Believers Will Give Account In Eternity For Bad We Do

2nd Corinthians 5:9-11, “Wherefore we labour, that, whether present or absent, we may be accepted of him. For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad. Knowing therefore the terror of the Lord, we persuade men; but we are made manifest unto God; and I trust also are made manifest in your consciences.”

1st Thessalonians 4:6, “That no man go beyond and defraud his brother in any matter: because that the Lord is the avenger of all such, as we also have forewarned you and testified.”

I used to teach a very long time ago that Christians will only be rewarded in Heaven for the good that we do, but none of the bad things we do will ever be brought up. I was so WRONG!

In fact, as you just read from our text Scripture passages, God's children WILL be held accountable for the good AND OR BAD we have done in our fleshly body on earth. Carefully notice that the Bible doesn't say we will give account for “our sins”; but rather, for the “good or bad” done in our body. Jesus took the punishment for our sins on the cross, shedding His precious blood and dying a criminal's death for you and me. 2nd Corinthians 5:21, “For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.”

Jesus (Who was 100% sinless), became as sin (which is what the brass beat into the shape of a serpent by Moses pictured in John 3:14), so that we who have no righteousness of our own, could be saved by God's imputed righteousness through faith alone in Jesus Christ!!! Amen and amen. Philippians 3:9, “And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith:

Dear reader, all believers WILL be held accountable to our heavenly Father in eternity. Christ bore the heavy burden of our sins, so that we wouldn't have to by burning in Hell forever. I have heard many preachers falsely teach that believers won't be judged for our sins at the Judgment Seat of Christ. That is only half true! Yes, we won't be condemned for our sins (John 3:18; Romans 8:1). But we will be judged as God's redeemed children for our wrongs, and be rewarded accordingly (1st Corinthians 3:11-15).

Many believers will weep bitter tears of regret and sorrow at the Judgment Seat Of Christ. A few will shine as the stars forever (Daniel 12:3). No one in Heaven will stand as a shining example of what we all should have been, except Jesus Himself. The Bible teaches that there is no one today without sin in their life. You may do a good job of hiding your sins from others, but God sees your sins and they will be known in eternity. 1st Timothy 5:24, "Some men's sins are open beforehand, going before to judgment; and some men they follow after."

There are many people who have commit horrible crimes, but have never been caught by the police. Some would receive life in prison if the horrible things they have gotten away with were known. But you can be rest assured that in eternity God will recompense all men for their evil deeds, or good deeds (Romans 12:19-21). The only difference is, will your works be judged on the basis of being an unsaved sinner (John 8:24), or as a redeemed child of God (Revelation 14:13)? No one ever gets away with anything forever! Hebrews 4:13, “Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in his sight: but all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of him with whom we have to do.”

What Evidence Can You Give Me That God Exists?

Romans 1:20-21, "For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse: Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened."

Consider this dear reader, the Holy Bible was not written by one man, or even a group of men, in one generation; it was written over 1,500 years! If the Bible had been written by one man, like Muhammad wrote the Islamic Koran, then I would be very suspicious. But the Bible is comprised of 66 books which were written over a span of 1,500 years, by approximately 40 different writers. We don't know who wrote the book of Hebrews, which is why is say "approximately." I think the Apostle Paul wrote Hebrews, but we do not know for certain. Those 40 or so men whom God used to pen the Bible, spoke different languages, came from different social backgrounds. Some were farmers like Amos, others were scholars like Paul. Some were nobleman like Nehemiah, others were just humble men like Job. I believe that God deliberately gave humanity the Bible in this miraculous manner, to prove its divine origin. If you think about it, men could not have achieved this.

A common accusation is that rich men wrote the Bible to control the massed. I used to work with an atheist who believed in cavemen and evolution (I of course don't). His name was Mike. Mike told me that religion started with the cavemen. He thinks that some of the Neanderthal men were greater than the lesser, having the women and the money, et cetera. So the lesser of the species decided to start a religion, claiming belief in a higher power, which gave them something that the greater ape-men didn't have, which gave the lesser of the group a feeling of superiority over the greater. Although his theory is intriguing, I am much more compelled to believe that God truly does exist, and man's need for religion is proof of God's existence.

So the first evidence that God exists and that the Bible is His inspired Word, is the miraculous manner in which the Bible was discovered by mankind (by the way, I only accept the King James Bible as uncorrupted in modern English, all others have been tampered with but that is a different topic).

Also, reading the Bible can be challenging to someone new to it, because the Bible is NOT assembled in chronological order, except for the first 5 books (written by Moses) and Revelation. For example: The book of Job likely occurred around the time of Genesis, before the law was given in Exodus. When men write books, they flow logically from start to finish, but the Bible is an amazing assortment of 66 different books. Another example is the Old Testament book of Daniel, which is absolutely essential to understanding the New Testament book of Revelation. To me, this is another proof of divine origin.

It has been wisely said that if men could write the Bible, they wouldn't; and if they would, they couldn't. The following Scripture speaks of Moses. Hebrews 11:27, "By faith he forsook Egypt, not fearing the wrath of the king: for he endured, as seeing him who is invisible." Another favorite passage of mind is Romans 1:20-21, "For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse: Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened."

According to these Scriptures (see also Psalms 19:1-3), nature is another proof of God's existence. This is further evidence of a divine Creator. I am always amazed that people will acknowledge the possibility that alien life exists outside of our solar system, but will deny the existence of God. By very definition, God is extra-terrestrial (beyond the earth). God is an alien! I don't think he is green and skinny like Close Encounters, but in truth, we don't know what God looks like. Since man is created in God's image, I seems to make sense to me that God must somewhat look human, but I do not know for certain.

