The Great I AM

1st John 4:7-12, “Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God. He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love. In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him. Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins. Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another. No man hath seen God at any time. If we love one another, God dwelleth in us, and his love is perfected in us.”

The Scriptural truth “God is love” means that God eternally gives Himself to others. God's love saves us from our sins and guarantees eternal life to those who trust in His only begotten Son, Jesus. John 3:16, “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”

Dear friend, if we want proof of God's love for us, then we must look first at the cross where God offered up His only begotten Son as a sacrifice for our sins. Calvary is the one objective, absolute, irrefutable “proof” of God's love for us. We love others by sharing the Gospel. We love others by eliminating the slander and gossip in our life. We love others by learning the stories of others. Everyone has a story, but we must take the time to hear it, otherwise it cannot be a story. To be a story, someone's life needs to be told. We love others by giving without strings attached. We love others by praying for those who are hard to love.

Our blessed Savior set the example, giving us a pattern to follow. Christ lived a selfish life, unconditionally loving others. As God's children we must share Christ's love, beginning in our home and then it will expand outward to all areas of our life. There is only one thing that chooses to give up its own rights, its own plans, its own comforts, and even one's own life, and that is to allow Christ to love others through us!!! Galatians 2:20, “I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.”

God's love transforms the way we treat others! You can tell how close a believer is to God by how they treat other people, especially those who can do nothing for them. Love is the hallmark of every born-again child of God, because God is love. Love and caring are synonymous! When I see professed Christians and pastors who don't care—don't care about right doctrine, don't care about hurting people, don't care about the truth—then I know that something is wrong with their walk with Christ. God cares (1st Peter 5:7).

My web visitors know that I CARE. I care because God cares. That doesn't mean that I am a shining example of a good Christian, I am not. I mess up sometimes just like anybody else does. We are all sinners (Romans 3:23). The biggest sinners among us are those critics who slander, tear down and berate others who sin differently than they do (Matthew 7:1-5). No one has a justifiable right to condemn someone else (Romans 14:10-12). Thankfully our acceptance comes from God alone, so that it doesn't matter if the whole world condemns us, there is no condemnation for the redeemed child of God. Romans 8:34, “Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.”

Jesus is the great I AM. I have heard false teachers falsely claim that Jesus never claimed to be God in the Bible. What a lie! Our dear Savior did most certainly claim to be God. One such profound claim is found in John 8:58, “Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am.” Jesus told the Jews that before Abraham was even conceived He existed as God, the great I AM. To understand why the Jews became enraged and tried to kill Him (John 8:59) when He made this claim, you need to read Exodus 3:14, “And God said unto Moses, I AM THAT I AM: and he said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I AM hath sent me unto you.” Jesus was professing that He is the same “I AM” Who spoke to Moses. JESUS IS ALMIGHTY GOD!!!

Jesus walked this earth as the great I AM in the flesh, the Godhead incarnate (Colossians 2:9; 1st Timothy 3:16 - NOTE: all Scripture references are only to the inspired King James Bible). Psalms 103:8, “The LORD is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and plenteous in mercy.” I am continually humbled and astonished that the great I AM wanted to walk so closely with me, that He chose to live inside me as His child. If you are saved friend, God lives inside of your body and soul.

Literally, YOU are the temple of the Holy Spirit, not the church building down the street (1st Corinthians 3:16-16). Without a called out assembly of believers, the church house is nothing more than four walls and a roof! What a blessed privilege we have today as Christians, knowing that our great God and Savior lives in our very being. Have you told God that you love Him today? I did, multiple times. Have you spent time fellowshipping with your Savior today? I did, all afternoon as I have been working on my website ministry, and I have had a wonderful day! Jesus makes life worth living!!!

Love is the greatest thing in my life. I love everyone because God loves me, and that unconditional love is shed abroad in my heart by the Holy Spirit. Romans 5:5, “And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.” What a blessed Holy Spirit, the great I AM living inside of me as God's adopted child. Jesus is precious!!!

The Blatant Fraud Behind The Devil's Modern Bibles

THE MESSAGE (MSG) - Zechariah 13:6, “And if someone says, ‘And so where did you get that black eye?’ they’ll say, ‘I ran into a door at a friend’s house.’”

