Jesus Christ Is Bodily Risen!

John 20:1, “The first day of the week cometh Mary Magdalene early, when it was yet dark, unto the sepulchre, and seeth the stone taken away from the sepulchre.”

JESUS IS RISEN! You know, as crazy as it sounds, I read the other day that 25% of professed Christians in England don't believe Jesus bodily resurrected from the dead! How can that be? What saith the Scripture? ...
1st Corinthians 15:12-14, “Now if Christ be preached that he rose from the dead, how say some among you that there is no resurrection of the dead? But if there be no resurrection of the dead, then is Christ not risen: And if Christ be not risen, then is our preaching vain, and your faith is also vain.”
Obviously they are “Christian” in name only, and not true born-again believers. Truth is stranger than fiction! As if things could get any weirder, the Jehovah's Witness' religious cult also denies Jesus' bodily resurrection. Their official JW.org website says:
After Jesus’ Resurrection, Was His Body Flesh or Spirit?
The Bible’s answerThe Bible says that Jesus “was put to death in the flesh but made alive [resurrected] in the spirit.”—1 Peter 3:18; Acts 13:34; 1 Corinthians 15:45; 2 Corinthians 5:16.
Jesus’ own words showed that he would not be resurrected with his flesh-and-blood body. He said that he would give his “flesh in behalf of the life of the world,” as a ransom for mankind. (John 6:51; Matthew 20:28) If he had taken back his flesh when he was resurrected, he would have canceled that ransom sacrifice. This could not have happened, though, for the Bible says that he sacrificed his flesh and blood “once for all time.”—Hebrews 9:11, 12.

If you read the entire article, it gets even weirder, claiming that Jesus only raised up as a spirit, but a spirit can take on physical form, which is how His disciples allegedly were able to see and touch Him. ...
If Jesus was raised up with a spirit body, how could his disciples see him?
Spirit creatures can take on human form. For example, angels who did this in the past even ate and drank with humans. (Genesis 18:1-8; 19:1-3) However, they still were spirit creatures and could leave the physical realm.—Judges 13:15-21.

Dear friend, how gullible are you? Hopefully not as gullible as the 8,683,117 unsaved folks who follow this dangerous JW religious cult. The angels who came to rescue Lot and his family in Genesis, were in bodily form. There is nothing in the Bible which teaches that angels are spirits that have a body one minute, and not a body the next. By all Scriptural evidence, angels always have a body. Even God Himself sits upon a physical throne. The Son is a separate person, having His own physical body, and sits upon a separate throne in Heaven (Colossians 3:1).

There is a fairly popular heresy in some churches today called Modalism, which says God enters into different modes. Modalism denies the Trinity (i.e., Godhead, the triune nature of God). Evidences of Christ's physical resurrection from the dead:
  1. Jesus Was Seen By Over 500 Witnesses At Once In His Resurrected Body (1st Corinthians 15:6)
  2. Jesus Physically Appeared And Met With His Disciples In His Resurrected Body (John 20:19-26)
  3. Jesus Physically Ate Food And Drank With His Disciples In His Resurrected Body (Luke 24:42-43)
  4. Jesus Told Mary Not To Physically Touch His Body After His Resurrection (John 20:17)
  5. Jesus Told His Disciple Thomas To Physically Touch His Scars And Thrust His Side (John 20:27-28)
  6. Jesus Walked With And Expounded The Two Disciples On The Road To Emmaus (Luke 24:13-27)
  7. Jesus Physically Ascended Into The Clouds In His Resurrected Body (Acts 1:9; Luke 24:51)
  8. Jesus Appeared Physically To The Apostle John In The Book Of Revelation (Revelation 1:13-18)
  9. Jesus Is Physically Seated On The Right-Hand Of The Father In Heaven (Colossians 3:1)
  10. We Will Physically Meet The Lord In The Air At The Rapture (1st Thessalonians 4:17)
  11. Every Eye Will Physically See Jesus Bodily At His Second Coming (Revelation 1:7)
  12. I am sure there are more, but these are the evidences off the top of my head that I could think of, thus proving that Jesus Christ raised up from the dead as He foretold. Many religious groups deny Christ's physical resurrection.
The inspired Holy Bible teaches that Jesus Christ has physically risen! That is what we celebrate each Easter Sunday in America. I understand that Easter itself is a pagan holiday, but as Christians we couldn't care less about Ishtar, the Assyrian and Babylonian fertility goddess of sex. We don't worship decorated Christmas trees as Christmas, as they did in Jeremiah 10:2; we simply enjoy a nice looking tree in our home. I personally celebrate holidays and have no Scriptural problem with doing so, if you do, then don't. To each his own. Romans 14:22, “Hast thou faith? have it to thyself before God. Happy is he that condemneth not himself in that thing which he alloweth.” In the case of JW's. they don;t believe in celebrating holidays; but there's no reason for them to celebrate Easter, because they don't think Jesus physically resurrected from the dead.

Lest there be any doubt that Christ raised up in His physical body, may I quote to you a familiar passage from 1st Corinthians 15:
1st Corinthians 15:3-8, For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures: And that he was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve: After that, he was seen of above five hundred brethren at once; of whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some are fallen asleep. After that, he was seen of James; then of all the apostles. And last of all he was seen of me also, as of one born out of due time.
If I added correctly, that's 515 saints who SAW Jesus in His resurrected body. Contrary to the ridiculous claim of JW's that a spirit can appear in a fleshly body—it ain't never happened! There is not one place in the Holy Bible where a spirit took on bodily form! God's angels have their own body. Demons are disembodied fallen angels, who require either a human or an animal host to posses. What the JW's are teaching is bizarre, unscriptural and wrong! We cannot find even one example in the inspired Word of God, where an angel left their physical body!

By the way, Jesus left this earth in a physical body (Acts 1:9-11), nor has He ever separated from that resurrected body, and He is now seated on the right-hand of the Father in Heaven in that same physical body. Colossians 3:1, “If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God.” What saith the Scripture? Philippians 3:21, “Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body, according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto himself.” Could the Scripture speak any plainer? I think not. Jesus has a “glorious body, and we will one day (at the Rapture) also receive a glorious body fashioned like unto HIS GLORIOUS BODY! What a glorious hope!

“We don't love people because of what they do, or don't do; we love them because God loves them, and God cares about them, and He wants us to help win them to the Lord!” —Pastor John K.