There are some unanswerable questions in life. How big is the universe. According to science, the universe is still expanding. The Bible agrees with that. Job 9:7-8, "But the LORD shall endure for ever: he hath prepared his throne for judgment. Which alone spreadeth out the heavens, and treadeth upon the waves of the sea." Can the universe have an end to it? If so, what is beyond that barrier? The answer defines all human understanding and science. Also, when did time begin? Can time have a beginning. If so, what existed before time? Again, an answer would defy all human logic and science. The only plausible answer is God, a divine Creator.

Another evidence of God and the veracity of the Bible is the preeminence of Jesus Christ throughout history. Consider that our very time system is based upon B.C. (before Christ) and A.D. (from Latin, meaning, "in the year of our Lord"). Hollywood movies prevalently take Jesus' name in vain, cursing and blaspheming His holy name. Why would the world be so enamored with a historical being who wasn't God in the flesh? And it's not just Hollywood. What do human say at extreme moments of physical pleasure, "Oh God!" What do humans say when the most scared, "Oh God!" What do humans say when the most angry, "God %$&@$!" OR "Jesus %#*%* Christ!" This also testifies to the inherent knowledge in every human being that God is real, and Jesus came to earth as God incarnate in the flesh (Romans 1:20-21; John 1:1-3, 14; 1st Timothy 3:16).

Also, I have had numerous web visitors tell me over the years, that it was the existence of 666, Satan worship, the occult and the forming New World Order that convinced them of God's existence. Their reasoning is that if Satan is real, then God must also be real. I mean, we have to admit that a lot of people believe in Satan...
All those dark things creep people out, and rightly so! Whether or not the Devil (a literal spiritual being, a fallen archangel, Lucifer) exists, the world sure believes in him!

So these are some proofs of God, Jesus and the Bible:
  1. Man's inherent need for God
  2. The manner in which the Holy Bible was randomly discovered by mankind over 1,500 years
  3. Nature itself and the universe
  4. The unanswered questions of how big is the universe and when did time begin
  5. The preeminence of Jesus Christ throughout history
  6. the blatant existence of Satan worship, New World Order and the occult
That is the best I can do to make my appeal to you dear reader,  that the God of the Holy Bible is real, and Jesus is His only begotten (biological) Son; the Christ in whom all humans who BELIEVE ON HIM are born-again, through whom we obtain forgiveness of sins and eternal life by faith without works (Romans 4:4-7; Galatians 3:26; 1st Corinthians 15:1-4; John 20:31). I have only provided some Scripture references in case you'd like to confirm these claims with the Bible.

Ultimately we all have to make our own conclusions based upon the available evidence. Ten people can view the same exact evidence, but a couple will believe (Christians), a couple will refuse to believe (unbelievers), and others will remain unconvinced either way (agnostic). The choice that we make could affect where we spend eternity. The Bible is very clear that unless a man is born again, he cannot enter into God's Kingdom. John 3:3, "Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God."

I encourage you also to read Michael P. Bowen's book, "I NEVER KNEW YOU: THE HORROR OF THE COMING GREAT WHITE THRONE AND HOW YOU CAN AVOID IT."
In the book, Michael shares his personal struggle with faith, explaining that he was an atheist in his youth (at your age), and how he came to believe on Jesus Christ. I encourage you to read his story. The book was written in a kind and understanding spirit, not judgment or harsh.

I humbly think if you'll ponder all these truths, that you will also come to the light of the truth of the Gospel (the Good News of Christ crucified, buried and risen the third day), by which those who BELIEVE are saved (1st Corinthians 1:21, Romans 1:16; Acts 16:30-31; 1st Thessalonians 4:14; John 6:28-29, 40, 47).

The Best Way I Have Found To Lose Weight

I have struggled with obesity all my adult life. Anything over 192 pounds for me is considered obese. I am 5' 7" tall with what I consider a medium build frame. I don't have big bones...lol. My ideal weight is 150 pounds, which is what I weighed in this photo from 2017...

Me in 2017 at 150 Pounds

The interesting this is that just 6 months earlier on February 21, 2017, I weighed 215 pounds!!! By May 10th, just 10 weeks later, my weight was down to 158 Pounds! Yes, I lost 5 true pounds of weight each week for 10 weeks! By June 25th, my weight hit a low of 145.0 pounds. How did I do it? I starved myself and tried to walk as much as I could. My constant neck pain makes it difficult for me to walk sometimes, but I was able to walk enough to burn some calories. Most of all, which is extremely rare, I had an uncommon determination to do this. As many people can relate, I was in love with a woman and wanted to impress her. Sadly, she still rejected me and broke my heart anyway. But that was her decision alone. She lost out on a great guy who really genuinely loved her.

I kept the weight off throughout 2017 and 2018, but hadn't learned about proper eating habits yet. So I was eating a very restrictive diet of my favorite processed foods, and I was struggling and frustrated. By 2019 I was beginning to gain my weight back, failing to eat properly. I wish I had known then what I know now. So by 2020 I had gained all my weight back, weighing in at 208 pounds! Ouch! I was depressed and felt like a failure. I had a horrible doctor who was paranoid when I lost weight, saying he was worried, but then criticized me when I gained my weight back, not helping me at all. What a lousy doctor!

For the entire year of 2020 I tried fifty times at least to lose weight, but couldn't lose an ounce. I was so frustrated that I was able to lose 70 pounds in just 4 months in 2017, but now couldn't lose a single pound in a year! What had changed? I lost my motivation. Losing weight by starving yourself is the worst way to try to lose weight. When I lost 70 pounds in 2017, I was eating only 500 calories per day. When I felt a craving, I listened to my favorite music to motivate me. Since I love music, it is a powerful force on me. And then I would get out of the house and walk around Home Depot, the mall or along the ocean to get my mind off of eating. I drank LOTS of Japanese Green Tea, which I had read burns belly fat.

Okay, in 2020 I had had enough of my jerk doctor, and threatened to report the clinic for emotional abuse, because now my doctor was being horribly insensitive, calling me "obese." What a jerk! I didn't even say goodbye to him, after 8 years of tolerating his abuse! I don't regret that one bit. The Risk Assessment Department at the SDA Guam Clinic on the island of Guam made the decision to get rid of Dr. Miyagi. Good buy to bad rubbish!