Dear reader, we are living in times of utter insanity! I speak to the shame of today's apostate churches. I speak to the shame of failed institutions like Bob Jones University (BJU) who endorse and promote the Devil's Bible-corrupting movement. If you support even one of Brooke Westcott's and Fenton Hort's perverse Greek version, or Rudolf  Kittel's corrupt Hebrew, you are guilty of sanctioning all of them, because they all come from the same CORRUPT TEXTS!

Examples of how Satan changes the Bible

I intentionally quoted Zechariah 13:6 from both the trustworthy King James Bible (KJB) and the corrupt The Message (MSG), so you can compare for yourself. I don't know about you, but it upsets me, not so much that wicked people are butchering the Holy Bible for filth lucre, but that professed Christians and pastors accept this evil trash as being God's inspired Word. To allow a fool to promote his foolishness in our churches is a sin. The Message is of the Devil.

What a hilarious and equally sad thing! The ungodly authors of 'The Message' changed our dear Lord having wounds in His hands, to saying that Jesus ran into a door and got a black eye! Truth is indeed stranger than fiction. What blasphemy! The reason why these translators needed to come up with something resemblant of a bad science fiction film, is simply because there are already HUNDREDS of copyrighted Bible versions in existence; therefore, the choice of words to use is very limited and the translators had to come up with something substantially different and creative. I'll say! Folks, these wicked people didn't even follow the Hebrew text, they just literally made up whatever they felt like putting down.

Zechariah 13:6 in the Masoretic Hebrew

The Bible issues several warnings to anyone who would dare change and corrupt God's Words. Proverbs 30:5-6, “Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him. Add thou not unto his words, lest he reprove thee, and thou be found a liar.” The dishonest translators of The Message version are bold-faced LIARS! Nowhere in the accurate Masoretic Hebrew text does it even hint that Jesus got a black eye from running into a door!!! What liars! In fact, even the corrupt Hebrew texts don't say that Jesus got a black eye from running into a door! They just made this garbage up to obtain a legal copyright so they could sell this trash and make money. Hell is waiting for these evildoers!!!

Faith In Christ Period Versus Faith In Christ Plus

John 6:28-29, “Then said they unto him, What shall we do, that we might work the works of God? Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent.“ Acts 10:43, “To him give all the prophets witness, that through his name whosoever believeth in him shall receive remission of sins.” Acts 16:30-31, “And brought them out, and said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved? And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.”

Again and again throughout the Holy Bible we are taught that the way of salvation is to simply BELIEVE ON CHRIST, PERIOD. Tragically, churches and Bible colleges and pastors everywhere nowadays are preaching FAITH IN CHRIST, PLUS something else, which cannot produce the new birth by the Holy Spirit of God. One of my absolute favorite sermons is by Pastor Dennis Rokser, preached at the Sugar Land Bible Church in Texas. The awesome sermon, a defense of the simple Gospel is called: 'GETTING THE GOSPEL RIGHT AND WRONG'...

GETTING THE GOSPEL RIGHT AND WRONG

Dear reader, the Word of God is adamantly clear that there is NOT another Gospel. ... 

Galatians 1:6-9, “I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel: Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ. But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed. ”

There is only ONE GOSPEL. I am sickened by most church pastors today, particularly Baptists. I am sickened because they all go along with their peers, knowing that their peers in the clergy are preaching a wide array of unbiblical ideas. For example: Pastor Curtis Hutson (1934-1995) correctly preaches a free grace Gospel, FAITH IN CHRIST, PERIOD. Dr. Hutson refutes the heresy of Lordship Salvation. 

In sharp contrast, Dr. Steve Pettit (president of Bob Jones University since 2014) preaches another gospel of Calvinism (aka, Lordship Salvation). This is the same damnable heresy that Pastor John MacArthur teaches. These men cannot all be right! 

“In great contests [battles], each party claims to act in accordance with the will of God—both may be, but one must be, wrong—God cannot be for and against the same thing at the same time!” —President Abraham Lincoln

Why did Mr. Lincoln say that? It is because both the Northern Union and the Southern Confederacy claimed to be doing “God's will” in fighting The Civil War (1860-1965). Both President Jefferson Davis in the south, and President Abraham Lincoln in the north, said they were doing “God's will.” As Mr. Lincoln wisely points out, that is IMPOSSIBLE! When two opposing parties, who are warring against each other, claiming to be doing God's will, obviously someone is WRONG! That is why Abraham Lincoln made that powerful statement!

