The Soulwinning Christian Has A Continual Feast

Proverbs 15:13-16, “A merry heart maketh a cheerful countenance: but by sorrow of the heart the spirit is broken. The heart of him that hath understanding seeketh knowledge: but the mouth of fools feedeth on foolishness. All the days of the afflicted are evil: but he that is of a merry heart hath a continual feast. Better is little with the fear of the LORD than great treasure and trouble therewith.”

I love this wonderful passage of Scripture! Dear friend, I am continually feasting in my soul on THE TRUTH. I am a happy man in my soul each and every day. I get happy contending for the Christian faith. I get ecstatically happy knowing that I have THE TRUTH. I feel sorry for all those foolish pastors today, who are so full of sinful pride and arrogance, that you simply cannot tell them anything, because it is beneath them to admit that they have been theologically wrong their entire life! I thank God that my eyes are not blinded by Satan!

I'm feasting on manna from Heaven, and THAT'S WHY I'M HAPPY!!! I don't know about you friend, but I am having the ball of my life serving Jesus! I love going to church. I love singing at church. I love being around my Christian brothers and sisters, I love being helpful, as much as I can, whenever I can, wherever I can, to whomsoever I can, for so long as I can. I love something that the preacher John Wesley said:

“Do all the good you can. By all the means you can. In all the ways you can. In all the places you can. At all the times you can. To all the people you can. As long as ever you can.” ―John Wesley (1703-1791)

When the thousands of delegates met, the moderator announced that General William Booth (1829-1912) would not be able to be present, because of failing health and eyesight. Gloom and pessimism swept across the floor of the convention. A little light dispelled some of the darkness when the moderator announced that General Booth had sent a message to be read, with the opening of the first session. He opened the message and began to read the following:

Dear Delegates of the 'Salvation Army' Convention: 

OTHERS!

Lord, let me live from day to day
In such a self-forgetful way
That even when I kneel to pray,
My prayer shall be for others.
Others, Lord, yes, others;

You recognized awhile ago the words of our Lord. No one ever exemplified the "others" life as did our Saviour. He never typified His life for others quite so beautifully and so clearly as He did when He was on the cross. 

Our Lord in dying on the cross, suffering as no man has ever suffered. Jesus agonized as no man has ever agonized. Jesus was a man despised and rejected of men. Isaiah 53:3, “He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not.” Jesus hurt as no man ever hurt. Jesus' heavenly Father turned His back on Him while on the cross. Christ's own people (the Jews) had crucified Him. His own city (Jerusalem) hated Him. The Jews compelled the Roman leaders to crucify Him.

Yet when our dear Lord opened His mouth on Mount Calvary, the first statement that He made had nothing to do with His own pain or His own suffering; but rather, He said: "Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do" (Luke 23:34). He did not speak of His own suffering. So many believers are miserable today. I receive thousands of emails each years, countless from depressed people. Kindly said, they are so focused on their own selves, problems and frustrations that they cannot see beyond their sinking ship. What saith the Scriptures? Colossians 3:1-3, “If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God. Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth. For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God.”

Dear reader, I spend my life dwelling in heavenly places. Why do you think I preach hard against Pensacola Christian College (PCC) for bidding Godspeed to Bob Jones University (BJU)? It is because I spend time walking with God, and Jesus is rubbing off on me, making me bold to PREACH THE TRUTH. Acts 4:13, “Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were unlearned and ignorant men, they marvelled; and they took knowledge of them, that they had been with Jesus.” Friend, if you walk with God you will become like God. 

James 4:8-10, “Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded. Be afflicted, and mourn, and weep: let your laughter be turned to mourning, and your joy to heaviness. Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up.” The Bible here tells those who want to draw nigh to God to: Cleanse your hands (get the sin out YE SINNERS), purify your hearts ye double-minded (be honest with yourself and God), be afflicted and mourn and weep (enter into God's burden for the lost and broken because of sin), turn your laugher into mourning and your joy to heaviness of soul for the lost, and to humble yourself in the sight of God. If you want to be close to God, then the Bible says you CAN.

In fact, the passage that we just read promises that God wants to be close to you too, if you will let Him, by sharing His burdens, interests and goals. God desires for ALL MEN to hear the Gospel and hopefully come to Christ to be saved. God doesn't want anyone to perish in their sins to spend eternity in Hell. 2nd Peter 3:9, “The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.”

God knows that I gladly labor night and day on my computer, working on my website ministry which God has entrusted to me, doing the best I know how in Christ's strength, trying to reach as many lost souls with the Gospel as I can. If I knew a better way I'd be doing it! I am exponentially reaching more people electronically online, than I could ever do if I pastored a local church congregation. To God be the glory, great things He has done (and is doing). God knows that my only heart's desire has always been just to be a blessing for Jesus Christ!!!

Psalms 126:6, “He that goeth forth and weepeth, bearing precious seed, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him.” ...

of life; and he that winneth souls is wise.”

Why I Think God Loves Importunity In Prayer

Luke 11:5-10, “And he said unto them, Which of you shall have a friend, and shall go unto him at midnight, and say unto him, Friend, lend me three loaves; For a friend of mine in his journey is come to me, and I have nothing to set before him? And he from within shall answer and say, Trouble me not: the door is now shut, and my children are with me in bed; I cannot rise and give thee. I say unto you, Though he will not rise and give him, because he is his friend, yet because of his importunity he will rise and give him as many as he needeth. And I say unto you, Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you. For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.”

I used to wonder often why Jesus taught men to pray at length sometimes. Our blessed Lord taught us in Matthew 6:7-8, “But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking. Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him.” Son here we are taught by Jesus NOT to pray long needless prayers, because God cares about us as His children and already knows what we have need of.

But then Jesus tells the story of The Friend At Midnight, who came to his neighbour begging for bread on his long journey. Jesus had just taught The Lord's Prayer in Luke 11:1-5, and is now expounded further, teaching the disciples that God loves when we pray at length. We should pray, and keep praying to God, in certain situations. That is very interesting. In Matthew 6:7-8 Jesus teaches His disciples not to pray long prayers; but now in Luke 11:5-10 He is teaching that they should pray long prayers. Did the Lord take leave of Himself? Is this a blatant contradiction, which atheists love to use in an attempt to disprove the Holy Bible? What in the world is going on here friends? I think I have figured it out by God's grace.

But first, I'd like to also make mention of the story of The Unjust Judge in Luke 18:1-8. Jesus tells us that the judge couldn't have cared less about the widow who pleaded to be avenged of the person who wronged her, but the judge ignored her. Yet, she kept bothering him, day after day, until he finally gave her what she wanted, just to get rid of her. The Bible teaches that God is pleased by our persistence, our importunity in prayer. Why is this? Does God enjoy seeing us squirm, beg and agonize in hopes that He might answer our request? Dear friend, our great God is not that kind of God. God is lovingly, fair and reasonable.

