substitutionary sacrificial lamb for you and me dear reader.

Jesus paid it all! If you want to escape the fires of Hell, and spend eternity with Jesus and the hosts of Heaven in splendor and joy, then you must be born-again. Your sins must be paid for. Either you must spend eternity in Hell paying for your own crimes against God and man, or else you can receive Christ's sacrifice on the cross as payment for your sins instead. I assure you, upon the authority of the Holy Bible, that God will NOT let you slide someday for your wickedness. God doesn't forget those wicked sins and crimes that you commit in your youth, that humanity doesn't know about, or time has effectively seemingly erased. No doubt there are murderers, pedophiles, rapists, thieves and atrocious criminals at large still, who have never been caught by the police yet. But you cannot escape the omniscience and justice of our holy God. Hebrews 4:13, “Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in his sight: but all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of him with whom we have to do.” Hebrews 10:31, “It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.”

According to God's promises in the Bible, no one ever gets away with anything! Matthew 12:36 warns that God will hold men accountable even for their words. Proverbs 24:12 warns that even if men deny their wrong doing, God knows their very thoughts and intents of the heart, and will call them LIARS! You cannot hide or deceive God dear friend, because He knows and sees everything about you (Psalms s139:1-6). Romans 14:10-12 warns that all men will stand before the judgment of God, and give account. This means you! This means me! This means everyone! God is not a respecter of persons. It matters not how rich or poor you are. It matters not whether you are famous or unknown. It matters not if you are big or small, short or tall, learned or ignorant, cultured or uncouth, et cetera.

There MUST be justice! Sin must be paid for. No one can enter into Heaven merely because God is merciful and kind. You must consciously accept God's free gift of eternal life, which is only through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. Philippians 3:9, “And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith:”

So please do not make the grave mistake of foolishly thinking that just because you would let someone off the hook easily, that God is like you, because I assure you that HE IS NOT! God's holiness demands absolute justice, and justice cannot be foregone, overlooked or dismissed. That is exactly why Christ had to die on a cross to PAY for our sins, which were grievous and many. There was no other way of escape:

Romans 5:8-10, “But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him. For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life.”

Did you read that friend? The Bible teaches that we are justified BY HIS BLOOD. John MacArthur is a theological liar, who says that Jesus' blood actually only means His death. No, Mr. MacArthur, you are an infidel on your way to everlasting destruction. We are saved BY THE BLOOD of Jesus Christ (1st Peter 1:18-19; Revelation 1:5, 7:14; 1st John 1:7). Jesus willingly shed His precious blood on Calvary's cross, and then took that liquid blood to Heaven (Hebrews 9:12), to sprinkled on the Mercy Seat in the Holy Place (Hebrews 12:24), in the presence of God on our behalf (Hebrews 9:22-24). Praise the Lord!!!

Please make sure that you have been born-again! Being religious is not the way to Heaven. Attending church, following Christ, surrendering all to God, giving your life to serve Jesus, turning away from sinful ways—these things are all proper in their place along the Christian journey of sanctification, but NONE of these things comprise THE GOSPEL (1st Corinthians 15:1-6); and you may do all these things and yet never have been saved at all. YE MUST BE BORN AGAIN (John 3:3b).

That is the ONLY way to meet God's demand and standard for justice. There is nothing that you can do to remedy your own dilemma. You are a hopeless sinful wretch dear reader, and so am I. Apart from Christ's sacrifice through Calvary's cross, there is no hope for anyone!!! If you will simply humble yourself before almighty God, to admit that you are a hopeless guilty sinner in need of a Savior; and cast yourself at the beautiful feet of the only begotten Son of God, by putting your complete reliance in Jesus Christ to save you, then He promises to do so immediately. John 6:37, “All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out.”

Simply believe (put your trust in) THE FACTS of the Gospel, that Jesus is the Christ, the only begotten Son of God (John 20:31), who died in your place on the cross, was buried, but three glorious days later He bodily resurrected from the dead. This is THE GOSPEL by which all who believe it are saved (1st Corinthians 15:1-4). That is how you can be declared JUSTIFIED by God in Heaven, JUST-IF-I'D never sinned at all. What an awesome God!!! Micah 7:18, “Who is a God like unto thee, that pardoneth iniquity, and passeth by the transgression of the remnant of his heritage?  he retaineth not his anger for ever, because he delighteth in mercy.”

