Hell In The Old Testament

Hell is a major topic in the Word of God. And it should be. The Lord Jesus Christ in the New Testament spends much time warning about hell. Jesus preached about hell more than any other subject. The Old Testament does not overlook the place of hell. The Old Testament contains over 67 direct references to hell. In the King James Bible, the word "hell" occurs 23 times in the New Testament – but 31 times in the Old Testament. The Old Testament includes some of the clearest and most horrifying pictures of hell.

The following scriptures are examples of "hell" in the Old Testament.

Psalm 16:10, "For thou wilt not leave my soul in hell; neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption."

Psalm 55:15, "Let death seize upon them, and let them go down quick into hell: for wickedness is in their dwellings, and among them."

Proverbs 9:18, "But he knoweth not that the dead are there; and that her guests are in the depths of hell."

Ezekiel 31:16-17, "I made the nations to shake at the sound of his fall, when I cast him down to hell with them that descend into the pit: and all the trees of Eden, the choice and best of Lebanon, all that drink water, shall be comforted in the nether parts of the earth. They also went down into hell with him unto them that be slain with the sword; and they that were his arm, that dwelt under his shadow in the midst of the heathen."

Hell is just as real as heaven or the sea. In Psalms 139, David compares hell with heaven and the sea.

Psalm 139:7-9, "Whither shall I go from thy spirit? or whither shall I flee from thy presence? If I ascend up into heaven, thou art there: if I make my bed in hell, behold, thou art there. If I take the wings of the morning, and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea;"

39 times the Old Testament calls hell "the pit." It never uses the plural "pits" or the indefinite "a pit," but always the singular, specific place, "the pit." The wording, "the pit" refers to one particular place.

Isaiah 14 describes the fall of Lucifer. Isaiah 14:15 reveals "the pit" is hell, ". . . thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit."

Isaiah 14:12-15, "How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations! For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north:

I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High. Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit."

Ezekiel 31:16 also confirms "the pit" is hell.

As we can see, the scriptures teach a real place called hell. But the Bible does not stop there. The Lord gives careful details about the place called hell. The precise information the Lord provides dumbfounds many. They refuse to believe the simple Word of God. Many recklessly dig through Greek and Hebrew words searching for a morsel of bread. And like Esau, they sell their birthright, the Word of God (1 Peter 1:23), for one morsel of meat.

Evangelist and radio-preacher, Oliver Greene understands the Bible’s teaching about the place of hell. 

"Hell is a place—not a state of mind; and the terms used in the Bible to describe hell prove this statement beyond any shadow of doubt." (Greene, Oliver B. Hell, 1973, The Gospel Hour: Greenville p. 25)

There Are No Toll Booths To Get To Heaven

1st Corinthians 1:21, “For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe.”

God promised to SAVE THEM THAT BELIEVE!!! If you drive a vehicle, then you know the unpleasant feeling of being required to pay a toll to travel a road. I couldn't believe that in some places, like New Jersey and New York, that drivers are required to pay upwards of $50 just to pass through a toll gate. In fact, the Pennsylvania Turnpike will cost you a staggering $112 toll to drive on it. Wowza! The turnpike is owned by over 100 investors, mostly from China. Go figure! I don't think anyone should ever have to pay a toll. The government already takes too much in taxes. Thankfully, there won't be any taxes in Heaven.

I admit that I dislike paying tolls. Very few things in this earthly life are free. That is the wonderful thing about salvation, it is a completely free gift from God. Romans 6:23, “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” Eternal life is a gift. A gift is free! Why then did Evangelist Billy Graham (1918-2018) make the following horrible unbiblical statements, 6 times saying that salvation will “COST” us something?...

How To Be Sure You're Saved

First, you must recognize your need.

Second, you must understand the cross.

Third, you must count the cost.

He also said, “Which of you, intending to build a tower, does not sit down first and count the cost? … So likewise, whoever of you does not forsake all that he has cannot be My disciple” (Luke 14:28, 33).

Many people come to Christ without first counting the cost. The cost includes repentance, the forsaking of sin, and a continual, daily, open acknowledgment of Christ in your life.

Fourth, you must take a definite step.

One day at Stanford University, a student of a non-Christian faith came to me and said he was convinced that Jesus is the Son of God but said he couldn’t confess Him publicly. He said that back in his own country the cost socially would be too great.

I had to tell him that the Bible says: “Whoever confesses Me before men, him I will also confess before My Father who is in heaven. But whoever denies Me before men, him I will also deny before My Father who is in heaven” (Matthew 10:32-33).

Like the rich young ruler of old, the student went away sad. He had counted the cost and was not able to pay the price of open acknowledgment of Jesus Christ as his Savior.

We ask people to make a public confession of Christ in our meetings because Christ demanded a definite commitment. Christ had reasons for demanding that people openly follow Him. He knew that an unwitnessed vow is no vow at all. Until you have surrendered to Christ by a definite act of your will, you are not a Christian.

Dear reader, kindly said, Billy Graham was a false teacher, who perverted God's grace by adding to God's Words. Nowhere in the inspired King James Bible are we taught that eternal life will COST US anything. Jesus Christ came to save us from our sins (Romans 5:6-9). JESUS PAID IT ALL (1st John 2:2; John 3:16; 2nd Corinthians 5:21). Getting saved will cost you NOTHING friend. Anybody who says differently is complicating the Gospel.