So why then did Jesus teach us in Matthew 7:6:7-8 not to spend much time in prayer for our daily personal needs, but then in multiple places in the New Testament He teaches us to persevere in prayer at length? The answer is very simple friend. In fact, I can answer it with just one word... OTHERS! Next to getting saved, the greatest advice I could ever give to you dear reader is to: GET OUT OF THE SELF LIFE!!!

This is exactly what the Scripture means in Philippians 2:4-5, “Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others. Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:” What is the mind of Christ that we should have in us? The Answer is found in Philippians 2:4, “Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others.” God wants us to be concerned about OTHERS!!!

I read a great and helpful quote today in our Sunday morning church bulletin:

As I grow older in the Lord, and get to personally know my down to earth and friendly Savior, the more the Holy Bible makes sense to me, and I understand things. Such is the case with importunity in prayer. God wants us to think about OTHERS. When we are praying at length for OTHERS, we are thinking about them instead of ourselves. I believe this is why Jesus told us to KEEP ON KEEPING ON in our prayers, but then don't spend a lot of time praying for ourselves (because God already knows our needs before we ask). God just wants us to depend upon Him, which is faith. ...

Why Most Religious People Are Not Saved

Matthew 7:21, “Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.” Luke 13:23-24, “Then said one unto him, Lord, are there few that be saved? And he said unto them, Strive to enter in at the strait gate: for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able.”

Jesus said that MANY will seek to enter into Heaven when they die, but shall NOT BE ABLE. Those are startling words. Those are horrifying words, considering that there are an estimated 7,900,000 people alive on planet earth in 2021. Wow! 7.9 BILLION PEOPLE!!! It saddened me to read in the Holy Bible that most of them are going to spend eternity burning in Hell. Jesus warned that “broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it” (Matthew 7:13b-14). Like Superman, Jesus always tells THE TRUTH. Our dear Savior warned that only a FEW people are ever going to find the way to Heaven.

Having laid the foundation for this important blog article, by sharing those mind blowing Scripture passages with you, let me begin by saying that it doesn't surprise me one bit. It doesn't surprise me that most people are going to Hell. I say that because I KNOW assuredly that I am one of the “few” who are going top Heaven when I die. How do I know that? I know because I have obeyed the WILL OF THE FATHER concerning salvation, which we find taught in John 6:40, “And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day.” So we see clearly that the “Father's will” is to BELIEVE ON HIM, that is, to “BELIEVE ON THE LORD JESUS CHRIST” (Acts 16:30-31).

So then why do billions of people go and do something else? ...

I'm talking about cults like Bob Jones University (BJU) in Greenville, South Carolina. According to BJU's own corrupt college website, people must “repent and turn away from their sin” to get to Heaven. I triple-dog dare you to show me that in the Scripture! You simply cannot.

I'm talking about the Roman Catholic church with their Satanic Seven Sacraments, which devout patrons must keep in order to get to Heaven. I have spoken with Catholics, who insist that they are trusting Jesus to get to Heaven, but then they foolishly go get water baptized, confirmed, go to confession and partake of the Holy Eucharist (among other sacraments), thinking that these dead things are all necessary to get to Heaven. Dear friend, Catholics are NOT going to Heaven. Why? Because they have NOT DONE the will of the Father, which is to BELIEVE only on Jesus Christ.

I'm talking about Pastor Marty Herron, the former incompetent pastors of the shameful Harvest Baptist Church on Guam, who preaches that to get to Heaven you must “not only admit you are a sinner, but turn away from a lifestyle of sin.” Folks, that is NOT the will of the Father according to John 6:40. Let's look at this vital passage again. John 6:40, “And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day.”

I'm talking about the Lutheran church, who errantly teach that to be saved you must be water baptized. Martin Luther (1483-1546) was an unsaved infidel, who preached the heresy of Baptismal Regeneration his entire life. Martin Luther was a master of deceit.

I'm talking about Pastor John MacArthur and the popular Lordship Salvation mess today, which has crept into thousands of churches, including once independent fundamental Baptist churches, corrupting them. These churches have moved away from the hope of the Gospel (Colossians 1:23). Dear friend, you cannot get into Heaven “some other way” (John 10:1b), you must do the Father's will, which according to John 6:40 is to simply BELIEVE ON JESUS!!! Oh, how men complicate things! There's not one verse in the inspired King James Bible which says to make Jesus the “LORD” (Master) of your life to be saved. As a matter of fact, the false prophets whom Jesus denied knowing in Matthew 7:21-23 called Him “Lord, Lord.” Could the Bible be any clearer that following Christ as one's “Lord” is not the way of salvation? I think not. Judas was one of Jesus' very apostles, yet Jesus said in John 6:70 that Judas had a devil in him. Religion is the world thing that ever happened!

I'm talking about the churches who preach a Misunderstood Salvation. We covered this early concerning the Bob Jones University camp, but I want to address this heresy further, since it is plaguing the churches today. Baptist churches all across the nation and world, have succumbed to the Devil's lie that to get to Heaven you MUST forsake a lifestyle of sinning, and have a sincere desire to turn away from your sin, or else God will not save you. Folks, you simply CANNOT show me that junk theology in the King James Bible (the only Bible which Satan hasn't corrupted in these modern perilous times). In the Gospel of John we find the word “believe” mentioned 88 times, but the word “repent” isn't mentioned even once. That speaks volumes! It simply means that repentance is automatic. The man who BELIEVES has repented, and the man who REPENTS has believed. Remember, repentance concerning salvation is simply “a change of mind” (Greek noun: metanoia) unto the Gospel itself, nothing more.

I'm talking about the demonic Churches of Christ, Mormons, Seventh-Day Adventists and Jehovah's Witnesses, who ALL require water baptism to get to Heaven. Dear reader, no one in the Old Testament was ever baptized in water to get to Heaven. The reptant thief on the cross was never water baptized. I once worked with a Church of Christ minister, who was unpleasant to be around. One day we had a conversation about his beliefs. His name was Bernie. Bernie believed that to get to Heaven you MUST be water baptized, repent of all your sins, and publicly confess Christ. NONE of those things are Biblical for salvation. 

Bernie's excuse concerning the repentant thief on the cross was that God made an exception for him, since he didn't have the opportunity to get baptized. Do you really think that God makes “exceptions” regarding His will to get to Heaven? You're a fool if you do! God does not make EXCEPTIONS for anybody!!! You either BELIEVE ON THE LORD JESUS CHRIST and Him alone, apart from all else, or else you don't go! Was the repentant thief on the cross saved? Yes, absolutely! How did he get saved? He simply BELIEVED on the Savior, asking Him to “remember him” when He arrived in His Kingdom. It was the man's faith alone that saved him. He didn't get water baptized because you DON'T need to be water baptized to go to Heaven. The Church of Christ is a Satanic cult!!!