I'm Just Ruffling Their Feathers At Pensacola Christian College And Campus Church, Hoping They'll Change

Hebrews 3:13, “But exhort one another daily, while it is called To day; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin.”

As many of my blog readers know, I moved from the island of Guam to Pensacola, Florida in July of 2021. Although I miss Guam, I am glad that I left because I couldn't afford the high cost of housing on Guam.  The average rent price per month is now $1,700. Anyway, I chose to attend Campus Church at Pensacola Christian College (PCC) in July of 2021. I met their senior pastor, Jeff Redlin, for the first time at the church's 4th of July picnic. I told him that I had just arrived 36 hours earlier from Guam, was suffering from jet lag (Guam is 15 hours ahead of time than Pensacola), and that I was sleeping in my car at Walmart.

Sadly, he didn't care and just walked away, so I slept in Walmart's parking lot again that night, just as I had the night before, and the nigh before that. The Woodspring Suites Hotel where I had confirmed a 30-day reservation, cancelled my entire stay, because United Airlines delayed my flight on Guam (for which the FAA has fined them repeatedly), and I was a day late. I had contacted the hotel ahead of time to let them know they could bill me for the missed day, and that I was definitely still coming, but they cancelled it all, too bad so sad. JERKS!!!

Let's move ahead, shall we. So the next day I emailed Pastor Redlin to tell him how excited I was to be at Campus Church and PCC. I shared my heart with him, as a friend to a friend, my Christian brother in Christ. To my sadness and grief, of all that I had written to him in my email, he zoned in on a comment I had made that I hoped to find a wife at Campus Church, actually scolding me for it. I was cut to the heart. Who was this jerk? Me finding a wife is none of his damn business. I was 54 years old at the time, and disgusted that some shallow pastor would be so abusive, as to scold a grown man for desiring a mate and companion. That is shameful on the part of Pastor Redlin. But the abuse didn't stop there.

I had responded to his email to rebuke him back, letting him know what I thought about his Pharisaical judgmental attitude. Sad to say, authoritarian abuse in churches today is everywhere! I just read today from Christianity Today that the corrupt Southern Baptist Convention (who has 45,000 member churches) is now being investigated by the U.S. Justice Department for a widespread epidemic of clergy abuse. I was emotionally abused at PCC.

After Redlin abusive remarks, I felt dejected and unwanted. So I emailed very kindly to ask if as a divorced man who intends to get remarried, am I welcome at Campus Church? It was a simple question. Pastor Redlin totally ignored me for the next 10 days. I was disturbed by his poor behavior, so I very kindly approached him on a Sunday morning, after church, as he and his wife greeted church members and visitors. I simply asked him why he hadn't replied to my email. He backed away a couple feet, as if perplexed and a bit nervous, signifying with his open hands that he didn't have an answer. He then said, I might as well answer your question now: "I would never perform a wedding for you if you got remarried." I was again cut to the heart, not by what he believed, but that he would be so rude as to say such a thing in front of his wife, which embarrassed me further. In fact, I had never asked Jeff Redlin to perform a wedding. My simple question was: "Am I welcome at Campus Church as a divorced man who intends to get remarried?" He could even answer a simple question!

So I emailed him the next day to express my hurt feelings and frustration with his abusive behavior. Why was this pastor looking down on me for being divorced and lonely, hoping to remarry? Sadly, this is the PCC camp's pathetic and unbiblical ways. They abuse divorced people, making them feel like outcasts, adulterers and whores. The truth is that PCC are a bunch of yuppie type academics who woefully lack God's compassion for hurting people. Unfortunately, I experienced this type of clergy abuse firsthand at PCC's Campus Church.

In frustration, and feeling unloved at PCC, I left the church in September of 2021. I n the months to come, and hearing nothing from them (they have my contact information), I harshly criticized them on social media. I told everybody what Jeff Redlin had horribly done to me. But I am a loving and forgiving man, so after several months I was lonely. There is no place to go to church on Sunday nights in Pensacola, except PCC's Campus Church. So in June of 2022 I wrote a very apologetic and sweet letter, and mailed it to Pastor Redlin, pleading for his forgiveness so that I could come back to Campus Church. He totally ignored me.