In hundreds of places throughout the inspired King James Bible we are taught to simply BELIEVE on the Lord Jesus Christ to be saved. John 6:47, “Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me hath everlasting life.” In the precious Gospel of John, we find the word “believe” mentioned 85 times, but no mention is ever made of anything else. God intentionally made His plan of salvation for mankind very simple, because He knew that many people are not very smart, and God wanted to make sure that salvation is easy, free and simple so that everyone who wants it can have it. Our all-wise (omnisapient) God knows what He is doing.

Sadly, men come along and always complicate everything, making God's simple plan of salvation hard. As a matter of fact, Pastor John MacArthur even wrote a shameful book titled: “Hard To Believe.” Dear friend, it is not HARD to believe, it is very easy, free and simple.

“Don’t believe anyone who says it’s easy to become a Christian. Salvation for sinners cost God His own Son; it cost God’s Son His life, and it’ll cost you the same thing.” [emphasis added] —Dr. John MacArthur, Grace To You, an updated quote from his book 'Hard To Believe', page 93.

I triple-dog dare you to show me in the Bible where it says that eternal life will COST YOU anything. You cannot! These wicked men are theological liars. Sadly, Billy Graham went to Hell in his false religion. There is no way that a man is saved who is wrong on the Gospel. If Billy Graham went to Heaven, then so also do Seventh-Day Adventists who trust in the heresy of Lordship Salvation. Then so also do Church of Christ with their damnable Baptismal Regeneration (i.e., the false teaching that you must be water baptized to get to Heaven). I mean, 'com on, would God deny someone entrance into Heaven just because they got dunked in water, thinking it was necessary to have eternal life? Friend, you had better believe that God won't let you into Heaven!!!

There is only ONE WAY into Heaven, and Jesus told us what it is, HIM. John 14:6, “ Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” John 6:40, “And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day.” I am now attending the Campus Church in Pensacola, at Pensacola Christian College, and am so thankful that they preach a simple free grace Gospel. I am so thankful that they only use the King James Bible. I am so thankful to be a part of a great soulwinning church. I am humble and grateful for my new Christian family.

I got the idea for this article while checking today to see if there is a toll to drive to Pensacola Beach. I want to go check it out. Yes, there is a $1 toll. I need to soak up some sun. This hotel room is gloomy. Because I am a fundamentalist Baptist preacher I am always looking for new ideas to convey Bible truths to people. I think the example of having to pay a toll is a perfect illustration of Lordship Salvation, showing us what the Gospel is not! God does NOT require that we pay a toll to get to Heaven. The Pearly City cannot be purchased, deserved, earned, merited or obtained by any means other than wholly RESTING (trusting, relying) in Jesus Christ. I care about you, whoever you may be, and I want you to go to Heaven someday.

The Bible is abundantly clear that the ONLY WAY to eternal life is by faith in Jesus. 1st John 5:20, “And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life.” I love that! Jesus is the true God and eternal life. If you have Jesus you have eternal life!!! There are no toll gates to get to Heaven. There is no cost to count, nor price to pay. There are no works that you must do. In fact, Jesus forever laid to rest the question of what “WORKS” are required to get to Heaven. John 6:28-29, “Then said they unto him, What shall we do, that we might work the works of God? Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent.” The only WORKS which God requires or allows to get to Heaven is to BELIEVE ON JESUS!!!

I hope that I have made it clear from the Word of God that there is no toll booth to enter into the Kingdom of God. Jesus has already paid the price for our sins, all of them (1st Peter 1:18-19). Please don't allow some satanic false teacher to rob your faith. If you admit that you are a sinner (Romans 3:19-23), leaning wholly on Jesus' name (Acts 16:30-31), by believing the Good News (Gospel) that Christ died on the cross for your sins, was buried, and resurrected three days later, then you are saved (1st Corinthians 15:1-4).

Please don't let heretics' Marty Herron, Steve Pettit, John MacArthur, Billy Graham or any other false teachers deceive you into believing that you must repent “OF YOUR SIN” to be saved, because no such requirement is taught in the Bible. If you press them to explain what they mean by “repent,” they will all tell you that you must prove the reality of your faith by forsaking a sinful life and being faithful to serve God. That is NOT the Gospel, it is a toll booth!!! All they can do is wrest Scripture passages and quote heretical men as secondary authorities to bolster their counterfeit plan of salvation. Look at this garbage that Ray Comfort preaches. Ladies and gentlemen, that is NOT what the Bible teaches, as I have kindly shown you.

What Billy Graham preached is NOT the Gospel of free grace. What John MacArthur is preaching is NOT the Gospel of free grace. What the shameful Bob Jones University crowd are preaching today is NOT the free grace Gospel. God does not require that you turn away from your sinning to be saved, for to do so is equivalent to a toll booth. God does require that you repent, but repentance is simply a change of mind; that is, laying aside your wrong thinking about what you think you must do to be saved, to trusting in what God says in the Bible you must do to be saved—which is “believe on the Lord Jesus Christ” (Acts 16:30-31). Thank you for reading my blog. God Desires To Be Close To You

James 4:8-10, “Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded. Be afflicted, and mourn, and weep: let your laughter be turned to mourning, and your joy to heaviness. Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up.” 

God is broken hearted over the wickedness in society today. God has a burden to see people get saved (2nd Peter 3:9). If we take the Lord's yoke upon us, and help Him win souls by sharing the Gospel with the lost, nothing pleases God more. Psalm 11:7, “For the righteous LORD loveth righteousness; his countenance doth behold the upright.” God is a righteous God Who loves righteousness!