Neither do you need to repent and turn away from your sins to be saved. How ridiculous for anyone to think that we could even achieve such a thing! NO ONE is able to turn away from their sins, as long as we are still in the flesh. What thy mean is that you must try really hard to stop sinning, and unless you have that kind of attitude, you cannot go to Heaven. Dear reader, I hope you realize that these are false concepts spawned by the Devil, and are not sound Scripture. No where does the Holy Bible require us to “repent of your sins” to be saved. That phrase is not even found in the Bible!!! Nor is the phrase “turn from sin” found in God's inspired Word. Turning away from sin to be saved is a manmade teaching, not from God.

Neither does the Bible require “confessing” Jesus publicly to get to Heaven. In John 12:42-43 we plainly read that many of the chief rulers BELIEVE ON HIM, yet the Bible says THEY DID NOT CONFESS HIM, because they were afraid of persecution from the ungodly Pharisees. The Bible says “they loved the praise of men more than the praise of God” (John 12:43). Yet, they BELIEVED and were saved eternally by their faith.

I'm talking about the perverse Social Gospel of Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton and Martin Luther King Jr. These are unsaved Baptist ministers, who bully their way around in society, appearing at courts trials for African Americans, and weighing in politically every time an issue concerning blacks arises. But they do NOT preach the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ. Their so-called gospel is one of equality for all men, and social justice. Certainly, their work is noble and I think needful to an extent, but dear friend, apart from the GOOD NEWS (Gospel) of the Lord Jesus Christ men cannot change for the better. THE GOSPEL MAKES THE DIFFERENCE!!!

I dare you to try to find out on Google what Jesse Jackson believes about theology. Good luck trying to find his Christian testimony. Good luck trying to find out what he believes about Jesus' deity, virgin birth and bodily resurrection. I remember years ago that a man sent in the paperwork and a payment for $10 to have his dog ordained as a Baptist minister. He succeeded!!! So considering that you can literally have your dog ordained for a small fee, it means NOTHING that Jesse Jackson, martin Luther King Jr., are ordained ministers!

The issue is not about “race,” which men like King, Sharpton and Jackson use to BULLY their way around in society. Malcom X was infamous for the statement: “MAKE SOME NOISE!” Malcom taught blacks that anytime they didn't get their way to make a bunch of ruckus and noise, to force their hand upon lawmakers and politicians (and it sadly works). Jesse Jackson's 'Operation Push' should be renamed to 'Operation Shove' (because that is what they always do, shove their way around society to get their way).

I am 100% convinced that Jesse Jackson, just like the infidel Martin Luther King Jr., is NOT a born-again Christian. If they are good luck finding it online. There is something VERY WRONG with a professed Baptist preacher who never shares his testimony of how he became a child of God. Think about that! There is something wrong with a so-called “Baptist minister” like Jesse Jackson who never preaches the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ!!! It is my humble opinion that all these men are spiritual frauds, the unrighteous ministers of Satan (2nd Corinthians 11:13-15). I dare you to prove me wrong! Al Sharpton used to be a Pentecostal preacher, but then converted to Baptist years later. But again, where is Sharpton's Christian testimony for the world to see? All I see is there political rhetoric!

I'm talking about Moody Bible Institute, which has changed for the worst toward Calvinism in recent decades, since they began publishing all of Pastor John MacArthur's heretical books on Lordship Salvation. Folks, Lordship Salvation is a lie of the Devil. You simply receive Jesus as your personal Savior to get to Heaven, by BELIEVING in His death on the cross, burial and bodily resurrection from the dead three days later (1st Corinthians 15:1-4). This is 'THE GOSPEL' (the GOOD NEWS) by which we are saved, IF WE BELIEVE (Romans 1:16).

Nearly all religious people in society today are not truly born-again. Satan's greatest weapon is to con people into living the Christian life without ever being born-again.

Dear reader, I don't write my blog articles to be unkind or attack people, God forbid. I wrote them because I love everybody with God's unconditional love. The heathen world talks about “love” a lot, but is it really love? Is it truly love when you know someone is going to Hell, and you refuse to share the Good News of Jesus Christ crucified, buried and risen with them, so that they could go to Heaven, if they believe? That is not love, unless you care enough about them to TELL THEM THE TRUTH. I am your friend, because I AM telling you THE TRUTH. John 14:6, “Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” Jesus Christ is the ONLY way to Heaven!

I think where many people go wrong is that they do believe in Jesus, but they also ADD something else to their faith, which is no faith at all. Let's say, as an illustration, that I grab an old chair to stand upon, to change a defective lightbulb on the ceiling. But while standing upon the chair I also ask a friend to hold onto me, JUST IN CASE the chair breaks. Am I really trusting the chair? Well, yes and no. I am definitely placing partial faith in the chair, but I am also placing my partial trust in the friend who is holding onto me.

The inspired Holy Bible teaches that unless you trust Jesus Christ 100%, you will not go to Heaven. That is why most religious people who erroneously profess to trust in Jesus, won't go to Heaven. Jesus said, “YE MUST BE BORN AGAIN” (John 3:7). You get born-again by BELIEVING ON HIM, period. John 6:47, “Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me hath everlasting life.” The Bible is so clear and simple. Getting saved is so easy, free and uncomplicated. Men make things complicated.

One of the most dangerous false teachers of our generation is Pastor John MacArthur of the Grace Community Church in California. Dr. MacArthur errantly states concerning getting saved:

“The narrow gate is hard to find and hard to go through, because it demands: denial of self, denial of self-righteousness, recognition of sin, full repentance, submission to Christ, commitment to obey Him, and follow Him no matter what the cost!” —Pastor John MacArthur, a quote from his sermon titled, “Saved Or Self-Deceived, Part One” (time: 4:25 in YouTube sermon video)

In sharp contrast, Jesus simply said in John 6:47, “Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me hath everlasting life.” Who are you going to believe—John MacArthur's insanely difficult plan of salvation, or simple faith in Jesus?

It is very obvious to me as a redeemed child of God why most people are traveling the Devil's highway to Hell. It is because people want to get to Heaven THEIR OWN WAY, instead of God's way which is through faith alone in the GOOD NEWS of Jesus Christ alone. We are saved by believing the Gospel (Mark 1:15). We are saved by ceasing from our own human efforts (works) and RESTING in Jesus Christ alone (Hebrews 4:10-11). If your faith (reliance) is in Christ alone dear friend (and nothing else), because of what He did to pay for your sins on Calvary's cross, then you are saved.

Ungodly Carnal Christian's Attitude Toward False Prophets

Ephesians 5:11, “And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.” Titus 1:13-14, “This witness is true. Wherefore rebuke them sharply, that they may be sound in the faith; Not giving heed to Jewish fables, and commandments of men, that turn from the truth.” 2nd John 1:10-11, “If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed: For he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds.”

