Famous People Who Died In Their 50s

Notable celebrities who died in their fifties include:

1. Bill Bixby (1934-1993) - age 59 - prostrate cancer - he stared in The Hulk
2. Carl Wilson (1946-1998) - age 51 - not a smoker, lung cancer - a founding member of The Beach Boys
3. John Ritter (1948-2003) - age 54 - aortic dissection, doctor malpractice - Three's Company
4. Grace Kelly (1929-1982) - age 52 - car crash - A famous actor
5. Rod Serling (1924-1975) - age 50 - heavy smoker, heart attack - famous screenwriter and television producer
6. George Harrison (1943-2001) - age 58 - heavy smoker in earlier years, lung cancer - The Beatles
7. Prince Rogers Nelson (1958–2016) - age 57 - drug overdose - a famous singer
8. Michael Clarke Duncan (1957-2012) - Age 54 - respiratory failure - The Island (actor)
9. Humphrey Bogart (1899–1957) - age 57 - heavy smoker, esophagus cancer (Bogart only weighed 80 pounds when he died - a famous actor
10. Errol Flynn (1909-1959) - age 50 - heavy smoker and drinker, heart attack
11. Clark Gable (1901–1960) - age 59 - heart attack - a famous actor
12. Steve McQueen (1930-1980) - age 50 - mesothelioma - a famous actor

These are just a dozen of literally thousands of famous people who died in their fifties and earlier. I am age 59, which got me to thinking about all this. By God's grace, I feel fortunate that I have outlived all of these famous people. Proverbs 27:1, “Boast not thyself of to morrow; for thou knowest not what a day may bring forth.”

Dear reader, life is short, Hell is hot and eternity is a long time. Please make sure that you are ready for the afterlife. That is, have ou been born again? Most people shirk it off as mere religious nonsense. What saith the Scripture? 1st Corinthians 1:18, “For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.” What a beautiful passage of inspired Scripture!

To most people the Gospel is tomfoolery, utter gibberish, balderdash and poppycock, because they are not saved and do not see their desperate need for the Savior.

The celebrities that I listed were filthy rich and famous worldwide. They lived life to the fullest. They ate the best meals, wore the finest clothes and lived large. Sadly, other than Steve McQueen, and Michael Clarke Duncan (who was a born again Baptist), it is clear to me from reading their biographies that most of the twelve names listed above went to Hell. Rod Serling plainly denied Jesus as the Christ, as did George Harrison. Clark Gable and Grace Kelly were Roman Catholics, a deadly false religion based in Sacramental Salvation. Humphrey Bogart was an Episcopalian, which false religion also requires Sacramental Salvation.

And of course, the singer Prince was a Jehovah's Witness, which is a damnable cult. John Ritter was raised a Methodist but strayed away from religion later in life. He might be in Heaven. Religion never saved anybody. Faith is the only righteous thing that I can do. How about you dear reader? Have you been born again from above by the Holy Spirit?
