There's Absolutely Nothing To Worry About

James 4:13-16, “Go to now, ye that say, To day or to morrow we will go into such a city, and continue there a year, and buy and sell, and get gain: Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away. For that ye ought to say, If the Lord will, we shall live, and do this, or that. But now ye rejoice in your boastings: all such rejoicing is evil.”

I could have chosen any one of hundreds of Scripture passages to go with my blog message. I was thinking this evening about how much we worry as believers. I admit that I find myself starting to worry sometimes, but it doesn't take me long to fully rest in my God. I am not worried about what will happen tomorrow, or next week, or next year. If something bad happens, then bring it on, my God is bigger than any problems I may have! I was thinking tonight that there's absolutely nothing to worry about. The difference between a stumbling block and a stepping stone is what you do with it.

One thing I have learned in life is that when one door closes, another door always opens. To lose something in the will of God is to find something better. Truthfully, there have been bad things that have happened in my life, that turned out to be good things. God turned them around. Other bad things that happened led to opportunities. One way or another, God has always taken care of me and guided me. I love this poem by Pastor Danny Castle...

In youth I'm too happy to think, I've got plenty of time left.
In manhood I'm too busy to think, I'm trying to make a lot of money.
In the prime of life I'm too anxious to think, worry has taken over.
When I start getting old, I'm too old to think—life's wasted, heart's got harder.
Dying in bed—I'm too sick to think, I'm weak and suffering.
Death is too late to think—time's over and opportunity is lost.
In eternity—forever to think, I'm in Hell now with no mercy, and lost forever.

“Too long I've laid me down to sleep, and prayed the Lord my soul to keep.
I should awake before I die, and realize time is passing by;
And rise and go and tell the lost, despite my plans despite the cost.
Too long I've laid me down to sleep, while multitudes about me weep;
And other cries of dark despair, for no one ever seems to care.
My life is short, and soon I'll stand, with sinner's bloods upon my hand;
Unless I wake before I die, and realize time is passing me by.”

“The clock of life is wound but once, and no man has the power,
 to tell just when the hands will stop, at late or early hour;
To lose one's wealth is sad indeed, to lose one's health is more,
to lose your soul is such a loss, that no one can restore.”
—Pastor Danny Castle

The things that you and I worry about don't ever happen, none times our of ten. I'd say 19 times out of 20! Yet why do we all worry so much? I know I tend to worry. It is in our nature. But I have learned not to accept worry. Jesus was right when He said in John 8:32, “And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”

The wonderful truths of the inspired Word of God will set any worried soul free. When I meditate upon the beautiful promises of God, my heart burns with joy. So often we allow the failures of yesterday, and worries over tomorrow, to rob us of the joy of serving God today. Dear child of God, your name is written in Heaven in the Lamb's Book of Life. We are going to receive a new glorified body fashioned like unto the Lord's resurrected body (Philippians 3:21). Jesus is preparing a home for us in Heaven (John 14:1-3). God has promised to give us all things (Romans 8:32). We shall never want or hurt anymore. Every tear shall be wiped away (Revelation 21:4). God will make all things new (Revelation 21:5).

But none of this will be yours if you die in your sins without Christ. If you have turned from your sinful ways to get to Heaven, YOU WON'T GO TO HEAVEN that way! You must cease from all of your own works, and REST completely in the Good News of Christ crucified, buried and risen for your sins. Jesus paid your debt of sin and mine. You must trust what Christ did for you through the cross of Calvary, and not rely upon your reformation or new lifestyle. Sadly, Calvinists are going to Hell forever!!! They add sanctification to justification, corrupting the Word of God and perverting God's free grace.

The ONLY thing that you need to worry about dear reader is if you have never been born-again. Unsaved people will spend eternity in the Lake of Fire (Revelation 20:11-15). Only through faith alone in Jesus Christ will anybody ever enter into God's Kingdom. All of your best efforts is filth to God (Isaiah 64:6). You cannot perform good works to impress God. Even telling one lie is enough to send you to Hell forever (James 2:10). Therefore, you and I desperately need a Savior. Jesus is that Savior, who died on the cross for our sins.

Jesus paid a debt He did not owe, because we owed a debt of sin we could not pay. If you are a child of God, you have nothing to worry about. I meet so many believers who live defeated lives, down in the dumps all the time. I have been there too friend, but it was only because I took my eyes of Jesus and started thinking about my problems. What we think about determines our mindset toward other things. I heard a wonderful sermon today by Pastor Ron Haese about “A Noisy Soul.” Many believers think about their problems and it generates noise in our soul...

A Noisy Soul (by Pastor Ron Haese)

The key to overcoming worry is to stop thinking about the things that cause us to worry. I find that the best way to overcome worry is to stay busy in my ministry, share the Gospel, listen to Bible preaching, get out of the house and go do something, and be faithful to your local church. If nothing else, we can serve God in our pain with a broken heart. That is what I have been doing for the past 15 years, serving God with a broken heart!!!

Instead of complaining to other people and bellyaching about your bad situation, you should be praising God and telling people how faithful and wonderful Jesus our Savior is! No matter what happens, or doesn't happen, GOD IS SO GOOD!!!

I Don't Find Weaknesses In Pastors, I Rebuke Damnable False Teachers!