The inspired Word of God is very clear that Christian believers ought not hobnob with false prophets. Rather, we are commanded to REBUKE THEM SHARPLY! We are taught not to entertain and coddle them, as we would a deadly poisonous snake; but rather, to mark and avoid them. Romans 16:17-18, “Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them. For they that are such serve not our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly; and by good words and fair speeches deceive the hearts of the simple.”

Sadly, and sinfully, Pastor Paul Chappell of the Lancaster Baptist Church in Lancaster, California is disobeying the Holy Bible! Pastor Chappell has openly bid Godspeed to Pastor John MacArthur, posing in photos with him and praising him as a friend. This is wickedness! Tens of thousands of people are watching (both saved and unsaved), seeing Paul Chappell coddle and treat this deadly viper as a pet poodle. If as a pastor you are not guarding the flock against the heresies of Calvinism and Lordship Salvation, and exposing dangerous Calvinist false preachers who propagate such lies, you have NO RIGHT standing behind the pulpit and preaching every Sunday morning! Pastor Paul Chappell is no fundamentalist!

I have faithfully spent the last 19 years of my website ministry exposing this deadly viper; namely, John MacArthur and other Calvinist preachers like him (R.C. Sproul, John Piper, Paul Washer, Ray Comfort, Steve Pettit, Marty Herron, Gary Walton and other unsaved infidels). Dr. John MacArthur preaches another gospel, teaching that salvation is an exchange of all that you are for all that Christ is. Folks, that is not a gift! The Bible teaches that forgiveness of sin and eternal life are a free gift from God (Romans 6:23; Ephesian 2:8-9). If we must exchange our sins, life and will in order to receive God's offer of eternal life, then it simply CANNOT be a gift. By very definition a “gift” is something received without compensation.

I was disgusted and even righteously angered when I read the following comment from one of Pastor Chappell's church members, who defends his incompetence:

“Come on people! They were just praying together about taking a stand for having church services! Perhaps we could all learn from their example, instead of having a critical spirit and throwing stones! Goodness!” SOURCE

The preceding comment was made in response to criticism by concerned saints about Pastor Chappell's downward slide into apostasy, bidding Godspeed to a dangerous false prophet like Mr. MacArthur. Lordship Salvation Is An Enemy Of Soulwinning (an awesome writing by Pastor Jack Hyles), because it hinders people from being saved. Pastor MacArthur is considered by many people to be the godfather of the false “Lordship” gospel.

Paul Chappell's church members would like to dismiss the issue as being a trifle matter, but it is a big deal to God. The issue goes far beyond merely standing together to keep the churches open during this COVID-19 crisis. Here's another Twitter post where Pastor Chappell is bidding Godspeed to John MacArthur at a ballgame. Birds of a feather flock together! What Pastor Chappell is doing is very ungodly, giving credence to MacArthur's heretical ministry that damns tens of thousands of souls to the Lake of Fire. Psalms 119:104, “Through thy precepts I get understanding: therefore I hate every false way.”

The Bible teaches in Psalms 97:10, “Ye that love the LORD, hate evil: he preserveth the souls of his saints; he delivereth them out of the hand of the wicked.” I triple dog dare you to show me where Pastor Paul Chappell preaches publicly against John MacArthur! You never expose the devil you're sleeping with. I have nothing personal against Mr. Chappell, but what he is doing by promoting John MacArthur confuses people.

Humbly said, while faithful preachers like myself, Dr. Bob Gray Sr. and Pastor Jack Hyles (1926-2001) “REBUKE THEM SHARPLY” (Titus 1:13-14) WHO PREACH THE HERESY OF LORDSHIP SALVATION, Paul Chappell is inviting them to ballgames and prayer meetings. The Holy Bible says to HAVE NO FELLOWSHIP with the works of darkness. Ephesians 5:11, “And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.”

Dr. Jack Hyles taught me an important truth from 2nd Corinthians 6:17-18, “Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you, And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.” The Bible doesn't say to stick around and attempt to change that which has been corrupted; but rather, to COME OUT FROM AMONG THEM AND BE YE SEPERATE. Paul Chappell is not going to lead John MacArthur to repent of his false teaching, but Paul Chappell will be corrupted by John MacArthur. This is why the ecumenical movement is so dangerous! One healthy person plus one sick person equals two sick people!!! Kindly said, Paul Chappell needs to COME OUT FROM AMONG THEM!!!

As you can see from the preceding church member's quote, Paul Chappell has put his church congregation into an awkward situation, where they are being forced to choose sides! That ought not be from their pastor. Pastor Chappell has forced his church members to either turn against him, or defend his unbiblical friendship with false prophet John MacArthur. I hope you see the horrible damage that Paul Chappell is doing! Effectively, Pastor Chappell has endorsed John MacArthur's damnable heresy!!! You sure won't hear the members of the Lancaster Baptist Church exposing Pastor MacArthur when their pastor has gone soft on him.

This is all so sad. Where are the 7,000 who have not bowed their knee to Baal? Where are the faithful preaching preachers today, who spare not and cry aloud against the sins of the people and clergy? I am tired of hearing naïve pacifist believers, who are against hard preaching against sin. They are oh so wrong! Every Bible preacher should possess and preach with a balance of God's genuine unconditional love for all sinners, and an equal hatred of all sin. We must never accept the sin with the sinner, nor reject the sinner with the sin!

SHAME on Pastor Paul Chappell. The Lancaster Baptist Church has done much good. Pastor Chappell has authored many excellent books to help the saints. I admire the man, truly. But if the shoe fits, wear it! I cannot support a pastor when he is buddy-buddying with one of the most deadly false teachers of our generation. Would you play with a Black Widow Spider? Would you play with a Copperhead Snake? Would you drink Arsenic?

By the way, rat poison is comprised of 99% cornmeal and only 1% arsenic. These modern Devil's Bibles are mostly good, but Satan knows that the tiny amount of corrupted content (all dealing with the deity of Jesus and the plan of salvation) will KILL the reader. It may seem like a small matter to you that Bob Jones University, Pensacola Christian College and Paul Chappell are all soft on false prophets, but to do so invites Satan right into our homes. 

Calvinism has crept into most Bible colleges and churches in recent years, but virtually nobody is sounding the alarm bells. I am crying, “WOLF!,” but hardly anybody is listening. Folks, we are under malicious attack by a false gospel. Satan is so shrewd. The Devil is more cunning than you or I can realize. Our indifference and complacency toward false teachers give Satan a strong advantage over us!

That is why Jesus warned in Luke 16:13, “No servant can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.” Although no pastor would ever admit to serving money as his master, the evidences says otherwise. Paul Chappell is getting paid over $100,000 per year, as is John MacArthur. In fact, MacArthur's net worth is an astounding $14,000,000. Paul Chappell's net worth is at the lowest, $700,000 and climbing. Some estimates place Chappell's net worth at $5,000,000. These men are making tons of money!

