Though He Slay Me, Yet Will I Trust Him

Job 13:15-16, “Though he slay me, yet will I trust in him: but I will maintain mine own ways before him. He also shall be my salvation: for an hypocrite shall not come before him.”

I often am reminded of this precious Old Testament passage. Job was a God-fearing man. We read in Job chapter 1 that God made a wager with Satan, to test Job. Remember, it was God and not the Devil who initiated this testing for Job.

Also, remember that it was God and not the serpent, who planted the Tree of Knowledge in the paradisiacal Garden of Eden in the Old Testament book of Genesis. Yes, it is true, God gave Adam and Eve their only opportunity to sin in their perfect Edenic life. God was testing them. So we learn an important Biblical principle here, that even when we are in God's perfect will for our life, the Lord will still test us.

I have heard religious Pentecostals and Charismatics often attribute burdens, suffering and tragedy all to Satan (i.e., demon possession which they say requires deliverance from a faith healer). But as we see in the life of Job (and many saints in the Bible), God sometimes allows the suffering to humble, test, teach and further conform us into Christ's image (Romans 8:29). By the way, in my humble opinion Charismatics are very superstitious and even mentally unbalanced individuals. Any normal person would have to question the sanity of Charismatics who bark like dogs, roll on the floor in uncontrollable laughter and other bizarre misbehavior, attributing it to the Holy Spirit of God. I think not!

Job said: “Though he slay me, yet will I trust in him...” I love that! Job had just lost his ten children to a great wind (likely a tornado), which brought the house down upon them. They all perished. Job lost his livestock to thieves. Some of his servants were murdered. Job's cattle were stolen and his fields burned. Then Satan (with God's permission), afflicted Job's health with painful boils from head to toe. Yet in all this the Bible says that Job refused to blame or curse God. Job 1:22, “In all this Job sinned not, nor charged God foolishly.”

I have sadly heard countless people throughout my life blame and curse God for their losses, pain and burdens. I knew one young woman who hated God for the death of her parents. Many people don't want to spend one more minute praying to God, because they say God never answers. To be honest, I have often felt that same way myself. Why bother praying! I mean, if nothing ever changes, why pray? I'm sure you've felt the same way too. We're all in the same boat.

Please don't misunderstand, I am not saying that God doesn't answer prayer. I am simply saying that it is normal to feel like God doesn't. Biblically, there are dozens of reasons why God may not answer our prayers. One reason is found in Luke 18:1-8, which is that God wants to test our faith. Yes, my friend, God will literally IGNORE YOU sometimes (just as the unjust judge ignored the widow who begged him for justice). The heathen judge eventually gave in because of her importunity and gave her what she wanted, to get rid of her. But the Bible says that our great and wonderful God oftentimes ignores us, to push us to the limit to see if our faith is genuine. That is why I absolutely love what Job said in Job 13:15-16, “Though he slay me, yet will I trust in him: but I will maintain mine own ways before him. He also shall be my salvation: for an hypocrite shall not come before him.”

Carefully notice that Job didn't just say he was resolved to keep the faith; but also, Job said he would maintain his ways before God. That is, Job wasn't going to stop serving God and living right. Job was determined not to stop anything for God. Sadly, I heard about the North Love Baptist Church up in Rockford, Illinois. Their former pastor (Paul Kingsbury, a Hyles-Anderson College graduate) resigned in 2021 amidst a sex scandal involving a member of their church (not the pastor himself though). I was disappointed to hear that after being their pastor for over 40 years, Pastor Kingsbury resigned. That is so tragic! Psalms 12:1, “Help, LORD; for the godly man ceaseth; for the faithful fail from among the children of men.”

Job was determined not to let bad circumstances change his ways.  In my humble opinion, the North Love Baptist Church made a big mistake to stop running their local Bus Ministry. The church's leadership have allowed the Devil to sift them as wheat, beating them to their knees and keeping them there. I love the following quote. I'll tell you afterwards who said it:

"The world ain't all sunshine and rainbows. It's a very mean and nasty place and I don't care how tough you are, it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it. You, me, nor anybody else is going to hit as hard as life, but it ain't about how hard you hit; it's about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward, how much you can take and keep moving forward."

Do you know who said that? Sylvester Stallone in the 2006 movie Rocky Balboa. I really love Job's right attitude toward loss, suffering, burdens and heartache. Job didn't lose a child, he lost his entire family (TEN CHILDREN DIED). Wow! Can you imagine? Let me tell you friend, that takes an uncommon kind of faith (“this kind” - Matthew 17:21, “Howbeit this kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting”) when all your children have just been killed, for you to still say: “Blessed be the name of the Lord.”

John 16:33, “These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.”

John 12:47-48, “And if any man hear my words, and believe not, I judge him not: for I came not to judge the world, but to save the world. He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day.”

John 14:23, “Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.”

Folks, I'm going to go to seed [to become worn] before I die on defending this Book—I'm going to go to seed on it! I'm a little tired—by the way, every preacher in America, before he met a theologian, believed exactly what I'm preaching tonight! Theologians messed us all up—they messed me up for a while, I'll be honest with you—messed us all up! When I went off to college, I thought I had the words of God in this Book right here. When I was in college for awhile I found out I didn't. Not only that, I found out nobody did! Not only that, I found out you couldn't have them! Not only that, I found out there was no such thing as any book in all the world that had the words of God in 'em!

But my Bible said that we're supposed to keep His “WORDS”; not His truths, not just His doctrine, but His “WORDS”! ...

Mark 8:38,“Whosoever therefore shall be ashamed of me and of my words in this adulterous and sinful generation; of him also shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he cometh in the glory of his Father with the holy angels.”

Folks, here's what's happening in America. The old-time preachers that built this country believed that this Book right here had the words of God in it! Your grandpa and grandma, that built this country, shed their tears on this Book, thinking they had the very words of God in their hands. And fundamentalists ALL believed what I'm preaching tonight, until we got our own Bible colleges, and seminaries, and sent our professors off to train at the feet of Karl Barth, and Reinhold Neuber, Emil Brunner, and others, who said that the Bible does not have the “words” of God, it is the Word of God, and that all the Bible is not inspired word-for-word. So we did not want to be considered “unintellectual” by the intellectual community; we're not willing to be called “nuts” and “fools”—just chalk me up as a nut! Chalk me up as a fool! Yea! Chalk me up as an uneducated illiterate if you want to, but I guarantee Ya—I'd rather study my A-B-C's in Heaven, then Greek and Hebrew in Hell!

Whosoever shall be ashamed of “ME AND MY WORDS”; it didn't say His “WORD,” it says His “WORDS”!

Common Sense Tells Us That We Must Have An Inspired Bible Today

Psalms 12:6-7, “The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times. Thou shalt keep them, O LORD, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever.”

God gave us His solemn PROMISE in our text passage of Scripture, that He would keep and preserve His "pure words" forever. Psalms 119:140, "Thy word is very pure: therefore thy servant loveth it." I am saddened any time that I hear a preacher saying that the King James Bible is the "best Bible today," but it is not perfect nor inspired by God. I cannot think of anything more tragic in this generation, than to know that preachers do not think our omnipotent Creator is able to preserve the Words that He inspired millenniums ago.

Also, the entire foundation upon which the Devil's Bible corrupting movement is based is the fallacy that we do not have a perfectly inspired Holy Bible today in the world. This erroneous thinking has opened a Pandora's Box, encouraging everybody and his dog to translate and publish another Bible revision. The 54 scholarly men whom God used to give us the inspired King James Bible, meticulously produced a literal translation, not a paraphrase. They were so careful not to ASS-U-ME anything, that they used italics to highlight any added words which weren't in the original languages. I encourage everyone to purchase a more expensive King James Bible, so you will see what words are italicized.