Titus 1:9-14, “Holding fast the faithful word as he hath been taught, that he may be able by sound doctrine both to exhort and to convince the gainsayers. For there are many unruly and vain talkers and deceivers, specially they of the circumcision: Whose mouths must be stopped, who subvert whole houses, teaching things which they ought not, for filthy lucre's sake. One of themselves, even a prophet of their own, said, The Cretians are alway liars, evil beasts, slow bellies. This witness is true. Wherefore rebuke them sharply, that they may be sound in the faith; Not giving heed to Jewish fables, and commandments of men, that turn from the truth.”

I am sick and tired as a fundamentalist Bible preacher, being put down and critiqued by bad pastors who are not standing as they ought for God. I'm talking about Pastors Jeff Redlin, senior pastor of Campus Church at Pensacola Christian College. When I started attending the church in July of 2021, I had a sincere and positive attitude. I didn't understand why Pastor Redlin was shirking me aside, ignoring my emails and mistreating me. Quite frankly, Pastor Redlin treated me like garbage, even though I was kind and nice to him. I learned later that someone showed him my website ministry.

Pastor Redlin falsely accused me of “finding weaknesses” in pastors. No, I do what God commands believers to do, I REBUKE THEM SHARPLY who subvert whole households! The Bob Jones University crowd are corrupt as can be, preaching another gospel of Calvinism instead of a free grace Gospel. BJU is corrupt, because they use, sell and promote Satan's corruptible seed (i.e., the perverse modern Bible revisions). I am saddened that Jeff Redlin is such a foolish man, influencing thousands of PCC students with his indifferent attitude toward heresy. RIGHT DOCTRINE MATTERS!!!

In 2018 Pastor Sean Quinlan berated me at the Lighthouse Baptist Church on Guam. I was zealous about THE TRUTH. While I attended their church I was excited about sharing me beliefs about the King James Bible. Jesus said that out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh. But Sean Quinlan is a fool. Instead of commending me for caring about the Bible and the truth, he criticized me. Quinlan falsely accusing me of bringing a controversy into his church. First, it is God's church, not his. Secondly, there is absolutely nothing wrong with sharing my opinion with another Christian brother in a private conversation. Pastor Quinlan evidently thinks this is North Korea and he is a dictator who has a right to meddle in other people's private conversations that don't involve him. That is a bad pastor! That is a fool!

Sean Quinlan ought not be permitted behind any church or college pulpit, because he doesn't believe in the First Amendment of the U.S. Constitution. This is not communist China! I wasn't talk with perverse language, I was telling another Christian brother what was wrong with the Devil's modern Bibles. I warned my brother about Bob Jones University. That upset Sean Quinlan, because he is part of the apostate PCC camp, who are in bed with BJU. Pensacola Christian College (PCC) is pulling on the same rope as the Devil today! PCC sinfully bid Godspeed to the wicked Calvinist Bob Jones University (BJU) crowd. 2nd John 1:11, “For he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds.

Dear reader, I am not guilty of finding weaknesses in other preachers. That was an ungodly and stupid false accusation made by Pastor Jeff Redlin, for which he will answer to God. I am faithfully doing what Redlin and Quinlan don't have the guts, courage, decency and faith in God to do—I am REBUKING THEM SHARPLY that they might be sound in the faith, as Titus 1:9-14 teaches!!! Those wicked pastors had better repent while they still can! I like what Pastor Danny Castle said:
“There's a judgment coming, but you have the choice to settle out of court.” —Pastor Danny Castle
Pastors' Jeff Redlin and Sean Quinlan need to get right with God. Then there are unsaved infidels like Steve Pettit, Marty Herron, Sam Horn, Chuck Phelps, John MacArthur, John Piper, R.C. Sproul and other Calvinists! These perverse men ALL preach that you cannot be saved unless you repent (turn away from a lifestyle of sinful ways). That is the errant way that those wicked false teachers redefine repentance! That is NOT what the Bible teaches. The inspired King James Bible NEVER says in any place to repent “OF YOUR SINS.” Ungodly religious men added those extra words to God's Word. The true Bible meaning of the word “repent as a noun (metanoia) is a change of mind, nothing less or more. The verb meaning (metanoeo) is to think differently.” Hence, to repent means to LAY ASIDE YOUR WRONG THINKING and BELIEVE ON THE LORD JESUS CHRIST to be saved (Acts 16:30-31).

So, I do not go around finding WEAKNESSES in preachers, I expose their DAMNABLE DOCTRINES (false teachings) which damn men's souls to Hell forever! It is my duty as a Bible preacher! While Jeff Redlin and the PCC camp are playing with deadly snakes, coddling them and bidding them Godspeed; I am exposing the rotten and dangerous Bob Jones camp, warning everyone I can to avoid and stay away from them, lest they also be infected!!!
2nd Corinthians 6:14-18, “Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness? And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel? And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you, And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.”
Carefully notice that God didn't say to stick around and see if you can change the corrupt group. No, God said to “come out from among them, and be ye separate!!! God knows that neither you nor myself will change a corrupt institution once it has gone sour, that is, turned apostate. Bob Jones University is corrupt! They will not be rescued. Shame on PCC for trying to be buddies with the Devil's crowd. BJU is preaching a counterfeit gospel of partial faith in Christ plus works, which cannot produce the new birth. This is the same damnable false plan of salvation of Mormons, Jehovah's Witnesses and Seventh-Day Adventists. I have faithfully rebuked all these false religions, false prophets, false Bibles and false doctrines!