I was assigned a new doctor, Dr. Timothy Arnott. This man was a blessing! Dr. Arnott didn't criticize me for being obese, he told me to watch a helpful YouTube video titled: "The Game Changers." Dr. Arnott did something that no other doctor ever cared enough to do, he inspired me to move toward eating a vegetarian diet, and showed me how. Here is his website (note that Dr. Arnott is a Seventh-Day Adventist, and I DON'T necessarily sanction or agree with his religious beliefs shown on his website, in the Bible Study drop-down area. I believe that SDA's are not born-again believers, but they are sweet and good people). I am sharing this webpage for it's health benefit information, which is invaluable. I highly encourage you to download Dr. Arnott's free handouts. They are invaluable, showing you exactly what to eat and not to eat to lose weight!

In 2021 I began eating a 75 vegetarian diet, but included some baked fish and chicken. I greatly cut back on red meats, and for several weeks didn't eat any red meat, to see how it would affect my blood tests. As a result, my triglycerides dropped from around 260 down to 112. My bad cholesterol (also over 200) greatly improved, but was still about 140 from eating fish and chicken. But the blood tests clearly showed how eating healthier foods greatly improves one's health. My weight over 5 months dropped from about 202 pounds down to 177 pounds. At this lower weight, my blood glucose tested at 5.2 mg/dl, which is perfect! To be transparent, Dr. Sten Ekberg doesn't like The Game Changers video. But despite critics, it cannot be denied that eating a mostly vegetarian style diet is good sense. I actually agree with Dr. Ekberg that eating some meat is good for our health, which is what I do. So I am an omnivore.

Okay, without further ado, the best way that I have found to lose weight, which is what I am doing now and it is working, is the same weight I lost weight in 2021. I ATE FOOD to lose weight! That sounds like a contradictory statement, but it really works. They key is to eat the right foods. I lost about 25 pounds in 5 months by eating something small every 3 hours. That is so important to do! I always failed in the year of 2020 at trying to stop eating to lose weight. My cravings were too strong and I binged every time by the end of the day. What I did in 2017 is EXTREMELY hard to do. Less than 5% of people have that kind of will power. I lost it after 2017. But I have learned that a better, and the best way to lose weight, is to eat a healthy diet.

Today for breakfast (which is what I do every day) I used my Nutri-Ninja to mix 2 Tablespoons of flaxseeds (I get mine from Walmart near the cooking oils area). Flaxseeds are high in fiber, minerals and Omega 3 acids. I also mixed 1 red apple today. I added cold water, a handful of almonds and quinoa, 1 teaspoon of cinnamon and 2 small mandarin oranges. That is a very healthy drink to start my day. Sometimes I'll add different color grapes (green, red or purple). I change the mix around to add variety and different nutrients to my diet. But I always include an apple a day and 1 or 2 Tablespoons of whole flaxseeds.

For lunch today I ate a big salad. I bought a large bowl at Walmart to make my big salads. I take 1 entire Romain heart of lettuce. I then dice and add 1 or 2 dill pickles, some tamed jalapenos in a jar, some roasted red bell peppers in ajar. I also liberally sprinkled on my salad a mix of chia, hemp and flax seeds from a big quart-sized container that I bought at Walmart. When I eat a can of sardines, in extra virgin olive oil, as I did today, I pour the leftover oil over my salad. Olive oil is good for your body, but limit it to 1 Tablespoon per day, because just 1 Tablespoon has 120 calories.

I feel full. I do count my daily calories, which I aim for 1,000 to 1,500 total. That causes me to lose 1 to 2 pounds of wright per week, and it is SUSTAINABLE (because I am eating and enjoying my meals). I also drank a second smoothie today, in which I mixed 1 raw egg (yoke and all), 1 teaspoon of nutmeg, 1 teaspoon of cinnamon, 1 cup of almond milk (I like sweetened), 1 cup of mineral water, 1 scoop of vanilla isolate whey protein (I bought mine at GNC). It tastes like eggnog!

An important thing to help me lose weight is to make sure that I eat a HIGH PROTEIN diet. Protein helps the body feel full longer, helps to lose weight, preserves muscle tissue, raises metabolism, and uses (burns) 40% of it's own content to digest. You need protein. Some other healthy sources of protein in beans, cottage cheese, Greek yogurt (regular yogurt has too much sugar), brown eggs (high protein content makes them brown), fish, chicken, beef and quinoa (pronounced KEEN-WAH). I add quinoa to my smoothie mixes in the Nutri-Ninja (I bought my 1,100 watt unit from Amazon and I love it).

CONSISTENCY is the key to losing weight over time. By the way, I didn't go walking or exercise at all to lose 25 pounds over 5 months in 2021. When I starved myself in 2017, I was going stir crazy in the house and had to go walking to keep my sanity...lol. But in 2021, I was satisfied in my belly and just stayed home while losing weight. This is a slower way to lose weight, but a sure way! Best of all, it is very sustainable (meaning you can keep doing it easily for the rest of your life). I have learned that whatever I eat today, I will crave tomorrow. So if I eat corn dogs, burgers, pizza and deep fried foods (which I love), I will crave them tomorrow and I WILL GAIN WEIGHT.

I hate to admit this, but at times when I was struggling between eating healthy and eating processed foods, the healthy foods couldn't even compare. I ended up eating all the processed foods, and sadly, literally throwing all the healthy foods (lettuce, tomatoes, grapes, apples and other veggies into the garbage can when they spoiled after week of sitting). That is how much I have struggled with eating properly. That is how powerfully addictive junk food is! So, there is no magic cure to lose weight. You will find umpteen LYING websites that will LIE TO YOU, advertising that you can eat anything you want, and as much as you want, and still lose weight if you give them your money to learn their secret. I wish our U.S and state governments would prosecute those con artists for blatant false advertising!!! They need to also prosecute Pat Robertson and his fraudulent 700 Club, who persistently have made THOUSANDS of false claims of divine healing on national TV, which can easily be proven false by any honest medical professional.