Likewise, the Gospel cannot mean that there are multiple plans of salvation. Either you don't have to do anything except BELIEVE IN CHRIST, PERIOD; or else you must BELIEVE IN CHRIST, PLUS turn away from your sins, surrender your life to Christ as absolute “Lord,” run the race (Christian life) faithfully unto the end, count the cost and pay the price, exchange all that you are for all that Christ is, live a lifestyle of repentance (continually turning away from sinful behavior), and follow Jesus no matter what the cost. I have provided the preceding hyperlinks so you can see the theological garbage that these false teachers preach for yourself. Folks, all of these things have their proper place in the Christian life, but NONE OF THEM comprise the Gospel (Good News) that saves us by faith (1st Corinthians 15:1-4).

If you want to go to Heaven someday dear friend, then you had better BELIEVE IN JESUS, PERIOD. John 6:40, “And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day.” That is so simple! The Father's only will for you and me, concerning eternal life, is that we BELIEVE ON CHRIST. John 20:31, “But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name.” Again and again the Word of God simply teaches us to BELIEVE ON CHRIST, PERIOD.

Yet, these devils in the pulpit today like Marty Herron, Gary Walton, Steve Pettit, John Piper, John MacArthur, Sam Horn, Ray Comfort, Adrian Rodgers, Jack Chick, William Lane Craig, Chip Ingram, Paul Washer, Joel Osteen, John Hagee, Rick Warren, Beth Moore, Charles Stanley, Bryan Derringer, Southern Baptist Convention, Pacific Garden Mission's UNSHACKLED—all these corrupt infidels are guilty of preaching another gospel that says to BELIEVE IN CHRIST, PLUS something more to be saved. 

In Matthew 7:21-23 we find a group of dedicated religious zealots, who spent their lives serving and following Christ as “LORD, LORD.” Yet Jesus denied even knowing them! The reason why is because they were trusting in FAITH IN CHRIST, PLUS their many wonderful works done in Jesus' name, and that they had preached in Jesus' name, and that they had cast out devils in Jesus' name. The Lord makes it very clear in Matthew 7:21, “Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.” John 6:40 says that the Father's will is to BELIEVE ON CHRIST, PERIOD!!! 

We LOOK TO LIVE, we don't LIVE TO LOOK. Isaiah 45:22, “Look unto me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth: for I am God, and there is none else.” Regeneration does not precede faith (John 1:12-13). If you admit that you are a guilty sinner, seeing your need for redemption, Christ will save you simply for resting in Him as your Savior. John 6:47, “Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me hath everlasting life.”

The Sufferings Of This Present Time

Romans 8:17-18, “And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together. For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.”

 What a wonderful passage of Scripture!

First, the Apostle Paul addresses the "sufferings of this present time." Everyone endures some degree of suffering in this earthly life, some much more than others. There is no pain like the pain caused when a spouse files for divorce and abandons. There is no sense of loss as that of losing one's children. It is difficult to continue in life when one's health is poor and pain is a constant companion. There is nothing more frustrating than jealous and malicious co-workers who enjoy harassing and making one's life more difficult on a daily basis. There is nothing more disappointing than to have one's plans for the future destroyed. Living can so easily turn into surviving in this frail world in which we dwell. There is no guarantee of success, happiness, or health in life. The only guarantee is problems and death.

The Apostle Paul had more than his share of problems, disappointments and frustrations in life. In 2nd Corinthians 11:23-27 the Apostle Paul shares with us some of the hardships of life he went through . . .

"...in labours more abundant, in stripes above measure, in prisons more frequent, in deaths oft. Of the Jews five times received I forty stripes save one. Thrice was I beaten with rods, once was I stoned, thrice I suffered shipwreck, a night and a day I have been in the deep; In journeyings often, in perils of waters, in perils of robbers, in perils by mine own countrymen, in perils by the heathen, in perils in the city, in perils in the wilderness, in perils in the sea, in perils among false brethren; In weariness and painfulness, in watchings often, in hunger and thirst, in fastings often, in cold and nakedness."

But notice, secondly, what the Apostle Paul said in Romans 8:18 concerning our present sufferings . . .

"For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.”

Amen! The born-again Christian, especially those who are serving God have much to look forward to in eternity! Paul set his heart upon Heaven and rejoiced, hoping for the day when he would forever be with the Lord Jesus Christ.

What a day that will be when my Jesus I shall see,
And I look upon His face,
The One who saved me by His grace;
When He takes me by the hand
And leads me through the Promised Land,
What a day, glorious day that will be.