Did you know that Bob Jones University agree 100% with the Mormon view on repentance! That is sickening folks! BJU is of the Devil, please do not be deceived by their religious lingo. PCC has also gone to the dogs, offering mostly secular courses aimed at merely preparing young people to pursue nursing, engineering and business careers! PCC are a bunch of academics who woefully lack God's compassion for people. That is why Pastor Jeff Redlin treated me like garbage, because he does NOT have a pastor's heart. Jeff Redlin is a stinking academic, not a church builder! PCC are helping to destroy America, producing heartless academics who woefully lack God's compassion for hurting people. SHAME on Jeff Redlin, who has no business being a pastor. It is disgraceful at Campus Church!!! We need to expose false prophets, not befriend them as does PCC the infidel BJU camp! ...
“The pastors have destroyed the churches, and they've been trained by people that have never built churches, and they have no compassion.” —Pastor Jack Hyles, “Many Pastors Have Destroyed My Vineyard

Have Faith In God

Psalms 47:8, God reigneth over the heathen: God sitteth upon the throne of his holiness. Psalms 103:19, The LORD hath prepared his throne in the heavens; and his kingdom ruleth over all.  John 16:33, “These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.” Romans 8:14-18, “For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father. The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God: And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together. For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.

We are all struggling in one way or another these days. The crime rate rose 5% in 2020 and the homicide rate soared 30% in 2020, as compared to 2019. The pandemic, whether a media hoax or legitimate crisis, has wreaked havoc across America and the planet. Everyone is having a rough time. I focus most of my preaching on contending for the faith, because I feel that is where most preachers are failing nowadays. It is rare in these perilous times to hear a pastor call the names of false teachers! It is rare to hear pastors preach against the rotten and corrupt Bob Jones University camp and the shameful Pensacola Christian College camp who sinfully bid BJU Godspeed. These wicked institutions refuse to fight the good fight of faith, and are instead consumed with covetousness and greed to make more money. Something is very wrong with pastors today who refuse to stand. They are irresponsible and cowards!

Sadly, I see millions of apostate churchgoers putting their confidence in man instead of God. Psalms 118:8, “It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in man.” When naïve parents send their children off to corrupt colleges like Bob Jones University, they damn their children to be indoctrinated with the Satanic lies of Calvinism!!! This is not faith in God, this is faith is man. Satan is always attempting to infiltrate the churches. The Devil infiltrates first the Bible colleges, corrupting the students with Calvinism, knowing that foolish churches will hire these perverse graduates; which will then corrupt all the churches, missionaries and institutions they infect with “Lordship salvation and misunderstood repentance.

I find myself struggling just like everybody else to stay positive and keep an attitude of faith in God. That is really what everything all boils down to, HAVING FAITH IN GOD. Mark 11:22, “And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God.” HAVE FAITH IN GOD!!! That is what Jesus said. Let me say unequivocally that no man has true faith in God who preaches another gospel. Jesus kindly told the Samaritan woman at Jacob's Well in John 4:24, “God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.” God cannot be worshipped in error and lies.

Calvinism is a doctrinal poison which kills its hosts. What is Calvinism? It is the doctrine of a wicked man named John Calvin (1509-1564). Sadly, Calvin did not recognize salvation as an instantaneous new birth, but as an ongoing process in which the recipient must continue to repent of sin and live a faithful Christian life to get to Heaven. Due to the influence of Calvinism, modern preachers have wickedly changed the meaning of the word “repent” in the Bible, redefining it to mean “turning away from sin.” That is not what “repent” means at all in the Bible. The Greek word for “repent” in the New Testament is the noun metanoia (a change of mind) and the verb metanoeo (to think differently). Bible repentance is LAYING ASIDE WRONG THINKING, to instead BELIEVE ON THE LORD JESUS CHRIST (Acts 16:30-31).

Dear reader, HAVE FAITH IN GOD. The way we get saved is by taking God at His Word, believing the record that God has recorded in His written Word concerning His only begotten Son, Jesus. Jesus is the Christ, who died on the cross to pay our sin debt. He was buried and after three days Christ resurrected from the dead for our justification:

Romans 4:20-25, “He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God; And being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform. And therefore it was imputed to him for righteousness. Now it was not written for his sake alone, that it was imputed to him; But for us also, to whom it shall be imputed, if we believe on him that raised up Jesus our Lord from the dead; Who was delivered for our offences, and was raised again for our justification.

That is so beautiful! Abraham had FAITH IN GOD and it was imputed (credited) to him for righteousness. If we will simply BY FAITH believe that Jesus was crucified for our and sins and resurrected from the dead, then God will also impute the same righteousness to us. What a great God and Savior!!!

Greatness Is In The Preparation, Not In The Performance

Ephesians 4:21-24, “If so be that ye have heard him, and have been taught by him, as the truth is in Jesus: That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts; And be renewed in the spirit of your mind; And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.”

I want to show you another picture that I found this week. Truly, a picture is worth 1,000 words sometimes. I love the following picture of an iceberg...

