“If You're Not Willing To Keep The Ten Commandments, You Cannot Be Saved”

Galatians 3:1-3, “O foolish Galatians, who hath bewitched you, that ye should not obey the truth, before whose eyes Jesus Christ hath been evidently set forth, crucified among you? This only would I learn of you, Received ye the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith? Are ye so foolish? having begun in the Spirit, are ye now made perfect by the flesh?”

I intentionally picked this offensive title, because it helps make my point. If you are saved and understand the Scriptures, then you fully know that the title of this blog is heretical. No, you do not have to keep God's Ten Commandments to get to Heaven! But that is exactly what all these people are saying today, who preach that to be saved you must: “repent and turn away from your sin” or “be willing to turn away from your sin.” They are requiring you to keep the law, or be willing to keep the law, to be saved. That is of the Devil.

Some false teachers like Jack Chick and Joyce Meyer, falsely preach that to be born-again you must first BE WILLING TO TURN AWAY FROM YOUR SINNING. Yet, not one verse in the inspired King James Bible says anything about being willing to turn away from your sin to be saved. Jack Chick is a liar! Joyce Meyer is a liar! Proverbs 30:5-6, “Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him. Add thou not unto his words, lest he reprove thee, and thou be found a liar.” We've got a bunch of liars like Steve Pettit, Marty Herron, Jeff Redlin, Timothy Zacharias, John MacArthur, Sam Horn, Chuck Phelps and Ray Comfort, going around telling people that to get to Heaven they either must turn away from their sin, be willing to turn away from their sin, or that their behavior will change if they get saved. NONE of what they say is truth!

Today's apostate churches are in agreement with the cults of Mormonism, Seventh-Day Adventism, Church of Christ, Jehovah's Witnesses and Roman Catholicism—who all errantly teach that you must repent and turn away from your sin to get to Heaven! Yet, nowhere do we find such nonsense in the Holy Bible. Effectively what they are all preaching is that you must keep God's law to get to Heaven. If you must turn away from your lifestyle of sinning to be saved, then effectively you must KEEP THE LAW to be saved. That is not the Gospel.

What saith the Scripture? Romans 3:19-21, “Now we know that what things soever the law saith, it saith to them who are under the law: that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God. Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin. But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets;” The purpose for which God gave humanity the law through Moses, was to give men THE KNOWLEDGE OF SIN. That is, the law shows men that we are guilty sinners in need of redemption, and then the law brings us to Christ to be saved by Gods grace through faith:

Galatians 3:24-26, “Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith. But after that faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster. For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus.”

The purpose of the Old Testament law (which centers around the Ten Commandments) is to show mankind our SINNERSHIP. God never intended for men to keep the law to get to Heaven. Men are sinners! Isaiah 64:6, “But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away.” Our best is filth to God. Salvation is not doing your best, it is having Christ's best put to your account through receiving Him by faith. Salvation is not a reward for the righteous, it is a gift for the guilty! Faith is the only righteous thing that I can do.

So when someone tells you that you must turn away from your sin with all your heart to be saved, tell them to go away. GET THEE BEHIND ME, SATAN!!! That is what the Apostle Paul meant:

Paul asked them point blank: How did you become indwelt with the Holy Spirit? That is, how did you get saved? Was it by KEEPING THE LAW (i.e., the Ten Commandments), or was it by THE HEARING OF FAITH? A person gets saved by placing their faith in the Good News of Jesus Christ crucified, buried and risen when they hear it preached. It is that easy, free and  simple to be born-again. But the Galatian churches had succumbed to a subtle religious cult, which had infiltrated and infected them with Lordship Salvation (i.e., the deadly false doctrine which says faith is not enough to be saved, but in addition, you must also turn away from your willful sinning, and surrender your life to follow Jesus as your absolute “Lord”). The latter is a works-based counterfeit plan of salvation, and not the free grace gift of God by faith alone.

The Apostle Paul marvelled that they had started out believing right, but then went astray into some type of cult which requires doing good works to prove that one's faith is genuine...

Galatians 3:3, “Are ye so foolish? having begun in the Spirit, are ye now made perfect by the flesh?”

That is the same cult as Bob Jones University and company today, who go around teaching people that they must prove the reality of the genuineness of their faith, BY DOING GOOD WORKS. If you don't live above sin and faithfully do good works—Chuck Phelps, Steve Pettit, Gary Walton, Sam Horn, John MacArthur and Marty Herron—all lie and say you never repented, so you're not really saved. No, the Bob Jones camp are not really saved!!!

The Satanic Calvinist crowd today, which sadly includes the Bob Jones University camp, insist that you cannot go to Heaven unless you faithfully live the Christian life. If you doubt what I say, please read what the demonic president of BJU, Dr. Steve Pettit, preached to 2,700 faculty and students in January of 2015 at BJU chapel. Dr. Pettit is an unsaved infidel. When asked what he must do to be saved, Paul and Silas simply told the Roman soldier to “BELIEVE ON THE LORD JESUS CHRIST” (Acts 16:30-31). Nothing more was required or allowed. Yet, Jack Chick has a DIFFERENT answer than the Bible to the question: What Must A Do To Be Saved?

What? That is NOT what the Bible says in Acts 16:30-31! The Bible says to BELIEVE ON THE LORD JESUS CHRIST!!! Jack Chick is a dirty liar, who changed and perverted the inspired Word of God. Why did Jack Chick corrupt the Gospel? Who is Mr. Chick to alter God's simple plan of salvation? It is wickedness. In fact, you DON'T have to repent “of your sin,” nor do you have to “surrender your life to Christ” to get to Heaven. Jack Chick is guilty of preaching both of these damnable heresies. No one can receive the new birth on this false premise. The only way of salvation is through faith ALONE in the Good News of Christ crucified, buried and risen the third day (1st Corinthians 15:1-4). Nothing else may be added or subtracted from it.

If to “repent” means to forsake our sinful ways TO BE SAVED, but Jesus already paid for our sins by dying on the cross, then what are we repenting from? Clearly, these false teachers today are woefully ignorant of the Word of God (2nd Peter 3:16-17). The true Gospel always points you to CHRIST, a false gospel always points to YOU. In fact, you don't need to turn away from sin to be saved. Who can forsake their sins? That's right, NO ONE!

Even the best Christian still sins every moment of every day. We are sinning even when we don't pray for others as we ought (1st Samuel 12:23). The only difference between the most honorable godly saint, and the vilest contemptible criminal upon the earth today, is the precious blood of Jesus that washed all our sins away (1st John 1:7; Revelation 1:5; 1st Peter 1:18-19). In other words, the only righteousness that I have as a believer is GOD'S RIGHTEOUSNESS, which was imputed to me by faith the moment I got saved as a 13 year old boy in 1980. Philippians 3:9, “And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith:”

Beware of False Prophet Joyce Meyer

Romans 16:17-18, “Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them. For they that are such serve not our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly; and by good words and fair speeches deceive the hearts of the simple.”

Here's another example of why women ought not be preachers. Miss Joyce Meyer is a damnable false prophet, who adds works to partial faith in Christ. She is WRONG on God's simple plan of salvation, teaching garbage theology:

“When you're born-again, you admit that you're a sinner. You ask God to forgive your sins. And you invite Him to come and live in your heart. You must be willing to turn away from sin. You don't just receive and kind of tack Him on to your mess like a magic charm. You'd have to be willing to turn away from sin. You can't do it on your own. But if you're willing to do it, God will help you and He will teach you how to live the way that He wants you to live.” [emphasis added] —Joyce Meyer, “How Do I Get To Heaven” (13:36 time in video)

I am sickened by Miss Meyer's corrupt plan of salvation. She just wants your money friend. Beware of this ungodly woman! Miss Meyer further heretically teaches:

“If you've never received Christ as your Savior. You've never invited Him to come into your life. You've never come to that point of saying, 'I am a miserable sinner, and God I do need you, I cannot help myself.' Then you need to surrender tonight—and that's really what it's all about—it's about surrender! It's about letting God get into the driver's seat of your life. It's about you discontinuing trying to run the show, and telling God what all your plans are. It's you giving Him the reigns, and saying: 'You lead and I'll follow.'” [emphasis added] —Joyce Meyer, “How Do I Get To Heaven” (22:00 time in video)

My God in Heaven, none of that is THE GOSPEL!!! Nowhere does the Bible teach us to be willing to turn away from our sins, follow Christ, surrender our will, give God control, give Him the reigns, or discontinuing running our own life to get to Heaven. Joyce Meyer is a fool in God's sight. She preaches another gospel accursed by God (Galatians 1:6-9). 1st Corinthians 15:1-5 plainly defines “the gospel” for us:

1st Corinthians 15:1-4, “Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:”

There you have it, the simple Gospel. The Gospel is comprised of three things:

1. Jesus DIED on the cross to pay for our sins.
2. He was BURIED.
3. Three days later Jesus bodily RESURRECTED from the dead.