In sharp contrast, by God's goodness I have never made a single penny for serving God. I do what I do for Jesus Christ. John MacArthur is a very dangerous false teacher! SHAME on any believer, whether pastor or layman, who praises or bids Godspeed to a false prophet!

Bible Proof Calvinism And Lordship Salvation Are A Lie

2nd Peter 1:1-9, “Simon Peter, a servant and an apostle of Jesus Christ, to them that have obtained like precious faith with us through the righteousness of God and our Saviour Jesus Christ: Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord, According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue: Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust. And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge; And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness; And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity. For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. But he that lacketh these things is blind, and cannot see afar off, and hath forgotten that he was purged from his old sins.”

The very fact that someone can LACK THESE THINGS (“BUT HE THAT LACKETH THESE THINGS” in verse 9) irrefutably PROVES from the Bible that Calvinism, Misunderstood Repentance and Lordship Salvation are a lie of the Devil. What are these heresies? Let me give you a basic idea of what they are:

• Calvinism - The heretical teachings of a man named John Calvin (1509-1564). Calvin was an unsaved religious man who believed and taught that God chooses who will or won't be saved. Once heresy usually begets another. Since Calvin believed that God chooses who will be saved (aka, the heresy of 'Unconditional Election'), this necessitated the further lie that Christ only died for those chosen (elect) saints (aka, the heresy of 'Limited Atonement'). And another heresy was also necessitated, which says that God forces those He chooses to get saved. This heresy is called 'Irresistible Grace.' Calvin taught that those whom God chooses WILL persevere to live a life of holiness and dedication to God, as “proof” that their faith is genuine. Sadly, Moody Bible Institute, Bob Jones University and Faith Baptist Bible College And Theological Seminary have sinfully turned Calvinist in recent decades, damning men's souls to Hell forever.
• Lordship Salvation - My soulwinning friend, Pastor Ralph “Yankee” Arnold, defines Lordship Salvation as: “Lordship is the unsupportable and unbiblical belief, that the performance of good works, the promise of good works, or the evidence of good works, must accompany faith in Christ in order to establish or provide evidence that such faith has resulted in eternal life.” (a quote from 'JESUS vs. John MacArthur'). The Devil's lie of Lordship Salvation teaches that faith is insufficient to save a person, claiming that you must also receive Christ as the absolute “Lord” (Master) of your life, and be willing to follow and obey Him no matter what the cost, or else you cannot go to Heaven. Pastor Marty Herron is caught between grace and works, an avid fan of Dr. MacArthur. I heard Pastor Herron with my own two ears tell hundreds of people at church: “It is not enough to admit you are a sinner, to go to Heaven you must also turn away from a lifestyle of sin.” Mr. Herron is oh so WRONG! Pastor Jack Hyles (1926-2001) faithfully exposes this deadly heresy!
• Misunderstood Repentance - This lie is often coupled with Calvinism and Lordship Salvation, but not always. I have heard preachers expose the former, but defend and preach the latter. Misunderstood Repentance is the Devil's lie that the Greek Bible word for “repent” (metanoia) means more than simply: “a change of mind.” Many pastors, Bible professors and evangelists today are falsely teaching that repentance means: “a change of mind which leads to a change of behavior.” I heard Pastor Tim Zacharias teach this heresy myself at Campus Church (on Pensacola Christian College's campus grounds). In fact, the preceding quote is an exact quote from Dr. Zacharias, in July of 2021 at a Wednesday night Bible study. Kindly said, Pastor Zacharias is WRONG! My favorite preacher, Pastor Jack Hyles exposes this heresy.

These three distinct but separate false teachings are often related, making it somewhat difficult for most believers to discern the lines of separation between them. The bottom line is this—The true Gospel always points you to CHRIST; a false gospel always points to YOU.

Any corrupt preacher—who tells you that YOU must turn away from your sins (e.g., John MacArthur and Marty Herron), YOU must follow Christ (e.g., Adrian Rogers and John Piper), YOU must faithfully run the race until the end (e.g., Steve Pettit), YOU must count the cost and pay the price (e.g., Billy Graham), YOU must live a lifestyle of repentance (e.g., Ray Comfort and Unshackled), YOU—is preaching a ANOTHER GOSPEL accursed by God (Galatians 1:6-9).

What saith the Scripture? Acts 16:30-31, “And brought them out, and said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved? And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.” The Holy Bible simply teaches us to BELIEVE to be saved, not to repent of our sins or live a certain type of lifestyle. Folks, the Devil is cunning, more subtle and dangerous than anyone can imagine. The Devil has crept into most Baptist churches today, corrupting them with the lies of Calvinism, Lordship Salvation and/or Misunderstood Repentance. These false doctrines have condemned millions of unsuspecting people to Hell.

In Matthew 7:21-23 we find such an unfortunate group:

Matthew 7:21-23, “Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.”

They failed to do THE WILL OF THE FEATHER in Heaven. What is God's will? The dear Savior Himself told us plainly what “THE WILL OF THE FATHER” is:

John 6:40, “And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day.”

The will of God the Father is TO BELIEVE ON JESUS!!!

The Bible doesn't say that the Father's will to be saved is for YOU to forsake a lifestyle of sin. It sounds so religious, right and good, to tell sinners to clean up their act, turn away from their sinful ways, count the cost and pay the price, or at a bear minimum tell then that they at least must “BE WILLING TO TURN FROM SIN” (every 'CHICK TRACT' teaches this ungodly heresy). But dear reader, these are DAMNABLE HERESIES!!! Proverbs 14:12, “There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.”

The Satanic lies of Calvinism, Misunderstood Repentance and Lordship Salvation WILL lead you into the fires of torments of the Lake of Fire for ever and ever. Please don't follow Satan's unrighteous ministers (2nd Corinthians 11:13-15). Oh, they may be the most righteous men you know outwardly. No doubt these are all good men (as far as good sinful men go). But they are still walking in darkness inwardly—trusting in their own separation from sin, commitment to Christ, lifestyle and human effort to live the Christian life. Remember, Satan's greatest weapon is to con people into living the Christian life without ever being born-again.

When you introduce Satan's false Bibles and the aforementioned three damnable heresies into any Bible college or church, the number of TARES (unsaved people) goes way up, and the number of WHEAT (saved people) significantly decreases over time. A corrupt Bible can only produce corrupt fruit! A corrupt gospel can only produce false converts! Kindly said, I am sick and tired of hearing fools like Pastor Charles Lawson (a staunch Calvinist in Knoxville, Tennessee) tell people that they are not saved, if they still have pet sins in their life. Pastor Lawson errantly teaches that your faith is not valid if you are still living in willful sin, because he says you've never really “repented.” That is hogwash folks!!!