By doing this brilliant thing, the 54 translators of the King James Bible are allowing YOU, the reader, to look over their shoulder, to decide for yourself what God meant (and not them arrogantly making that choice for you). There is not a single English Bible in existence today, other than the precious King James Bible, which contains this type of honest scholarship.

Please read Matthew 5:18, “For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.” Jesus said that not one jot nor tittle (the smallest grammatical marks in the Greek alphabet) would pass away until all be fulfilled. Yet, hundreds of modern English Bible perversions remove large sections of God's Word, eviscerating the truth and corrupting the Word of God for profit. Jesus promised that the true Word of God would NEVER be corrupted. God's Word is incorruptible (1st Peter 1:23).

Also, John 14:6, “Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” Jesus is THE TRUTH. The Bible is the Written Word of God; Jesus is the Living Word of God. Dr. John R. Rice (1895-1980) rightly called them "twins." So how can Jesus be THE TRUTH, perfect and without error or sin; but then God's Word in modern times has become corrupt, flawed, contains many errors, is not 100% truth, could have been translated much better and it is now unreliable? Does that make any sense, at all? No, it certainly doesn't. We cannot have a perfect incorruptible Savior, but then a flawed corrupted Word of God. Remember, Jesus is the Word of God. So if any Bible revision is imperfect, it is not inspired and CANNOT be God's Word. If I believed that the King James Bible I hold in my hand is imperfect, contains errors and is not inspired, I would toss it into the nearest garbage pail and never go to church again!!!!!!!

And by the way, there are two main thought patterns pertaining to the meaning of "inspiration" concerning God's Word:

1. The first thought pattern is that inspiration merely refers to the actual PROCESS of God breathing our His original Words, so any translation cannot be inspired. This is what 95% of the clergy believe today, and it sickens me.
2. The second thought pattern is that inspiration refers to the WORDS themselves. They are inspired because they are in fact, GOD'S WORDS. So if a translation is done properly, then those inspired Words still remain inspired, regardless of what language they are translated into. This is what I believe, a rarity these apostate days!

2nd Timothy 3:16-17, “All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.” Those five word “given by inspiration of God,” are the 54 translators English rendering of just one Greek word, theopneutos. The Greek word Theo means "God," and pneustos means "air, or breath." Hence, the Bible is breathed by God, or as Jesus said (quoting Deuteronomy 8:3): Matthew 4:4, “But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.” If we are commanded to live by every Word of God that is breathed from the mouth of God almighty, then we need an EVERY WORD BIBLE!!! That is common sense!

I contend boldly without hesitation that we have that EVERY WORD Bible today in the King James Bible. If not, then please tell me which Bible is it, because I must have EVERY WORD to obey Matthew 4:4. Any honest person KNOWS that the King James Bible is THE ONE BIBLE for English-speaking people in the world today. All of the modern Bibles corrupted the deity of Christ, removing every mention of people worshipping Jesus. Look for yourself!

Dear reader, what good would preservation be without inspiration? I mean, what good would it have been, and what purpose would it have served, for God to keep His promise to preserve His pure Words, if those Words have along the way in history become flawed, corrupted and questionable? Does that make any sense to you? I mean, really, does that compute? I think not. There would have been absolutely no reason for God to keep and preserve His Words, if they weren't perfect and inspired Words.

The Bible promises that someday in the future, Jesus will resurrect every born-again saint (1st Corinthians 15:51-58; 1st Thessalonians 4:13-18; Philippians 3:21). Jesus will take every dead, corrupted and weak cell in our body and completely renew it from mortality to immortality!!! History records that the Apostle Peter was burned alive upside down at the stake for his Christian testimony, preaching the truth of the Gospel. Jesus will take Peter's remains from the earth and put each and every cell back together again, better than new, giving him immortality (eternal physical life). What power! My mind cannot even fathom such omnipotence in our great God. And yet, over 95% of preachers today will try to convince you that God was too incompetent and impotent to preserve His pure Words for today. They'll lie to you and say that at best all we have is a flawed translation of a translation of a translation.

Have you ever pondered the mindboggling question of how big the universe must be? Can there be an end? If so, what is beyond that further reach of space. Scientists concur that the universe is continually expanding, but into what prey tell me? There is only one logical answer, GOD. Where did time begin? Is it even possible for time to begin? If so, then what existed before time? You cannot answer, "nothing," without violating every law of nature and science!!! Again, the only plausible and logical answer is GOD. So do you think such a powerful God couldn't preserve His inspired Words for 2022?

Is there anything too hard for God to do. Most foolish preachers, evangelists and Bible professors today would say, yes, God cannot give us a perfect Holy Bible. The sad truth is that 90% of the shameful pastors who deny the inspiration of the Bible, are merely repeating what they heard other preachers teach. And they are also afraid to go against the common consensus, which is the heresy that ONLY the original autographs of the Bible were inspired by God.

Dear friend, your entire mindset hinges on what you believe about the Holy Bible. The heathen world errantly thinks that rich men wrote the Bible to control the masses. Nothing could be further from the truth, but only you can weigh the evidence and make your own decision. I chose Jesus Christ as my personal Savior at age 13 in 1980, and the blessed Holy Spirit of God has lived inside of me ever since!

I worked with an atheist many years ago, named Mike, a peculiar fellow, who believed that during the evolutionary process that the more superior apes (Neanderthal men) dominated the weaker of the species. So the lesser apes decided to be clever and create a religion, so they could have something that the greater apes couldn't have. Sadly, this is what Mike believed. I witnessed to him, but he wouldn't hear any of it. That is so tragic.

If you think that the Bible has errors in it, then you'll never take it very seriously as we ought. In fact, you'll very likely end up with a dozen or more Bible versions on your bookshelf, which I have seen again and again in deceived churchgoer's homes. The Devil has tricked them to think that God hasn't given us ONE perfectly inspired Holy Bible today. So they languish in mediocrity and go from one church to the next, many living the Christian life without ever being born-again (by the true seed of the Word of God - Luke 8:11).

Dear reader, you cannot be saved from corruptible seed. It is impossible! Anyone who says that they were saved from a Devil's Bible is a LIAR!!! Most churchgoers in Baptist churches today who think they are saved today, are still lost in their sins. If you think that you turned away from your sinful behavior to get saved, in addition to your faith in Christ, YOU DIDN'T GET SAVED. You merely got more religious!!! You will never be saved until you CEASE from all your WORKS (Hebrews 4:10-11; 6:1) and cast ALL of your complete faith upon the Dear Savior (John 6:40; Galatians 3:26; John 6:47; Acts 16:30-31; 1st Thessalonians 4:14).

I've often said, and will continue to warn everyone, that the MOST DANGEROUS PLACE for a Christian youth today is BIBLE COLLEGE!!! I'm talking about the popular Pensacola Christian College (PCC), who in their Statement of Faith deny that we have an inspired Bible today. PCC thinks that only the original manuscripts were inspired by God. Sadly, that is also what Bob Jones University (BJU) believes too. And tragically, since 2008 when Pastor Jack Schaap (one of my beloved former Bible teachers At Hyles-Anderson College) the First Baptist Church of Hammond no longer believes that the King James Bible is verbally inspired by God. They officially teach now that only the original autographs were inspired. It is so shameful. Pastor Jack Hyles is upset in Heaven, I know it! Read what Dr. Hyles said about inspiration:

“The only inspired Words of God are in the King James Bible!” —Dr. Jack Hyles (an awesome quote from the needful sermon: “THE REAL BATTLE!”)

Pastor Jack Hyles (1926-2001) believed and taught everyone that the King James Bible is INSPIRED and without any errors in it, which he admittedly didn't believe in his early ministry before about 1980, because he says that seminary messed him up at Bible college. You show me a pastor who denies that we have an inspired Holy Bible today, and I'll guarantee you that he's been messed with in some religious seminary. I thank God that Pastor Jack Hyles loved THE TRUTH, and was willing to admit when he was wrong and move toward the right position.