All men are guilty sinners (Romans 3:19-23). There is a penalty for sin, wages, which the Bible says is death (Romans 6:23). This includes a second death in Hell forever (Revelation 20:11-15; 21:8). But thanks be to God, He loved humanity and made a way of escape through His only begotten Son, Jesus (John 3:16; Romans 5:6-9). Anyone who receives Christ's sacrifice on the cross as payment for their sins is saved (John 20:31). The simple FACTS of the Gospel plus one's FAITH in them equals receiving eternal life.

Satan's greatest weapon is to con people into living the Christian life without ever being born-again. You cannot be born-again by surrendering your life to Jesus Christ. That was the fatal mistake of the false prophets in the book of Matthew:

Matthew 7:21-23, “Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.”

They called Jesus their “Lord.” They surrendered all to Him. They followed Him. They preached in Jesus' name. They did many wonderful works in Jesus' name. They cast out devils in Jesus' name. But they weren't saved. Jesus denied knowing them as His sheep. The dear Savior plainly tells us what their deadly error was, “Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven” (Matthew 7:21).

What exactly is “the will” of the heavenly Father? I'm glad that you asked. John 6:40, “And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day.” There it is, plain and simple. That so profoundly easy, free and simple—just BELIEVE ON JESUS!!! Acts 16:30b-31, “Sirs, what must I do to be saved? And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.”

So where in the inspired Holy Bible did Joyce Meyer find surrender your life to Christ, be willing to turn away from your sinning, discontinue trying to run the show, invite Christ into your heart and life, give up the reigns of control to God, follow Christ, live for God, et cetera? The answer is SHE DIDN'T, she made it all up, perverting the free grace of God. If you follow what Joyce Meyer is errantly preaching, you won't be saved and you WILL spend eternity burning in the fires of Hell (Revelation 20:11-15).

You've got to get born-again, but as I just showed you from John 6:40 and Acts 16:30-31, that can only happen if you BELIEVE ON THE LORD JESUS CHRIST, apart from all else. No, you don't have to turn away from sinning to go to Heaven, nor even be willing to try to stop sinning. In fact, if you add that requirement just to be safe, you will spend eternity in the Lake of Fire. You either put ALL your childlike trust (confidence, reliance) in Christ alone, because of what HE DID to pay your debt of sin on the cross, or else you don't get God's free grace.

God doesn't want to control your life so you can go to Heaven!!! God wants you to REST completely in His only begotten Son. Hebrews 4:10-11, “For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his. Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief.” Giving God control over your life is a matter of sanctification as a believer, which comes later and has NOTHING to do with justification by faith alone. We must always keep sanctification totally separate from justification. I love what Pilgrim's Progress author John Bunyan (1628-1688) said:

“If you do not put a difference between justification wrought by the man Christ without and sanctification wrought by the Spirit of Christ within, you are not able to divide the Word aright; but contrariwise, you corrupt the Word of God, and cast stumbling blocks before the people.” [emphasis added] —Evangelist John Bunyan

Joyce Meyer is a confused woman, who is woefully unlearned in the Scriptures and theologically ignorant (2nd Peter 3:16-17). All of today's popular household names—FALSE PROPHETS EVERY ONE (Joel Osteen, Rick Warren, Robert Jeffress, John Hagee, Pat Robertson, Ray Comfort, Adrian Rodgers, Jimmy Swaggart, Beth Moore, Peter Popoff, TBN, Franklin Graham, John MacArthur, et cetera)—preach the same damnable garbage as Joyce Meyer (i.e., turn away from your sin, make Jesus “Lord,” surrender your life to Him, give up control, invite Jesus into your life, become a Christ follower, et cetera). It's all the same mumbo-jumbo trash that leads to Hell, because none of it produces the new birth by the Holy Spirit of God in response to faith alone in the Gospel (GOOD NEWS) of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Somewhere along the way the Devil deceived nearly everybody, corrupting the free gift of God into an exchange of sorts (demanding the payment of forsaking your sinful ways and surrendering control of your life over to God). Instead of being clothed with God's imputed righteousness by faith alone in Jesus, wearing pure white garments washed in the blood of the Lamb (Revelation 7:14); we are instead taught nowadays to be willing to change our own filthy garments before attending the Master's wedding, which the Bible calls “filthy rags” (Isaiah 64:6). If to “repent” means to forsake our sinful ways TO BE SAVED, but Jesus already paid for our sins by dying on the cross, then what are we repenting from?

We're All Choosing Up Sides!

Joshua 24:14-15, “Now therefore fear the LORD, and serve him in sincerity and in truth: and put away the gods which your fathers served on the other side of the flood, and in Egypt; and serve ye the LORD. And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.”

I love Joshua! He was a godly man who faithfully served Moses, God's servant. When Moses was old and well stricken in years, it was Joshua's turn to take the mantle to lead God's people. Joshua is famous for making the statement in Joshua 24:15b, “as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.” Yes, amen, me too!

Albeit, I noticed a precious truth today in the Scriptures that I never saw before. Like many Bible students, I am in the habit of citing a particular Bible passage without thinking twice about the surrounding context. We are all guilty of doing it. But today I noticed a precious thing in Joshua 24:14a, “Now therefore fear the LORD, and serve him in sincerity and in truth:” There's that beautiful all-important word that I have based my entire ministry upon... TRUTH!!! Joshua served the Lord in sincerity and truth, two words that cannot be said of the corrupt Bob Jones University crowd, and the shallow Pensacola Christian College camp.

We find a similar situation in which Elijah the faithful prophet is appealing to the people to CHOOSE SIDES. 1st Kings 18:21, “And Elijah came unto all the people, and said, How long halt ye between two opinions?  if the LORD be God, follow him: but if Baal, then follow him.  And the people answered him not a word.” This Bible verse has Pensacola Christian College (PCC) written all over it, who have nothing to say about Bob Jones University's (BJU) Satanic Calvinist counterfeit gospel, and BJU's Satanic corrupt Bible revisions that they use and promote. PCC has nothing to say about the workers of iniquity, false Bibles, fake gospels and false prophets. Why? They need to CHOOSE SIDES!

The man of God, Joshua, rightly appealed unto the people to CHOOSE YE THIS DAY WHOM YE WILL SERVE!!! Likewise, Elijah the true prophet rightly appealed unto the people to FOLLOW THE LORD, but they had nothing to say, shamefully remaining neutral in the work of God. I love what Pastor Jack Hyles said:

There's not a more lame, shallow and impotent institution today than Pensacola Christian College (PCC). Sadly, they just want to sit idle on the sidelines and make money.

When I lived in Guam, I attended the Lighthouse Baptist Church for a year in 2017-2018. Sean Quinlan, one of PCC's own, was the senior pastor. Pastor Quinlan had issues. I asked him one Sunday evening if he believed that Jesus' blood was sprinkled upon the heavenly Mercy Seat. Sean paused in ignorance and blurted, “Uh, I think so.” He didn't know! That is bad, really bad! 