The reason why so many professed Christians are still living in sin today is because preachers no longer preach against sin. Look at our American culture today? Where are the preaching preachers who cry aloud and spare not against the sins of the people? When's the last time you heard a preacher get behind a pulpit and really rip against the wicked sins of abortion, homosexuality and greed? Good luck finding one! Pastor Steven L. Anderson (whom I love and support) is one such preacher (despite his doctrinal flaws), for which he has been banned now in 40 countries!!! I say: Amen and amen!

We need tough Bible preachers who are not afraid to TELL THE TRUTH! God deliver us from useless social preachers like Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton, who only preach a Social Gospel of equality for all men. The same is true of Martin Luther King Jr., who openly denied Jesus' deity, His virgin birth and bodily resurrection. That clearly shows that Martin Luther King Jr. was NOT saved. No man is saved who denies Christ's virgin birth, deity and bodily resurrection from the dead!!! NO WAY! 

We need to hear the truth that all men are created equal by God, but what about THE GOSPEL OF JESUS CHRIST? I've never heard either of these high profile men tell anybody how to get to Heaven!!! They show up at court cases involving blacks, weigh in on Black Lives Matter, politics and other agendas that interest THEM, but what about being ambassadors for God to the unsaved world (2nd Corinthians 5:20-21)? Dear reader, please RUN away from any perversion of God's grace, which places the emphasis on YOU instead of upon the precious BLOOD OF JESUS which saves us (1st Peter 1:18-19).

Let us examine once again a portion of our text passage, which provides PROOF that you don't need to forsake personal sins, leave the world, commit to clean up your life, do better, count the cost and pray the price, run the race, live a lifestyle of repentance, or any other unbiblical nonsense to get to Heaven:

2nd Peter 1:8-9, “For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. But he that lacketh these things is blind, and cannot see afar off, and hath forgotten that he was purged from his old sins.”

The Bible says that carnal believers have FORGOTTEN what Christ did for them on the cross, it doesn't say that they were never saved or that they lost God's gift of eternal life. ONCE SAVED, ALWAYS SAVED (OSAS)!!! I meet so many religious people who deny OSAS, which proves that they are not saved, and never were! The fact that a believer who CHOOSES to live a lifestyle of sin, can “forget” what Jesus did for them, irrefutably PROVES that a child of God CAN live like the Devil and still have the blessed 100% confidence, assurance and peace that they have eternal life. This is the beauty of God's gift of salvation—it has nothing to do with us, except that we BELIEVE on His only begotten Son (John 20:31).

The mindset of a genuinely born-again child of God is that CHRIST PAID IT ALL!!! I have no part in my own salvation, except to get out of the way by ceasing from my own labors (works), and REST completely in the finished redemptive work of my blessed Savior (Hebrews 4:10-11). Jesus DIED, was BURIED and three days later He RESURRECTED from the dead. This is the GOOD NEWS, that is, THE GOSPEL, by which we are saved if we simply BELIEVE IT with childlike faith (1st Corinthians 15:1-4; Romans 1:16).

Calvinism Falsely Says: 'SOME LIVES MATTER'

John 3:16, “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” 1st Timothy 2:4, “Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.” 1st Timothy 4:10, “For therefore we both labour and suffer reproach, because we trust in the living God, who is the Saviour of all men, specially of those that believe.” 1st John 2:2, “And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.”

From examining our four text passages of Scriptures, it couldn't be more clear Biblically that Christ died FOR ALL MEN. Jesus is not only the PROPITIATION (the appeasement of God's wrath through the cross) of our sins, but also for the sins of THE WHOLE WORLD.

It astounds me how heretical Calvinists willfully ignore such blatant passages of Scripture, still insistent that Christ only died for the saints. This popular heresy of Calvinism is called: “Limited Atonement.” It is a false doctrine, which is NOT taught anywhere in the inspired Word of God. CHRIST DIED FOR ALL MEN!!! 2nd Corinthians 5:14, “For the love of Christ constraineth us; because we thus judge, that if one died for all, then were all dead:”

The Bible is packed full with Scripture proving that God desires for ALL MEN to be saved. 2nd Peter 3:9, “The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.” God desires for ALL MEN to be saved (i.e., to repent, to change their mind from unbelief to belief).

Calvinism falsely says that “SOME LIVES MATTER,” but God says in His Word that “ALL LIVES MATTER.” We have heard much on social media about, “BLACK LIVES MATTER,” but dear friend, 'ALL LIVES MATTER.' ABORTED LIVES MATTER!!! We are such hypocrites as Americans!!! If Planned Parenthood were killing puppies, society would have forced them out of business decades ago, but human lives don't matter, right? GET RIGHT WITH GOD AMERICA!!!

The horrible doctrines of John Calvin (1509-1564) dehumanize people, as does the Satanic abortion industry, claiming that Christ didn't die for them (aka,  the heresy of Limited Atonement). Calvinists foolishly teach that God CHOOSES who will or won't be saved, and that Christ only died on the cross for the elect. THE TRUTH is very different! The truth is that we didn't choose to get saved because God chose us; but rather, God chose us (the elect) because WE FIRST CHOSE JESUS CHRIST AS OUR SAVIOR!!! God NEVER chooses who will or won't be saved. To say otherwise is to teach that only 'SOME LIVES MATTER' to God. Why wouldn't God want ALL MAN (i.e., all humanity) to be saved? Well, the inspired Holy Bible says that GOD DOES want ALL MEN to be saved (2nd Peter 3:9). 

Please dear reader, RUN away from Calvinism in all its forms and tenets. The Devil is a Calvinist!!! Pastor Max D. Younce has authored a wonderful helpful book on this subject titled: 'Not Chosen To Salvation' (I hope you will download and read this free .pdf book). God never, not once throughout history, nor will He ever, CHOOSE anyone to go to Heaven over someone else. God is not respecter of persons (Romans 2:11). If Calvinism were true, that Jesus only died for certain people, then God would absolutely be guilty of being a respecter of persons. But what saith the Scripture? Acts 10:34, “Then Peter opened his mouth, and said, Of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons:” God loves everybody equally, demonstrated by Christ's sacrifice on the cross for ALL MEN.

This truth is made very clear in Romans 5:6-9, “For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die. But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.” The infamous 'Golden State Killer' in California (a former career police officer) was finally apprehended after evaded police identification and capture for 40 years!

That wicked man savagely raped 50 women, tortured their husbands, brutally murdered 12 of his victims and burglarized over 100 homes!!! Dear reader, Romans 5:8 says that CHRIST DIED FOR HIM!!! Would you lay down your life for that evil person? I sure wouldn't! Well, Jesus did. In fact, the Bible says that Jesus was even willing to die for a sinful scumbag like YOU and ME! So how in the world can Calvinists claim that Christ selectively chose and only died for certain sinners, but not all sinners? They cannot support such nonsense with the inspired Word of God. By the way, Pastor Charles H. Spurgeon (1834-1892) fell for this ungodly heresy of 'Limited Atonement' too! Yes, sadly, Spurgeon taught that Jesus only died for select sinners (saints), but not for all sinners. That is so tragic and heartbreaking!!!