Sadly, most preachers today refuse to admit their errors, and will defend their false teachings to the grave! 1st Peter 1:22, “Seeing ye have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit unto unfeigned love of the brethren, see that ye love one another with a pure heart fervently.” We don't have many pastors today like Dr. Jack Hyles, who had a pure heart of love for God, truth and people. That is my heart's most earnest desire every morning when I wake up, to be pure of heart in all that I do. I think that by God's grace I am that servant of God. RIGHT DOCTRINE MATTERS!!! But how can you have the right doctrine unless you have the right Bible? I find no fault in the inspired King James Bible!!!

Why Most Christians Are Not Prospering

Proverbs 28:13, “He that covereth his sins shall not prosper: but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy.”

Most believers have never come face-to-face with their sins. They've never truly been broken. Many Christians think they know what suffering means, but they really don't. Many Christians think they know what it means to be humble, but they haven't a clue. Very few believers understand just how sinful they are. They fail to grasp the depths of their own failures, inadequacy and wickedness. Consequently, they have never truly grasped the richness of God's love, mercy and grace.

The Word of God teaches that a person who covers their sins shall not prosper. Until a person looks directly at them self in the mirror and says, “I am the biggest sinner I know,” they'll never be what God wants them to become. Most believers have not been molded into Christ's meek and lowly image yet. Instead they are sinfully proud, thin-skinned, easily offended and haughty. They hold grudges, gossip often and many are dishonest, defrauding others, while rationalizing to justify it in their own sinful mind. Very few believers are mature in Christ. A mature Christian loves everybody, including enemies, critics and those who refuse to apologize and acknowledge their past wrongs.

Dr. Jack Hyles explains it in different words, in this wonderful MP3 sermon titled, “The Good Man Verses The Spiritual Man.” In case anyone is interested, there is a higher level in the Christian life which God wants all of us to graduate to.

If someone has hurt you in the past, and they have not righted their wrongs, we must always keep in mind that vengeance is God's department, not ours:

Romans 12:17-21, “Recompense to no man evil for evil. Provide things honest in the sight of all men. If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men. Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord. Therefore if thine enemy hunger, feed him; if he thirst, give him drink: for in so doing thou shalt heap coals of fire on his head. Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good.”

I heard a wonderful MP3 sermon recently on this very subject by Dr. Jack Hyles, titled “Either Let Me Do It God, Or Do It My Way!” I encourage you to take the time to listen to this precious sermon, you won't regret it. To seek vengeance is to get over on God's side of the wall, instead of remaining on our side of the wall where we belong. I believe one of the reasons why God wants to avenge us, is because He has complete knowledge of all the facts. There is no need for juries in Heaven's courtroom, because God has all the facts.

God is omniscient and knows all (Hebrews 4:13). God's integrity is at stake. He has given a solemn promise to right all wrongs, and to avenge us! Life is too short to live with a burden of hatred against anyone. Forgiveness is for us to heal, not for the person who hurt us—The person who doesn't care about doing right in God's eyes. We must forgive if we are to serve God effectively.

Believers Will Receive for the Good and the Bad, Not Their Sins

I cannot control what other people do. I cannot control what other believers do. If they hurt me, better them hurt me than me hurt them. That is how I feel. I would rather someone else have to give account on Judgment Day for hurting and defrauding me, than me have to give account for hurting them. I can live with that! I fear God; thus, I choose to live in such a way that I know things will go in my favor at the Judgment Seat Of Christ. That is exactly what 2nd Corinthians 5:9-11 means:

2nd Corinthians 5:9-11, “Wherefore we labour, that, whether present or absent, we may be accepted of him. For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad. Knowing therefore the terror of the Lord, we persuade men; but we are made manifest unto God; and I trust also are made manifest in your consciences.”

I have heard some Baptist preachers errantly teach that when a person gets saved, they will never have to give account for any of their sins, because all those sins have been forgotten. That is true in a sense, but not entirely true in another. While it is true that God will not punish a Christian in eternity for their sins, the Holy Bible does teach that each believer will receive for the good and the bad done in the body. I love how God carefully chooses His words in the Bible. God intentionally didn't say that believers will one day receive according to their “sins”; but rather, according “the bad” done in the body.

The blood of Jesus Christ that washes our sins away has removed the sting of death. The sting of death is sin, because the wages of sin is death (1st Corinthians 15:56; Romans 6:23). No born-again believer ever needs to fear the second death. We must all die the first death (Romans 6:23), but the sting of death is gone, so we don't have to die the second death (Revelation 21:8).

No Christian needs to fear dying, for it is just a graduation into the next life. The Bible does not teach soul sleep. “Soul sleep” is the heresy that when a person dies, their body and soul are asleep in the grave, until the resurrection. Seventh-day Adventists believe that the unsaved will simply not be raised up, which they consider hell. This is not what the Holy Bible teaches. We read that for a believer to be absent from the body is to present with the Lord:

2nd Corinthians 5:6-9, “Therefore we are always confident, knowing that, whilst we are at home in the body, we are absent from the Lord: (For we walk by faith, not by sight:) We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord. Wherefore we labour, that, whether present or absent, we may be accepted of him.”

The Lord took our burden of sin upon Himself on the cross, paying our debt of sin. Yet, every believer's life will be relived (aka, “This was your life”) at the Judgment Seat of Christ, and we will receive or lose rewards based upon our labours and behavior (1st Corinthians 3:6-15).


A Christian's Happiness in Heaven Depends On How He Lived On Earth

The Bible makes clear that not all believers will enjoy Heaven the same. I have a helpful 128 page book in front of me by Evangelist John R. Rice (1895-1980) titled, “WHEN A CHRISTIAN SINS.” Dr. Rice states:

“Some people suppose that every sinner who goes to heaven will have the same joy and happiness. But that is not true. In Revelation 20, we find that sinners who go to hell are judged, every man according to his works, according to the things written down in God's books. The torment of unsaved people in hell will differ, each one according to his opportunity and according to his sin.

Likewise, the Bible makes it abundantly clear that not all Christians will enjoy the same position and have the same honor and responsibility and blessing in heaven. It is true that each one who trusts in Christ has the same salvation and goes to the same heaven. But beyond salvation there will be rewards for Christians according to their service, and Christians must give an account for their sins. Let no Christian think that he is getting by with his worldliness, his sin, his disobedience, his carelessness about soul-winning.

THE CHRISTIAN MUST MEET HIS DEEDS, GOOD AND BAD, AT CHRIST'S JUDGMENT SEAT

Read with me the shocking passage of Scripture in 2 Corinthians 5:9-10:

Wherefore we labour, that, whether present or absent, we may be accepted of him. For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.

Here we know why Paul worked so hard, why he endured such persecution, gave up home, family, good name, ease, honors, in order to win souls. He was laboring to be acceptable to Jesus Christ!

...Do not explain away the plain statements of the Scriptures. The Christian is still to come face to face with his past. I know that the Christian has his sins forgiven as far as the destiny of his soul is concerned. It is true that all his sins are laid on Jesus and paid for on the cross. But God is still against sin. And up in heaven no Christian will think it did not matter that he sinned. Every Christian will find how terrible are the results of his sins. He will face what he has done, whether it be good or bad.

....Do not confuse salvation and rewards. Salvation is free. Those who trust in Jesus Christ and are born again already have salvation. But those whose works please Christ will receive a reward for them when they face the dear Saviour in heaven.

But many, many Christians will see how useless their lives were. Not a soul did they win to meet them in heaven! Not a thing did they do to bring glory to Christ through the endless ages! Such people will suffer loss at the judgment seat of Christ in heaven.”