To lose weight, you have to have some degree of will power (not to tolerate hunger pains, but to simply eat the right foods). I can eat whenever I feel hungry and still lose weight, if I will eat only certain low-calorie density foods. Here is a list of foods that I eat when I get hungry, to lose weight:
  • pickles (a whole jar is only 5 calories. I try to always put pickles on my salads)
  • eggs (I ate 5 fried eggs and a ribeye steak the other day, which didn't raise my glucose even 1 point. When I tested my blood sugar 2 hours later, it went from 123 mg/dl down to 121 mg/dl. I actually dropped 2 points). I like brown eggs from cage-less, free range (free to run and play) raised, happy chickens. Some people run from anything fried, but I fry my eggs on medium heat in either flaxseed oil, ghee or real butter (never margarine).
  • cottage cheese (it is very low in calories and high in protein.
  • Greek yogurt
  • whole grain crackers topped with lots of mild salsa and some guacamole mix. A whole container of Mexican salsa only contains 75 calories.
  • fruit and vegetable smoothies (I buy bags of pre-cut smoothie veggies and fruits at Walmart in the frozen health section. Each big bag contain 4 small separately sealed bags. One bag makes one smoothie, which has 150 calories each Good stuff! I get hungry late at night, so this is when I drink my smoothie, which makes me feel full.
  • a big Romain lettuce salad (topped with olives, jalapenos from a jar, fresh mushrooms, carrots, grape tomatoes, roasted red peppers from a jar, 1 teaspoon of olive oil, I love adding 1 teaspoon of toasted sesame oil over my salad, et cetera. Good stuff! I eat the salad very slowly sitting at my small portable table, while watching TV.
  • sliced chicken or turkey breast. A 1/2 pound container of either has only 400 calories.
  • drink 3 to 4 bottles of mineral water per day (I get mine, Dasani, from Walmart of other local stores. I haven't drank tap water from the sink for the past 18 years. I don't trust tap water. You don't know what lurches out of all those buried pipes from the water company, and all the toxic chemicals that they add to get it to you! On Guam the tap water smelled so bad, that you could tell the pipes were filled with rust and rot!!!
  • old-fashioned oatmeal (a great source of fiber and minerals). Never buy instant, which is processed and quickly digests into the body, making you feel hungry sooner. Old-fashioned oatmeal is less processed, which is why it takes longer to cook, but it makes you feel full longer (because whole grain takes longer to digest).
  • Ezekiel bread (it is flourless whole grain bread found in the freezer at Walmart. Great stuff! I like to BBQ a beef burger, and then eat it on Ezekiel bread with 1 slice of sharp cheddar cheese (no ketchup or mustard). I often use only 1 slice of Ezekiel bread, cutting it in half into two triangles. This lets me enjoy the succulent BBQ ground beef and it is an entirely different experience than eating a normal processed bun loaded with condiments. I have really started enjoying the beef by itself. I do use plenty of seasonings! When losing weight, you SHOULD make extensive use of seasonings.
  • ribeye steak (but not every day). Beef is high in calories and raises bad cholesterol, so once in a while is best. Eating steak is okay if you eat smaller portions (8 ounce or less).
  • dark chocolate (only 70% cocoa or higher, and no more than 2 squares per day)
  • sweet potatoes (each medium sized potato only has 112 calories and is low glycemic, unlike regular potatoes which are high glycemic. A great way to lose weight!)
  • Unsweetened Green Tea (helps burn body fat. I buy it a case at a time at Asian stores)
  • pork skins (they won't raise your glucose level, and add 35 grams per bag of protein to your diet. Not the healthiest, but if you need some kind of snack, I like these.)
  • Hardened cheese (parmesan, Gouda, swiss, cheddar; but only eat them in limited quantities)
  • Avocados (I buy small Haas avocados by the bag. I try to eat one per day, which are loaded with vitamins and fiber. Sometimes I'll dice them and add to my daily salad)
  • shrimp and seafood (really great for losing weight, high in protein, low in calories but filling)
  • beans (this should really be first on the list, because beans are superfood! Beans are very high in protein and fiber, unlike meats which are high in protein but have ZERO fiber. Beans WILL help you to lose weight. I try to eat 2/3 cup 4 times a week, dry measure, which produces 3 cups when cooked for each meal. I buy bags of 15 variety beans at Walmart)
That is a list of what I am mostly eating now to lose weight, and I am, slowly but surely. When I moved from Guam to Pensacola in July of 2021, I weighed 177 pounds. But I had a rough time for several months, surviving out of a suitcase in a rundown hotel, and I became depressed, eating fast foods. So I gained 30 pounds! I am determined now to continue doing the preceding diet until I get down between 150 to 175 pounds, and stay there this time. The culprit every time I lose weight is eating excessive refined CARBOHYDRATES!!! In other words, processed foods! Anything that comes in a box (pizza, corndogs, TV dinners) are considered processed (with a few exceptions).

Anyway, I like to share the things I learn with others, just in case you are also trying to improve your health. If you are overweight and fail every time to lose weight, the best thing you can do to get started is just start eating healthy. The most important thing, to me, is to make sure to start off each and every day by eating something very healthy. I start each day off with a red apple and some whole flaxseeds in my Nutri-Ninja, mixed with cold water. I might add a little cinnamon, pecans, quinoa, et cetera. I usually like to eat one small avocado too.

By eating healthy in the morning, I am much less likely to throw a pizza in the oven for lunch. I do reward myself once a week with pizza. Use your favorite foods as a reward for eating healthy. If you're like me, your favorite foods will never be the healthy foods...lol. I'm sorry, but a Tombstone pizza will always appeal to me more than a bowl of oatmeal. This is where discipline comes into the picture. It requires some discipline to lose weight, to make yourself eat foods you really don't prefer over the bad one's that you do. But the very good news is that you don't need to go hungry or starve yourself to lose weight, you simply need to eat healthy foods that are low to medium calorie density.