The only true righteousness we have as Christians is the imputed righteousness of God through faith alone in Christ (Philippians 3:9). But once born-again by God's righteousness, He wants us to walk by faith, allowing Jesus to live through us (Galatians 2:20). I am not living the Christian life in my own strength, but Christ liveth in me. Galatians 2:20, “I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.”

The world is the enemy of God. What is the world? It is that mass of humanity which through unbelief have alienated themselves from God, choosing rather to live in the pleasures of sin for a season, and are therefore hostile toward the cause of Jesus Christ (Romans 3:20). James 4:4, “Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God.” 

A popular thing for heathens to do, who want to superficially appear to be religious, join the apostate Anglican church (of whom Ringo from The Beatles and Ozzy Osbourne are members). This is the Devil's church, requiring water baptism for salvation. Of course, as we know from the Scriptures, water baptism is merely one's public profession of faith, and is not required nor allowed in salvation. A man is saved by faith alone (Galatians 3:26).

God wants to be close to you dear reader. Micah 6:8, “He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the LORD require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?” God wants you dear friend to walk humbly with Him. Volumes of books could be written just on what it means to be humble. These Devil's ministers today, like Steve Pettit, Marty Herron, Gary Walton, Sam Horn, John MacArthur, Charles Phelps, Ray Comfort and Paul Washer, have not humbled themselves to THE TRUTH. For if they did they wouldn't teach people to try to stop sinning to be saved.

Romans Chapter 2 Proves Lordship Salvation Is A Devil's Lie

I try to listen to Alexander Scourby read a portion of the Bible each day. I feel like a battery absorbing energy when I listen to the Bible. I am listening to the book of Romans right now. I just heard Romans 1:1, “Therefore thou art inexcusable, O man, whosoever thou art that judgest: for wherein thou judgest another, thou condemnest thyself; for thou that judgest doest the same things.” Many Bible students don't understand this Bible verse, but it is very simple. You have to read the whole chapter, Romans chapter 2, to rightly divide this passage. The Jews were trying to earn their way to Heaven by keeping the Old Testament law. Paul is frustrated with them, trying to teach them here that they are hypocrites for even trying to turn from sin, because they cannot...

Romans 2:21-24, “Thou therefore which teachest another, teachest thou not thyself? thou that preachest a man should not steal, dost thou steal? Thou that sayest a man should not commit adultery, dost thou commit adultery? thou that abhorrest idols, dost thou commit sacrilege? Thou that makest thy boast of the law, through breaking the law dishonourest thou God? For the name of God is blasphemed among the Gentiles through you, as it is written.”

Are you listening Marty Herron? You haven't turned from your sins. What you've done to abuse me since 2014 is proof enough of that fact! I still don't attend church, because Pastor Herron threw me under a bus and left me for dead. So now Harvest Baptist Church of Guam is sinfully holding a grudge against me, because I loved them enough to tell THE TRUTH to help them. Run you Bob Jones heathens with your umpteen Devil's Bible revisions! I'll side with Pastor Jack Hyles and the inspired and infallible King James Bible...

So if you want to be close to God, then you must humble yourself to THE TRUTH. Use only the King James Bible. Be pure of heart! You cannot draw close to God through corruptible seed. The English Standard Version (ESV) is corruptible seed, which BJU uses, sells and promotes. Shame on Bob Jones University!!! God desires to be close to you friend, but you must first embrace the truth of the Gospel of free grace. We are saved by faith alone, without works of any sort. Your best human effort and goodness is filth to God (Isaiah 64:6). 

The Lordship Salvation crowd go around telling everyone to “repent and turn away from your sin to be saved,” but the Bible says in Romans chapter 2 that they are hypocrites. NO ONE has eve turned away from their sin. No one tries to live as upright as Muslims, yet they are all hellbound without Jesus Christ. If forsaking a lifestyle of sin brings salvation, then Judas should have been saved (Matthew 27:3). Judas even returned the 30 pieces of silver, knowing that he had betrayed innocent blood. The Pharisees couldn't have cared less. 

Judas was a reformed man, he turned from his sins, but he went to Hell forever. Judas was one of Christ's very apostles, as close in a relationship as two people can become, yet they were light years apart. My point is that you can go to church every Sunday like Marty Herron, and go through all the motions, even thinking you are close to God; and yet be so far away from God that Christ Himself will one day say the horrifying words to you: “I NEVER KNEW YOU” (Matthew 7:21-23). These people in Matthew 7:21-23 did many wonderful works and preached in Jesus' name. Yet Jesus denied knowing them. They failed to wholly rest in Christ, Who died as a sacrifice for their sins on the cross (John 6:40). Only those who completely REST in the name of Jesus will go to Heaven, and no one else!!!

The very idea that a person must forsake sinful living to be saved is rooted in self-righteousness. Pastor Herron, Gary Walton, Steve Pettit and Charles Phelps are looking inside themselves for righteousness, instead of wholly leaning on Jesus' name. You DON'T have to turn from anything to be saved except whatever has been hindering you from believing, which is UNBELIEF. To require a man to forsake his immoral behavior as a requirement to receive God's free gift of eternal life is to damn his soul to Hell forever.

Please understand that I do not write these articles to attack anyone, but to contend (fight) for the Christian faith (Titus 1:10-11;Ephesians 5:11; Jude 1:3). When men hurt me, deny me the opportunity to attend church, hinder me from finding a wife, and drive me away from my church family as an unwanted pest, simply because I told THE TRUTH to help them, then I am most definitely going to preach against their wickedness! Something is wrong with Pastor Gary Walton. Something is wrong with the people at Harvest Baptist Church of Guam, when they permit Seventh-Day Adventist beliefs into their church. The truth matters folks, it really does! God desires to be close to you, but it must be on the basis of THE TRUTH. John 4:24, “God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.”