Greatness is in the preparation,
not in the performance. —Dr. Jack Hyles

I also found these wonderful quotes by Pastor Hyles on the importance of preparation:

“If we prepare ourselves for life's inevitables, we will not be perplexed by life's transitions.” —Dr. Jack Hyles

“A person who has not done well the little is not prepared or qualified to do the big. —Dr. Jack Hyles

“A prepared person will always have his opportunity. —Dr. Jack Hyles

Amen and amen! Greatness is not in the performance, but in the preparation! I love that. It is a scientific fact that whenever you see an iceberg at sea, the bottom base of the iceberg extends ten times deeper and bigger under the water's surface than the portion of the iceberg that is visible above water. God is more than amazing!!!

Our life dear reader is much like the iceberg. Our words and actions at any given time are a result and reflection of years of character building or weakening. This is why it is so important for parents to make a deliberate effort to instill good character into their children by training them from infancy to think, do and live right. Children are like sponges, absorbing everything around them, both good and bad. It's not what you teach your children that influences them THE MOST, it is what they hear and see in your own behavior Mom and Dad!

But it's not just children, we as adults are also like sponges! If you're like me, you can hear a song one time during the day, and you'll be replaying that song in your mind for the rest of the day. The things that we see and hear are recorded in our brain, just like a tape recorder. I have fallen asleep while watching a movie, one that I have seen multiple times, and my conscious mind will wake me up during the ending credits of the movie. I have had that happen several dozen times, so much so that I concluded that my brain knows (even while I am sleeping) the timing of the movie. Scientists still don't fully understand the human mind and how it works.

Here's another personal example of how powerful the mind is. I often listen to Alexander Scourby read the King James Bible while I am sleeping. I have learned that the most important thing is to set the volume level just right. I adjust the volume through trial and error so that it is just loud enough to be able to comfortably hear the Holy Bible, but not so loud that it aggravates me. But every time I listen to the book of Revelation, and I mean EVERY TIME, when Alexander reads Revelation 19:13b about Jesus' name being “THE WORD OF GOD, I briefly wake up! I wake up because that verse is so dear and special to me! That is very interesting.

Whenever certain favorite Bible verses are read, I wake up! I also briefly wake up when John 1:1-3 is read. Passages about the inspired Word of God wake me up! It is the most amazing thing. It proves a couple things:

  1. First, that our subconscious mind is very alert while we are sleeping. It shows that our brain is always alert to things going on in the background.
  2. Second, it shows that we need to be very careful what we subject our mind to, because we are always preparing our mind for future events, tragedies and situations.

When a crisis comes into our life, it doesn't shape our character, it reveals our character! I listen to A LOT of Bible preaching! I do it for numerous reasons. I do it because I NEED PREACHING!!! I do it to gather truths to help my web visitors when they email to me. We all need to hear preaching, because preaching helps us think right! Of course, nothing should substitute for reading or listening to the inspired Word of God. The reason why so many churchgoers have been horribly corrupted today is because they blindly listen to corrupt preachers who errantly teach the Bible. By “blindly” I mean that they don't verify with their Bible the things being taught to them.

It is a very dangerous thing to assume (ass-u-me) that the things a preacher says are true. How do you know if he is telling you the truth? What saith the Scripture? 1st John 4:1, “Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.” We try (test) the spirit by searching the Word of God top see if what they are teaching aligns with God's Word. Acts 17:10-11, “And the brethren immediately sent away Paul and Silas by night unto Berea: who coming thither went into the synagogue of the Jews. These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.” The Bereans were more noble the Bible says they they are Thessalonica, because they SEARCHED THE SCRIPTURES DAILY. Why did they do that? The Bible says they searched the Scriptures to see “WHETHER THOSE THINGS WERE SO.” Boy, I love that!!! That is what every person needs to do, get into the Word of God to verify the things they are being taught.

Dear reader, if everyone would follow this simple rule—to SEARCH THE SCRIPTURES to verify the things we are being taught by pastors and evangelists—false doctrine would be stopped in its tracks and exposed!!! John 5:39, “Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me.Never take any speaker at their word, compare what he or she is saying with the Holy Bible.

I worked in the secular workplace most of my life. It is a jungle out there! it is very difficult for a born-again child of God to work in a heathen environment at work. I was bullied as a Christian in the workplace on nearly every job I ever worked! I know firsthand the pain and mental anguish of working in a Hostile Work Environment. If that is you dear friend, I encourage you to join your union if you have one, and study your union book to learn your rights in the workplace. That is how to cope with bullies and bad management, know your rights and fight for them! Learn about EEOC (Equal Employment Opportunity Commission).

I am now 54 years old. I have fought umpteen battles in my life because of people violating my rights. As a Christian I know that God our Creator has rights too! Ecclesiastes 12:13, “Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.” I love that Bible passage, because it sums up life!!! Very few people fear God and keep His commandments. To “fear God literally means that you are afraid of His judgment if you disobey Him. I fear God and so should you! Many people only obey the law for fear of the courts, and thank God for that! But what if the apocalyptical time comes when there is no courts anymore? Would you still do what is right? You will if you fear God. Do right if the stars fall, DO RIGHT!!!