So, in summary, the best way to lose weight is slow and steady, by eating a healthy variety of highly nutritional foods. Slow and steady wins the race, said the tortoise.

Being Religious Versus Being A Good Christian

Colossians 2:20-23, “Wherefore if ye be dead with Christ from the rudiments of the world, why, as though living in the world, are ye subject to ordinances, (Touch not; taste not; handle not; Which all are to perish with the using;) after the commandments and doctrines of men? Which things have indeed a shew of wisdom in will worship, and humility, and neglecting of the body; not in any honour to the satisfying of the flesh.”

Matthew 15:7-9, “Ye hypocrites, well did Esaias prophesy of you, saying, This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me. But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.”

I don't like formal worship in church services. Kindly said, I love the people at the local First Baptist Church of Pensacola down the street from where I live, but I dread their Sunday formal morning service (i.e., their 10:30 am traditional service). They sing old Episcopalian type hymns that I've never cared for. I love the plain hymns; such as: I've Got A Manson In Heaven, When The Roll Is Called Up YonderJust A Closer Walk With Thee and What A Friend We Have In Jesus (to name but a few). Those are the precious hymns that I thankfully grew up with, not The Doxology!
Dear reader, formal worship is an enemy of soulwinning!

I learned a long time ago that there's a big difference between being religious versus being a good Christian. I know many people, fundamental Baptists in particular, who go to church every Sunday. They would never even consider smoking a cigarette, or drinking a beer, or even saying a curse word. Yet, that is all religious dedication and good moral character, and not what it means to be a good Christian. What is a good Christian? Well, it depends who you are asking the question to, because you will get back dozens of different answers! What saith the Scripture? ...
Mark 12:28-31, “And one of the scribes came, and having heard them reasoning together, and perceiving that he had answered them well, asked him, Which is the first commandment of all? And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord: And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment. And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these.”
Since the two greatest commandments in the Bible are “TO LOVE (i.e., love both God and our fellow mankind as our self), then it is logical to conclude that a good Christian is a believer who faithfully obeys these two commandments.

With these truths in mind, where does that leave the religious person who attends church 3 times a week, doesn't smoke, doesn't drink alcoholic beverages, doesn't fornicate, doesn't take the Lord's name in vain, et cetera? They might abstain from all of these vices, and yet not love God or their neighbour at all. I have known many goody two-shoes” type self-righteous churchgoers in my lifetime, who were arrogant high-minded snobs, especially pastors (namely: Jeff Redlin, Marty Herron and Gary Walton). Today's pulpit are filled with religious phonies, false prophets and hypocrites!!!

I wrote this blog to teach and encourage you that you cannot please God by just going through the motions, attending a good church, abstaining from sinful things, and living a religious life. Hebrews 11:6, “But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. Without faith, we cannot please God. You can attend church and not have faith. Roman Catholic do it every Sunday. Catholics put their faith in their church, priests and the seven sacraments instead of solely in the Lamb of God who has the nail-scared hands and feet. John 6:40, “And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day. The Catholic religion is of the Devil, a grand deception!!!

God wants His children to have blessed peace, joy, assurance of salvation and contentment even in our losses, misery, suffering, unhappiness, emotional and physical pain:
John 10:9-10, “I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture. The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.
I am going to surprise my blog visitors with my next statement: I am not much of a religious person! You read right. I do not consider myself a religious person. I do attend church, but only when I can, due to my permanent neck injury (which cause me neuropathic nerve burning, chronic neck pain and intermittent sharp pain radiating down my arms and legs). I don't like religion!!! I don't open the door when Jehovah's Witnesses come knocking. My father was a Skid Row minister for over 30 years, who taught me: Religion is the worst thing that ever happened to this world. My father was right! Religion won't get you to Heaven. Religion can make you feel good in your false plan of salvation, but it can never save anybody! The law cannot give spiritual life!!!

One of my favorite audio sermons by Dr. Jack Hyles is called: “The Good Man Versus The Spiritual Man. Honestly, if you listen to the sermon and understand its great Bible truth, then you'll likely agree that we could just as easily rename Dr. Hyles' sermon to: “The Religious Man Versus The Spiritual Man.” There are millions of good Christians in our churches today. They are born-again and on their way to Heaven, but they are not walking close to the Lord (they think they are). They are cold in their affection toward others, uncaring, lacking depth of compassion and love, going through the motions of attending church, shallow.

But then there is that 1 person out of 1,000 who truly fears God, having been humbled by suffering, sin and the burdens of life, who have grown in Christ's love to the point that they can forgive their enemies, love the unloving, and give others who have hurt them a second chance. Ecclesiastes 7:28, “Behold, this have I found, saith the preacher, counting one by one, to find out the account: Which yet my soul seeketh, but I find not: one man among a thousand have I found; but a woman among all those have I not found. Times haven't changed. You will have to look long and far to find a true born-again believer, who has the GREAT HEART OF GOD in them these days.

I don't know about you dear friend, but I don't want to be average. I want to care more than the average Christian who pretends to care, but really doesn't. I have received numerous emails from frustrated people, who tell me that when they contacted a church for help, they were brushed off and mistreated by the pastor. That is so terrible! Anybody who knows me will tell you that I always take the time to reply to emails, writing lengthy caring emails to help people. I don't get paid to do this. I CARE!!! I care because God cares, and I walk with Him.

I am not trying to be religious, God forbid. I am trying to please God by getting the job done (my ministry). My goal is not to be a good Christian, but to help people in any way I can, whenever I can, wherever I can. I am commanded in the Holy Bible to love God and love my neighbour (all humanity) as myself. Ecclesiastes 12:13 declares that the WHOLE DUTY of mankind is to FEAR GOD and to KEEP HIS COMMANDMENTS. That is my goal in life.