So after one month of hearing nothing, I composed and mailed another letter, four times longer, again begging for their mercy, understanding, empathy for my health problems and lonely situation. I mailed the same letter to both Campus Church (all the pastors), and the second to PCC. Again, they all totally ignored me. Really great people, huh? So on August 2nd, 2022, I had had just enough of these cold-hearted pastors. So I lashed out against them on social media, again, not knowing what else to do. Only then did Jeff Redlin respond (by email), to tell me that I am permanently banned from ever attended Campus Church again.

I am done begging like a dog to come back to church, casting my pearl before swine. Sadly, these overpaid pastors don't care one iota. Jeff Redlin and his sidekick Timothy Zacharias get paid outrageous salaries. Jeff Redlin's gets paid well over $100,000 per year!!! They don't deserve that money. As far as I'm concerned, they're incompetent religious pilots who are crashing Campus Church into the ground, killing all the passengers (church members) on board. Be careful who you entrust your life to!

So, by God's grace, I will continue to ruffle their feathers at PCC. According to an internet search, "ruffling the feathers" is an idiom which means: "To irritate someone to try to get them to change." That is all I am trying to do by criticizing ungodly PCC leadership and their terrible Campus pastors Church—trying to get them to change their horrible selfish and uncaring ways. God knows that I do not hate them, nor anybody else. I love people. I love everybody. That is exactly why I do write blogs like this, to get their attention at the PCC camp. They desperately need a revival at PCC how they treat other people. They need to repent  (change their mind) about how they treat divorced people. Divorced people already feel a lot of guilt, shame and rejection. It doesn't help one bit when self-righteous hypocrites, like the cocky and snobby PCC crowd, berate and ostracized them from their religious community.

I want the world to know that I am not allowed to attend Campus Church, because of the wickedness of PCC leadership, who sanction the shameful behavior of their Campus Church pastors, who in my humble opinion ought not be pastors anywhere. They woefully lack God's love for sinners. They don't care about making peace, amending hurt feelings or reconciliation. Those are not men of God; but rather, mere paid employees of a secularized religious institution. PCC today is about making money, lots of money. The courses they offer are mostly of a secular nature. Religious colleges like PCC are ruining the country, not helping it.

I have written numerous blogs exposing PCC, which you can search for online. They are wrong on Bible repentance. PCC's official doctrinal position is that: "Repentance is a change of mind which results in a change of behavior." That is WRONG! Repentance (Greek: metanoia), a noun, in fact means only: "A change of mind." No where does the Holy Bible teach that repentance unto life results in behavior modification. PCC are liars (Proverbs 30:5-6). Sadly, PCC has been infected by the Bob Jones University (BJU) crowd with whom they are sinfully bidding Godspeed. The ungodly Harvest Baptist Church on Guam preaches hardcore Lordship Salvation, a cesspool of BJU graduates. Harvest works very closely alongside PCC and BJU, refusing to contend for the Christian faith once delivered unto the saints (Jude 1:3; Titus 1:9-14). PCC has blood on their hands, partakers of their evil deeds at BJU, damning men's souls to Hell with a counterfeit gospel that cannot produce the new birth in Christ. Jesus warned in John 3:3b that "Ye must be born again."

Again, I'm just ruffling their feathers at PCC, by lashing out against them on social media. I am preaching against their cult, in a sincere attempt to get them to change their horrible ungodly ways. You know, people just want to be loved. I even made it easy for the pastors of PCC, telling them that my criticisms are just a hurting man who is crying out to be loved, but they refuse to do so. They refuse to love me as a divorce and hurting human being, who has begged them for their love, understanding, forgiveness and a chance to come back to Campus Church to be a part of a church family. They despise and resent me, because I dared to question the almighty gods who lead PCC. I dared to expose them. I dared to say, "No!"

God will judge between me and the leaders at PCC. I told THE TRUTH. I treated them with respect at first, while they mistreated and made me feel like garbage. There is no love or forgiveness at PCC or Campus Church, only authoritarian abuse. There are no second chances, no reconciliation, no coming back to church once you offend them. That is heathendom, not the ways of the precious Lord Jesus Christ (Ephesians 4:28-32). Sadly, PCC is just a money making religious cult today.