Jesus said that a man out of the abundance of his heart speaks (Luke 6:45). I love the inspired King James Bible, as I am supposed to do. Psalms 119:139-140, “My zeal hath consumed me, because mine enemies have forgotten thy words. Thy word is very pure: therefore thy servant loveth it.” The psalmist, David, loved God's inspired Words because they are very pure. As I do, David would have loathed and hated all these hundreds of English Bible perversions today! David's soul was consumed with the Holy Bible! David (after whom my parent's named me) loved God's Word and so do I, because it is very pure!

I explained that to you so you'll understand what I am about to say. One Sunday evening Pastor Quinlan scolded me for sharing my beliefs with another Christian brother. I wasn't even talking to Sean Quinlan, but he admitted to eavesdropping on my conversations for the past several months. Quinlan shamefully said to me: “I've been listening to you for the past several months and you're OBSESSED OVER THE BIBLE!” I couldn't believe what he said, as if I had done something horribly wrong. What kind of shallow pastor berates a Christian man for his zeal over God's Word? A bad one! Psalms 119:139-140, “My zeal hath consumed me, because mine enemies have forgotten thy words. Thy word is very pure: therefore thy servant loveth it.” Like David, my zeal consumes me over the inspired Word of God, it is worth defending and fighting over its inspiration.

In 2018, Pensacola Christian College donated a check for $25,000 to the Lighthouse Baptist Church on Guam. Pastor Quinlan used the money to install a large outdoor concrete patio with tent for church banquets, a big playground for the children, a basketball court and a Jacuzzi for the congregation (okay, not the Jacuzzi). The other stuff is true. It sickened me that a foolish pastor like Sean Quinlan valued a playground, banquet patio and basketball court more than THE TRUTH. Literally, Quinlan berated me for bring what he called “controversies” into his church, merely because I was teaching another church member what was wrong with the Devil's modern Bible revisions. What the hell is wrong with the PCC camp?

I warned a Christian man about Bob Jones University, telling him that BJU sells corruptible seed. When Pastor Quinlan heard that he got angry and scolded me publicly. I was dismayed at his complicity to Satan's Calvinism, false bibles and wrong repentance at BJU. Folks, PCC is as wicked as can be today, trying to remain neutral. PCC refuses to fight. They refuse to “earnestly contend for the faith once delivered unto the saints” (Jude 1:3b). All BJU and PCC want is to make more filthy lucre (more money). That's all they care about!

When I mentioned to Pastor Quinlan that Harvest Baptist Church on Guam preaches another gospel of Calvinism, he swept my truthful statements under the table, shamefully saying: “Harvest is our sister church!” SHAME on Sean Quinlan! That wicked and incompetent man has no business standing behind any pulpit. And shamefully, Pastor Jeff Redlin (senior pastor of Campus Church at PCC) is a spiritual homosexual, in bed with Sean Quinlan, defending each other's apostasy and wicked compromise to the hills. But they say I'm THE BAD GUY? No, they are the bad guys, sinfully partaking of BJU's evil deeds (2nd John 1:11). These cowards refuse to get their hands dirty for God. They leave the fighting to individuals like me, who have the backbone and gonads to do what they refuse to do, STAND. Ephesians 6:13, “Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.”

So that is the sad truth. The PCC camp are in bed spiritually with Bob Jones University and company, sweeping the problem under the carpet by claiming it is not their business what BJU does. When I plainly told Pastor Quinan that Harvest preaches Calvinism, he callously said it wasn't our business. Well, considering that Harvest Baptist Church on Guam is influencing tens of thousands of people throughout Micronesia, that makes it everyone's business!!! SHAME on Sean Quinlan for his pathetic, indifferent, poor, sinful attitude. RIGHT DOCTRINE MATTERS people!!!

God knows that I truly do not hate anybody, not even the Devil. Hey, he's an idiot, so I feel sorry for him. What can I say? Seriously, I love everybody. There are many people whom I can't stand to be around and I don't like them, but I love them nonetheless with God's unconditional love. Concerning BJU and PCC, I am simply contending for the faith.

I have suffered much personally because of the hatred of Pastor Marty Herron, former incompetent pastor of the now spiritually defunct Harvest Baptist Church on Guam. Harvest today continues to be a cesspool of iniquity, a hotbed of neo-evangelical sewage and apostasy. They love the Devil's Calvinist boy—the modern Godfather of Lordship Salvation—Dr. John MacArthur. The $64,000 question regarding all I say is: “What saith the Scripture?” (Romans 3:4b). ...

You cannot show me even one verse in the inspired King James Bible that says to “repent of your sin” or “turn away from your sin” to be saved. Not one verse in the Bible teaches that repentance is a separate act from believing to be saved. Dr. Curtis Hutson (1934-1995) gets it 100% right:

“Faith and repentance are the same; they are not two separate decisions. One cannot trust Christ as Savior without repenting or changing his mind. Dear friend, we are all CHOOSING UP SIDES! I am on God's side, the side of THE TRUTH. Marty Herron and Steve Pettit are on the Devil's side, choosing Satan's Calvinism over the Gospel of free grace. I come to you today friend with the spirit of Joshua. CHOOSE YE THIS DAY WHOM YE WILL SERVE!!! I come to you with the spirit of Elijah, CHOOSE either to follow the Lord, or men! You must make your choice. If you choose to say nothing, like the people of Elijah's time, then you have chosen YOUR OWN WAYS.

I am on the Lord's side. Psalms 118:6, “The LORD is on my side; I will not fear: what can man do unto me?” I have 100% bold confidence simply because what I have been preaching for the past 20 years of internet ministry AGREES with the inspired King James Bible. Pastor Herron foolishly preaches that it is not enough to have faith in the Gospel to be saved. In addition he says: “You must turn away from a lifestyle of sin.” That is the official doctrinal position of the entire accursed Bob Jones University camp (Galatians 1:6-9). You cannot show me anything in the inspired King James Bible about giving up your sinful lifestyle to receive God's free gift of forgiveness of sins and eternal life. Only in the Devil's corrupt modern perversions can you find the false meaning of repentance.

Judgment Day in eternity is coming for all men (Matthew 12:36; Romans 14:10-12; Ecclesiastes 12:14; Matthew 7:1-5; Proverbs 30:5-6; Proverbs 24:12). Jesus warned that MANY people shall seek to enter into Heaven, but only FEW shall be able. False prophet Marty Herron won't be allowed into Heaven (Matthew 7:21-23). You don't get born-again by forsaking a lifestyle of sin; you get saved by ceasing from your own works, and completely resting in the finished work of the Lamb of God (Hebrews 4:10-11; John 1:29). Salvation does not come to those who exercise partial faith in Christ, plus something else (Galatians 3:1-3). You either place ALL your complete trust in Christ alone, or you don't get God's grace!!!

We're all choosing up sides dear friend, whose side are you on? There's nothing in this universe as important as the inspired Word of God and the Gospel of free grace.

I am originally from Chicago. I was born in The Windy City on March 5th of 1967. I have many fond childhood memories of giant piles of snow, blizzard conditions and all the tons of fun we had in Chicago's brutal Canadian-like winters. I decided to move my family to the island of Guam in 2004. It was a remarkable experience, playing my Hawaiian steel guitar on an actual island. Playing steel guitar is the passion of my life, next to laboring on my website ministry. God struck a musical arrow through my heart in 1992 to play the beautiful steel guitar. I recorded this Hawaiian Gospel song in 2019, “Near To The Heart Of God.” Here are a couple dozen of my more recent steel guitar recordings. It is my heart's desire to do some more recording in the years ahead, if I can meet some friends who share my musical interests. Last year I added a pedal steel guitar to this song from the students of Hyles-Anderson College, where I attended and graduated (1985-1993). it seems like just yesterday that I was sitting in chapel, having my life changed. THANK YOU GOD!!!