Chapter 12 The Plan Of Salvation According To Franklin Graham

...At this time, I would like to draw your attention to the plan of salvation according to Franklin Graham. If you will visit his Franklin Graham Festivals Website and click upon the “Peace With God” link, you will be taken straight to the salvation statement issued by Billy Graham at the BGEA Website. Franklin uses his father’s plan of salvation rather than issuing a statement of his own. Essentially, Franklin is just a younger version of Billy, only Franklin does not deliver his sermons in the same forceful manner in which his father did when he was Franklin’s age. Franklin delivers a much kinder, more inclusive call for people to come forward and surrender their lives over to the Lordship of Christ. Because Franklin uses the exact same plan of salvation as his father, I will take you to the plan of salvation given by Billy Graham at his BGEA Website. Now, because of potential copyright issues, I will paraphrase for you what salvation is according to the Grahams’. 

First of all, we are told that God loves us and wants to give us an abundant life. 

Second, we are told that we are sinners. 

Third, we are told that Jesus died for us and that He is the only way to heaven. 

Fourth, we are told to turn from our sins and to receive Christ as both the Lord of our lives and as our savior, which, according to the Grahams’ means that we are to trust that Christ paid for our sins by His death on the cross and that we are to follow the Lordship of Christ over our lives in strict obedience (for the rest of our lives) “in order to” get to heaven. In virtually every sermon you hear given by Franklin Graham, he makes surrender of one’s life to Christ sound more appealing to us than a hot-fudge sundae could ever appeal to a child. 

What Franklin says about giving our lives to Christ is truly beautiful. At the end of his messages, I would follow him in prayer, trusting Jesus Christ and then giving Him rule over my life by determining to follow Him in obedience for the rest of my life so that I, too, could go to heaven when I die. When I thought I was saved as a result of trusting Christ the way both Billy and Franklin told me to do, from the years 2002 through 2005, I decided to make my decision “public” the way they said we all have to do in order to go to heaven. I literally became “high” on Jesus. I was so “on fire for Jesus” that I became a pamphleteer in order to get the “plan of salvation” out to everybody.

...For three whole years I had been going about trying to establish my own righteousness before God through my own efforts, when in actuality Christ had, by His own righteousness, paid for all of my sins by His death, burial and resurrection from the dead 2,000 years earlier. 

When I learned the bible said I could have the free gift of everlasting life by believing solely upon what Christ had done for me by His death and subsequent resurrection from the dead, I believed His message immediately, hungrily, and to the exclusion of all the other counterfeit plans of salvation that I had been led to believe by today’s biggest hitters in Christianity. I was finally “free.” I was finally born again, and I knew it beyond any doubts at all. God put an end to my pamphleteering of false gospels. 

Now, I preach His plan of salvation via my personal Internet page, by face-to-face discussions with people, by tract, by CD, by DVD, as well as through the use of email. Today, I am now proclaiming Christ’s free gift via this book you are holding in your hands now which shall eventually go all around the world. The plan of salvation according to Franklin Graham is different from the plan of salvation according to Jesus Christ. 

...Christ is telling us that many will claim to be Christians, that they will agree that Jesus is “the Messiah,” that He is deity, but that they would deceive everyone with a faith plus works message that cannot save anyone at all.

...These are persons who were trusting in their works alone, or in partial faith in Christ plus their good works, to get them into heaven. Look at the various areas of service in which they brag. They acknowledge Him as “Lord” and then they brag about preaching in His name, about healing in His name, and about the myriad of inexhaustible works of goodness they have done in His name; yet, because they did not trust in Him alone, the way He so clearly tells us to in His bible, He tells them to depart from Him because He sees their good works in His name as “sin.” As if that were not bad enough, this is the fate of everyone who appears at the Great White Throne Judgement, where they stand not in Christ’s righteousness, but in the filthy rags of their own inadequate righteousness. This is their fate:

“And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them. And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire” (Revelation 20:11-15).

Reader, this chapter presents to you two plans of salvation: 1) the plan of salvation according to Franklin Graham, and 2) the plan of salvation according to Jesus Christ. Of these two plans, which one will you choose?

Yes, amen! I thank God for Michael Bowen's excellent book, which exposes the damnable false gospel of the Billy Graham and company. In the year 2013, Billy Graham authored his 32nd book titled, "The Reason For My Hope: Salvation," in which he makes this ungodly heretical statement:

A ‘simple’ gospel
“I am afraid that many Christians, in their zeal to share their faith in Christ, have made the Gospel message of making disciples for Him too simple. Just to say ‘believe in Christ’ can produce a false assurance of the hope of Heaven. Jesus spoke often about the gift of eternal life. To make it clear, He said, ‘Count the cost.’”

‘Earning’ salvation

“Giving up something to follow Christ is not earning salvation; it is giving up what keeps you from salvation. When we hold on to something that is dearer to us than receiving the greater gift of salvation in Christ, we lose.” SOURCE

WRONG! WRONG!! WRONG!!!

First of all, not one verse in the inspired King James Bible teaches that we get to Heaven by “following” Christ. In fact, we read about a cursed group of people in Matthew 7:21-23 who Christ denied knowing, who devoutly followed Christ. They boasted of their “many wonderful works” in Jesus' name. They boasted of prophesying (preaching) in Jesus' name. They boasted of casting out devils in Jesus' name. They even called Him “Lord, Lord.” Yet, the blessed Savior denied ever knowing them, and they went to Hell forever.

Secondly, no where in the inspired King James Bible are we taught to count the cost to be saved. Billy and Franklin Graham are false prophets! When Christ spoke of “counting the cost” in Luke 14:28, He was speaking of discipleship (sanctification), not sonship (justification). Pastor M.R. DeHaan said it 100% correct:

"There is a vast difference between coming to Jesus for salvation and coming after Jesus for service. Coming to Christ makes one a believer, while coming after Christ makes one a disciple. All believers are not disciples. To become a believer one accepts the invitation of the Gospel, to be a disciple one obeys the challenge to a life of dedicated service and separation. Salvation comes through the sacrifice of Christ; discipleship comes only by sacrifice of self and surrender to His call for devoted service. Salvation is free, but discipleship involves paying the price of a separated walk. Salvation can't be lost because it depends upon God's faithfulness, but discipleship can be lost because it depends upon our faithfulness." —Pastor M.R. DeHaan, Hebrews; Zondervan Publishing House, 1959 (p. 117).