As a born-again child of God I do not fear going to Hell (John 3:18;Acts 13:39; Romans 5:20; Romans 8:1). But I do fear God's “hot displeasure” (Psalms 6:1) and facing the “terror of the Lord” (2nd Corinthians 5:11). 2nd Corinthians 5:10 teaches that every believer will be held accountable for the GOOD and the BAD done in the body. Contrary to what some preachers errantly teach, we WILL have to answer for our poor choices as God's children. 1st Thessalonians 4:6 warns that if we defraud our Christian brother, God will avenge them of our wickedness. Although there is no danger of criminal court (Revelation 20:11-15) in eternity for any believer, there is risk of loss in civil court (1st Corinthians 3:15).

God wants every child of His to be RENEWED in the spirit of our mind...

Ephesians 4:21-24, “If so be that ye have heard him, and have been taught by him, as the truth is in Jesus: That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts; And be renewed in the spirit of your mind; And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.

We have heard some false preachers teach that you must repent of your sin to be saved. Calvinists errantly preach this falsehood. They claim that if you don't turn away from a lifestyle of sin that your faith is fake and you are not saved. But as we just read in Ephesians 4:22-24, the Bible tells believers to “put off” the old man, implying that this is not essential to get to Heaven. Putting off the old man is a choice. God commands every born-again believer to put off the old man, and put on the new man created in righteousness, but IT IS A CHOICE!

If these qualities were automatic with the new birth, then the Apostle Paul wouldn't need to teach them to the believers at the church of Ephesus. But Paul is teaching them, exhorting the saints at Ephesus to put on the new man which is created in righteousness through faith in Jesus. So there are TWO decisions that every person needs to make. The first is whether or not to accept Jesus as your personal Savior. If you do receive Christ, then there is a second decision that God wants you to make, which is to follow Jesus as His disciple. It is VERY important that we always keep salvation (sonship) completely separate from service (discipleship). I love this helpful quote from Pilgrim's Progress author, John Bunyan:

“If you do not put a difference between justification wrought by the man Christ without and sanctification wrought by the Spirit of Christ within, you are not able to divide the Word aright; but contrariwise, you corrupt the Word of God, and cast stumbling blocks before the people.” [emphasis added] —Evangelist John Bunyan (1628-1688)

Greatness is in the preparation, not in the performance. There are many preachers today who did not spend quality time preparing for the pulpit. They are corrupt in their doctrine, unsaved infidels, wrestling the Word of God to their own destruction (2nd Peter 3:16-17). I spent eight years at Hyles-Anderson College (1985-1993) preparing for the ministry as a pastor. I slept in my car, shed my blood on the roadway, froze in the winter, sweltered in the hot weather, but I earned my degree! That just the beginning of the preparation! Then life was the real teacher, breaking me down to the ground, so that God could build me up. As the old wise preacher said, while baptizing a young man who felt God's immediate call to preach: “God take him, break him and make him!” God cannot truly use a man until He first breaks him!!!

Job was familiar with God's chastisement and testing. Job 5:1-2, “Behold, happy is the man whom God correcteth: therefore despise not thou the chastening of the Almighty: For wrath killeth the foolish man, and envy slayeth the silly one.Solomon too knew God's chastisement. Proverbs 3:11-12, “My son, despise not the chastening of the LORD; neither be weary of his correction: For whom the LORD loveth he correcteth; even as a father the son in whom he delighteth.Chastisement is never pleasant! No one likes to be broken and tested by God. But it is necessary if we are to grow and be used of God for His purpose and glory. The greatness is never in the brief performance, but in the decades of laborious, painful and relentless preparation.

Partial Faith In Christ Plus Works Is Not Salvation

Galatians 3:1-3, “O foolish Galatians, who hath bewitched you, that ye should not obey the truth, before whose eyes Jesus Christ hath been evidently set forth, crucified among you? This only would I learn of you, Received ye the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith? Are ye so foolish? having begun in the Spirit, are ye now made perfect by the flesh?”

I love this passage of Scripture! The Apostle Paul was upset at the churches of Galatia because they had foolishly allowed a religious cult to infiltrate and corrupt them. Paul write in this epistle to the Galatians and asks them ONE THING: “Received ye the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith? Are ye so foolish? having begun in the Spirit, are ye now made perfect by the flesh?” Paul makes it very plain and simple—How did you get saved (i.e., indwelt by God's Holy Spirit), by keeping the works of the law, or by THE HEARING OF FAITH? I absolutely cherish Paul's use of that little phrase, “the hearing of faith” in Galatians 3:2, because it shows just how easy and simple it is to be saved. When you hear the Good News (Gospel) of Jesus Christ crucified, buried and bodily risen the third day (1st Corinthians 15:1-4), and you BELIEVE that Good News, you are saved, period.