I don't need drugs to get high, nothing gets me more high than MUSIC! Steel guitar is my drug of choice. Amen! And for that matter, so is the inspired King James Bible!!! THANK YOU GOD!!! My heart yearns to play my pedal steel guitar again, and to record, but right now all my stuff is packed into a storage crate since I left Guam last year in July. My life is upside down, like the Poseidon ship in the classic 1972 science-fiction movie: “The Poseidon Adventure.” What a cool movie. I also like the 2006 remake with actor Kurt Russell. Anyway, my life feels like the movie in real life.

Since my first and only wife divorced me in 2006, my life has gone sideways in pain of soul and inexplicable loneliness. I have never had a loyal wife who believed in me and my musical talents. When I was married, my former wife never complimented my music. I would be on an emotional high playing my guitar, trying to impress her, but she had no interest in music at all. I felt lonely even then, when I was married. I wasn't a perfect husband, but all I'm saying is I think compatibility is much more important than people care to realize. I do believe that two totally different type of people can build a happy marriage, if they will simply TRY. Dear reader, your partner very much needs for you to take an interest in their interests!!!

Finding that special someone is highly unlikely. I dare say that less than 5% of married people are ever truly happy with their choice of a mate. I think most people who do find happiness in marriage are just plain lucky. Don't get me wrong, I understand that marriage requires deliberate effort and hard work to make it work, but if you don't have any feelings toward the person you married, it will be a painful uphill battle all the time, trying and working and praying for God to help you love someone who's personality doesn't ring your bell. For years I felt guilty, like I was proud for not being able to lower myself to the point where I was content with the person I married, but I just couldn't find peace in the relationship. Ironically, she divorced me in 2006, choosing to selfishly go her own way.

Having said all that, I heard a Chinese lady once say that there is no such thing as “soulmates” (i.e., that one perfect person just for YOU). I think she is right! If the grass looks greener elsewhere, then plant your own greener grass! I think it is sad when a man leaves his wife for a younger woman, which reveals how shallow their marriage relationship was. There should be something special between two people, a depth of love and commitment which only time can build. We've lost so much in America! People have become so shallow!!!

It makes ALL THE DIFFERENCE in the world whether you have a companion who stands by your side to comfort and encourage you, as your cheerleader, or having nobody there at all. I've had no one all these many painful years. For 16 years I have gone to bed alone, woke up alone, endured life's struggles, loss and life itself, alone. Of course, my precious Savior has been with me every step of the way, or else I wouldn't have made it this far (Hebrews 13:5). But everybody needs flesh. What saith the Scripture? Genesis 2:18, “And the LORD God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him.”

I get so lonely sometimes that I feel like I'm going to die from pain of soul. I have signed up for eHarmony.com, Match.com, Plenty-O-Fish.com, hoping to find that special someone Heck, I'll settle for just SOMEONE...lol. But there is no one. Of the four dozen or so women whom I have contacted on these sites over the past 5 years, only a handful replied to tell me they had already found someone else, or weren't interested in me. Some liked my profile, but said they were looking for something else. I messaged a nurse in Nebraska, telling her how much I really liked her, but she dissed me, never writing back at all. That's people for ya!

A few of the reasons I wrote this blog:

1. I wanted to share my music with others who weren't already aware. The steel guitar is the most beautiful instrument and music this side of Heaven.
2. I wanted to share my passion and dedication to the steel guitar with others, and Encourage You to Try it As a Hobby if You Have An Interest. I wish I could teach young people to play the steel guitar. I made this totally free website for that purpose, to help encourage others to play steel guitar, and point them in the right direction. There are tons of awesome resources available online, and lots of friendly steel players to help guide you. Children are like sponges, highly impressionable. Since youth are hearing ghetto rap music everywhere today, which has even crept into Country music sad to say, that is what they want to imitate. It is so sad. In 1935 steel guitar was king! One of my favorite steel guitar artists, Jerry Byrd (1920-2005) said that and Jerry was so right.
3. I am also a banjo enthusiast. I play 5-string banjo Dave Hum style (I love this man). Dave Hum died of cancer at only age 46 in 2012. I so much wish to God that I could have communicated with this dear talented man while he was still alive. Thankfully Dave left the world over 200 of his beautiful banjo recordings. Dave's music is better than any drug you'll ever find to make you feel topside and cheerful. Check this guy out! I wish schools all across the country would start bringing back the beautiful steel guitar music of the 1920's, 1930's and 1940's before the accursed television invaded our homes and corrupted our sense of what is good music. Those precious years spanning between 1930 and 1955 were properly called: “THE GOLDEN YEARS!”
4. I'm Hoping to Get Back into My Music Sooner Than Later, God Willing. I would love to help younger aspiring musicians, by inspiring them to pursue playing the steel guitar. I'd love to volunteer my talents on albums and to play at functions. I wish I could find a group of people who desire to make music as much as I do, to get involved musically. I have been wanting to move to either Honolulu or Nashville, but can't afford it. For now I'm chilling in Pensacola, but as far as I can see there's nothing here musically to get involved. I am creative and good at improvising, but I need the right atmosphere to be creative (like a studio). I often pray for God to open some doors, or give me the wisdom to open my own doors. I don't know what else to do. Being alone without a wife is so hard for me, making me feel stranded in life. The past 16 years have been so difficult. Worse, I keep attending dead churches with ungodly rotten pastors, like Marty Herron and Jeff Redlin, who couldn't care less about hurting divorced people like me. I am like actor Tom Hanks in his classic movie Cast Away, lost at sea on a raft, weary and all but hopelessly adrift in life's stormy waters.

As my faithful ministry followers already know, I decided to relocate from the island of Guam to Pensacola, Florida in July of 2021. I moved for several few reasons. I wasn't able to find a woman to marry on Guam. I really tried and prayed. I found myself asking attractive ladies in stores if they were single, hoping to find a new love. I didn't. They were already engaged or married. I kept my eyes open in local Baptist churches, but couldn't find anyone. I came close to finding a wife at the Harvest Baptist Church on Guam, but their ungodly senior pastor, Marty Herron, put a knife in my back and heart, banning me from attending Harvest Baptist Church. My only crime was that I TOLD THE TRUTH (Galatians 4:16). The fastest way to make new enemies is to just TELL THE TRUTH! Sadly, neo-evangelical preachers are the biggest liars these days! There is nothing worse than a doctrinally incompetent pastor!!!

I loved their nurse, Kristen, at Harvest and she liked me too, but the pressure exerted on her by her stiffnecked spiritually corrupt bosses kept us apart, which ultimately was too much for her to deal with. And then I feel in love with a young gal named, Abby, but Pastor Herron's successor, Gary Walton, hated me as well for TELLING THE TRUTH, and Abby (like 99% of churchgoers) was 100% loyal to the rotten church leadership at Harvest, as corrupt as they are doctrinally. My innocent blood is upon the merciless hands of Gary Walton, Marty Herron, Joe Hansen and Jared Baldwin. Kindly said, SHAME on them!!! God will have the final say (Romans 3:4; Matthew 12:36; Galatians 1:6-9 and 6:7).

Those ungodly incompetent Bob Jones University (BJU) pastors at Harvest Baptist Church on Guam have the blood of tens of thousands of victims upon their hands. They have no comprehension of the devastating eternal damage and consequences of their ongoing reckless actions. They are guilty for preaching another gospel of Lordship Salvation, aka, Calvinism. They are also guilty for promoting the Devil's corruptible seed (i.e., the perverse modern English Bible revisions, of which there are literally hundreds). They are also guilty for promoting heretic Martin Luther (1483-1546), who openly preached the lie of Baptismal Regeneration his entire life (i.e., the false doctrine that you must be water baptized to get into Heaven). I speak all this truth in love (Ephesians 4:15).

These wicked religious Pharisees rejected THE TRUTH when I handed it to them on a silver platter (Hosea 4:6). They condemned me instead, falsely accusing me of causing confusion and divisiveness at Harvest Baptist Church (Galatians 4:16). The truth is that they were already a house divided, using literally dozens of different conflicting Bible versions among their confused church congregation. For being a true friend, by exposing the preceding rotten Bible perversions being used at Harvest Baptist Church on Guam, I was kicked out of their church and ostracized for seven long and inexplicably painful years. I lost a potential wife. I lost all my friends and church family. Marty Herron selfishly lived a life of luxury at my expense. My blood is on their hands!