Dear reader, you'll never read a better explanation of discipleship verses salvation, as what you just read by Dr. Martin R. DeHaan (1891-1965). But here is another awesome quote, this time from Pilgrim's Progress author, John Bunyan (1628-1688):

“If you do not put a difference between justification wrought by the man Christ without and sanctification wrought by the Spirit of Christ within, you are not able to divide the Word aright; but contrariwise, you corrupt the Word of God, and cast stumbling blocks before the people.” —Evangelist John Bunyan

Dear friend, Billy Graham and Franklin Graham are theological liars, who corrupt the Word of God and cast stumbling blocks before the people!

I just learned yesterday that Bob Jones University (BJU) is sinfully yoking together with Franklin Graham's ecumenical ministry. This doesn't come as a surprise to those of us who have been observing the downward plummet of BJU in recent decades, from the admirable fundamentalist institution it once was when Dr. Bob Gray Sr. (1883-1968) was still alive, to the cesspool of iniquity and Calvinism that it has become today in 2021. Dr. Steve Petit is an unsaved false teacher, and the new president of BJU since 2014. Birds of a feather flock together! These false teachers are partners in spiritual crime, perverting the Gospel of free grace, by adding the works of the law to faith.

Dear reader, the ONLY thing that hinders a man from coming to the light of THE TRUTH of the Gospel to be saved is UNBELIEF. Billy Graham and his son errantly teach that you must do all of the following to get to Heaven (as quoted from their ministry website):

Will you receive Jesus Christ right now? Here is how you can receive Christ: 

1. Admit your need (I am a sinner).
2. Be willing to turn from your sins (repent).
3. Believe that Jesus Christ died for you on the Cross and rose from the grave.
4. Through prayer, invite Jesus Christ to come in and control your life through the Holy Spirit. (Receive Him as Lord and Savior.) If you would like to pray right now and receive Jesus Christ, see Step 5 below.

STEP 5 – PRAYER

Pray to receive Jesus Christ as your Savior

First, no where does the inspired King James Bible teach that a person must be willing to turn from your sin to be saved. Christ came to die for our sins. A child of God SHOULD live a godly life, but this is a matter of sanctification (James 2:18-21), not justification (Romans 4:4-7). Forgiveness of sin and eternal life are a free gift from God, received by faith alone (Romans 6:23; Galatians 3:26).

Second, nor is that what the Bible word for “repent” means! The word "repent" in the Bible regarding salvation is ALWAYS either the noun form metanoia (a change of mind), or the verb form metanoeo (to think differently). The man who BELIEVES on the Lord Jesus Christ has changed his mind. That is, he has repented. That is why the Gospel of John never mentions the word "repent," but we find the word "BELIEVE" mentioned 88 times!

Third, the Bible does NOT require praying to be saved, another heresy of Billy and Franklin Graham. That makes THREE heresies so far in the preceding false plan of salvation! Not once in the Gospel of John is the reader told to “pray” to have eternal life. It is okay to pray in response to one's faith, but NO ONE has ever been saved by praying. We are saved by faith (Ephesians 2:8-9).

Fourth, the Bible does not teach us to “invite” Jesus Christ into our life. Judas invited Jesus into his life, becoming one of Jesus' very own Apostles, yet Judas had a devil (John 6:70). Ungodly preachers have perverted God's grace, by adding a bunch of junk that God doesn't require to get saved. Christ is already inviting you to come to Him for salvation. You don't need to invite or ask Christ to save you!

Fifth, no where does the Holy Bible require that a person surrender “control” of their life over to the Holy Spirit to get to Heaven. In Romans 12:1 the Apostle Paul is pleading with the saints at Rome (Romans 1:7) to “present your bodies a living sacrifice” to God. Clearly, if surrendering to God were necessary to be saved, then these Romans couldn't have been saved, because they hadn't surrendered to God yet.

Sixth, no where does the inspired King James Bible require anyone to receive Jesus as their “Lord” to be saved. We simply need to receive Jesus as our personal Savior to get to Heaven. Christ automatically becomes your “Lord” the moment you receive Him as your Savior, whether you are surrendered to Him or not. Romans 14:9 teaches that Jesus died to be Lord of all. Every living creature, saved or unsaved, will someday bow down before Jesus and confess Him as “Lord.” Yet, many of those who confess Him will still spend eternity burning in Hell. Romans 14:9, “For to this end Christ both died, and rose, and revived, that he might be Lord both of the dead and living.” If you want to go to Heaven, you only need to receive Jesus as your personal Savior (John 6:40).

We covered the heresy of having to “pray” to be saved in point three. I have exposed SIX damnable heresies of Billy and Franklin Graham. Tragically, I hear Baptist preachers by the droves praising Billy and Franklin Graham, giving them the benefit of the doubt that they are really born-again children of God; yet, what I have just shown you is NOT THE FREE GRACE GOSPEL. Pastor Curtis Hutson got it 100% correct—THINGS THAT ARE DIFFERENT ARE NOT THE SAME!!!

Now that I have shown you the accursed false plan of salvation of Billy and Franklin Graham, let me show you what saith the Scripture? Acts 16:30b-31a, “Sirs, what must I do to be saved? And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.” Jesus died on the cross for our sins. He was buried and three days later He physically resurrected from the dead. This is the GOOD NEWS, or “THE GOSPEL” (1st Corinthians 15:1-4). Anyone who comes to God as a guilty sinner in need of salvation, who receives Christ's sacrifice on the cross as full payment for their sins, is immediately, irrevocably and eternally saved. You have God's PROMISE of it in John 3:16, “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” How does that drastically compare to Billy and Franklin Graham's complicated SIX HERESIES ON salvation?

Galatians 3:1-3, “O foolish Galatians, who hath bewitched you, that ye should not obey the truth, before whose eyes Jesus Christ hath been evidently set forth, crucified among you? This only would I learn of you, Received ye the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith? Are ye so foolish? having begun in the Spirit, are ye now made perfect by the flesh?”

Dear reader, just as Michael P. Bowen states at the end of chapter 12 in his wonderful book, you must CHOOSE whom to believe. Will you choose to believe Billy and Franklin Graham, or will you choose to believe what the precious Savior said? John 6:47, “Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me hath everlasting life.”

False teachers are nothing new...

Acts 15:1 and 24-26, “And certain men which came down from Judaea taught the brethren, and said, Except ye be circumcised after the manner of Moses, ye cannot be saved. ...Forasmuch as we have heard, that certain which went out from us have troubled you with words, subverting your souls, saying, Ye must be circumcised, and keep the law: to whom we gave no such commandment: It seemed good unto us, being assembled with one accord, to send chosen men unto you with our beloved Barnabas and Paul, Men that have hazarded their lives for the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.”

The Apostles sent Word that the false gospel being propagated in town didn't come from them. Dear reader, Billy and Franklin Graham DIDN'T get their plan of salvation from the inspired King James Bible, they got it from the Devil.