The richest person on earth won't have as much as the poorest saint in Heaven. The happiest person on earth won't be as happy as the saddest saint in Heaven. He that is least in the kingdom of Heaven is greater than the greatest man on earth. Matthew 11:11, “Verily I say unto you, Among them that are born of women there hath not risen a greater than John the Baptist: notwithstanding he that is least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he.” God has many wonderful things planned for the believer in Heaven, especially for those who are soul winners. 1st Corinthians 2:9, “But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.” Daniel 12:3, “And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever.” Amen!

All of our present sufferings in this world cannot be compared to the glory (honour and dignity) which shall be revealed in us through Christ Jesus. Whereas this world hates, curses, despises and rejects us because we are God's children, the Bible promises in Romans 8:17 that we will be glorified with Christ in Heaven. We are joint-heirs together with Jesus Christ. Amen! Romans 8:7, "And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together." We are not worthy of such honor, but God in His wondrous mercy has made us joint-heirs with Jesus by means of His blood sacrifice.

The Apostle Paul, writing under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, assures us that all of our present sufferings cannot be compared to what God has in store for the believer in Heaven. What a day that will be!

You Need GOD'S RIGHTEOUSNESS To Get To Heaven

Matthew 6:33, “But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.” Romans 10:3-4, “For they being ignorant of God's righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God. For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth.” Philippians 3:9, “And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith:”

I cherish those text Bible passages. Dear friend, if you grasp this great Bible truth of God's righteousness, you'll see the Gospel very clearly. All of this theological garbage being taught in bad Bible colleges and churches today about turning away from sins to be saved, and the Devil's lie of Lordship Salvation, is rooted in human self-righteousness! The Word of God is very plain that to get to Heaven you need GOD'S RIGHTEOUSNESS, which is solely by faith in Jesus Christ.

It is a popular false teaching these days, that to be saved you must turn from your sin. This heresy opens up a Pandora's Box of problems. How much sin can a Christian commit and still be “safe” in their salvation? The Bible gives us the answer in Isaiah 64:6, “But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away.” Dear reader, in order to enter into God's Kingdom you must be 100% absolutely perfect! You must be sinless. Even one sin is enough to send you to Hell forever. James 2:10, “For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all.” That is frightening!

So then how can anyone go to Heaven? The answer is Jesus Christ! Dear friend, YOU NEED GOD'S RIGHTOEUSNESS, which is imputed (counted) to a sinner by faith. Philippians 3:9, “And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith:” We are saved by HIS RIGHTEOUSNESS!!! Matthew 6:33, “But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.” Since you and I have no righteousness (no goodness) to offer God, we need HIS RIGHTOEUSNESS!

The following Bible passage indicts the Lordship Salvation crowd. Romans 10:3-4, “For they being ignorant of God's righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God. For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth.” The heretical idea of turning away from sin to be saved is REFORMAITON, and not REPENTANCE. Let's define some theological terms shall we:

• REFORM = to turn away from sin
• PENITANCE = To be sorry for sin
• PENNANCE = To make a mend for sin
• REPENTENACE = a change of mind

None of those things are required to be saved, except to repent. A man simply needs to change his thinking so that he will acknowledge THE TRUTH that he is a guilty sinner (2nd Timothy 2:25; Romans 3:19-20), and BELIEVE the Gospel (1st Corinthians 15:1-4).

In the Holy Bible we see that the Apostle Judas was sorry that he betrayed Jesus. Judas even returned the 30 pieces of silver. Judas tried to mend the evil that he had done. But Judas went and hung himself and went to Hell. This religious man turned from his sin. Judas felt sorry and attempted to right his wrong, but that is not salvation. Judas failed to believe the Gospel, because he had no faith in Jesus. Judas was guilty of Lordship Salvation. Judas was a follower of Christ, having given his life to serve Jesus as one of His very apostles, but Judas never got born-again and went to Hell forever.

The message of this blog article is very clear dear friend—you simply need GOD'S RIGHTOEUSNESS!!! I got saved at age 13. I realized that I was a guilty sinner. I simply placed my trust in the blessed Savior, resting in His sacrifice on the cross as payment for my sins. I placed my trust in the miraculously risen Savior. Salvation is simply accepting what Christ has already done for you on the cross of Calvary. JESUS PAID IT ALL!!!

How To Have The Brightest Future As A Believer

Daniel 12:2-3, “And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt. And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever.”