Fruitless Christians will suffer great loss at the Judgment Seat of Christ. Dr. Rice further states:

FRUITLESS CHRISTIANS “WILL SUFFER” LOSS EVEN IN HEAVEN

At this judgment seat of Christ, when every Christ's works come to judgment, many Christians will see the deeds of a lifetime destroyed as worthless. This is discussed in 1 Corinthians 3:10-15:

According to the grace of God which is given unto me, as a wise masterbuilder, I have laid the foundation, and another buildeth thereon. But let every man take heed how he buildeth thereupon. For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ. Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble; Every man's work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is. If any man's work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward. If any man's work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire.

The foundation is Jesus. No one need start to build a Christian life except after having Jesus Christ as his Saviour. But, having a new heart in Christ, let every man take heed he builds upon this foundation!

For up in heaven when Christians are judged before Jesus Christ, that building shall be revealed. ...At the judgment seat of Christ the fire of God's judgment will try every man's work of what sort it is.”

So we see that it does greatly matter how we choose to live as God's children. Our happiness in Heaven is at stake. There is so much that we can and should all be doing to serve the Lord as believers, especially preaching the Gospel to win the lost to Jesus...

Civil Verses Criminal Court

I think a good way to understand the difference between the two judgments is to compare civil court verses criminal court. In criminal court, the accused person faces potential punishment in prison, torture or execution. But in civil court, the only risk is personal or financial loss. There is no risk of going to prison in civil court. Likewise, there are two major judgments taught in the Holy Bible. One is the Judgment Seat of Christ (2nd Corinthians 5:9-11). The other is the Great White Throne of Judgment (Revelation 20:11-15).

The former is only for the saved; the latter is for the unsaved. The Judgment Seat of Christ will be a civil court for all believers. We will RECEIVE according to our good and bad, not our sins. The Lord has already paid for our sins. Jesus doesn't forgive sins, he has already paid for them, making it a free gift, that you simply receive by faith in the Gospel. When a believers sins, grace much more abounds, so that a believer can never lose their salvation (Romans 6:1). When a believer chooses to commit sin, there are consequences, for which we will be held accountable on Judgment Day.

The Bible teaches that every believer must give account to God (Romans 14:10-12). We will receive... for the GOOD AND THE BAD DONE IN THE BODY! How we treat others will determine how God treats us on judgment day (Matthew 7:1-2). Thankfully, God is just, fair and merciful. So if we are fair and merciful, then so also will God be toward us. As believers, NONE OF US have arrived. We are all horrible sinners. God is lenient toward us all because of God's precious sin-cleansing blood.

When a Christian sins, we fall IN GRACE, not FROM GRACE! Psalms 103:10, “He hath not dealt with us after our sins; nor rewarded us according to our iniquities.” Psalms 103:11-12, “For as the heaven is high above the earth, so great is his mercy toward them that fear him. As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us.” The believer's sins have been washed away by Christ's precious blood (1st John 1:7). Yet, we must be held accountable for the bad.

Apart from God's Righteousness, No One is Any Less of a Sinner Than Anyone Else

The sooner that we realize we're all woeful sinners in the sight of God, the sooner we'll stop condemning each other and love one another as Christ's disciples:

Romans 14:7-12, “For none of us liveth to himself, and no man dieth to himself. For whether we live, we live unto the Lord; and whether we die, we die unto the Lord: whether we live therefore, or die, we are the Lord's. For to this end Christ both died, and rose, and revived, that he might be Lord both of the dead and living. But why dost thou judge thy brother? or why dost thou set at nought thy brother? for we shall all stand before the judgment seat of Christ. For it is written, As I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God. So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God.”

What a beautiful passage of Scripture!

When I am reminded of the painful things which wicked people have done unto me, I always rejoice that they hurt me instead of me hurting them. I can live with that! I love what Brother Hyles always said, that he chose rather to look at people as broken rather than bad. I am far from perfect, but I have a repentant heart toward my sins and failures, which has allowed God to prosper me and my work for Christ. When a believer covers their sins, they become hardened and critical of other sinners:

Romans 2:1-3, “Therefore thou art inexcusable, O man, whosoever thou art that judgest: for wherein thou judgest another, thou condemnest thyself; for thou that judgest doest the same things. But we are sure that the judgment of God is according to truth against them which commit such things. And thinkest thou this, O man, that judgest them which do such things, and doest the same, that thou shalt escape the judgment of God?”

We are all guilty sinners! The only difference between me and the vilest homosexual, habitual thief or dirtiest adulterer in the world is that my sins have been washed away by the precious blood of Jesus. Apart from God's imputed righteousness, we would all be utterly lost in our wickedness without any hope. Thank God for the gift of His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ!!!

If anyone is righteous, it is only because of the imputed righteousness of our great God and Savior!


Oh, Precious Jesus, My Redeemer Art Thou

I have not always done the right thing, and neither have you. We are all imperfect sinners, but thankfully we have a perfect Redeemer. I have been hurt by numerous people in the past. They have never made things right. They refuse to acknowledge their sins and wrongs against me. They are proud, shallow, and have chosen to move forward without making restitution and reconciliation for their evils against me. Yet, I love them. I have decided to forgive them before they seek my forgiveness, even before they make things right. They likely won't judge themselves as the Bible teaches in 1st Corinthians 11:31, “For if we would judge ourselves, we should not be judged.” Most likely, God will need to judge them in eternity, because they refuse to do so. But ultimately, no one can ever sin and get away with it. All things are open and naked before the eyes of our Judge (Hebrews 4:13).

When reminded of painful memories, I always pray for those who have hurt me for Christ's sake. I am always comforted in my soul, knowing that God has promised to hold all men accountable for their sins. For example: 1st Thessalonians 4:6, “That no man go beyond and defraud his brother in any matter: because that the Lord is the avenger of all such, as we also have forewarned you and testified.” I find peace in losing myself in the work of God. I stay so busy for the Lord labouring, that I don't have time to sulk, or fret, or dwell upon the negative. When I am saddened about anything, past, present or future, I redirect my painful energy into my labours for Christ, which always cheers me up and causes me to forget what I was thinking about. There's no sad feelings or a depressed mood that some fundamentalist Bible-preaching cannot remedy! Amen!!! I choose to live above the clouds where the Son is always shining, instead of below the clouds under the rains of criticism, failures and worry.

Colossians 3:1-3, “If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God. Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth. For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God.” Whew! Amen! Glory to God, you won't find a better Scripture than Colossians 3:1-3!!! I am dead to this sinful world, and my life is hidden in Jesus Christ. The Holy Bible teaches us to set our affection on things in Heaven. The Greek word for “affection” is phroneo and means “to exercise one's mind.” In other words, God is telling us to think about heavenly things, spiritual things, the things of Jesus Christ; and not upon the carnal, sinful and secular things of this temporary world below. If you are discouraged my friend, get your mind off of this crazy world! Abide in the Scriptures!

I love listening to Alexander Scourby read the King James Bible. You can listen to the entire King James Bible for free on YouTube, which takes about 75 hours. What a beautiful thing to have. For thousands of years, God's children would have given anything to be able to sit back and listen to the Word of God being read as we can today. Yet, sadly and tragically, extremely few people (including Christian believers) have the spiritual maturity and character to listen to the Word of God. Woe unto anyone who neglects God's Words!!! Mr. Scourby read over 400 books so that blind people could hear them. Reading the King James Bible was the crowning achievement of his life. Thank God for Alexander Scourby! I promise you that listening to the Word of God daily, around the house or in your car, will be the most beneficial thing to your life from now on.