The Damaging Consequences Of The Sinful Hookup Culture

Hebrews 13:4, “Marriage is honourable in all, and the bed undefiled: but whoremongers and adulterers God will judge.” Colossians 3:5-7, “Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry: For which things' sake the wrath of God cometh on the children of disobedience: In the which ye also walked some time, when ye lived in them.”

I love people, because as a child of God I have God's unconditional love shed abroad in my soul by the indwelling Holy Spirit of God. I love you dear reader, whoever you may be. The following disturbing information appeared in a February 2013 article published by the American Psychological Association (APA) titled, 'Sexual Hook-up Culture':

The Devil is a beautiful liar! The Devil always pays with counterfeit money. Sin will always cost you more than you wanted to pay, take you farther than you intended to go, and keep you longer than you planned to stay. I know personally of dozens of young Christian women who fornicated before getting legally married. I cannot think of even one case in which the young male married the girl he took advantage of. NOT ONE! Young ladies, the only way to protect yourself and prevent becoming a victim is to get legally married before you have carnal relations. It is as simple as that. A promise by your boyfriend to marry you means nothing. Males will say anything to steal your innocence. I assure you they will hit it and quit it!

When The Beatles' John Lennon learned that his girlfriend was pregnant, he immediately married her legally. I respect that. That was how it was back then. Men knew when to step up to plate and be a man. It was wrong to fornicate, but John did the right thing in the end. I can respect that. But when a man beds a young woman, and then ditches her, he belongs in prison! If I had my way, any male who slept with a woman would by law be married to her. No exceptions! I love it that in the Philippines there are no divorce courts! Once married, always married. That is how God intended it to be (Matthew 19:8). Marriage is at an all-time low in America today because of our sinful hook-up culture. The Satanic controlled media has promoted this type of immoral behavior. The Devil knows that the best way to destroy a person's life is to ensnare them at the earliest age possible into a deathstyle of immorality.

America today is infamous worldwide for our culture of fornication (aka, our HOOKUP culture). One of my favorite YouTube channels is 'The Better Bachelor' by a man who goes by the nickname “Joker.” Unfortunately, Joker is an unsaved immoral man who openly promotes whoremongering. I love his YouTube channel because he is 99% correct about women's horrible attitudes toward marriage and men. Yet, I cannot agree with his whoremongering around the world. Joker speaks of having casual intimate relationships with women in Asia and elsewhere. In his mind it is acceptable, just so long as two people agree to the terms of their relationship upfront. That is the same dark morality of Anton LaVey, founder of the Church of Satan. That is the same wicked philosophy of Satanist Aleister Crowley: “DO AS THIOU WILT SHALL BE THE WHOLE OF THE LAW.”

Much of what Joker says is true and I like watching his videos. He has 304,000 subscribers, about 10% of whom are women. I like Joker's videos and can relate to his bachelor's lifestyle. However, I must refute 'The Better Bachelor' on YouTube publicly, because he is propagating the very sinful idea that it is okay to live as a whore or whoremonger, just so long as you are upfront with others. Nothing could be further from the truth. Hebrews 13:4, “Marriage is honourable in all, and the bed undefiled: but whoremongers and adulterers God will judge.” Being a bachelor is perfectly acceptable, but to continue to have sexual relations with people outside of a binding marriage commitment is a very sinful lifestyle which brings the judgment of God (Colossians 3:5-6; Romans 1:24-32).

Please understand that I am not condemning anyone. I am the biggest sinner I know, because I live with myself. You are a horrible sinner too, whether you realize it or not. The closer to God you draw, the worse of a sinner you will feel like, as you see God in His holiness through abiding in the Holy Scriptures and the presence of the indwelling Holy Spirit.

Single Parent Living Arrangements Are A Curse Upon Society

In a disturbing ABC News article titled, 'Single Moms Struggle To Find Mr. Right,' we learn that there are 10,400,000 single women in the United States; 44% are divorced or separated; 33% have never been married; 22% are married. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, 75% of the violent U.S. prison population came from a single parent household. So why does Hollywood and the music industry continue to propagate and glorify single motherhood? Why does the mainstream media keep glamorize single motherhood when they know it is harming society? The left has so much blood on their hands it is insane!

Good job all you irresponsible hook-up females and males!!! This is the consequence of Satanic social engineering. God didn't intend for you to have children out of wedlock. Raising children is a big responsibility which God intended two people to share, not a single parent. All you females having children out of wedlock made your own sin and did this to yourself! I am not blaming women more than men, both are equally guilty. Hugh Hefner pioneered the Satanic Playboy philosophy (since 1953) that has utterly destroyed America's marriages and families, for generations to come. I wouldn't want to be in Hugh Hefner's fate in Hell. That is so sad and tragic. God has no pleasure in the death of the wicked. Our great God grieves when a wicked person dies and perishes into Hell. That shows the great loving heart of our God.

Abortion Is First Degree Murder!

Dear friend, God made you! God made your body from the dust of the earth in your mother's womb, and then gave a living spirit to your lifeless body. Jeremiah 1:5, “Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.” God forms babies in the belly! Ungodly abortion doctors are first-degree murderers!!! They are killing a life that God is in the process of forming. That is what we just read about the prophet Jeremiah. God formed Jeremiah in his mother's womb, and knew him before he was even conceived. Abortion is murder!!! 