One of my very favorite books is by Michael P. Bowen titled: “I NEVER KNEW YOU: THE COMING GREAT WHITE THRONE JUDGMENT AND HOW YOU CAN AVOID IT!” Michael makes a personal appeal to the reader, sharing his personal life and heartaches in past failed relationships, using those painful memories to relate them to salvation. The Lord Himself said that “many” people in eternity will seek to enter into Heaven, but shall not be able. Luke 13:23-24, “Then said one unto him, Lord, are there few that be saved? And he said unto them, Strive to enter in at the strait gate: for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able.” f

The following helpful quotes are taken from “I NEVER KNEW YOU concerning partial faith in Christ plus works...
When we attempt to be saved by placing partial faith in Christ and partial faith in our works, we are essentially calling God the Father a liar. God will not accept our works in any shape, manner or form in terms of salvation. Acts 13:39 states that, “And by Him all that believe are justified from all things, from which ye could not be justified by the law of Moses.” p. 45

In sum, no combination of good works plus faith in Christ can save a lost person from the lake of fire. No matter how sincere you are before God, partial faith in Christ and partial faith in the Christian Lifestyle will not save you. Only faith alone (apart from your good works) in the finished work of Jesus Christ will save you. p. 46

Jesus is telling us clearly that anyone who believes on Him alone for their salvation is not condemned (will never be eternally damned), but those who do not believe Him, which includes both those who reject Him outright as well as those who place partial faith in Him and partial faith in living the Christian Lifestyle to get them into heaven, these people are “condemned already” according to Christ because they have not believed in Him. p. 50

Neither will any combination of partial faith in Christ coupled with partial faith in turning from your I Never Knew You 84 sins save you. By implication, “believing on Christ” always refers to the fact of what He did for us at Calvary. The gospel message is the same throughout all of scripture. Those in the Old Testament looked “forward” to what Christ would do for them, and everyone from the time of Christ’s resurrection to this very day look “backward” to what Christ accomplished for us by His finished work at Calvary. The gospel message of Jesus Christ, i.e., the “plan of salvation according to Jesus Christ,” is always the same and it never changes. This message is: 1) we cannot save ourselves, 2) Jesus died for our sins, 3) His dead body was buried, and 4) Jesus arose from the dead three days later. “He that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in himself: he that believeth not God hath made him a liar; because he believeth not the record that God gave of his Son. And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life. These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God” (1 John 5:10-13). pp. 83-84

Look at what Jesus has to say to all of those who placed only partial faith in Him and the rest of their faith in living the “Christian Lifestyle” as their means to gain entrance into heaven: “Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity” (Matthew 7:21-23). From there, all who have trusted in counterfeit forms of the gospel will be sent to the lake of fire. “And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there I Never Knew You 119 was found no place for them. And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire” (Revelation 20:11-15). Who will you choose to believe, reader, when it comes to where you will spend your eternal destiny? Will you choose the words of men, or will you choose the words of Jesus Christ? This, of course, is up to you. pp. 118-119

The lost person’s partial faith in Christ and partial faith in his or her works and discipleship will not be “enough” to get them into His eternal dwelling place. I urge you, reader, to understand that Christ has but one way into His heaven, and that way is through trusting in Him alone as your only hope of heaven. To trust Christ as your only means of entering heaven you must first realize the penalty for sin, which is eternal death and separation from Him in the lake of fire. Once you realize you are under this eternal “death penalty,” you then trust that Christ paid for your sins by His death on the cross and that He arose from the grave three days later. Because Christ knows every single thought I Never Knew You 130 you are thinking at this very moment, He “knows” whether or not you have trusted in Him alone, or if you are only placing partial trust in Him and the rest of your trust in living the “Christian Lifestyle” as your hope of entering into His heaven. The latter won’t save you, but the former will save you. You either trust Christ alone or you trust partially in Christ plus your “filthy rags.” To do the latter, you will not make it to heaven; however, if you choose the former, you, at this very moment, have a home in heaven waiting for you! God immediately grants you the gift of everlasting life in heaven the very same instant that you trust Christ alone to save you. pp. 129-130

Since there is no justification by the law, when we attempt to save ourselves by putting partial faith in obeying the law and partial faith in Jesus’ death on the cross and resurrection from the dead, we will have no grace (no salvation). p. 147

Dear reader, again and again we are warned in the Word of God against combining works with faith, because this is a counterfeit plan of salvation which leads to Hell. END

What Can One Person Do For God?

Judges 3:31, “And after him was Shamgar the son of Anath, which slew of the Philistines six hundred men with an ox goad: and he also delivered Israel.”

God Used Shamgar (One man) To Deliver An Entire Nation

Perhaps you ask, what can I do about the condition of the world today, I'm just one person? Shamgar was not an army, he was just one man in a dark time in the time of the judges. Just one insignificant man delivered the entire nation of Israel against the wicked Philistines.

Our churches have become social clubs. Liberalism is taking over our churches. What can one person do to fight against the Devil? Shamgar was only one person in the Bible, but God used him to do great things. In these woeful times of darkness, one person can make a worldwide difference. This is a great principle! In days of darkness God delivers His people through individuals. He may do it through one person, or a group led by one man of God.

More than Congress or the United Nations, one person can influence the world for God if we're yielded to His will. One man plus God equals a majority! God is looking for that one man who is consecrated, concentrated and dedicated to the things of Jesus Christ. Philippians 2:20-21, “For I have no man likeminded, who will naturally care for your state. For all seek their own, not the things which are Jesus Christ's.”

God is looking for a few weak men! 2nd Corinthians 12:10, “Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ's sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong.” God uses the weak and the little-known to do His work, that no flesh should glory in His presence:
1st Corinthians 1:26-29, “For ye see your calling, brethren, how that not many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called: But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty; And base things of the world, and things which are despised, hath God chosen, yea, and things which are not, to bring to nought things that are: That no flesh should glory in his presence.”
I believe that God has given me this international ministry because He knows that I am a weak NOBODY. God uses the weak, foolish and the little-known to do His work, that no flesh should glory in His presence.