Shame On Pastors Who Won't Give Repentant People A Second Chance

Acts 15:36-39, “And some days after Paul said unto Barnabas, Let us go again and visit our brethren in every city where we have preached the word of the Lord, and see how they do. And Barnabas determined to take with them John, whose surname was Mark. But Paul thought not good to take him with them, who departed from them from Pamphylia, and went not with them to the work. And the contention was so sharp between them, that they departed asunder one from the other: and so Barnabas took Mark, and sailed unto Cyprus; And Paul chose Silas, and departed, being recommended by the brethren unto the grace of God. And he went through Syria and Cilicia, confirming the churches.”

I love that the Apostle Paul had zeal. In our text passage of Scripture, Paul was excited to go back to all the churches where they had preached God's Word and started churches, to see how they were all doing. I love that! How does that compare to many lame preachers today who win someone to Christ, brag about the 200,000 people they led to Christ (which is exactly the number that I heard missionary Steve Heidenreich boasting about online), but never go back to follow-up on those alleged converts? It is ridiculous! Every Christian should try to follow-up on their converts, to see how their doing and to mentor them. I speak to myself as well.

By the way, I once met with Steve Heidenreich in 2004 to discuss becoming a missionary in the Philippines. I paid for the whole dinner, for which he never even thanked me. Sadly, he couldn't have cared less, brushed me off, and spent the entire time bragging about himself that he built $1,000,000 worth of buildings in the Philippines for Missionary Rick Martin. I don't like Steve Heidenreich, he is a weirdo in my book! I learned recently that Evangelist Allen Domelle is married to Heidenreich's daughter. I sure hope the apple fell further than the tree, so that she is not as goofy as her Dad is.

My then wife and young children were with me in 2004, when I met with Steve Heidenreich to discuss becoming a missionary. He didn't give a damn. When he asked me to pray for the meal, I bowed my head because that is how everybody I know prays. But later on my kids said: “Dad, when you prayed, he looked at us and didn't bow his head. He was looking to see if we were praying.” Evidently Heidenreich has some cute little weird thing that he does, judging a man based on whether his family bows their heads too. What the dumb weirdo didn't know is that when I pray with my family, we never bow our heads, I thank God out loud for the meal. Bowing one's head is religion, not prayer! Steve Heidenreich is a religious weirdo!!!

Let's move on, shall we. But then there is something that I intensely dislike about the Apostle Paul, which is that Paul was proud, arrogant and refused to give people a second chance. John Mark messed up. He made a big blunder, which caused Paul some pain and embarrassment, for which Paul refused to forgive John Mark. John has abandoned Paul's side on his first missionary journey, which must have caused Paul considerable grief. So when Barnaba wanted to bring John Mark along to revisit the churches they had preached at previously, Paul got angry and refused. SHAME on Paul!!!

I recently wrote a humble letter in all humility to Pastor Jeff Redlin of Campus Church at Pensacola Christian College (PCC). I asked for his forgiveness and a second chance to attend Campus Church, but he refuses to even have the courtesy to respond to my letter that I mailed him. That is so horrible! That simply vindicates everything that I have written and warned people about him, that he is a heartless academic who woefully lacks God's compassion for hurting sinners. I offered to do whatever he requires to make peace with Campus Church, but he doesn't want peace. That speaks volumes that Jeff Redlin doesn't walk close with God. Mr. Redlin is not a humble man.

Pastor Redlin collects a ridiculous 6-digit salary for playing church, going through the motions, sucking up to PCC leaders, delivering his shallow sermonettes and pretending that he cares about a select few people in his close circle. If you don't love everybody, you don't love anybody!!! What kind of senior pastor shuns someone from coming to church? But a nobody like me doesn't mean crap to a rich snob like Jeff Redlin. The guy has the only reward he will ever receive from God, which is his undeserved paycheck!

As a testimony before God and man, I tried to make peace with Pastor Redlin, but he refuses to do so. I told him that all I am asking for is an olive branch (which is a symbol of peace), but the Bible says there is no peace to the wicked. SHAME on pastors who won't give people a second chance. Jesus said if you don't forgive, He won't forgive either. Matthew 6:15, “But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.”

Shamefully, I have heard numerous pastors actually cite the Bible where Paul and Barnabas couldn't agree, in a sinful attempt to justify their refusal to make peace with others. The truth is that Paul was the problem, not Barnabas. Paul's thorn in the flesh didn't humble him as much as he claimed. Paul was sinfully proud, refusing to forgive and give a fellow brother a second chance to serve God. Sadly, I see that type of hatred and carnality is so many pastors today. It is pathetic.