As I mentioned, Harvest's school nurse liked me a lot and she knew how affectionate I felt about her. She would have married me (I know that as sure as I am born-again, no doubt whatsoever), but because her ungodly neo-evangelical devil for a boss, Marty Herron, they pressured her to get rid of me. She was stuck in the middle of a battle between a faithful man of God (me, who told THE TRUTH), and her shameful infidel hellbound devil boss who axed me like a proverbial turkey on Thanksgiving day. God will avenge me in eternity of the wife that I lost because of those selfish, evil, corrupt religious men. Sad to say, it is bad pastors who are ruining the churches today, just like back in Bible times. Jeremiah 10:21, “For the pastors are become brutish [lacking good sense], and have not sought the LORD: therefore they shall not prosper, and all their flocks shall be scattered.” Jeremiah 23:1, “Woe be unto the pastors that destroy and scatter the sheep of my pasture!  saith the LORD.” And so it still is today among bad American pastors!

Right now I am trying to figure our my life. I think that is what the Apostle Paul meant in Philippians 2:12, “Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.” One day at a time, and then we die! Life is so frustrating to me, spending all our days perfecting our talents and wisdom, just to die and take it all to the grave. Pardon my bloviating in this blog, I just needed to share my heart with my blog readers. pray for me, I am a bit down and frustrated lately. The hardest part about meeting someone is getting started. We always marry someone that we know, so unless we have a venue (like church activities; such as, Watchcare Meetings, aka, Cell Groups, et cetera) to communicate with people, we won't meet anyone. It was Marty Herron's hatred that ruined my life, because I TOLD THE TRUTH. I will never shut up!!!

So that is that. Please keep me in your prayers. I have strong faith in God (Mark 11:22). I'm eating health foods, losing a few pounds each month, walking with God as I labor in my website ministry, and laying low in Pensacola as I try to figure out where to go from here. I sure need and pray for God's guidance. I haven't found any great churches in Pensacola. Sadly, Pastor Jeff Redlin of Campus Church at Pensacola Christian College (PCC) mistreated me like a dog for being divorced. What a self-righteous hypocrite! SHAME on Jeff Redlin! God knows that I have MUCH more respect for a homosexual than I do for a hateful, arrogant, self-righteous hypocrite like Dr. Jeff Redlin and his sorry pathetic kind.

Sadly, there is no greatness in Jeff Redlin, none! I am a loving person and get my feelings hurt easy. I make no apologies for that. Redlin is a cold-hearted religious employee, who woefully lacks God's love for hurting people like me. I am a disease in their sight, to be shunned and cast away for being divorced and hoping to remarry. Proof of what I say is that Jeff Redlin has never contacted me again, even though he knew that I felt he was mistreating me. He did abuse me, just like Samantha Field, and doesn't care, as long as his paycheck clears for $125,000 a year! Just like Samantha Field is a victim of PCC abusive leadership, so am I. God is not a part of a shallow institution that takes abuse of people as a trifle matter. Pastor Redlin's avoidance of me, critique of my website ministry and unkind harsh words are proof that he is an ungodly fool. PCC needs to be exposed until they fire abusive leaders like Jeff Redlin and get right with God!!!

Be A Good Steward Of The Body God Entrusted To You

Psalms 139:14, “I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well.”

God has given to each of us a wonderfully made human body. The $64,000 question is: Are we a good steward of the body He has entrusted to us? I see people adorned in ugly tattoos everywhere I go today, and it is truly a sad thing. I think that is especially true for women. Ladies, please do not mark up the lovely body which God has given to you. I think it is foolish, worldly and sad to see a beautiful woman covered in green dark tattoo ink. That is not God's will for your life. I think many women who get tattoos have rebellion issues and getting a tattoo is her way of expressing her independence.

I gained some weight going into winter last year. So I needed to go on a dietary fast, getting ready for the summer. I lost 7 pounds this month so far. Here's a partial list of the foods that I've been eating to help me lose weight quickly:

1. Avocados (200 to 300 calories each)
2. Oatmeal (150 calories per 1/2 cup)
3. Beans (120 calories per 1/2 cup dry)
4. Onions (60 calories each; I chop up one onion in each batch of beans. Onions help to reduce inflammation which causes pain (so onions help reduce my neck pain a bit)
5. Sardines (170 to 200 calories per can; sardines are high in Omega 3 fatty acids, which also help to reduce inflammation that causes pain.
6. Blackberries, green seedless grapes and cherries (grapes help make the body feel satiated, full longer)
7. Natural sunflower, flax and pumpkin seeds (seeds are rich in needful nutrients)
8. Shelled pecan nuts, pine nuts, macadamia nuts (nuts are high in good fat, which make the body feel full longer)
9. Ezekiel bread (80 calories per slice; I love this wonderful bread, which is flourless and contains only sprouted whole grains and natural ingredients, awesome for good health)
10. Soy milk (a whole quart of unsweetened soy milk only contains 240 calories, as verses regular milk which contains about 1,400 calories.
11. Pre-sliced chicken or turkey breast (1/2 pound is only 240 calories)
12. Lots of Dasani mineral water (I do not drink tap water from the sink)
13. Shrimp stir-fry with cottonseed oil, snap snow peas, mushrooms and garlic. When done I drizzle some sesame oil on top for flavoring. But go easy on the oil, because it is 120 calories per Tablespoon.
14. I eat a BIG salad each day. Yesterday at Publix grocery store I bought 3 big individually wrapped salads for $10 total. Each bag contains only 45 calories. Each bag contains radishes, red cabbage, carrots, snow peas, romaine nd iceberg lettuce. I use Paul Newman's Sesame & Ginger dressing, which contains only 35 calories per 2 Tablespoons. Good stuff Menard!
15. Dill pickles (the entire jar is about 5 calories)
16. Barley (1/2 cup is 300 calories)
17. Brown rice (1/2 cup is only 160 calories)
18. Kiwis (each one is loaded with nutrients and only has 45 calories; I cut them in half and eat them directly with a spoon)
19. Brown eggs (farmers feed high protein diets to healthy chicken who are free to roam on a farm, producing their distinct brownish/orange color). I really like poached eggs. Just boil 2" of water in a pot, add a couple Tablespoons of Bragg Apple Cider Vinegar with the Mother (yeast and bacteria in the bottom of the jar, shake it up first). Then break the shell and drop the egg right into the boiling water, and let it cook for a couple minutes. I use only Pink Himalayan Salt.
20. Pink Himalayan Salt has 80 different nutrients in it, which are naturally occurring. Please avoid Morton salt, which has been so processed and depleted in nutrients that the producers have to add iodine to it. Pink Himalayan Salt naturally contains iodine, so nothing needs to be added. Cool, huh?
21. Sweet potatoes (each one contains only 114 calories; bake them for 45 minutes to an hour at 400 degrees. Rub them with extra virgin olive oil, then sprinkle a good amount of pepper, salt and dark brown sugar over them, which will stick to the oil)
22. Greek yogurt (avoid Yoplait and other sugary brands; Greek yogurt is LOW in sugar, making it much better for you, having only 70 to 110 calories per container)
23. Celery sticks (I measure and cut out 1/8 package of Philadelphia Crème Cheese, which is 100 calories total). This is a great healthy snack!
24. Mexican salsa on Mary's sprouted grain crackers. I love these healthy foods!
25. Grilled burger with one slice of cheddar cheese on one slice of halved Ezekiel bread. I don't use ketchup or mustard so I can savor the succulent grilled burger on my barbeque. I always like to use regular ground beef which is higher in fat, making it more juicy
26. Baked fish (I like Tilapia, which is about 100 calories per fillet; I pour a little extra virgin olive oil or butter over the fish before it bakes. Don't forget your favorite seasoning.)