Our churches are full of religious people, but they woefully lack God's love for others. I don't want to be like that! I want to walk with God and please Him, walking by faith. The world is full of religious nuts! I am not a nut. Religion doesn't make people turn crazy, but religion often provides a vehicle for crazy people to ride on. I am a born-again, adopted, grateful, child of God. I need Jesus! Every moment of every day I need Him! We all need Jesus!!! So I encourage you friend to rise above mere religion, and instead walk with your God and Creator.

We see churches all over the place which are walled-up, resemblant of prison compounds or secret cults. Their attitude is Us Four And No More, making outsiders feel unwelcomed and unloved. There is no love for people. Campus Church at Pensacola Christian College comes to mind, with their fascist security and thug style unforgiveness toward those who get on their bad side. I humbly asked Pastor Jeff Redlin in June of 2022 for his forgiveness, and his blessing to attend Campus Church, but he sinfully refused, ignoring me in his hatred and resentment. That is a religious cult, not a New Testament church! Sadly, they are religious at PCC, but not good Christians. A good Christian doesn't ignore and look down on others. Philippians 2:3, “Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves.

“We're saved because we have faith in Jesus. We believe that He died on the cross. We believe He was buried, and stayed there for three days, and we believe He got up out of the grave. ...The law never gives life!” —Pastor John K. Jenkins Sr., 'Justified: The Book Of Galatians, Chapter 2'

Be A Child, Juvenile Adult

Galatians 2:20, I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.

My hero of the Christian faith is Pastor Jack Hyles (1926-2001). Brother Hyles genuinely cared about God, people and truth. That is why I love him so. The Bible teaches in Galatians 2:20 that we don't live the Christian life in our own human strength; but rather, Jesus lives the Christian life through us (i.e., the fruit of the Holy Spirit), by God's grace, the same way we got saved. To live the Christian life in our own flawed human strength, is to attempt to keep the law to please God, which is a sin. Everything is a saint's life is by God's wondrous grace.

The following life-changing truth is from Dr. Jack Hyles' helpful book titled: “Grace and Truth.” I'd say that more than any other practical truth which I have learned from Brother Hyles philosophies, this has been the most memorable...
A child is not a complete person. He cannot enjoy many things that maturity will allow him to enjoy. For him many wonderful, enriching experiences yet wait that he cannot enjoy until he reaches adolescence and adulthood.

The adolescent is not a complete person, for there are many rich and satisfying endeavors that can be enjoyed only by adults.

The adult may or may not be a complete person; that choice is up to him.

The child-adolescent-adult is a complete person. This is a person who, when he became an adolescent did not substitute adolescence for childhood, but ADDED adolescence to childhood.

Then when adulthood came, he did not substitute adulthood for adolescence but rather added adulthood to adolescence and childhood. He retained his childhood enjoyment and added to it the enjoyments of adolescence. He then retained his childhood and adolescent enjoyments and added to them adult enjoyments. He then became the complete person with a complete set of appetites, delights and fulfillments.

Why riot make a list of all the enjoyments unique to childhood. Have you retained them, or did you trade them for the enjoyments of youth? Everyone enjoys a teenager who, while possessing the maturity of youth, still possesses the excitement, exuberance and warmth of a child. We all know of adults who have added adolescence to childhood and adulthood to adolescence. This may be what charisma really is. There is a bit of little boy in every attractive adult male personality. There is an obvious pleasance or a bit of adolescence in every adult male personality. Likewise the attractive woman has a bit of little girl in her. She also has retained the flavor of adolescence in her mature, adult personality.

In many of our schools the best teaching is done in the lower grades. Such teachers can appeal to a child because they have retained a bit of childhood in their personalities. The same is true with a youth worker. Perhaps a youth worker is one who has kept his youth while becoming an adult. He was not willing to sacrifice youth for maturity and adulthood, but rather chose to retain his youth while adding the maturity of adulthood.