The same can be said of Pastor Marty Herron at the Harvest Baptist Church on Guam. For several long and painful years I had nowhere to attend church, because Marty Herron refused to allow me to attend churches services. Evidently he considered Harvest HIS CHURCH instead of GOD'S CHURCH. Thankfully, Mr. Herron quit in 2018 and fled back to the United States. Sadly, he is now corrupting hundreds of young people's lives with his Calvinist damnable false plan of salvation at the Faith Baptist Bible College And Theological Seminary in Ankeny, Iowa.

God knows that I don't hate these men, they hate me, because I called them out for their unchristian behavior, for preaching false doctrine, and for dropping the ball for God. Am I the enemy because I am exposing Devil's corrupt Bible versions? Am I the enemy because I expose the Devil's lies of Lordship Salvation, Misunderstood Repentance and Calvinism? I think not. In fact, I know not. Galatians 4:16, “Am I therefore become your enemy, because I tell you the truth?”

Jesus commanded every believer in Matthew 18:22 not to forgive others 7 times, but 70 times 7. Pastor Jeff Redlin won't forgive me once! I doubt if he'll ever write me back. I'm thinking about writing a letter to PCC once a week, for years to come if necessary, going over Redlin's head, in all due respect and kindness to the entire PCC family, until Pastor Redlin responds as a Christian ought. Jesus said to leave your gift to God at the altar, and go make it right with your brother first, and only then come back to God. Until Pastor Redlin makes peace with me, God will not bless him. He may have money, shallow friends, worldly success and the praise of lemmings in his church, but not the blessings of God. I am the only one trying to reconcile and make peace, casting my pearl before the swine with proud pastors who are playing God.

Hurting people hurt people. Pastor Redlin deeply hurt my feelings when he scolded me for confiding in him that my former wife divorced me 15 years ago, and I was hoping to find a wife at Campus Church. Instead of showing God's love, compassion, empathy and some understanding, he harshly scolded me for coming to church to find a wife. But he said that, not me. I never said the ONLY reason I came to church was to find a wife. It just so happens that it is a big church, and I realized that it might be a good place to find a wife, which greatly offended him. You simply don't scold a 54 year old man for wanting to find a wife. That was not very wise of Pastor Redlin to do that, and so I lashed out back against him, because I felt he deserved it. I feel bad about that, and I have apologized to him, but it seems that there is no forgiveness or second chances at Campus Church and Pensacola Christian College (from all the horror stories I keep reading on the internet about students being terminated).

My heart is broken and sad, that my brother in Christ refuses to reconcile with me. I am not just asking for his forgiveness, I am offering to do whatever it takes to make reconciliation. I'll apology to the whole church if that is what he wants, but my hands are tied until he does the right thing. And so, that is where I am at right now with Campus Church. I am still waiting and waiting and waiting to hear back from them, but I am not holding my breath. Something is very wrong with the PCC family, that they require absolute allegiance or else. PCC won't let people be people. You don't get a chance to mess up over there. If you don't believe me, go search the internet for angry former PCC students. I was 100% kind and loving toward Pastor Redlin in the summer of 2021, but he made multiple inflammatory remarks to me, which deeply hurt my feelings. Jeff Redlin drew first blood! He drew first blood. But I am drawing first love. I have written to him to make peace, but he won't respond. What does that say about Pastor Redlin?

I will continue to pray for the guy, asking God to humble him. Everyone deserves a second chance. And to clarify, the things I have said online about Campus Church and PCC I stand behind, but in hindsight I regret saying them, simply because I don't have a church to attend now. Calvinism has crept into so many Baptist churches today. The Smyrna Baptist Church is corrupt. The First Baptist Church of Pensacola is corrupt. The New Warrington Baptist Church is corrupt. I hope and pray at some point that Campus Church will forgive me and allow me to attend their church services. All I can do is try. One day at a time.

Why Pastors Like Jeff Redlin At Pensacola Christian College Don't Care

John 10:11-14, “I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep. But he that is an hireling, and not the shepherd, whose own the sheep are not, seeth the wolf coming, and leaveth the sheep, and fleeth: and the wolf catcheth them, and scattereth the sheep. The hireling fleeth, because he is an hireling, and careth not for the sheep. I am the good shepherd, and know my sheep, and am known of mine.”