Critical, Judgmental , Gossiping Believers Fail To See Own Wickedness

A sure sign of a believer who is covering up their own sins, is one who is quick to condemn and slander others. A gossiping tongue is evidence of lack of an underlying repentant spirit. The Holy Bible tells us 1st Corinthians 6:20, “For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.” Most believers are familiar with the command to glorify God with one's body, but overlook the fact that our spirit also belongs to God. Every believer is bought with a price, and that price is the precious blood of Jesus Christ, which was sprinkled upon the heavenly Mercy Seat, the right place). We are not glorifying God with our spirit when we gossip, hate other sinners, criticize our circumstances, boast of future plans without regarding God's will, or acknowledge our sins.

Carefully notice our text verse again. Proverbs 28:13: “He that covereth his sins shall not prosper: but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy.” This Bible verse speaks about being totally right with God, in both salvation and discipleship. Salvation makes us right with God as His creature; Discipleship makes us right with God as His child. You can be right with God as His creature (imputed righteousness), but still not be right with God as His child (relative or personal righteousness). Lot was living a wicked life of sin in Sodom, yet we read in 2nd Peter 2:7-8 about “just Lot.” The word “just” means righteous, that is, born-again. The only way to be “MADE RIGHTEOUS” is through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ"

Romans 5:19-21, “For as by one man's [Adam's] disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one [Jesus Christ] shall many be made righteous. Moreover the law entered, that the offence might abound. But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound: That as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord.”

If a Christian believer ever truly grasps his or her own depth of wickedness, they will never condemn another sinner again. WE ARE ALL GUILTY SINNERS IN THE SIGHT OF A HOLY GOD!!! We live in a hypocritical society today in America. Perhaps you have seen people accused of crimes appear in court. They are bound in handcuffs and ankle shackles, wearing an orange suit, looking at felony charges and facing serious prison time.

My friend, in God's eyes we are all worthy of such treatment! If you've never been dragged into a court room, you and I all deserve to be. Most believers cannot even begin to comprehend just how wicked they are in the sight of a holy God. Not praying for others is a horrible sin (1st Samuel 12:23). Not saying, “If the Lord will,” concerning future plans is a horrible sin (James 4:15-16). It is a horrible sin to lay up money in the bank, while neglecting the things of God (Luke 12:20). Thinking foolishly is a sin (Proverbs 24:9).

A high look and a proud heart is a sin (Proverbs 21:4). The words “high look” in the Hebrew language means an “elevated eye,” that is, viewing one's self as being higher or better than others. All such haughtiness is a horrible sin. Most Christians do not have a proper spirit of humility about them. That is why I am writing this article, in hope of teaching you the importance of having a lowly attitude toward yourself and others. I continually realize that I am the biggest sinner I know. Dr. Jack Hyles (1926-2001), pastor of the great First Baptist Church of Hammond, Indiana for 42 years, understood this precious truth...

What a beautiful truth! Here's another beautiful quote from Pastor Jack Hyles:

“The Devil will make you guilty about your past... You're not worthy to serve God, but neither is anybody else worthy to serve God, and so God's gotta have unworthy people serving Him... That's one reason why we should do everything we can to salvage people.” —a beautiful quote from the MP3 sermon by Dr. Jack Hyles titled, “If Thou Should Mark Iniquities, Who Could Stand?”

We are living in the best and worst times of history. I heard an excellent MP3 sermon this week by Pastor Roy Thompson (1933-2010), titled “How To Lose Friends And Influence History.” I hope you'll take the time to hear Dr. Thompson preach. This great sermon is from May of 1985. Dr. Thompson says in the sermon: If you live for the Lord, you won't have to give up any friends, they'll all forsake you! Of course, you can never lose a true friend. The heathen world doesn't know what real friendship is. Brother Thompson also mentions in this sermon that he was on the Devil's side of the fence for 19 years, but then got right with God and became a faithful Christian and preacher. I thank God for Pastor Roy Thompson! I encourage you to hear his needful message.

My friend, where do you fit into all of this? Are you saved? To be saved, a person simply needs to judge them self as a needy sinner and receive Christ's sacrifice on the cross as payment for their sins, believing that Jesus was buried, and bodily resurrected three days later from the dead (1st Corinthians 15:1-4). To be “saved” means to be born-again! 1st Corinthians 15:6 tells us that Jesus was seen in His resurrected body by over 500 brethren at once.

If you are saved, have you ever truly been humbled and broken because of your own sins? A couple years ago I heard a younger Christian man say, “I've never really done anything bad in my life.” Oh, yes you have, you just don't realize it! I don't care who you are, you are just as sinful in the sight of God as the vilest Sodomite, murderer, thief or idolater. To commit even one sin makes a man guilty OF ALL (James 2:10). That's because even one sin is enough to condemn a man to the Lake of Fire forever! Romans 3:10 proclaims that, THERE IS NONE RIGHTEOUS! Preachers don't preach against the awfulness of sin anymore. Thank God for Dr. Jack Hyles, who did preach against sin, and he loved sinners equally so! Dr. Hyles exemplified strength and beauty. No Christian Can Prosper Until They Realize They're As The Worst Sinner!

Unless you were saved out of a horrible deathstyle of wickedness, you may very well fail to comprehend your own sinfulness. There are many believers who were saved at a young age. They did not go into what we call “deep sin.” Therefore, it is difficult for them to grasp the magnificence of God's love, mercy and grace. The man who is forgiven of much can more easily comprehend the depths of God's grace that saves. Luke 7:47, “Wherefore I say unto thee, Her sins, which are many, are forgiven; for she loved much: but to whom little is forgiven, the same loveth little.” The murderer, prostitute, convicted criminal and despicable sinner, can more easily fathom the awesomeness of a loving God Who pardons iniquity. Micah 7:18a, “Who is a God like unto thee, that pardoneth iniquity...” Deep abiding love comes from deep abiding sins, failures and bad decisions in life. You cannot understand life's sweetness until you've first experienced incalculable sorrow and pain.

In closing, the word “prosper” (Hebrew: tsalach tsaleach) in our text verse from Proverbs 28:13 means, “to push forward.” No believer will ever be able to push forward spiritually for the Lord, until they confess and forsake their sins. Proverbs 28:13, “He that covereth his sins shall not prosper: but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy.” I have great peace in my soul, knowing that I am right with the Lord, having placed everything into God's hands. My body and spirit are the Lord's. If there is any judging to be done, it is the Lord's department. My part is simply to trust and obey.

Admit your failures my friend. Confess your sins to God. Make things right with those whom you've hurt. If others have hurt you, pray for them and place them into God's hands for judgment. There is no peace like letting go of everything into God's hands, which is what I had to do years ago, lest I lose my mind from overbearing guilt, sorrow and inexplicable emotional trauma. God is real. God is still on His throne. The Word of God was written to give us PATIENCE and COMFORT that we might have HOPE. Romans 15:4, “For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope.”

I attended a King James Bible seminar taught by Pastor Al Lacy (1933-2016) on July 27-31, 1992 at Hyles-Anderson College. It was one of my most cherished and memorable memories. I was privileged to meet Pastor Gayle Russ and his son from Evansville, Indiana, at the event. What a blessing! I took diligent notes. I found my old notes while looking through a box of old things this week. My heart leaped when I found the note pad. So here are my notes from the King James Bible seminar. I pray they will be as much a blessing to you as they still are to me. King James Bible 1611

The battle over the Bible really got started in 1975.

Psalms 1:1 . . .

Luke 22:31-34, 54-55 - Peter walked with the ungodly “afar off” (verse 54), he stood by the fire (verse 55) and sat down (verse 55).

There can only be one Bible if God is not the author of confusion.

In Job's time, there was no written Word.

Job 11:7-8 - “canst thou find God by searching?” - No, you can't!

SIX CATEGORIES OF MANKIND (Every adult man and woman falls into one of the following categories):

• THEIST - A belief in one God. Good Theist - believes God has revealed Himself to man in writing, and we still have a preserved Book!