A little person, in a little place, doing a little thing, can be used by God to do great things, and receive a big reward from God. Here am I Lord, send me! God doesn't save groups, He saves individuals. The Bible was written to the individual. One godly mother can raise her children as deadly arrows to shoot at the Devil. Psalms 127:4, “As arrows are in the hand of a mighty man; so are children of the youth.” The Lord doesn't search for groups or committees; but rather, individuals.

The Lord said in Ezekiel 22:30 that He was seeking for A MAN (an individual). Ezekiel 22:30, “And I sought for a man among them, that should make up the hedge, and stand in the gap before me for the land, that I should not destroy it: but I found none.” By God's grace I want to be one of those men. Isaiah 6:8, “Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then said I, Here am I; send me.”

Proverbs 14:34, “Righteousness exalteth a nation: but sin is a reproach to any people.”
“We need porcupine preachers, so that the people will get the point.” —Brother Lester Roloff, 'PAWING IN THE VALLEY'
John 7:7, “The world cannot hate you; but me it hateth, because I testify of it, that the works thereof are evil.” One man plus God equals a majority! One person can do unbelievable things when wholly submitted to God's Holy Spirit. The U.S. military is always look for “A Few Strong Men”; but God is looking for “one weak man.” God doesn't need a group of committee, He just needs one man wholly submitted to His will. In Ezekiel 22:30 the Lord sought for “a man” (singular), not men (plural).

God created one man, Adam, not a village. God made Eve from Adam's rib, taken from his flesh, to be his lifelong HELP MEET. God used one man, Noah, to build an ark and save his family alive from the flood. God used just one man, Moses, to lead His people out of bondage from Egypt. God used one man, Elijah, to defeat the 450 prophets of Baal. God always seeks for just one man to get the job done. Now, God may use a group of men to accomplish His purposes, but God calls those men as individuals. Jesus didn't recruit His apostles as a group, but one by one as individuals.

Dear friend, YOU can do much for God when you fully realize that GOD CAN DO MUCH THROUGH YOU!!! Several years ago I received one of the greatest compliments from a web visitor. A kind man said: “Thank you Brother Stewart for allowing God to do all this through you.” I was humbled and for a moment felt awkward after reading that kind remark. I thought to myself: “Who am I that I should 'allow' God to do something?” But then I realized that this is exactly true! We must voluntarily submit to God if we would have Him use us for His purpose.

What saith the Scripture? Romans 6:13, “Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God.God will not force anyone to get saved. God will not force those who are saved to follow and obey Him. God has given to all humanity a FREEWILL. God will chasten us when we go back on our word, as God did Jonah (Hebrews 12:6-8). We have all heard the story of Jonah. Preachers all say that God commanded Jonah to go preach to the Assyrians in the city of Nineveh. But Jonah had actually made a vow to God to go preach to Nineveh, and then reneged on his vow. Jonah 2:9-10, “But I will sacrifice unto thee with the voice of thanksgiving; I will pay that that I have vowed.  Salvation is of the LORD.  And the LORD spake unto the fish, and it vomited out Jonah upon the dry land.” It seems clear to me that Jonah had broken a promise to God, because immediately after Jonah agreed to keep his vow, God caused the fish to drop off Jonah at the next whale stop!

I encourage you dear friend to examine the talents, gifts, resources and abilities which God has given to you in life, and then use them for God to get people saved. Everything that we do should be toward preaching the Gospel to get lost sinners saved. Sadly, you can type just about any hobby or interest on the internet, and then add the word “ministry” and you will find it. For example: Search online and you will find bicycle ministries, sailboat ministries, skydiving ministries, skateboard ministries, et cetera. Now, I'm all for such ministries, BUT ONLY IF THE GOSPEL IS PREACHED!!! Nothing is a so-called “ministry unless the Good News of Jesus Christ crucified, buried and bodily risen is being preached with lost sinners.

I heard a famous Christian musician say years ago that he has “a ministry” playing pedal steel guitar in Las Vegas. No, he doesn't have a ministry, because he doesn't share the Gospel with his audience. He tantalizes them with his beautiful steel guitar music, but they leave in their sins just as they came! And while I'm on the topic, if you look at ANY mainstream Contemporary Christian Music (CCM) artist's website, you WON'T find a Gospel presentation. I triple-dog dare you to show me on singer Amy Grant's website where she shares the Gospel with her millions of fans. Sadly, she doesn't!

Years ago in 1984 Amy Grant made this shameful comment. (Remember, Amy professes to be a Christian.):
“I'm a singer, not a preacher, I'm not looking to convert anybody” says Christian rock diva Amy Grant. (Los Angeles Times, 5/4/84, pg. 2-c)
I almost went to hear and see Amy Grant perform in Pensacola, Florida at a local concert on October 29th, 2021 at the Saenger Theater downtown. I decided not too go because of her phony Christian testimony, which disgusts me. I have nothing personal against Amy. I don't condemn her for her past mistake and sins. But what sickens me is the CCM crowd who are as shallow as can be. They all profess faith in Christ. They all claim to love God. They all claim to love their fans. Yet none of them preach a free grace Gospel to their fans. At best the artists claim that they preach the Gospel through their music in the lyrics. What a joke! Have you read their lame lyrics?