I was amazed one day when I read the preceding passage of Scripture. It is absolutely amazing to me, how we can read and look over a Bible passage repeatedly for 10, 20, 30 or even 40 years and not see golden nuggets of truth tucked away in the precious inspired Word of God. And the trustworthy King James Bible is 100% verbally (word for word) and plenary (the whole canon, all 66 books) inspired; please don't let anybody tell you differently!!!

I had known (since I was wonderfully saved at age 13 in 1980, by God's grace through faith alone in Jesus Christ) that Jesus is the Good Shepherd. Every born-again child of God is a lamb. Jesus is our Good Shepherd. As we just read in John 10:11-14, the pastor who is a hireling (meaning it is just a job to him for money) flees when trouble comes.

I heard recently about a pastor in Rockford, Illinois who quit as senior pastor in 2021, because of a sex scandal in the local church involving a church member (but not the pastor). I don't understand why a pastor, with over 40 years of faithful service to God's flock, would bail out on a church during their darkest hour. Consequently, hundreds of church members also quit, never to return. The church stopped its Bus Ministry. What a shame! Now is the time more than ever to keep those buses rolling! The church is dying. Folks, never quit during the battle!!! FIGHT, But If You Cannot FIGHT, WITHSTAND, But If You Cannot WITHSTAND, Then STAND!!! (a wonderful sermon by Pastor Jack Hyles, preached in 1991).

Jesus said in John 10:13, “The hireling fleeth, because he is an hireling, and careth not for the sheep.” I had attended Campus Church at Pensacola Christian College (PCC)  for the summer of 2021. Sadly, Pastor Jeff Redlin (their senior pastor) horrible mistreated me as a new guest. He scolded me for hoping to find a wife at Campus Church. What a selfish man. Only an unwise pastor would scold a 54 year old man for hoping to remarry, after 15 years of being divorced by my wife and lonely. Redlin never once offered to pray with me. He just didn't care. Jeff Redlin never once told me that he loved me with Christ's love, even after I spent 5 hours taking the time to pour out my heart in a lengthy email to him. That is a terrible pastor! You see, Pastor Redlin is merely a hireling, like Jesus said, so he doesn't care! John 10:13, “The hireling fleeth, because he is an hireling, and careth not for the sheep.”

When I arrived in Pensacola, the ungodly Woodspring Suites Hotel where I had made advanced reservations for 3-days, cancelled my confirmed reservation without notice, when my flight was delayed by United Airlines on Guam for one hour. I missed my connecting flight to Denver in Honolulu, and ended up having a 17 hour layover in Oahu. The rotten hotel manager didn't care and cancelled my stay. So I ended up literally sleeping in Walmart's parking lot on Mobile Highway in Pensacola for the 4th of July weekend. I was watching fireworks being lit off in neighborhoods all around me, while living in Walmart's parking lot.

I attended Campus Church for the first time on the 4th of July, 2021, at their big picnic. I kindly told Pastor Redlin about my situation at the Campus Church picnic, that I was sleeping in Walmart's parking lot. I saw the startled look on his face, and then he just cold-heartedly walked away and never came back. What an uncaring person! Redlin missed a gulden opportunity to help Jesus that day:

Matthew 25:40 and 45, “And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me. ...Then shall he answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to me.”

Pastor Redlin walked away from Jesus. Ironically, I was wearing my hat that says “Jesus” on it. Whenever you help a child of God, you are helping Jesus! And when you don't help a child of God, you didn't help Jesus! In other words, Jesus has the precious attitude that “We are in this thing called Christianity together!” That is why we read in Colossians 3:1-3, “If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God. Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth. For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God.” I LOVE THAT LAST VERSE!!! The day that you got saved (hopefully you are saved), your identity become one with Jesus Christ.

At the time of salvation, that is, the new birth, all of the sins which were recorded against us in Heaven were forever washed away:

Revelation 1:5-6, “And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood, And hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.”

Do you understand dear redeemed child of God, that the day we were saved, we were appointed to be kings and priests to reign with Christ in His future Millennial Kingdom? Revelation 20:6, “Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.” Our old mortal bodies in the earth, will be resurrected at the Rapture as new physical immortal bodies (1st Corinthians 15:51-58). But the pastors who only care about their paycheck, the HIRELINGS, don't care! Pastor Jeff Redlin doesn't care! I love people and don't like to have bad blood. So on June 17th, 2022 I sincerely wrote a kind letter to Pastor Jeff Redlin at Campus Church. In the letter I asked him to please forgive me and allow me to once again attend Campus Church. I explained my hardships and health woes, asking for his love and an olive branch (an offering of peace), Very sadly, Jeff Redlin didn't bother to respond. Evidently I'm not worth his time.