God is not happy when a living being that He made, and knew from even before conception, chooses to reject God's free gift. God is faithful dear friend. 2nd Timothy 2:12-13, “If we suffer, we shall also reign with him: if we deny him, he also will deny us: If we believe not, yet he abideth faithful: he cannot deny himself.” If you go to Hell someday, you will have no one to blame except yourself. God wants you to be saved and go to Heaven. 2nd Peter 3:9, “The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.” If you ever hear a preacher teach that God hates homosexuals, they are lying. 

God loves everyone, otherwise He would have to hate everyone. To say that God hates someone is a sinful profession of self-righteousness! Since you feel that you're more pleasing to God than another person whom you perceive as being a worse sinner, you feel more superior and entitled to God's love. My friend, the only thing that makes you or me as believers any more pleasing to God than the vilest criminal on earth, is the precious blood of Jesus that He shed on the cross to pay for our sins. My righteousness is only Jesus!!! That is why I love everyone, including defiant homosexuals, because I am not worthy of God's love. If God's love for me were determined by anything I could ever say or do, then how shallow would that be. The Bible says CHRIST DIED FOR THE UNGODLY (Romans 5:6-9).

Like Lucifer, We Have “I” Problems

I kindly wrote this blog to preach against the Devil's hook-up culture, which is plaguing America today. As I showed you earlier, 33% of single Mom's with children have never been married. Another 44% of single women are divorced. That is shocking. Proverb 13:10, “Only by pride cometh contention: but with the well advised is wisdom.” The Bible says that ONLY BY PRIDE comes the contention that causes divorce. We have a sinful pride problem in the United States!!! We simply cannot get along in our homes. Have you ever heard that Satan has “i” problems? That is correct. ...

Isaiah 14:14, “I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High.”

Lucifer had some serious issues with himself, “i” problems. That is our big problem too, when our ego gets in the way of making restitution, and we insist that our demands be met, or else we'll take some negative action. These type of threats, ultimatums, and a victim's attitude are telltale signs that a marriage is about to fail. Someone's got to give in, humble them self, and be willing to make peace. It takes two to tango! A spouse may leave anyway, no matter how nice you are or reasonable. 

The hook-up culture should be illegal. Since children are the one's who always end up the victims of a single parent living arrangement, the immoral behavior of irresponsible youth must be dealt with by the government. The government could easily teach courtship in public schools. In fact, they should be preparing young people to become mothers and fathers, with the goal of marriage once they finish high school. The government could do much to properly teach youth. But ungodly lawyers prevent good things from happening. 

Someone always wants to sue and stop anything Christian, good, right or moral from existing in public schools. In any attempt to protect children from God, they have handed them over to the Devil for destruction. We could have a such a wonderful and happy society today, if lawyers and the high U.S. Supreme Court weren't doing everything in their power to prevent it from happening. Tell me that's not the Devil. Sure it is.

What Is The Unpardonable Sin Against The Holy Spirit?

Mark 3:28-30, “Verily I say unto you, All sins shall be forgiven unto the sons of men, and blasphemies wherewith soever they shall blaspheme: But he that shall blaspheme against the Holy Ghost hath never forgiveness, but is in danger of eternal damnation: Because they said, He hath an unclean spirit.”

The Holy Spirit is the One Who convicts the world of sin, righteousness and coming judgment:

John 16:7-11, “Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you. And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment: Of sin, because they believe not on me; Of righteousness, because I go to my Father, and ye see me no more; Of judgment, because the prince of this world is judged.”

Jesus said when resurrected that He would draw all men to Himself:

​John 12:32: “And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me.”

This proves Calvinism a fraud! Calvinism says God only chooses some people to be saved, but not others. The Bible says Christ draws "ALL MEN" to salvation. Not all men listen. Jesus said "ye will not come," He didn't say "ye cannot come." John 5:40, “And ye will not come to me, that ye might have life.”

Since it is the Holy Spirit of Christ that draws all men to Him, when a person blasphemes (rejects) the Holy Spirit, they are burning their one opportunity to get saved. The man Jesus speaks to the world OUTWARDLY, but the Holy Spirit speaks to the world INWARDLY. A person may openly reject Christ in the eyes of the public, but it's what you do in the privacy of your home with the Holy Spirit that matters. 

For example: Many of the chief rulers BELIEVED in Jesus in their heart (John 12:42), but publicly it appeared as if they didn't accept Him (John 12:43). They didn't want to lose their jobs! The Bible says they loved the praise of men more than the praise of God. Obviously they did not follow Christ as “Lord” at this time, still ashamed to identify with Him publicly, but they were nevertheless born-again believers by faith alone. John 12:42-43, “Nevertheless among the chief rulers also many believed on him; but because of the Pharisees they did not confess him, lest they should be put out of the synagogue: For they loved the praise of men more than the praise of God.”

The only unpardonable sin that an unsaved person can commit is to reject Jesus as one's Savior. For the saved person (i.e., a believer) it is IMPOSSIBLE to commit any sin that could cause them to ever lose God's promise of salvation. There is much misunderstanding in the churches today, and also the 'Salvation Army,' concerning salvation. The Salvation Army in their official Statement of Faith foolishly teaches:

“We believe that continuance in a state of salvation depends upon continued obedient faith in Christ.”