*Bad theist - believes God has revealed Himself to man in writing, but since those written parchments have crumbled, we don't have God's Word.

• DEIST - There is an intelligent God, but He can't be known, so why go to church, pray, et cetera? No resurrection. Basic humanism.

*I'm a cracked nut, praise God! The shell of humanism was cracked by the Word of God. Humanism is the nut.

• PANTHEISM - Everything is God—rats, mice, man, et cetera. God is nature and nature is God. This is the New Age Movement.
• AGNOSTIC - “I don't know,” he says. Is there a God?
• ATHEIST - No good, a fool because he believes in no God! Madelyn Murray O'Hare lives in Austin, Texas, today (a very hated woman that has spent her life telling people that there is no God. She rides a bicycle because no one will sell the fat slob any gas. She has vowed to spend her life destroying what does not exist!).
• POLYTHEIST - There are many Gods.

MAN SEEKS GOD IN FIVE BASIC PLACES (or among):

• Heavens (You can see His handiwork only)
• Earth
• Sea (The water is higher than the land; yet doesn't flood)
• Nature (animal kingdom)
• Man (no two faces, retinas, fingerprints or voices are alike)

Is God here? “canst thou find God by searching?” No! Question then: Can I know God. Answer: Yes!

You can know Jesus!

John 17:3, “And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.”

You can know you're saved!

1st John 5:13, “These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.”

THREE UNIVERSAL QUESTIONS OF MAN:

• Where did I come from? (Genesis 1:27; 5:1-2 - God created all men)
• Why am I here? (Revelation 4:11 - to please God)
• Where am I going? (Psalms 23:1-7 - “In the house of the Lord”)

*Revelation 21:8 - “the unbelieving” shall have their part in Hell!

* If you're lost, you're not a sheep, but a goat. A sheep has a shepherd, a goat does not!

*The King James Bible has 810,697 words.

*Man's heart (on the average) beats 4,800 times per hour; 115,000 times a day; 43,048,000 times a year; and 2,943,360,000 times in 70 years (not including any physical activity). Don't tell me there's no God!

*Did your watch explode into a watch? Of course not! Then why should I believe the “BIG BANG” theory? We time our planned, carefully designed, watches by the stars. Don't tell me you're an atheist!

GOD SPEAKS TO MAN IN THREE WAY:

Audibly - (Genesis 2 - with His own voice)
Prophets - [Hebrews 1:1; Jeremiah 1 - “My words” (plural)]

*God's “Words” are inspired, not just the Word (Ezekiel 2:7 and 3:4 “words”; Isaiah 51:6 “words”).Writing - Scripture = God's Words written down (Exodus 24:4; Matthew 2:5-6; Matthew 4:4; John 20:30-31; 1st John 5:13 “These things have I written unto you”; John 17).

*Most Christian colleges today are infiltrated with satanic humanism.

*Psalms 12:6-7 - God promises to preserve and keep His Words (“them” Who is “them”? Answer: His Words.

“thou shalt preserve them” Ok, if God promises to PRESERVE His Words, then is God a liar or a wimp not to mean what He said?

*The bad theist (Neo) has called God a liar!

*QUESTION: By what authority do you discredit the preservation of God's Word? You can't use any Scripture because you don't believe it's reliable.


THE ENEMY

II Corinthians - “we are not ignorant of his devices.”

Satan is a liar! - he told Eve “thou shalt not die,” but Genesis 5:5 shows us where Adam died. 

God said he would die if he ate the forbidden fruit. Who lied? Satan!

Satan always starts his attack on a positive note. “Yea (or yes, positive) hath God said?” Watch out!

Two Types Of Questions: 

1. An “asking question” (e.g., The rich young ruler - Mark 9:28-29; Mark 10:17).
2. A “telling (or saying) question,” which is no question at all, but is intended to deceive and cast doubt (e.g., “Yea, hath God said?,” but no question is asked; or Pilate questioning Jesus in John 18:37, “Pilate saith” - he didn't ask - that's why Jesus said, “Thou sayest it”).

*The enemy uses this deceptive questioning to cast doubt! “Did God really say that?” It looks like a question, but it's not! It's a statement of disbelief!

*Two-thirds of today's Christians want to fight over the King James issue; We're in the one-third percent crowd! It's a battle raging hot. If God communicates through His Word to man, and if man can only please God by knowing Him, and if man can only know God through His Word—Then mark it down, Satan hates the King James Bible!

*The King James Bible has been translated over and over and then translated into English by man, but God oversaw the entire process; hence, our King James Bible is either the perfect, infallible, incorruptible, inspired, preserved, holy Words of God almighty or else God is a liar (Psalms 12:6-7).

*South American natives will split the skin and use bamboo sticks to sew rocks into their body (wound). Why? They know sin must be paid for. They do it sincerely with tears in their eyes.

THE KING JAMES BIBLE

Matthew 4:4 - Satan can't take more than three stabs. The Word of God is too powerful! He fled in Matthew 4. The Scriptures reveal Satan's methods—he misquotes Scripture. Psalms 91:12 (Satan changes the Scripture)

*Jesus showed us our means of defense against any attack, know The Scriptures!

*If God can use man to give us the originals (perfect, infallible, et cetera), then God can use man to give us our modern day copy—The King James Bible.

Psalms 12:6-7 - “Thou,” “Thou” - It's not man that preserves, it is God! To say that the Bible has not been preserved is to say either: God is a liar (or)
God was too puny to do what He promised.

2. Satan's seed (the son of perdition) - A literal body. Satan cannot produce a virgin birth, but he can produce a son. Satan's son will have all of Satan's power (In Revelation 13 his son is killed and then resurrected).

SATAN COUNTERFEITS:

• Jesus (Satan has a resurrection too - Revelation 13)
• Christians (wheat and tares)
• The Church (Catholic = Mother of Harlots/Protestants = The Harlots). Acts 26:16 - God calls preachers! Some Protestants could be saved, but Protestant = Harlotry.
• Preachers (II Corinthians 11:3-4, 14)

*There is another Jesus! Catholics, JW's, Mormons have a Jesus, but he is not real.

*II Corinthians 11:14 - “therefore” means it is "there for a reason”

*A Woman preacher may say that God has called her to preach; Yes, god with a small “g” (Satan - II Corinthians 4:4).Satan (Satan has his own Bible too! Psalms 68:11 - God has one true Bible! Psalms 68:11, “The Lord gave the word: great was the company of those that published it.” “The Lord,” “The Lord” “The company”.

*If there are counterfeit Bibles, then obviously there must be a real one.

*To recognize counterfeit money, employees are told to study real money; hence, to recognize counterfeit Bibles, we need to study the real Word of God.

*The Alexandrian people are our true enemies! They are usually sincere (II Corinthians 11:3-4 - These people were sincere).

*The Devil is out to destroy you and your ministry.

THREE RESULTS OF EVE'S SIN

*The Alexandrians believe in an inspired, inerrant, infallible, Word of God, but have never seen it and don't have it - This they believe! What good is a phantom Bible?

THE ALEXANDRIANS

King James Bible (Received Text, Textus Receptus in Latin, or the Majority Text) - These texts were collected from Antioch, Syria.

All others (Vaticanus or Sinaiticus Text - Both came from Alexandria, Egypt - Also called the Minority Text).

*Only the King James Bible 1611 is translated from the Antioch texts. Let's see what God thinks about Antioch and Alexandria.

ANTIOCH (Acts 6:1-7 - The first mention of Antioch. Only one man in this list has his home town mentioned, Antioch (“the Word of God” is mentioned). God deliberately points out that Nicolas came from Antioch. Acts 6:9 - “disputing with Stephen.”

QUESTION: Who disputed with the man of God about the Word of God?