Daniel 12:3 was Pastor Jack Hyles favorite life's verse. In the priceless photo below you can see Pastor Jack Hyles (1926-2001) and Pastor Lee Roberson (1909-2007) hugging. At the bottom of the photo you'll see their signatures along with each of their life's Bible verses. Pastor Lee Roberson's favorite Scripture passage was Romans 8:28, “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.” ...

And Pastor Jack Hyles' favorite Scripture passage is Daniel 12:3, “And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever.” That is so precious!

Dear reader, the Bible tells us how to have a very bright future. You simply need to become a soulwinner. We know that only God can give the increase. 1st Corinthians 3:3-9, “I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase. So then neither is he that planteth any thing, neither he that watereth; but God that giveth the increase. Now he that planteth and he that watereth are one: and every man shall receive his own reward according to his own labour. For we are labourers together with God: ye are God's husbandry, ye are God's building.” You may plant the seed of truth of the Gospel, and then I may come along later and lead that person to Christ, but the Bible teaches that we will receive an equal award. Why? Because God gives the increase! I don't know about you, but that greatly excites and encourages me! God is going to reward me for the labor I've done to get people saved, even if I didn't have the privilege of leading them to Jesus Christ.

I encourage you friend to become a soulwinner. The lost world is literally dying for the truth of the Gospel. You may be the only Jesus that someone knows. You may be their only source of light (truth). This is what the Bible means in Hebrews 4:14, “Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord:” If you live in open sin and hide your candle for Jesus, other people will not see Christ in you. They will go to Heaven someday if they never see the light of Jesus in you and me! Matthew 5:14, “Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.” Is your light shining dear friend?

One of the most controversial preachers of our generation is Pastor Steven L. Anderson. Now, I don't agree with all his teachings or methods, but I stand with Brother Anderson as one of the greatest soulwinners of this generation. I look beyond Pastor Anderson's faults and I see a sincere man who is passionate about preaching the Gospel and winning souls to Jesus. I won't debate with you over all the reasons why we shouldn't support him, fine. But why not learn all we can from him about soulwinning, since he has proven himself a soulwinner!

I made an entire website dedicated to teaching people about soulwinning. Do you know why they that turn many to righteousness shall shine as the brightness of the stars forever? It is because all the people we lead to Jesus will be forever grateful to us for taking the time to witness the Gospel to them. It is God's imputed righteousness that saves!!! Philippians 3:9, “And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith:”

Oh how beautiful are the feet of soulwinners! Romans 10:15, “And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!” Why does the Bible say “feet” instead of our tongue or mouth? It is because the most eloquent tongue and skilled orator in the world is useless if the feet are too scared or lazy to bring the Gospel to the lost!

1st Corinthians 9:16, “For though I preach the gospel, I have nothing to glory of: for necessity is laid upon me; yea, woe is unto me, if I preach not the gospel!” That “woe” applies to you and me friend, and especially to any paid pastor! I have never received one penny for my online ministry since 2002. Yet the Lord is using my humble labors to win thousands of people to Christ. There are pastors all across America who take home $75,000 a year (that's the average salary of a pastor in the U.S.) and yet never win a soul to Christ!

You cannot win anyone to Christ if you have the Gospel wrong! You cannot preach the truth if you don't have the truth. That excludes over 95% of preachers today!!! Jesus said the way unto life is “narrow” and “few” there be that find it for good reason. The Devil's greatest weapon is to con people into living the Christian life without ever being born-again. The churches today are filled with sincere people, who are living the Christian life as did the people in Matthew 7:21-23, but they will too hear the same horrifying words someone in eternity from Christ: “I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity” (Matthew 7:23b).

Dear friend, you cannot win anyone to Christ until you KNOW that you are saved for sure. I receive many emails from confused people, who have been lied to by preachers, told that they cannot know they are saved until their life has changed. Nowhere in the Bible are we told such nonsense! If you are resting completely in Jesus Christ as your only way to Heaven, resting in His death, burial and resurrection to wash away your sins, then YOU ARE FOREVER SAVED!!!

If you have that confidence dear friend, as I do, then GO TELL THE WORLD how Jesus saved you, so they can be saved too (Matthew 28:19-20). That is all soulwinning is, telling other people how Jesus saved you, so they can also be saved. They that turn many to God's righteousness, which is by faith alone in Jesus Christ, will shine as the brightness of the stars forever! You have God's promise of it in Daniel 12:3.