So unless you are sharing the Gospel with people, you DON'T have a legitimate ministry. The Salvation Army was great in the 19th century. They used to march in public, preaching the Gospel and performing band music. Their arch rival, the Skelton Army, used to hurl dead cats, buckets of urine and feces off rooftops on them down below in the streets, et cetera. Today, the Salvation Army is mostly ARMY with very little SALVATION. They are famous for handing out hot-chocolate to firemen at fires. That is wonderful, but what about their souls?

What am I saying? I am teaching you dear reader that you need to make sure that the Gospel of free grace is preached, in whatever you decide to do for God. The Gospel needs your help and mine. There is so much that we can all do for the cause of Jesus Christ.

The Need For Warriors In Fervent Prayer To God

Colossians 4:12, “Epaphras, who is one of you, a servant of Christ, saluteth you, always labouring fervently for you in prayers, that ye may stand perfect and complete in all the will of God.” Sadly, an area that has been all but abandoned in our Christian churches today is genuine Bible prayer. I am so tired of hearing heretics encourage people to pray as a good “therapy.” Folks, if praying is nothing more to you than a way of helping you self-cope with the stresses in your life, then I truly feel sorry for you!!! I pray to God as a stress relief too, but it is because GOD ANSWERS PRAYER, and not as a self-help therapeutic practice that I pray (Philippians 4:6-7).

Samuel “Dickey Gordon (1859-1936) was a prolific Christian author and evangelical lay minister active in the latter part of the 19th and early 20th centuries. Here are some edifying quotes from Samuel D. Gordon:
“Prayer is man giving God a footing on the contested territory of this earth. The man in full touch of purpose with God praying, insistently praying—that man is God's footing on the enemy's soil. The man wholly given over to God gives Him a new sub-headquarters on the battle-field from which to work out. And the Holy Spirit within that man, on the new spot, will insist on the enemy's retreat in Jesus the Victor's name. That is prayer. Shall we not, every one of us, increase God's footing down upon His prodigal earth!” ―Samuel D. Gordon, 'Quiet Talks On Prayer,' 1904

“Our prayer is God's opportunity to get into the world that would shut Him out.” ―Samuel D. Gordon, '5 Christian Books in 1 Book'

“The greatest thing any one can do for God and for man is to pray.” ―Samuel D. Gordon, '5 Christian Books in 1 Book'

“You can do more than pray after you have prayed but you cannot do more than pray until you have prayed.” ―Samuel D. Gordon, 'Quiet Talks on Prayer'
My favorite quotes from S.D. Gordon is:
“Prayer is man giving God a footing on the contested territory of this earth.” ―Samuel D. Gordon, 'Quiet Talks On Prayer,' 1904
We are engaged in a constant spiritual battle on earth (Ephesians 6:12-18). When people ruffle our feathers and give us a hard time, we must always keep in mind that Satan is the spiritual father of all unsaved people. That is why a believer should never marry an unbeliever, lest you end up having the Devil as a feather-in-law! 2nd Corinthians 6:14-17 strictly forbids for a Christian believer to become unequally yoked together with an unbeliever. This not only applies to the marriage yoke, but also to the business yoke, the close friendship yoke and all other yokes!

To put it plainly, the Christian has a completely different mindset than the unsaved person does (1st Corinthians 2:14-16). We still need to unconditionally love unsaved people and be friendly toward them, so they may see God's holiness and love in us (Hebrews 12:14). Every believer needs to pray, not only for our own needs, but for the needs of others as well.

I have been visiting a few different local Baptist churches in Pensacola. At one particular church that I love to attend, the biological father (and former church pastor) of the present pastor had a massive heart-attack a couple weeks ago. He was rushed into surgery and underwent a quadruple heart bypass! Wow! I learned that the highest number of heart valves surgeons can bypass is a quintuple (five). Wow! That fifth valve behind the heart is difficult for surgeons to diagnose when blocked, which is why it is commonly called The Widow Maker!” Ouch! I am amazed that surgeons can crack open a man's chest and perform such intricate life-saving surgeries. God is more than amazing!!!

God will greatly use a humble Christian who has faith in his or her heart, an inspired King James Bible in their hand, and is yielded to God's Holy Spirit. Dear reader, God can do great things through YOU. I learned a very long time ago that the way to be greatly used of God is to GIVE GOD ALL THE CREDIT AND PRAISE!!! If my web visitors leave thinking that I am great, I have utterly failed at my ministry; but if you leave thinking how great is our blessed God and Savior, Jesus Christ, then I have succeeded! ...
1st Corinthians 1:27-31, “But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty; And base things of the world, and things which are despised, hath God chosen, yea, and things which are not, to bring to nought things that are: That no flesh should glory in his presence. But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption: That, according as it is written, He that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord.”
So if you want to be used greatly by God, then brag about OUR GRAET GOD!!! God doesn't need our talents, abilities, wisdom, skills or anything!!! But God would love to use those qualities of we keep in mind continually that WITHOUT JESUS WE CAN DO NOTHING!!! John 15:5, “I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.

Is Believing In Eternal Security Essential To Salvation?

John 10:27-29, “ My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:  And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never peris...