Think for a moment of some people whose presence you enjoy the most. Notice carefully and you will see that these people are childish, juvenile adults. This is why little children enjoy their presence. This is the reason that young people love to be with them and that other childish, juvenile adults enjoy their company. To be sure, such a person may draw criticism from incomplete people. The suave teenager may not like the teenager who has retained a touch of childhood. The drab adult may not enjoy the presence of the childish, juvenile adult. Perhaps the incomplete man will even develop a jealousy for the complete man. This perhaps is prompted by envy and covetousness.
All of us know of a young person who has gone off to college and has come home a different person, much to the dismay and disappointment of his parents. We also know of a young person who has gone off to college to return the same person who is just more mature and able to enjoy more of life. Such people bring delight and satisfaction to their parents. A farmer worked hard to send his son to the state University. While working in the field one day a neighbor asked him if he had noticed any difference in his son since he had been to the university for a fear The farmer replied, "Yep. You ain't never seen so much change in one young'in'. Before he went to the university, when he would plow, he would say to the mule at the end of the row, 'Whoa, Reb. Turn around and giddup.' Now that he has been to the university for a year he says, 'Halt, Rebecca, pivot and proceed.'" (It is the opinion of this author that "the mule walked on.")
The childish, juvenile adult enlarges his potential for service to mankind. He is not a specialist able to work just with children, nor is he a specialist able to work just with teenagers, nor is he limited to working only with adults. He has enough child in him to work with children, enough youth in him to work with young people and enough maturity to work with adults. Fortunate is such a person and fortunate are those privileged to be near him.
I am thinking now of a great preacher whom I found one day playing hopscotch with some children. I think Of another great man of God whom I found One day Playing marbles with some junior boys. Such IL Person makes a better pastor, for he can appeal to all ages. He makes a better parent, for he can have the proper rapport with his children at every stage of development. He will have a richer life, for he will be able to enjoy the company of any age. He will be a better leader, for he will know the heartbeat of each follower. He will be a more desirable person, for all ages will enjoy his presence. He will be more versatile in that his appeal will span all of life. He will never really grow old, for even in his senior years, he will still in some ways be a little boy and a young man.
I think of my mother, who at this writing is 86 years of age; yet every time I talk to her I see the twinkling eye of a child, the mischievousness of childhood, the optimism and expectancy of a teenager, the glamour of a young woman, the endurance of youth and the wisdom of adulthood wrapped up in one personality. This is why she, at the age of 86, attracts little children and teenagers as well as adults. There are people in their forties who are older than Mother. She is a childish, juvenile adult who refused to trade the joys of childhood for the joys of adolescence, or the joys of adolescence for the joys of adulthood. She has retained them all and in so doing has kept her appeal to others and her enjoyment of others regardless of the age.
In 2nd Peter 3:18 we are admonished to grow in grace. The word "grow" could be better translated "increase." It means to keep what you have and add more. It is like a growing tree. While the tree adds branches, it keeps its trunk. While it adds leaves, it keeps its branches. It is like an army which takes ground. It does not give up what it had; it adds new land to the land that already has been conquered. In other words, growing in grace is "adding to," not "substituting for."
1. Do not exchange poverty for riches. The wise person will add riches to poverty. There are some enjoyments that are unique to poverty. How tragic it is when one gives up these enjoyments that are so rich that they cannot be bought with money in order to exchange them for things less valuable which can be bought with money. Such a person becomes poverty stricken because of his riches and trades that which cannot be bought by money for that which can be bought by money. This type of individual can be the poor rich man or the rich poor man.
I think of my good friend, Russell Anderson, from Ypsilanti, Michigan. Though his wealth enables him purchase whatever he would want, his wife Maxine still sews for the children and makes their clothes. She often trades at discount stores where the common person trades. They often raise a garden. In other words, because they were once poor they learned the enjoyments of the poor. Now that they are wealthy they have kept their poverty and have doubled their enjoyment rather than substituted one for another.
2. Do not trade simplicity for profundity. Though every Person should strive to become as profound in profession and field as he possibly can, he should not with the acquiring of profundity discard the pleasures of simplicity. In reality no one can be profound who has not retained his simplicity, for he will be completely unable to transfer his profundity to others. Simplicity is the tool with which profundity is transferred. Simplicity is the conveyer by which profundity is transported. Without simplicity, profundity is a house built upon the sand. Our Lord was the master at adding profundity to simplicity. He could take the deepest and most profound truths and wrap them with the simplest of terms. The deepest of doctrines were conveyed to us by such stories as a boy running off from home, a lady losing a coin, a lamb getting lost from the flock, a man going out to plow, a farmer sowing in the field, etc. When one becomes profoundly simple, richly poor, simply complicated, discerningly naïve, weakly strong, conservatively aggressive, excitedly serious, unpredictably stable and unknowingly educated, he has arrived at a place to where he can live the rich life of being a childish, juvenile adult.
I really like that lesson! I don't want to grow up, I want to be a Toys R' Us kid! Dr. Hyles admitted that he had learned many of his philosophies from Evangelist John R. Rice (1895-1980), but I don't know which ones. Brother Hyles and Dr. Rice shared preaching platforms together for 20 years across America, preaching at 2,200 meetings together at churches, conventions and tent revivals. Praise God! I thank God for these dear saintly men and their lingering soulwinning influence upon the world for Jesus Christ.

The Devil Is A Beautiful Liar

2nd Corinthians 11:13-15, “For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.”

Remember, the Devil is a beautiful liar! The preceding passage of Scripture to me is fascinating. I marvel at THE TRUTH. Truth is often stranger than fiction, and this truth certainly fits that proper description. It goes contrary to our human concept of Satan (who is the embodiment of pure evil), that such a dastardly individual could also masquerade and disguise himself as one of God's righteous angels. But why not, knowing Scripturally that the Devil is in fact Lucifer, the fallen archangel. Isaiah 14:12, “How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning!  how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!” By the way, the word “Lucifer” has been removed from most of the Devil's modern English Bible revisions! Now why would they do that? If you go back and read our text passage from 2nd Corinthians 11:13-15, you'll have your answer! Satan is a master counterfeiter, the evil father of all liars, a shady con-artist of all con-artists!!!

If I were the Devil, I would fabricate my deceptions and lies as close to the truth as possible, to deceive my victims. Dear friend, that is EXACTLY how the Devil operates! Satan knows that if he makes his deadly deceptions too obvious, then people will avoid his traps.

I have been trying to catch some pesky rats and mice that scurry around my kitchen night and day. They got into my bread a few times, eating right through the plastic bags, so I bought a big hard plastic container at Lowe's to put all my bread inside, which is working well. I caught one of the bigger rats in a glue trap last week. So I put some more glue traps out, but the other rats and mice have been avoiding them. I did some reading online to see if rats can learn to avoid traps, and sure enough, they do! Rats learn quickly. People are the same way when the Devil tries to entrap them, so Satan gets even more clever and sneaky.

Billy Graham Was Satan's Minister Of Unrighteousness

Here are the heretical words of perhaps the world's most famous modern evangelist, Billy Graham (1918-2018), from his own website. Tragically, this is a false Gospel which cannot produce the new birth...
How To Be Sure You're Saved

First, you must recognize your need.

Second, you must understand the cross.

Third, you must count the cost.

He also said, “Which of you, intending to build a tower, does not sit down first and count the cost? … So likewise, whoever of you does not forsake all that he has cannot be My disciple” (Luke 14:28, 33).

Many people come to Christ without first counting the cost. The cost includes repentance, the forsaking of sin, and a continual, daily, open acknowledgment of Christ in your life.

Fourth, you must take a definite step.

One day at Stanford University, a student of a non-Christian faith came to me and said he was convinced that Jesus is the Son of God but said he couldn’t confess Him publicly. He said that back in his own country the cost socially would be too great.