The Salvation Army follows the Calvinist heresy of their founders, William and Catherine Booth, who considered salvation to be a “state” that could be lost if one failed to continue in obedient faith. May I say kindly that salvation is NOT a “state,” it is a new birth. It is a second birth, a spiritual birth (1st Peter 1:23). The teaching that salvation is a “state” which is conditional upon “continued obedient faith” is demonic works-salvation. This is Calvinist false doctrine!!!

Our salvation depends solely upon Jesus Christ—because of His death on the cross to pay our debt of sin, His burial and bodily resurrection from the dead 72 hours later. Jesus raised up as our High Priest (Romans 8:34; Hebrews 4:14-16). Jesus ascended into Heaven and sprinkled His precious blood upon the heavenly Mercy Seat, just as the Old Testament high priest sprinkled the lamb's blood on the mercy seat within the holy of holies each year (Hebrews 9:12, 22-24; 12:24). Beware of the bloodless theology which has crept into many churches. 1st Peter 1:18-19b, “Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers; But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot.” We are saved by the precious blood of Jesus in Heaven! 

Once saved, always saved! You don't enter into a state of salvation, but then leave that state later on because of sin and unbelief. Dear friend, you are either saved today and always will be, or you aren't saved today and you never were! No one has ever lost God's salvation, which is by faith. The new birth is irreversible! The Bible teaches in Ephesians 1:12-15 that a person is 'sealed' with God's Holy Spirit the moment they get saved. Thus, I agree with Pastor Harry Ironside in the perseverance of the Holy Spirit! Some liars have tried to make Pastor Ironside into a Calvinist for making that statement in his book 'Except Ye Repent.' No, Dr. Ironside simply believed what the Bible says, “that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:” Philippians 1:6b). This is not Calvinism, which errantly says a believer will persevere in holiness and service to Christ!

Envy Not The Neo-Evangelical 'Workers Of Iniquity'

Matthew 7:21-23, “Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.”

I was thinking about something a few minutes ago. I went to get Domino's pizza last night. As I was leaving I saw my Harvest Baptist Church of Guam (staff members) neighbours having a small get together. As I always do I heartily waved at them, as they returned dead cold hard stares at me (if looks could kill I'd be dead). I felt envious, left out of their fun events. I live alone and have no one. It hurts to see them fellowshipping and I am alone. They fully know it, because I have written about it before. But the Lord sees what they are doing, and have done to me all these many years since 2014, ostracizing me. I am fully convinced that they won't be going to Heaven someday, because of their Lordship Salvation heresy. But if they do go to Heaven, I hope the Lord turns His back on them, ignores them, and ostracizes them as they have cruelly done to me all these many years. Proverb 12:17, “He that speaketh truth sheweth forth righteousness: but a false witness deceit.” Harvest's pastors all have blood on their hands, workers of deceit. I have shown forth righteousness by telling THE TRUTH.

I simply TOLD THE TRUTH that the modern Westcott and Hort Bibles are corrupt. I simply TOLD THE TRUTH that repentance in the Bible for salvation doesn't mean turning away from sinful behavior. I simply TOLD THE TRUTH that Lordship Salvation is a gross perversion of God's grace, and does not produce the new birth. For doing the right thing I have been left out of their reindeer games. My bright shiny King James Bible nose is too much for them to handle, so they won't invite me even to church. What hurts most is the reason why they ostracize and hate me, because I told THE TRUTH to try to help them in 2014, and since.

I feel envy at times because I am unwelcomed at Harvest, but then I found this Bible verse. The Bible says not to envy sinners. Psalm 37:1, "Fret not thyself because of evildoers, neither be thou envious against the workers of iniquity." Interestingly, that is exactly what Jesus called the Lordship Salvation crowd in Matthew 7:21-23, "workers of iniquity." The Bob Jones crowd are "workers of iniquity," with their "Lord, Lord" scam religion; saying, have we not done "many wonderful works" IN THY NAME? 

Have we not "prophesied" (preached) IN THY NAME, oh Lord, Lord? Jesus denied even knowing them!!! The Bible says not to fret myself because of such evildoers, nor be envious against such workers of iniquity. The Bob Jones University crowd are workers of iniquity. The Bible says I ought not envy them, for their day of reckoning is soon coming. As you said Curtis, eternal damnation is just a breath of life away for all those who trust in another gospel.

The pastors of Harvest are criminals in God's sight. They make light of the accuracy of the Holy Bible, promoting corruptible seed to unsuspecting people. The island people are very trusting, believing everything that their pastors tell them. That makes Harvest's pastors much more accountable to God. Romans 3:4, “God forbid: yea, let God be true, but every man a liar; as it is written, That thou mightest be justified in thy sayings, and mightest overcome when thou art judged.” The King James Bible is on my side, because I have not added or changed what God said. Harvest are going along with the Devil's crowd who have changed the Bible. Instead of preaching a free grace Gospel, the Bob Jones University crowd today are preaching that MORE is necessary to get to Heaven.

According to theological liar and madman Dr. Steve Pettit, you must be faithful to start, run and finish “RUNNING THE RACE.” His exact words are that you MUST “qualify” for the “award” of “Heaven itself.” These are words of works, not grace. Literally, the ungodly congregation of Harvest Baptist Church on Guam sympathize with their heretical pastors, as if they are victims for being rebuked for preaching the Devil's lie of Lordship Salvation. Dear friend, any pastor who preaches Lordship Salvation is not a victim, he is a CRIMINAL!!!