I've been praying for Pastor Redlin, that God will humble his pride and haughty spirit. Mr. Redlin is not a humble man, not at all. Sadly, there is no forgiveness at Campus Church. I contacted their Pastor's Office, but there is no second chances at PCC. God will judge between me and Campus Church. SHAME on the PCC camp for hiring such an uncaring fool to influence their thousands of students. Is that the kind of poor example that PCC wants their students to see and emulate, an uncaring proud pastor who refuses to forgive and give a hurting man a second chance?

As a testimony before God and man, I am still willing to remove all my criticisms against Pastor Redlin, Pensacola Christian College and Campus Church from social media, if they'll simply allow me to attend Campus Church again, but Jeff Redlin so far would rather be at war instead of make peace. Does that sound like a man of God to you? No way! By refusing to reply to my sincere plea for forgiveness, Pastor Jeff Redlin has sadly confirmed everything negative which I have said about him on social media, primarily that Jeff Redlin is a cold-hearted academic snob who woefully lacks God's love and compassion for hurting divorced people like me. John 10:13, “The hireling fleeth, because he is an hireling, and careth not for the sheep.”

I've said it before, and I'll say it again and again... PEOPLE JUST WANT TO BE LOVED!!! I dearly love this man below, Pastor John K. Jenkins Sr. (he is the faithful longtime pastor of the First Baptist Church of Glenarden, Maryland). God bless this beautiful redeemed sinner...

Forgiveness - Part II - Pastor John K. Jenkins Sr.

Sadly, we live in a throw-away society today in America. When you offend someone, they just throw you away. I offended Pastor Jeff Redlin, so he sinfully threw me away as a human being. They still have the 9,999 sheep, so they don't care about the 1 lost lamb like me who needs their love, help and friendship. John 10:13, “The hireling fleeth, because he is an hireling, and careth not for the sheep.” You see, Jeff Redlin is getting paid well over $100,000 a year as the senior pastor of Campus Church. It is all about money!!!

1st Timothy 6:10 warns that THE LOVE OF MONEY is the root of all evil. These carnal pastors and leaders at PCC are so defensive of their salaries, that they are always on the defensive. I triple-dog dare you to search Google for Pensacola Christian College scandal, sex abuse, mental abuse, expelled students, rape and you will see how corrupt and horrible Campus Church and PCC really are. They don't give a damn about hurting people!!! All they care about is making more filthy lucre (bill-gotten money). When a religious institution like Pensacola Christian College expels their own senior students over the smallest of offenses (i.e., Twitter comments, showing public allegiance to confederate general Robert E. Lee, et cetera).

Kindly said, Campus Church and Pensacola Christian College leadership seriously lack good sense, God's love and compassion for people. I attended Campus Church as a new guest for the summer of 2021. Their senior pastor, Jeff Redlin, was emotionally cruel and abusive toward me because I am a divorced single man. It didn't matter to him that my former wife abandoned and divorced me in 2006, and I have lived alone since, Redlin made it clear that I am not permitted to ever get remarried. According to Jeff Redlin, a man should just use a pillow and box of napkins for the rest of his life when his libido needs to be relieved. PCC are out of touch with reality. Redlin literally scolded me for telling him that I hoped to "find a wife at Campus Church." He told me right in front of his wife, that if I ever did find a woman to marry, he wouldn't perform the wedding. Jeff Redlin is cruel! John 10:13, “The hireling fleeth, because he is an hireling, and careth not for the sheep.” The hireling doesn't care!