My daily goal is to eat 1,000 calories, which allows me to eat quite a bit from the preceding low calorie density list of foods. The Avocados are a medium calorie density food, so eat them in moderation. I also love dark chocolate covered pecans, but they are 40 calories per piece, so I limit them to 3 to 5 pieces per day. I shuffle around the preceding list of foods, making sure that I don't go over 1,000 calories, if I want to lose substantial weight for that day. By eating 1,000 calories per day I lose 2 pounds per week, guaranteed!!! Don't watch the scale from day to day, because carboHYDRATES will cause your weight to greatly fluctuate by as much as 3 to 8 pounds. Just weigh weekly on Sundays. If you know how many calories you are consuming, then you know of a scientific certainty that you will lose weight if you reduce your calorie intake. A big salad with 2 Tablespoons of Paul Newman Sesame & Ginger dressing is only 60 calories total!

These are the majority of healthy foods that I eat, which have been helping me to lose weight and feel better overall. So I encourage you to join me if you want to lose weight. You don't have to starve yourself and be miserable. To get started, simply eat some healthy food, like an avocado and oatmeal. I sprinkle cinnamon over my oatmeal and a couple twists of Pink Himalayan Salt. Oatmeal makes the body feel full for a longer period of time. Also, never use instant anything! Buy the Old-Fashioned Oatmeal. It has been less processed, which is why it takes 4 minutes in the microwave to prepare instead of 60 seconds. The body processes instant foods faster, which means you'll be hungry again soon thereafter. Old-fashioned oatmeal and whole grain breads take longer for your body to digest, which keeps you feeling full for longer. Remember, avoid anything advertised as “instant.”

The Bob Jones University Camp Don't Truly Understand That Eternal Life Is God's Free Gift

Romans 5:15, "But not as the offence, so also is the free gift. For if through the offence of one many be dead, much more the grace of God, and the gift by grace, which is by one man, Jesus Christ, hath abounded unto many.”

God knows that I do not hate anyone, but I do hate what God commands every believer to hate in Psalms 97:10, “EVIL.” I hate “EVERY FALSE WAY” as Psalms 119:104 teaches for those who live by the inspired Holy Bible. I love the Bob Jones University (BJU) crowd, or camp, as we call each other in religious circles. I am in the Hyles-Anderson College (HAC) camp, when Pastor Jack Hyles (1926-2001) rightly taught that the King James Bible is the perfectly preserved and accurate inspired Words of God. Today, since 2008, the First Baptist Church of Hammond, Indiana (and consequently HAC), shamefully doesn't believe anymore that the King James Bible is inspired. They have done a great injustice to the Word of God. If you don't believe it, please read what the infamous atheist Voltaire had to say about the inspiration of the Holy Bible.

I woke up this morning and the thought came to my mind about the simplicity of God's plan of salvation for humanity. I then sadly thought about the corrupt Bob Jones University camp, who will readily admit that eternal life is a gift, but then at the same time insist that God will not save anybody who refuses to repent and turn away from a lifestyle of sinning. Lest you have any doubts, please read this horrifying perversion of God's grace falsely preached by Dr. Steve Pettit (president of BJU since 2014). Dear reader, such a demand from God could not be a “free gift.” I looked up the Greek meaning of “gift” in Romans 5:15, which is the same as defined by Merriam Webster's Dictionary:

The Greek word charisma means "favor" or "gift." It is derived from the verb charizesthai ("to favor"), which in turn comes from the noun charis, meaning "grace." In English, charisma has been used in Christian contexts since the mid-1500s to refer to a gift or power bestowed upon an individual by the Holy Spirit for the good of the Church, a sense that is now very rare. Eternal life is the gift, or favor, of God, in response to a person's childlike faith in the Good News of Jesus Christ. That “GOOD NEWS” is that Jesus is the only begotten (biological) Son of God, the Christ, Who died on the cross to pay for OUR sins, He was buried, and three days later He bodily resurrected from the dead (1st Corinthians 15:1-4).

Our churches are so filled with poison doctrine today. Kindly said, when I visited the popular First Baptist Church of Pensacola downtown today (February 13, 2022), the senior pastor, Dave Snyder, taught the church congregation that to be saved means you are a follower of Christ. He said that you must surrender your life to Jesus' lordship, giving Him complete control over your life. That is not the Gospel of the Bible. Pastor Snyder didn't mention being a sinner. He didn't mention the cross. He didn't mention Jesus' death, burial or bodily resurrection. It is obvious that he believes those theological facts, but he doesn't make the connection with God's plan of salvation. I cringed and lowered my head, disgusted and horrified, as I listened to him lie to hundreds of clueless people. Sadly, what Pastor Snyder is preaching is another accursed gospel (Galatians 1:6-9).

1st Corinthians 15:1-4, “Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:”

When asked by a Roman soldier what he needed to do to be saved, read what the Apostle Paul and Silas told him in Acts 16:30b-31, “Sirs, what must I do to be saved? And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.” Paul and Silas didn't tell the man to repent of his sin. They didn't tell the man to turn away from a lifestyle of sinning. They didn't tell the man to surrender all to Jesus. They didn't tell him to follow Christ as his “Lord.” Tragically, Pastor Snyder is a false prophet! He is a good man and I only attend the church once in awhile because I believe Pastor Snyder sincerely cares about people. Unfortunately, he is WRONG on the Gospel, which means he is not a born-again believer. Judas followed Jesus, one of His very apostles, but Judas still went to Hell. Judas even repented for the sin he had committed (Matthew 27:3), but still went to Hell.

There are no great churches in Pensacola, certainly not Campus Church at Pensacola Christian College. Their pastors are wrong on repentance, falsely teaching that repentance results in a change of behavior. That is not what the Bible teaches. Getting saved does not change you one bit, it just means that you have been born-again and now God's Holy Spirit lives inside you. You have been recycled from the furnace (Hell), but now the renovation process (sanctification) begins (2nd Corinthians 5:17; 1st Peter 2:2; John 17:17), which takes a lifetime. Whether it be the Bob Jones Camp, the Pensacola Christian College camp, or the Southern Baptist camp, they are all WRONG on the Gospel. You don't have to repent of your sin to be saved. If that were necessary to be saved, then Paul and Silas would have said so in Acts 16:30-31, but they didn't.

In the Gospel of John we find the word “believe” mentioned 88 times, but the words “repent” or “pray” or “surrender” or “follow” aren't mentioned once. NOT ONCE! That speaks volumes! What saith the Scripture? John 20:31, “But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name.” Here again we see that the Apostle John simply tells the reader (you and me) to BELIEVE THAT JESUS IS THE CHRIST, THE SON OF GOD to be saved. But please don't errantly think that this means Roman Catholics, Mormons, Seventh-Day Adventists or Jehovah's Witnesses are saved, because they all believe Jesus is the Christ too. Unfortunately, they ADD more requirements to the Gospel (e.g., water baptism, good works, sacraments, obeying the Ten Commandments, et cetera) to get to Heaven. They are liars and false prophets every one!!!

As I have plainly shown you from Acts 16:30-31 and John 20:31, all that the inspired King James Bible requires to be saved is to BELIEVE ON THE LORD JESUS CHRIST. You must know that you are a guilty sinner (Romans 3:19-20), because you need to know what you are being saved from. You and I, and everyone, deserves to burn in Hell forever as punishment for our sins. But God in His great love made a free way of escape, by sending His only begotten Son into the world to pay for our sins. Jesus died on the cross, suffering the crucifixion of a criminal, even though He was totally innocent of any wrong.

2nd Corinthians 5:21, “For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.” He who knew no sin, became as sin; so that we who knew no righteousness, could by faith alone be made the righteousness of God in Him. Philippians 3:9, “And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith:” Oh dear reader, please don't let anyone rob you of God's free gift of eternal life, by convincing you to trust in SOME OTHER WAY. John 10:1, “Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that entereth not by the door into the sheepfold, but climbeth up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber.”