Bible Proof That Dr. Steve Pettit Is Full Of Crap

Luke 10:20, “Notwithstanding in this rejoice not, that the spirits are subject unto you; but rather rejoice, because your names are written in heaven.”

Respectfully said toward Dr. Pettit (I mean no unkindness, truly), he preaches another gospel. Who is Steve Pettit? Mr. Pettit has been the president of Bob Jones University since 2014. I am writing this blog article because BJU has a tremendous impact upon thousands of churches today, particularly independent Baptist churches, through their thousands of graduates. Right doctrine matters folks! Galatians 1:6-7 warns that there is NOT another Gospel. Galatians 1:6-7, “I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel: Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ.” Sadly, today's Bible colleges and churches are filled with heretics who pervert the Gospel, damning people's souls to Hell.

Read for yourself what Steve Pettit heretically preached on January 26, 2015 at BJU chapel to 2,700 students and faculty:

“You can't just speak about getting saved, and you accepted Christ, and then that's it! There is a justification; There is a sanctification; There's ultimately a glorification, and though there are three parts, they are all part of the whole, and you cannot separate them. In order for you to qualify for the award, you have to get into the race, you have to stay in the race, and you have to finish the race. If you want to win, you have to run to the end; and winning in the Christian life is everything, because if you lose—if you don't finish—you lose everything—you lose your SOUL. And so, the Christian race is the life of faith that begins, is run, and is finished when we cross over into Heaven!” —Dr. Steve Pettit (“What Does It Mean To Run 'The Race'?” - 11:34)

The “award” that Dr. Pettit teaches you must work hard to earn he says is “Heaven itself”:

“We run the race, we cross the finish line, and so what’s the prize? What is the award? Well, there are different viewpoints. Some would have the viewpoint that the awards are crowns in Heaven. But as I read the book of Hebrews and see the whole gist of the book and the flow of the book, I don’t believe its referring to crowns in Heaven. I think it is referring to Heaven itself.” [emphasis added] —Dr. Steve Pettit (“What Does It Mean To Run 'The Race'?” - 22:57)

Dear friend, eternal life is not an award, it is the free gift of God by grace alone (Romans 5:15-18, 6:23; Ephesians 2:8-9). A gift is a take proposition, not a give position. You simply take it by faith. Luke 10:20 teaches us as believers to rejoice that our names are written in Heaven. That means KNOWING that we are 100% saved certain. But according to Dr. Pettit's rotten perverse teachings, you cannot KNOW that you are saved, not until life is over, and you have faithfully run the race to the finish line. How else could we KNOW that we are saved, since we cannot say someone has faithfully run the race until they actually finish? Oh reader, do you see how dangerous and unbiblical Steve Pettit's teachings on salvation are? God knows that I have nothing personal against Mr. Pettit. I met him on Guam in 2014 when he preached at Harvest Baptist Church. Sadly, Pastor Marty Herron is as corrupt and perverse in his theology as Steve Pettit, and neither of these men ought to be allowed to speak behind any pulpit. Titus 1:10-13, “For there are many unruly and vain talkers and deceivers, specially they of the circumcision: Whose mouths must be stopped, who subvert whole houses, teaching things which they ought not, for filthy lucre's sake. This witness is true. Wherefore rebuke them sharply, that they may be sound in the faith;”

It Matters Which Bible You Use - God Only Authored One Book!

Kindly said, Steve Pettit was inspired by demons when he preached their awful heretical sermons, which he has never recanted. In case you don't know, Pettit is buddies with the biggest heretic of our generation, Dr. John F. MacArthur in California. MacArthur is an alumni of BJU, which has consequently crept more tares into the college over the decades. Dr. Bob Jones Sr. (1883-1968) would have run these infidels out of the college!!! Would to God BJU still had some biblical sense today and would fire Steve Pettit and renounce his false teachings. I say that with love, but on the authority of the Word of God.

The fact that Jesus commanded every believer to rejoice that their name is written in Heaven, is biblical proof that Steve Pettit is full of crap! You CAN in fact accept Jesus as your perianal Savior, by believing the GOOD NEWS (Gospel) of His death, burial and resurrection (1st Corinthians 15:1-4), and KNOW that you are immediately, irrevocably and permanently forever saved (John 6:47). Who are you going to believe, Steve Pettit or the King James Bible?