It is inherent human nature that we follow the leader. Humanity loves and needs its mentors and heroes. We all look up to somebody. The former horrible pastors of Harvest berated me for looking up to Pastor Jack Hyles (1926-2001) as my hero of the Christian faith. They said Jack Hyles is dead, and so also should his doctrine be dead with him. We are at war in fundamentalism. This is not a flower show. This is not a banquet. This is not a slumber party. This is WAR! What saith the Scripture? 2nd Timothy 2:3-4, “Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ. No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of this life; that he may please him who hath chosen him to be a soldier.” A pastor is a soldier. A layman preacher is a soldier. A man of God is a soldier. 

The problem with most churches today is that we treat the ministry like it is an entertainment fun center. Sadly, people won't go to church anymore unless it is fun. That is why Pastor Steven Furtick of The Elevation Church in Charlotte, North Carolina draws a crowd of 8,000 apostates every Sunday. They literally are welcomed to bring their dogs, cats, birds and p[et lizards. Anything goes! Furtick comes out with his electric guitar, jamming 'I Love Rock N Roll' by Joan Jett. Anybody with any spiritual discernment at all knows this is a big farce! This is not a New Testament church that honors the Lord Jesus Christ. The world has no place in the church, nor the church in the heathen world. James 4:4, “Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God.”

Harvest Baptist Church of Guam is a bad joke. Their pastors fail to take Christianity seriously. The teach manmade doctrines, from manmade Bibles, laboring in the power of men, and not the Holy Spirit of God or truth. God has given me the task of calling them out! I attended HBC for one year in 2013-2014. There never was a man who loved their church more than I did. I gave lots of money. I gave my soul and love to all of them. But along with that I also gave my most prized possession, the truth which God taught me. Genesis 32:10, “I am not worthy of the least of all the mercies, and of all the truth, which thou hast shewed unto thy servant; for with my staff I passed over this Jordan; and now I am become two bands.”

I learned a long time ago that there is a direct correlation between being humble and accepting THE TRUTH. No wonder God hates arrogancy and the froward mouth that preaches lies. Proverb 8:13, “The fear of the LORD is to hate evil: pride, and arrogancy, and the evil way, and the froward mouth, do I hate.” I don't hate the Bob Jones University crowd, I hate their arrogancy. I don't hate the Moody Bible Institute crowd. I hate what God hates, their froward tongue that preaches the lies of Calvinism. I have earned a reputation online for being rude as a preacher. What saith the Scripture? 2nd Corinthians 11:6, “But though I be rude in speech, yet not in knowledge; but we have been throughly made manifest among you in all things.” The apostle Paul was rude too!

The Bob Jones crowd have a serious problem, they really do. The Harvest Baptist Church of Guam have a serious problem. The prophet Elijah was frustrated that the people wouldn't take sides between the Lord and Baal. They were half in and half out, like BJU and HBC. Harvest uses multiple different Bible versions. They promote a variety of preachers, who adhere to multiple plans of salvation. 1st Kings18:21, “And Elijah came unto all the people, and said, How long halt ye between two opinions? if the LORD be God, follow him: but if Baal, then follow him.  And the people answered him not a word.” That sounds like Harvest Baptist Church of Guam, silent all the time. They don't care about truth. They don't care which Bible is right. They don't care about hurting people like me. I have literally begged to please attend church services, but their arrogant pastors point fingers, refusing to step up to plate, and contact me (as I did them 3 times to no avail). Something is very wrong at Harvest.

The Lord continually comforts my heart, reassuring me that Harvest is doing me a favor by not allowing me to come back, lest they corrupt my faith too. The truth is that Harvest's incompetent pastors KNOW that I am right. They know they've dropped the ball for God. They know that they have shamed the ministry and hurt many people, but they are making big bucks! That is why Jesus warned in Luke 16:13 that NO MAN can serve God and mammon (a a career). Luke 16:13, “No servant can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.”

The Bob Jones crowd are God's enemies! They preach a false gospel of Lordship Salvation. They have perverted the meaning of repentance, requiring people to turn away from their sinful lifestyle to receive God's free gift. I will never shut up! Somebody needs to make a fuss! People are dying in their sins and going to Hell forever. BJU is a corrupt institution today. Steve Pettit is an unsaved false prophet, a Calvinist, who arrogantly doesn't care about THE TRUTH. Pettit is a hardcore supporter of Dr. John MacArthur. I am surprised that more Baptist preachers don't expose and preach against Bob Jones University. That is why they stay the way they are, because no one cares anymore. Mark Twain was so right, “What one generation tolerates the next generation will embrace.” Churches everywhere today are embracing the Devil's false Bible, embracing the Devil's lie of Lordship Salvation, and embracing the Devil's lie that you must “repent and turn away from your sin” to be saved. Liar, liar, pants on fire!

The Bible encourages me and you not to envy the Neo-evangelical crowd. Their churches look fun. They have lots of fun activities. They are fun people to be around. But you'll get food poisoning being around them, because Jesus calls them “WORKERS OF INIQUITY” (Matthew 7:21-23). 

Exposing False Teachers Is Necessary To Defend The Gospel

Titus 1:10-14, “For there are many unruly and vain talkers and deceivers, specially they of the circumcision: Whose mouths must be stopped, who subvert whole houses, teaching things which they ought not, for filthy lucre's sake. One of themselves, even a prophet of their own, said, The Cretians are alway liars, evil beasts, slow bellies. This witness is true. Wherefore rebuke them sharply, that they may be sound in the faith; Not giving heed to Jewish fables, and commandments of men, that turn from the truth.” 1st Corinthians 11:19, “For there must be also heresies among you, that they which are approved may be made manifest among you.”