How I Maintain Spiritual Vitality In Blah Times

2nd Corinthians 10:5-6, "Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ; And having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled."

I believe this is largely because of the lack of Holy Spirit power in today's churches. I attended Campus Church at Pensacola Christian College for the summer of 2021, but it was as dead, dry and shallow as can be. Their pastors cannot even get repentance right, teaching that if your behavior doesn't change you never got saved. I confronted Pastor Jeff Redlin about it, but he defended their error. They officially teach: "Repentance is a change of mind which results in a change of behavior." Of course, that is not the true Biblical Greek meaning of simply "a change of mind." Men love to embellish God's simple plan of salvation, corrupting God's grace, requiring MORE than God does to get to Heaven.

Pastor Jack Hyles' used to preach like Billy Sunday, and it was exciting. Today's pastors aren't preachers anymore. They woefully lack love for everyone. When I attended Campus Church, Pastor Redlin ignored me for 10 days, after someone slandered me and showed him my ministry websites. In his blind arrogance and pride, he wrongly accused me of finding "weaknesses" in preachers on my ministry. In reality, I am faithfully contending for the faith once delivered unto the saints (Jude 1:3). 

I am honorably rebuking the corrupt Bob Jones University crowd for preaching Calvinism, Lordship Salvation, misunderstood repentance and promoting Satan's corruptible seed (i.e., the modern perverse Bible revisions). But Jeff Redlin and PCC are in bed spiritually fornicating with BJU, participating in intercollegiate sports, hiring each others graduates, sending students to each other. PCC and BJU are sinfully joined at the hip, and PCC is being corrupted. But they say I'm the bad guy for preaching THE TRUTH!

I've attended several churches around Pensacola and am so disgusted. They either use the Devil's corrupt Bibles, lean toward Calvinism, sing 7/11 songs (7 words repeated 11 times), teach that people were saved by works in the Old Testament, or are just a bunch of old people ready to die off (no church outreach, no bus ministry, no youth program, no soulwinning). It is depressing.

In my humble opinion, it is the same as why most people are fat and unhealthy. We have allowed the greedy food companies to hijack the food industry. Processed foods make people fat! Processed sugar in nearly everything we eat is toxic to good health. Eating God's foods is the path to steady good health.

Likewise, we've allowed greedy TV preachers and apostate commercialized evangelicalism (i.e., Dave Ramsey, Ken Ham, Franklin Graham, Josh McDowell, Ray Comfort, John MacArthur, Kirk Cameron, Pat Robertson, Contemporary Christian Music, internet religious programs for churches, et cetera) to hijack the churches. Churchgoers today are sick from eating garbage their incompetent leaders found on the internet.

I listen to lots of preaching at home, which I just cannot find in churches anymore. I know a lot of people hate Pastor Steven Anderson, but I love the guy's preaching, which has helped me keep excited about the things of God. If we listen to boring, dry, dead pastors like Jeff Redlin, then that is what thousands of PCC graduates will emulate. Only preachers can preproduce preachers, which Dr. Jack Hyles taught me at Hyles-Anderson College (1985-1993).

In contrast, we have a bunch of Yuppie type shallow pastors today, who are cowards, afraid to pound the pulpit and preach against sin, preach the truth boldly without apology, offend people, contend for the faith and expose error. The love of money constrains them to stay quiet, which is why Jesus warned that no man can serve God and money (Luke 16:13). Jeff Redlin gets paid a 6-digit salary at PCC, which he doesn't deserve. In contrast to Pastor Redlin, who goes along with cults like BJU, doctrinal error and refuses to preach against false teachers, I am getting the job done that he refuses to do. The most important job is the one that doesn't get done! No one likes being rejected, ostracized and hated, but it goes with the territory for Bible preachers! Our very Lord and Savior was crucified for preaching THE TRUTH!

Bob Jones University has gone so corrupt, that they now have crossdressing fashion shows. You couldn't make this stuff up! Dr. Steve Pettit (president of BJU since 2014) is an unsaved, ungodly fool, a hardcore Calvinist, and PCC has nothing to say against them! But PCC hobnobs with the BJU camp. It is sickening!!! But they condemn me for preaching against that ungodly filth!

So to keep my sanity in this looney world today, I run to the Bible like a starving man each day. I learned that from Pastor Jack Hyles and he was right. Nothing can replace time spent in the Word of God. It's also important to take care of one's physical health. If we are eating junk, we will feel awful. We need to get out into nature more, walking with God, bike riding, walking and clearing our mind. I went walking along Pensacola Beach yesterday in 66 degree weather, but it was very nice in the sun. I am fasting yesterday and today, to lose some weight. I ate 15 bean soup for breakfast. I had 1/2 cup of oatmeal for breakfast yesterday. Like everybody else, I tend to gain weight over time, become depressed, and even become bitter toward life's hardships I've suffered alone the way (many because of horrible Christians or fake Christians).

But I always catch myself before I let it go too far. 2nd Corinthians 10:5-6, "Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ; And having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled." If I start gaining weight, I get tough on myself and stop eating processed food. I ate a handful of sunflower seeds, macadamia seeds and walnuts this morning. I drank a cup of water with one Tablespoon of Bragg's Apple Cider Vinegar with the Mother (that gooey healthy stuff in the bottom of the jar - shake it first). Then I ate bean soup I made. Beans are a super food for losing weight! Beans are high in both protein and fiber, which are necessary for good health.

One cannot just focus on spiritual vitality while ignoring our physical health. We've got too many 400 pounds pastors today! It is shameful!!! a 5' 7" man (which is my height) should weigh at the very most (if he is big-boned) 168 pounds...

It is difficult to separate the spiritual aspect of one's life from the emotions and body. I have met Christians crippled in a wheelchair. Although they displayed admirable faith and inner joy in the Lord, they also all suffered from depression being crippled. Pastor Charles Spurgeon's wife was crippled for over 20 years. Spurgeon was often depressed and took trips to Switzerland to clear his mind. Yet, Spurgeon said that Jesus was infinitely BETTER than Switzerland:

That truth is taught to us in Hebrews 12:2, “Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God. For consider him that endured such contradiction of sinners against himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds.” What a precious and helpful passage of Scripture! The Bible says when we feel down, just REMEMBER what our dear Savior suffered while on earth, lest we become wearied and faint (quit). Pastors are quitting everywhere today, because they aren't LOOKING TO JESUS, they are looking to finances, people and problems. Being a pastor is not easy in the United States, because Americans are so spoiled and trained by the ungodly media to slander everyone and everything. But equally so, today's pastors are disgraceful, loving the praise of men more than the praise of God (John 12:43-43).

The average pastor only stays at a church for about 5 years and then moves on!!! There are churches all across America that have spiritually died, losing most of their members, barely keeping their doors open because of a sinful scandal in the church (e.g., theft, homosexuality, adultery, pedophilia, rape, voyeurism, money scandals, bullying, controlling money-oriented businessmen, meddling high-society type women, et cetera). Faith is at an all-time low in America today! Sadly, confidence in organized religion is now at an all-time low in America!!! From all that I have seen, especially from the pathetic indifferent Pensacola Christian College (PCC) and the Satanic corrupt Bob Jones University crowd (whose institutions influence tens of thousands of churches). I don't blame people for avoided these sick type of apostate places and cults today!!! The base of America's society is rotten to the core morally, taking the churches down with it!!!

I am not topside all the time. Being down and feeling blah is a necessary part of life. No one can live up on the mountaintop all the time. So on days when I am feeling down and blah, I first counsel myself that this is good and normal, a natural part of life. I know that weeping endureth for the night, the Bible says, but joy cometh in the morning. Psalms 30:5, “For his anger endureth but a moment; in his favour is life: weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.” It is never pleasant or fun fasting from food, and I don't particularly enjoy it, but I have peace and comfort in fasting, knowing that when I am done it will greatly benefit my overall physical health and emotional state of mind, which helps me spiritually. 