ANSWER: The Alexandrians! “false witnesses” (verse 13). Praise God in verse 10 - “they were not able to resist”!

Verse 12 - “council” (like National or World Council)

Alexandrians are disputers! (Acts 6:9)

Acts 11:19-20 - “preaching the word” (The Word of God was preached at Antioch) - Verse 19 - The disciples travel to Antioch.

Verse 24 - Much people are added unto the Lord (saved).

Verse 26 - “the disciples were called Christians first in Antioch.” Christian means “like Christ.” The enemies saw Jesus like believers in Antioch and called them Christians.

Verse 27 - “in these days came prophets from Jerusalem unto Antioch”

*Why don't you call yourselves something besides Baptist? Baptist isn't in the Bible. Dummy, if God put the name “Baptist” on the local New Testament Church—the Pope, JW's and Mormons would all call themselves Baptists. They've done it with the term “Christian”! Baptist is in the Bible. Matthew 3:1 - “John the Baptist” (capital B).

You're not a painter until you paint. You're not a truck driver until you drive. John hadn't baptized anyone yet in Matthew 3:1, yet John is called a “Baptist.” But you say, “I can't get that out of the Bible!” You're right, you never will! Jesus was baptized by a Baptist. Yeah, Baptist! Acts 1:20-21 - All of the Disciples were baptized by John the Baptist.

Mary was a Baptist - Wait until the Catholics find out they've been praying to a Baptist!

“John the baptizer” - Some claim this is the proper translation, but it's not.

The Shameful Harvest Baptist Church on Guam

Sadly, Harvest Baptist Church located on Guam (in the Micronesian island chain) promote the mess I just mentioned. They are a house divided. For telling these truths I was forced out of their church in 2014 (where I had faithfully attended for one year). After I reluctantly left the church in tears and sorrow, I had nowhere else to go. I became very lonely. I had lost the only church family that I knew. In desperation for a church family, I actually tried to return to Harvest in 2017, in humility and love, promising them I wouldn't cause any trouble. Unfortunately, there's no second chances at Harvest Baptist Church!!! They preach about a love and forgiveness that they DON'T practice. They talk the talk, but they don't walk the walk! Their pastor's exact cold-hearted words to me by e-mail were “go elsewhere.” A hurting dog barks!

Harvest Baptist Church (HBC) called Dr. Jack Hyles and me “a cult” for exposing the Alexandrian Bible perversions! No, HBC is the Alexandrian cult! Cults need to be exposed, just like the cults of Jehovah's Witness and Seventh-day Adventism! This is the apostate Bob Jones University crowd at HBC! Harvest Baptist Church on Guam officially use two different Bibles: The Easy-To-Read Version (ERV) to misinterpret the King James Bible. That's like using a comic book to understand Shakespeare's poetry! Unreal! Harvest is so messed up spiritually, so much that they refuse to listen to reason from a friend (me) who lovingly tried to help them SEE THE TRUTH!!! Psalms 109:4-5, “For my love they are my adversaries: but I give myself unto prayer. And they have rewarded me evil for good, and hatred for my love.”

Ironically, I heard Evangelist Tom Ferrell preach a sermon at Harvest Baptist Church a few years ago. I heard the sermon over Harvest's worldwide KHMG radio station on Guam at 88.1 FM. Dr. Ferrell said, and I quote: “A friend helps a friend to see!” Ha-ha! Ha-ha! What a joke! Yea, I dare Dr. Ferrell to try to tell a bunch of spoiled brat Bob Jones' graduates THE TRUTH about the Alexandrian Bible perversions from the Devil. They WON'T LISTEN!!! Ah, but I was still A FRIEND; a friend that the senior pastor (Marty Herron) of Harvest called an “enemy” in 2017. I consider that insult a badge of honor, that I may be considered a fool for the cause of Jesus Christ. So now I am counted as their enemy because I have told them THE TRUTH! Galatians 4:16, “Am I therefore become your enemy, because I tell you the truth?” Oh, for the blessed Judgment Seat of Christ!!! Somebody needs to care, and I do!

I tried my best to help them see the truth at HBC, and have sincerely prayed often for them, all to no avail it seems, and for the next seven years on Guam I had no church to attend. It is very unchristian and wrong to tell a person who has attended your church for a year to: “Go somewhere else because we don't want you anymore!” In fact, that is wicked!!! What do you expect from a bunch of yuppie snobs from Bob Jones University?

Sadly, Pensacola Christian College (PCC) is no better when it comes to forgiveness and second chances. Pastor Jeff Redlin of PCC's Campus Church refuses to allow me to attend their Campus Church as of 2022. I wrote him a sweet apologetic e-mail for anything I had done to offend him, and pleaded for his forgiveness and just to allow me to attend Campus Church again. But Pastor Redlin is angry at me for calling him out on Thursday, July 22, 2021 for corrupting the Bible.

At Campus Church their errantly official position (as taught in their Foundation's Class to all new church members) that, and I quote: “Repentance is a change of mind resulting in a change of behavior.” In fact, there is no such perverse teaching in the inspired King James Bible. It is very wicked to add words to what God said (and didn't say). Proverbs 30:5-6 warn against adding to God's word, lest thou be found a LIAR!!! If God wanted repentance to mean (or infer) more than a simple change of mind (Greek noun: metanoia), then He could and would have used a different Greek word (and there are numerous available to be very specific). Oh how I wish preachers would just leave the Bible alone, and let it speak for itself.

And don't kid yourself, tragically Bob Jones University (BJU) sanctions and supports Dr. John MacArthur, Mr. Calvinist himself, who is an alumni at BJU! Galatians 4:16, “Am I therefore become your enemy, because I tell you the truth?” Calvinism is of the Devil! The Bible teaches that FAITH IS WITHOUT WORK, not as Calvinism errantly teaches that FAITH WILL WORK. No, sometimes faith doesn't work, which is why the Apostle James called it DEAD FAITH in James 2:17-21. But a dead faith is still faith!!! That is, a person may live like the Devil in this earthly life, but if they have ever been saved, they still and always will be saved by GOD'S GRACE (Romans 5:20). Romans 6:1, “What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound?”

The Harvest Baptist Church (HBC) openly promotes reprobate Dr. John MacArthur, passing out his study materials to poison their congregation, victimizing them with MacArthur's 5-point Calvinist views. HBC promote MacArthur's Predestination Cult! They are LUKEWARM for God! Sadly, I know from firsthand interviews with several of Harvest's staff members that some of them are NOT born-again, because they think more is required to be saved than to simply acknowledge one's sinnership and believe the Gospel.

All of these men teach different plans of salvation, as I will show you. Take your pick at a church circus near you!

How about you Dear Lady, could I interest you in Evangelist Billy Graham's plan of salvation:

“We ask people to make a public confession of Christ in our meetings because Christ demanded a definite commitment. Christ had reasons for demanding that people openly follow Him. He knew that an unwitnessed vow is no vow at all. Until you have surrendered to Christ by a definite act of your will, you are not a Christian.”

Every single one of the excerpts from the plans of salvation that I just gave you included HUMAN EFFORT to be saved. None of these are what the Bible teaches. Billy Graham requires making public confession and fully surrendering one's self to Christ to be saved. In sharp contrast, eternal life is a free gift that cannot be merited or earned. Salvation is not a reward for serving God.

Paul Washer errantly teaches that you have to change to be saved. That is not Biblical. Washer probably gets this garbage theology from the new corrupt Bible versions.

For example: Here is Hebrews 6:1 in the beloved, correct, King James Bible . . .

KING JAMES BIBLE (KJB) — Hebrews 6:1, “Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God.” [emphasis added]

Now here is the corrupted “Easy-To-Read Version” (ERV) of the Bible . . .