The Bible commands us as born-again believers to take a stand against heresy. The word “heresy” simply means any opinion that disagrees with the inspired Holy Bible. There is no controversy if you believe the Bible. God's Word stands! The Bible teaches in one of our text passages that WE NEED HERESY, so that doctrinally sound Bible teachers can be made known. Heresy is far more deadly than the COIVD-19 virus, which can send you to Hell forever if you die in your sins without Jesus as your Savior (John 8:24; Revelation 20:15). 

I received an e-mail recently from a sincere 73 year old man. He rebuked me, saying that I should just preach the Bible and not fight against my brothers in the Lord. Kindly, that man is woefully ignorant. The Bible says in 1st Corinthians 11:19 that we need heresies, as a canvas against which true Bible preachers can proclaim THE TRUTH. By exposing the corrupt Bob Jones University (BJU) crowd and their Devil's lie of Lordship Salvation, I am able to lead people to Christ. I've often said that we cannot get anyone saved until we first get them lost. 

Tragically, millions of churchgoers and Bible college students have been lied to by false teachers like Dr. Steve Pettit (president of BJU), told that they cannot merely say they've accepted Christ and that's it. In addition, Steve Pettit errantly teaches that you must start, faithfully run, and finish the race (living the Christian life) or else you won't go to Heaven. There are not two different Gospels friend. There are not variations of the Gospel of free grace. The Bible says that you simply come to God as a needy sinner, resting in the finished work of Jesus Christ Who died on the cross for our sins, was buried and miraculously raised up bodily three days later. This is THE GOSPEL by which we are saved if we believe it (1st Corinthians 15:1-4). Nothing more is required or allowed to receive eternal life.

In sharp contrast, false teachers like Pastor John MacArthur teach that you must forsake a sinful lifestyle, count the cost and pay the price, exchange your life for Christ's life, commit your entire personality to Christ as Lord to follow Him no matter what the cost. That is NOT the Gospel, not even in the ballpark! Another big time heretic is Pastor Marty Herron, who says that it's not enough to admit that you are a sinner, you must also turn away from a lifestyle of sin to be saved. I heard him say it at Harvest Baptist Church on Guam in 2014 with my very own two ears, in front on hundreds of church members on a Sunday morning. God's curse is upon that wicked false teacher (Galatians 1:6-9). 

Evangelist Ray Comfort is another bad apple, who requires that you LIVE A LIFESTYLE of turning away from your sins, just like Marty Herron does, to be saved. These are false prophets of the worst sort, because they deceptively appear as Christians. Their gospel is not our Gospel. There is nothing in the Gospel as defined in 1st Corinthians 15:1-4 that includes repenting of your sins to be saved. Repentance is not mentioned at all! That is because repentance is automatic. The man who BELIEVS has repented of his unbelief and idols. If God wanted us to turn away from something to be saved, then He would have said so, but He didn't! 

Repeatedly in the Gospel of John, and throughout the New Testament, we are simply taught that the way of salvation is to BELIEVE ON JESUS. John 6:28-29, “Then said they unto him, What shall we do, that we might work the works of God? Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent.” Yet, thousands of ungodly false teachers refuse to teach the simplicity that is in Christ, making salvation HARD. John MacArthur even authored a horrible book titled: “HARD TO BELIEVE.” Any preacher who makes getting saved hard is of the Devil. Pastors' John MacArthur, Chuck Phelps, Marty Herron, Steve Pettit, Gary Walton and the entire Bob Jones crowd today are of the Devil, making salvation hard.

I have paid dearly for my stand for THE TRUTH. I lost two potential wives at Harvest Baptist Church on Guam, because Marty Herron drove me out of the church for befriending him with THE TRUTH. God will deal with Herron treacherously as he has dealt with me, costing me everything. Pastor Herron has his wife, so what does he care if I am alone without a companion. I haven't had a church family since 2014 to 2021, because of Marty Herron's cowardice, arrogance, selfishness, haughty rich man's pride and wickedness to reject THE TRUTH. God's curse is upon that rotten false prophet! I didn't say, God did in Galatians 1:6-9 and Galatians 3:1-3 and Galatians 6:7. Lordship Salvation is a perversion of God's grace. My blood is upon their heads at BJU and Harvest Baptist Church on Guam. They can remove, ban, shun, shame and ostracize me as a truth-teller, but they cannot escape the judgment of God almighty (Matthew 7:1-2; Galatians 6:7; Matthew 12:36; Ecclesiastes 12:13-14; Hebrews 4:13; Matthew 7:21-23; Luke 13:23-24). 

I wouldn't give you a dime for any preacher who does not expose false teachers. The 73 year old man who wrote to me is foolish in his thinking. He erroneously calls the false teachers whom I expose “brothers.” Kindly said, Marty Herron, John MacArthur, Steve Pettit, Chuck Phelps, Gary Walton, Paul Washer and Ray Comfort are not Christian brothers (to name but a few), they are infidels lurking in the pulpit today, damning men's souls to Hell with a counterfeit plan of salvation which cannot produce the new birth. Salvation is not partial faith in Christ plus giving up your sinful bad habits. Salvation is not partial faith in Christ plus surrendering all to Christ as “Lord” of your life. Salvation is wholly resting in Jesus Christ because He died in your place on the cross, was buried, and physically resurrected three days later.