So to stay positive I try to eat well, go walking, spend time in nature. I actually do something that many Christians might not agree with, I listen to secular music. If the music inspires me, then I listen to it. I don't listen to music with sinful lyrics. But I enjoy hearing The Beach Boys sometimes, 1970's music that I grew up with, or other cheerful music that makes me feel happy. It gives me some balance in my life. I'd go nuts if I listened to religious music all the time. And quite frankly, the professed Christians whom I have met who are enamored with religious music were real jerks! I don't want that much religion.

In case you don't know, being right with God spiritually and being religious are two VERY different things! Nobody is more religious than Roman Catholics and yet they are all going to Hell because they are trusting in the Seven Sacraments of the Catholic Church to save them. Some of the most ungodly and worst Christians go to church faithfully, and are blind to their own wretched spiritual condition. Jeff Redlin comes to mind, who was arrogant and a total jerk when I attended Campus Church for the summer of 2021. All I wanted was to be his friend, but my ministry made us enemies, by his own choice. He took the liberty to criticize my 20 years of ministry work, but had not one good thing to say about it. That is a fool. In fact, Jeff Redlin is the corruption in Campus Church, not me! I am simply a truth-teller.

There are days when I feel blah, and I avoid social media for a few days. I need that break! Dr. Hyles wisely taught me that doing the same thing over and over causes depression. But if you do a variety of things over and over, like Dr. Hyles traveling around the country to preach, is exhilarating. So when I feel blah I head for the beach, which I don't do very often. If I lived in Knoxville, Tennessee, I'd head for the Appalachia Mountains. Wherever you live, find the unique places to go. If I lived in El Paso, Texas, I'd head for Big Ben National Park. I miss the island of Guam and may go back in time. I miss the island culture. I am good at playing the ukulele and Hawaiian steel guitar. So I feel at home on an island. If I could afford Hawaii, I'd live in Oahu. But just a studio apartment costs $1,800 per month. One day at a time. Lord willing, maybe someday when I turn 62 I'll qualify for a cheaper housing in Hawaii. But if not, I have asked the Lord during the Millennium to let me live in Oahu.

No matter where you live, you always gain something and you always lose something. Unfortunately, moving is expensive, which hinders me from traveling as I would like to. I wish I could travel the world. That is another request I have made to the Lord in eternity. So I always have something to look forward to!!! Remember, the past is gone, a cashed check. And the future is uncharted waters, a promissory note. All we have today is cash to spend, making real-time decisions moment by moment. I was watching a digital clock I found on Google the other day, and as I saw each second passing, I was humbled to realize that with each passing second, my life is dwindling down to the end someday.

I often listen to Pastor Jack Hyles preach. He often talks about the day that he will someday die, and it is a strange feeling for me to hear him talking about his death (at some unknown time), while I am listening to him decades later after he has gone on to Heaven. And I am reminded that my time will also come eventually, and then people will think of me in past tense also. Everything in this world is temporary. So these thoughts help comfort and encourage me day by day. I try to live each day by taking a step back so I can see the Big Picture. So oftentimes we are easily caught up in the moment, and fail to see things from an eternal perspective. So by maintaining an eternal perspective, constantly realizing that this life is so short, it helps me to have faith in God.

But as I mentioned earlier, we need blah blah days. An artist cannot paint a picture without starting with a blank canvas. You cannot swim upstream until you've first been downstream. You cannot climb to the mountaintop until you've been down in the valley. And so we need down days, depressing times and sorrow in our life. If you will accept this truth, it will change your whole attitude toward suffering and blah days. I admit that there have been painful times in my life, when the depression lasted for years, and I was suffering so horribly, but staying busy working on my ministry kept me going. Every believer should have some form of ministry. That is why we all need to be involved in a Bible-believing local church. There are no perfect churches. I have not found even one 100% doctrinal sound church in Pensacola. Not one! But they still are a church and do some good for the Lord.

Having said all that, there are just going to be times in life when you are feeling down, and there's nothing you can do about it. Sometimes we may not feel good physically. I have suffered with horrible constant chronic neck pain since 2004, which feels like a horrible toothache. Since I have moved from Guam to Florida, the only doctor I could find has reduced my pain medication to half (40 mg Oxycontin instead of 80 mg a day). It is not enough and I am hurting. For that reason alone I am considering moving back to Guam. I don't sleep well at night, due to my burning neck pain. So there are days when I just need to chill and stay away from the internet. If I didn't do that and just walk away sometimes, I would quit completely.

Since everybody is different, and our life's circumstances are all different, no one has a right to judge another hurting person, or compare someone's else's daily struggles with ours. We are all uniquely different, created in God's image. No one knows YOUR pain! So we all have to find what works best for US. What helps me may not help you, or may even bother you, and vise versa. I learned a very long time again that my ministry is my ministry, and my personal life is my personal life. I try to keep the two separate, although they do sometimes overlap. The Bible says: “For we cannot but speak the things which we have seen and heard” (Acts 4:20).

I am not into video games. I played them often as a teenager and with my kids when they were younger, but as an adult I probably play online arcade games for 2 or 3 hours  year at most. But I think it is perfectly fine for a grown man to play video games, if that helps him wind down and pass the time when feeling blah. I had a 50 year old neighbour on Guam who liked video games. I'd hear him playing James Bond 007. I recognized the music from years ago when I played those games. For me, I enjoy a good science-fiction movie. I love horror and sci-fi. That is what I like. So to each his own. Some sanctimonious Christian would probably tell you to pray, read your Bible and go to church to get over feeling blah. Unfortunately life isn't that simple.

When I am feeling blah, I find something that cheers me up, and use that as a tool. Sometimes I feel like everything is going to be okay, but on other days for no apparent reason I feel like everything is hopeless. As humans we are creatures of emotion. At Wednesday night Bible study this week, at the Baptist church that I attend down the street, during testimony time an elderly man wept as he talked about how he thanks God each morning for another day. The pastor lets people be people, knowing that we are all different. I generally just stay quiet and say nothing, because that is who I am.

And to be quite honest, I sometimes stay home from church because I feel that I need to, because of my chronic neck pain, for my own well-being. Getting too close to a group of people can cause more conflicts, especially if you aren't feeling well bodily. It all depends on the group. At the particular church I am now attending, I only go about 30-50% of the time, because the church is not a soulwinning church. I visit Campus Church at Pensacola Christian College (PCC) once in a while, just to see old friends I made while there. In my humble opinion PCC is not a soulwinning institution either. I also sometimes attend a different church, alternating between the three places. I won't allow anyone to pressure me to attend church. People don't see my neck pain and so they don't care.

Going to church makes you religious, it doesn't make you right with God or spiritual. But don't misunderstand me, I absolutely believe that church is essential in our Christians lives. We need to associate and be in fellowship with other believers. But sometimes tall fences make better neighbours! In any relationship it is wise to always maintain some healthy level of distance, even in a marriage. It is normal and healthy to spend quality time apart from each other. It all depends on the couple and how they interact with each other. My parents lived in separate apartments in the home they owned, which is how they stayed married for 36 years.

I've shared a lot of ideas with you, about things that I do to boost myself when I get down. I always try to have something to look forward to in my life. It could be spending time with family, going out to eat, or whatever works for you. Praying is essential of course, but that is not enough. Happiness comes from what “happens” to us. I am not happy most of the time, because of the uncontrollable hardships, painful losses, depression, rejection by professed Christians, physical suffering and adverse circumstances of my life. But I always have peace and joy in my soul, knowing that my name is written in Heaven (Luke 10:20).

Dr. Hyles used to wisely teach us never to pursue happiness; but rather, to fulfill our God given duty, and then happiness would find us here and there along life's way. I have lived long enough to know that Dr. Hyles was right. So I stay busy laboring on my website ministry. I pray, abide in the Scripture, listen to preaching and do my best with God's help to obey His commandments (Ecclesiastes 12:13). But I fail often, as did the Apostle Paul (Romans 7:14-25). Thank God that as believers we fall IN GRACE (Romans 5:20), and never FROM GRACE (Galatians 5:4).
