What Do I Think About The California Fires?

Romans 5:12-13, “Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned: (For until the law sin was in the world: but sin is not imputed when there is no law.”

I heard Pastor Jack Hyles (1926-2001) say on numerous occasions in his preaching, that every week of his ministry for decades he read the entire book or Proverbs. I have often remembered what Brother Hyles said and I try to regularly listen to Alexander Scourby read the Proverbs. Last week I listened twice to the entire book of Proverbs. You can listen to the entire book of Proverbs in just 98 minutes! That's not bad at all. You can listen to the entire King James Bible be read to you in just 75 hours!!! I love that. There's no reason why a child of God cannot hear the entire Bible read several times each year. If you prefer, you can listen to Willard Waggoner instead read the whole inspired King James Bible.

I was thinking today (Did you smell wood burning?). I was trying to think of some Scripture passages appropriate for the California fires, which has so far destroyed over 12,000 homes, and killed 24 people. It is sad and heartbreaking. One dear woman who was 95 years old burned alive in her own home. She was simply too old to escape the raging inferno!

Incompetent Leadership To Blame For Fire Damage

I've heard in the news this week that the governor of California is fully to blame for the disaster, because he knowingly rejected a plan to use billions of gallons of run-off rainwater to accommodate California's desperate need for water. Everything rises and falls on leadership! Anyone who lives in the state of California fully knows that the state is prone to dry seasons, strong San Andreas hurricane-force winds and forest fires. Fires are nothing new to California. Smokey The Bear was right: “Only you can prevent forest fires!”

To add injury to insult, the incompetent mayor of Los Angeles defunded the local fire departments, stripping away $17,000,000 of resources from the fire department. Both the governor of California and the mayor of Los Angeles should be in prison! Having said that, a Bible passage came to mind today from Proverbs 6:10-11. “Yet a little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to sleep: So shall thy poverty come as one that travelleth, and thy want as an armed man.” When the firemen connected their firehoses to the fire-hydrants, there was no water. The firemen had to shamefully resort to using water from resident's swimming pools to fight the devastating fires. The dear firemen have been fighting against wildfires driven by winds gusting at 100 mph.

The Los Angeles Fires Are Not God's Judgment

Ecclesiastes 9:11, “I returned, and saw under the sun, that the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, neither yet bread to the wise, nor yet riches to men of understanding, nor yet favour to men of skill; but time and chance happeneth to them all.”

The Bible teaches that there is such a thing as “luck.” Ecclesiastes 9:11 says that “time and chance happeneth to all.” That means we are all vulnerable to chance. We all heard the old adage: It was the wrong place at the wrong time. Well, that adage is FALSE! Think about it. How can you be in the wrong place at the wrong time? You cannot. If it was the wrong time, then you wouldn't be there! It is possible to be in the right place at the right time. It is also possible to be in the wrong place at the right time. And you could also be in the right place at the wrong time. But you simply cannot be in the wrong place at the wrong time! Please don't forget that.

God is not raining down fire upon Los Angeles. Nor did God judge New Orleans in 2005 when Hurricane Katrina wreaked havoc on the city. The 9/11 attacks were clearly an Inside Job, which even Rudy Dent (a 32-year retired NYC firefighter) said was an Inside Job that murdered 343 of his firefighter brethren. 9/11 was not God's judgment upon the USA, it was a conspiracy by a subversive faction working within our own high government. Remember, the Bible teaches that our battle as Christians is “against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places” (Ephesians 6:12b).

California has been prone to forest fires for millenniums. If the local mayor hadn't defunded the fire department of $17,000,000; and if the state's yuppie governor had cared enough to prepare for such emergencies, giving the people the much needed rainwater run-off, then the present calamity wouldn't have happened. This disaster was manmade! The 9/11 attacks were manmade! The Oklahoma City Bombing in 1995 was manmade! God didn't do these things.

Except Ye Repent, Ye Shall All Likewise Perish

I saw a meme on Facebook asking people to pray for California. It bothers me when tragedy happens, and only then people want to start praying. California is getting what they deserve for being one of the most evil places on earth. Hollywood is a curse upon America—one thousand times worse than Sodom. San Francisco is infamous for their high homosexual population. Los Angeles has completely ignored the cries of 70,000 homeless victims of our covetousness culture of pleasure-seekers, fornicators, abortionists, nudists and blasphemers. 

My only prayer for Californians is that they repent to get saved. The proper attitude of a Christian is not that God should destroy the wicked, but that they might come to repentance to be saved (Luke 9:52-56). The world's judgment will come soon enough (Isaiah 13:11). When told about 18 people who died in a local disaster when the wall of Siloam fell, Jesus warned in Luke 13:1-5 that “except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.” This Scriptural warning is perfectly applicable today regarding the fires in California. The United States is in big trouble with God! We are guilty are murdering over 63,000,000 babies in the womb by abortion. Abortion is cold-blooded, premeditated, first-degree MURDER!

I humbly am fully convinced that Revelation chapter 18 vividly describes the future total destruction of the United States by a nuclear holocaust. Revelation 18:8-10, “Therefore shall her plagues come in one day, death, and mourning, and famine; and she shall be utterly burned with fire: for strong is the Lord God who judgeth her. And the kings of the earth, who have committed fornication and lived deliciously with her, shall bewail her, and lament for her, when they shall see the smoke of her burning, Standing afar off for the fear of her torment, saying, Alas, alas, that great city Babylon, that mighty city! for in one hour is thy judgment come.” In just one day death, mourning and famine will come the Bible says.

It all makes perfect sense. If there is a nuclear attack from Russia, China and/or North Korea in the future against the United States, the roads will be unusable. The food will stop coming into the cities. Crime will skyrocket. Just in California this past week, there have been nearly 100 arrests for looting and burglary. Can you imagine? While people's homes are burning to the ground, ungodly thieves are sneaking into those homes to steal what they did not earn. They should be executed on sight.

Can you imagine what would happen in cities across America if there is a nuclear attack? There will be a total breakdown of law and order nationwide. It will become like the old west—everyman for himself. Families will need guns to protect themselves from punks. Families will need to take watch on shifts, warding off bandits, rapists and murderers. I believe it's coming! The Bible foretells that this place, Babylon, will be destroyed in one day, by a calamity which will happen in just one hour! This nation will be annihilated by fire. Revelation 18:8, “Therefore shall her plagues come in one day, death, and mourning, and famine; and she shall be utterly burned with fire: for strong is the Lord God who judgeth her.” What else could do that except a nuclear attack?

America has sadly become a very wicked place! The Arabs call us: The Great Satan! I would have to agree with them, even though I reject Islam, which is a false religion. We deserve to be called, The Great Satan, for legalizing homosexual marriages in 2015. Sodomy is not okay! God created Adam and Eve, not Adam and Steve. If that offends you, good. My intent is never to offend anyone; but rather, to preach the truth. God loves homosexuals, just as He loves all human beings. John 3:16 teaches, FOR GOD SO LOVED THE WORLD (that includes everybody). Jesus died for the vilest of sinners (Romans 5:6-9). He even died for me. God loves you dear reader, and so do I with Christ's love. I just want to be a blessing to help others for God.