Long story short, I felt unwanted and unloved as a hurting divorced person at PCC, so I left Campus Church in September of 2021. I then became critical on social media of Jeff Redlin and PCC. But I felt bad, because I love God and people. I wanted to make peace with them at Campus Church. So I wrote a very kind and sincere letter and mailed it to Pastor Redlin on June 17, 2022, asking him to please forgive me and allow me to attend Campus Church again. He never bothered to respond. I must have offended the PCC gods. It just justifies all my criticisms against Pastor Redlin and PCC, that they are a bunch of cold-hearted academics who woefully lack God's love and compassion for people. That is not Bible Christianity. People just want to be loved, an important lesson that the PCC camp still haven't learned after all these many years they've been in business. It is truly sad. Jesus said that the people who get HIRED (aka, hireling) to work with the sheep (pastors of churches), quit and abandon the sheep when the wolves comes, because THEY ONLY CARE AS MUCH AS THEIR PAYCHECK! They fled because defending the sheep wasn't worth what they were getting paid, which just shows and proves that they were only in it for the money all the time. This is exactly what Jeff Redlin is, a hireling who doesn't care. The day that his paycheck is gone, Jeff Redlin will be gone! ...

Romans 16:17-18, “Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them. For they that are such serve not our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly; and by good words and fair speeches deceive the hearts of the simple.”

Jesus said that phony pastors who are only in the ministry for the money, WILL QUIT when the storms come upon a church. They WILL abandon the sheep, but Jesus will NEVER leave nor forsake His sheep (you and me, and all saints). John 10:13, “The hireling fleeth, because he is an hireling, and careth not for the sheep.” Here we see a very strong Biblical principle, that people who enter into the ministry to make money, cannot be depended upon. Psalms 15:5, “He that putteth not out his money to usury, nor taketh reward against the innocent.  He that doeth these things shall never be moved.” You can trust a person who doesn't regard money. You cannot trust someone who loves money! Psalms chapter 15 teaches us how to NEVER CHANGE! One of the ways to never change is to abandon the desire for making money. In other words: I'M NOT FOR SALE!!!

Since 2002, when I started my website ministry, I have never asked for, nor accepted, nor even suggested, that anyone give me a money donation. If I wanted, I could make several thousand dollars each year just from accepting donations. I had a kind man on Facebook, a couple days ago, ask me if I would accept a financial offering from him. He wanted to show his love and appreciation for my ministry, which he said God has used to change his life. I kindly declined, but asked him for his prayers instead for me and my ministry for Christ. Prayer is priceless!!! I am humbled that anyone would want to give me their hard-earned money, but I decided in 2002 that I would never take a penny for my ministry work. I want people to know where my heart is it—helping others freely with God's unconditional love. I am your servant!

Sadly, and I don't mean to berate Pastor Jeff Redlin (God knows my humble heart), Jeff Redlin does NOT have a servant's heart. He has a big shot's attitude—BIG MAN on Campus (literally)—who looks down on a nobody like me with contempt, instead of forgiving and embracing me as his Christian brother in need with God's love. There is NO GREATNESS in Jeff Redlin. I say that in truth, not in hate. The opposite of love is not hate, it is INDIFFERENCE! I am reminded of a beautiful MP3 sermon by Pastor Jack Hyles titled: 'Is There No King In Thee?'

They don't have God's unconditional love for people at Campus Church and PCC, they are indifferent toward heresy in the Bob Jones University camp, sinfully hobnobbing and bidding Godspeed to BJU. Sadly, George Harrison of The Beatles showed more love for people, than most professed Christians do today in the churches. Something is very wrong with the picture!

There are no perfect churches, I understand that. If there were a perfect church, we wouldn't be allowed to attend there! Evidently Campus Church at Pensacola Christian College must think they are perfect though, because Pastor Jeff Redlin refuses to allow me to attend their church services. Redlin refuses to forgive me. That is heathendom, not Christianity! I wouldn't give you a dome for the phony bologna fake type of Christianity that exists at Campus Church and PCC today. “I-chabod” is written over their doors at PCC, The glory of the Lord has departed.” The Holy Spirit is not there in power. Campus Church is a lukewarm disgrace!

Please don't misunderstand me. I am not saying that every pastor who receives a salary doesn't care. But I am saying that many of them DON'T CARE, who get paid for what they do. The way to know if a pastor cares is very simple—YOU WILL KNOW!!!

I love Pastor John K. Jenkins Sr., who genuinely loves and cares about people. We're all a bunch of “Jacked Up Jokers” (as Pastor Jenkins preaches). We sure are! There is a night and day difference between the self-righteous hypocrisy of the unforgiving Pensacola Christian College crowd, versus the real people who are broken redeemed sinners like me and the beautiful people at the First Baptist Church of Glenarden, Maryland. PEOPLE JUST WANT TO BE LOVED!!!