EASY-TO-READ VERSION (ERV) — “So we should be finished with the beginning lessons about Christ. We should not have to keep going back to where we started. We began our new life by turning away from the evil we did in the past and by believing in God.” [emphasis added]

Do you see how the new corrupt Bible versions are horribly changing theology in the churches? The King James Bible teaches that we must repent from our DEAD WORKS to be saved; but the ERV teaches that we must stop living a life of deliberate sin (evil) to be saved. The Alexandrian Greek is of the Devil, teaching a works-based plan of salvation. Please understand dear reader that “DEAD WORKS” includes both good works and bad works. Roman Catholics teach that you must do good works to be saved; Lordship Salvationists (like Ray Comfort and John MacArthur) teach you must stop doing bad works to be saved. Either way, they both require what the Bible calls, “DEAD WORKS”! They are “DEAD” because they cannot redeem you from the penalty of sin under the curse of the law. YOU NEED A SAVIOR!!!

The Greek word for “repent” in Mark 1:15 in the King James Bible is metanoeo, which means, “to think differently.” It is a change of mind. It DOESN'T mean to “change your hearts and lives,” which is what the corrupt ERV says!!! . . .

KING JAMES BIBLE (KJB) — Mark 1:15, “And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.” [emphasis added]

EASY-TO-READ VERSION (ERV) — Mark 1:15, “He said, “The right time is now here. God’s kingdom is very near. Change your hearts and lives, and believe the Good News!” [emphasis added]

That is wrong, wrong, wrong! You don't have to change your own life as a requirement to be saved. Rather, it is the indwelling Holy Spirit that comes to live inside the body of a person at the time of salvation. It is the Holy Spirit Who changes one's heart and life. Paul Washer, Ray Comfort and John MacArthur mandate changing one's life as a prerequisite to saving faith, which is exactly what today's Luciferian false Bible versions teach.

Now here is the Biblical Gospel, by which if you BELIEVE, you are immediately and forever saved:

1st Corinthians 15:1-4, “Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures.”

As you can see, the Bible's plan of salvation is very different than all the other junk I quoted to you from today's religious great ones.

Woe unto the churches who are shepherded by blind pastors leading the blind! Lucifer-worshipping occultists have infiltrated the churches with their Masonic Bible versions, which all change or remove key theological words and doctrines in order to further the goal of Theosophists and New Agers to “spiritualize the churches.” Once the apostate churches have been weakened by confusion through the introduction of hundreds of Bible versions, and corrupted by them, they will literally follow the Antichrist when he comes. THE CHURCH (the true New Testament Church) will be CAUGHT UP (1st Thessalonians 4:17) and raptured from out of the world just BEFORE the man of sin, the Beast, appears. I dare say that 97% of the churches will be left behind at the Rapture, because they will all have been corrupted by Satan—trusting in some false plan of salvation, as taught by some false prophet, from a false Bible version.

Promoting Multiple Bibles Confuses People

Many churches are using a comparative side-by-side edition of the Bible, with the King James Bible (KJB) in one column and some corrupt version in the other column. Talk about confusing! So if you open their nightmare edition to Isaiah 14:12, the KJB contains the name of “Lucifer” (the only mention of the word in the Bible), but most modern PERversions do not. My friend, if it were not for the accurate King James Bible, all those church members would be as lost as a goose-in-a-caboose! So if you didn't have a King James Bible, you'd never learn about Lucifer.

If you look in the comparative side-by-side Bible, the accurate KJB says “Easter” in Acts 12:4, but the contaminated modern versions say “Passover.” Talk about confusion!!! The KJB and modern versions cannot both be right folks! Somebody is wrong! All the modern versions are translated from the Alexandrian texts. All together now congregation, let's sing... “Da da 'da da danta danta da da.” Again, “Da da 'da da danta danta da da.” Let's sing like a church who loves the new Bibles... “Da da 'da da danta danta da da!”

There is Only One Plan of Salvation, Not Dozens

Many religious leaders won't take a stand against heresy. They are OK with all the different variations of the plan of salvation and don't see a theological problem, but THERE IS A BIG PROBLEM!!! Folks, either you have to stop living a life of sinful partying to be saved, or you do not; but it cannot be both. I am not saying that it is OK to live in sin, nor am I saying that God gives anyone permission to continue in sin; but the fact is that NO ONE can repent of all their sins. Biblical repentance is a change of mind, not a change of life.

I don't claim to know everything, but God does. The Lord authored the Holy Bible to instruct us. The Scriptures plainly warn against corrupting the simplicity that is in Christ. There is only ONE Savior, and there is only ONE Holy Bible. The claim that there is no perfect Bible today is false. The King James Bible is the ONLY good Bible! If you buy into the lie of the ever-changing modern Bible versions, then you deserve all that is coming to you. I am your friend, trying to prevent you from being misled by Satan.

There is only ONE plan of salvation, which is to BELIEVE the Gospel. Repentance is changing your mind, realizing that you are a guilty sinner in God's eyes. Romans 3:19, “Now we know that what things soever the law saith, it saith to them who are under the law: that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God.” If you realize that you are a guilty sinner in God's eyes, and believe the Gospel of Christ's death on the cross for your sins, was buried and raised-up three days later, you are saved (1st Corinthians 15:1-4). This is what the Holy Bible teaches. Anybody who adds anything to this is teaching a false plan of salvation. If anybody tells you that it is not enough to merely admit that you are a sinner to be saved; but also, they say that you must turn away from committing those sins, they are teaching a false plan of salvation!

Eternal life is a free gift, which means you just TAKE IT. We are saved by Christ's imputed righteousness, and not by any self-righteousness of our own. God rejected Adam's fig-leaf religion, and He will reject yours too. God rejected Cain's grain offering, and He will also reject your Lordship Salvation. But hey, knock yourself out, we'll see in eternity who was right, you or the Word of God in the Holy Bible. I am saved because I realized that I was a sinner and I placed my truth in the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ. It's that simple to be saved. John 6:28-29, “Then said they unto him, What shall we do, that we might work the works of God? Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent.”


The Mainstream Evangelical Ocean Cruise... All Aboard!

I picture nearly all of today's churches as being aboard a big ship. On the side of the ship it reads, “Mainstream Evangelicalism!” There are hundreds of Bible versions aboard the ship. There are dozens of different plans of salvation taught by evangelicals like John MacArthur, Rick Warren, Chip Ingram, Ray Comfort, William Lane Craig, Paul Washer, Billy Graham and others onboard. Everybody aboard the ship is going along to get along. Nobody exposes or criticizes each other. Everybody is comfortable, enjoying all the splendors of the luxury ship. They all draw near to God with their mouths, and honor God with their lips, but their heart is far from Him, teaching manmade doctrines. This ship's captain is Lucifer! Anything goes on Lucifer's ship. It doesn't matter which Bible version you use. It doesn't matter which plan of salvation that you choose to believe. Everybody is taken care of and prospering.

What is our nation turning into when AWAB (a LGBT gay-rights group) are infiltrating our churches. When the American Baptist Convention USA (ABCUSA) joined together with AWAB, 300 member churches of their 5,400 member church convention resigned. Amen! I'm shocked that 5,100 member churches stayed!!! Apostasy is everywhere today. The time is soon coming when born-again Christians will either be forced to gather in secret places or in private homes once again. The churches are becoming entertainment centers. It's a big joke! It's all becoming a big circus. Hundreds of Bible versions. Dozens of plans of salvation. Have you noticed that the more that you move toward ecumenism, the more there is chaos and nothing really matters anymore doctrinally or morally.

Sadly, instead of being fishers of men, most of our churches are aquarium keepers. From the far-right Christian position, you've got only ONE BOOK, the King James Bible. You've only got one plan of salvation, which simply says any admitted sinner can believe the Gospel and be immediately and securely saved forever.