I had to tell him that the Bible says: “Whoever confesses Me before men, him I will also confess before My Father who is in heaven. But whoever denies Me before men, him I will also deny before My Father who is in heaven” (Matthew 10:32-33).

Like the rich young ruler of old, the student went away sad. He had counted the cost and was not able to pay the price of open acknowledgment of Jesus Christ as his Savior.

We ask people to make a public confession of Christ in our meetings because Christ demanded a definite commitment. Christ had reasons for demanding that people openly follow Him. He knew that an unwitnessed vow is no vow at all. Until you have surrendered to Christ by a definite act of your will, you are not a Christian.

Liar, liar, soul and body on fire in Hell!!!

Billy Graham has woefully confused discipleship with salvation, mixing the two, which is another gospel that cannot produce the new birth by the Holy Spirit of God. One of my very favorite quotes, comes from one of my favorite Gospel preachers, John Bunyan:
“If you do not put a difference between justification wrought by the man Christ without and sanctification wrought by the Spirit of Christ within, you are not able to divide the Word aright; but contrariwise, you corrupt the Word of God, and cast stumbling blocks before the people.” —John Bunyan (1628-1688)
Every pastor and every layman should memorize that precious quote, as I have also.

The apostle Paul writes to the saints in Rome (Romans 1:7). Paul pleads with the saints in Rome to “present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service” to the Lord (Romans 12:1-2). Now if discipleship were required to be saved, then these people could not have been saints. The Bible tells us that Paul wrote (under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit) the book of Romans to the saints (meaning they were saved):
Romans 1:6-8, “Among whom are ye also the called of Jesus Christ: To all that be in Rome, beloved of God, called to be saints: Grace to you and peace from God our Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ. First, I thank my God through Jesus Christ for you all, that your faith is spoken of throughout the whole world.”
Clearly, the Bible teaches that a person CAN be born-again, and yet sinfully CHOOSE to be conformed to this world, failing to present their body as a living sacrifice to serve God. If it were not a choice, a matter of freewill, then Paul wouldn't be making an appeal unto the saints at Rome to choose to offer their bodies as a living sacrifice to serve God. You see, the Apostle Paul is rightly keeping discipleship completely separate from salvation. Paul is keeping sanctification (growing in grace), completely separate from justification (being born-again).

Yet, Billy Graham is corrupted theologically, big time! In the same article and link that I just shared with you earlier from Graham's website, he errantly teaches that the rich young ruler in Luke 18 “had counted the cost and was not able to pay the price of open acknowledgment of Jesus Christ as his Savior.” That is trash theology ladies and gentlemen!!!

Would you please read John 12:42-43 with me, proving that Mr. Graham a fraud:
“Nevertheless among the chief rulers also many believed on him; but because of the Pharisees they did not confess him, lest they should be put out of the synagogue: For they loved the praise of men more than the praise of God.”
Dr. John R. Rice (1895-1980) taught me in his Bible commentaries a wonderful truth. Dr. Rice is the only preacher I know of, so far, whom I've heard comment on The Rich Young Ruler, who interprets this passages correctly. Dr. Rice says that Jesus was using the Old Testament law the way God intended for it to be used, to show this young man that he is a needy sinner incapable of perfectly keeping the law to merit Heaven. Thus seeing his inability to measure up to God's perfect standard of righteousness (the law), a man is brought to Christ to be saved by grace through faith (Romans 3:19-20; Galatians 3:24-26). Jesus wasn't giving this young man a plan of salvation (as Billy Graham falsely claims); but rather, Jesus was using the law as intended, to show the young lad that in fact he hadn't perfectly kept the law since his youth. Notice what the lad said to Jesus in Luke 18:21, “And he said, All these have I kept from my youth up. You see, the young man was self-righteous, just like Billy Graham.

But you say, “Wait a minute, I heard Billy Graham say many times that eternal life is a free gift, which we cannot earn by works.” Yes, but as Michael Bowen rightly points out in his helpful book titled: “I NEVER KNEW YOU,” Billy Graham's demonic false gospel subtly teaches grace plus works for salvation (please read this carefully, it will open your eyes):
Billy says that we cannot earn our salvation no matter what we do, no matter how many good deeds we do, but immediately afterward he tells everyone that they must change their behavior, submit their inner wills to Christ, and to stop sinning. He gives verses that tell us to believe on Christ alone and that salvation is a free gift given to us the instant we believe, such as John 3:16 and Ephesians 2:8-9, yet he turns right around and says that we must make a 180-degree change in our direction, that it takes a lot of effort on our part to do these things, and that we should determine with all of our efforts to follow Christ.

He then says that we don’t have the power to follow Christ unless the Holy Spirit enables us to do so. Billy will then usually tell us again that we must commit our lives to Christ and that we must become practicing disciples of Jesus in order to be born again, but at the same time, he knocks everyone off balance when he turns right back around to tell his audience that salvation is free and that it is received by faith alone and that we cannot do a single thing to earn it. Then Billy demands again and again that we must quit sinning in order to be saved, but directly afterward he rotates back and forth from “quit sinning” to “you can do nothing of yourself to earn it.”

He says that salvation is free, but immediately afterward he says that we must carefully consider the costs of following Christ. “Costs” is the opposite of “free,” yet, nobody will dare to question Billy Graham about the validity of what he is saying because he is, in fact, so forceful in his tone of voice and in his facial expressions that I am convinced people are afraid of him. The glare alone from his stern stare that one can easily see in his eyes as they sweep across the masses of people in his audience is enough to keep people from ever questioning the validity of his teachings.

Again and again, Billy says that salvation is not of yourselves, that it is a free gift, but then quickly does a U-turn and makes your salvation dependent upon quitting your sins and devoting your life to discipleship. Then, to make matters worse, Billy makes everlasting life in heaven dependent upon your walking down the isle and making your decision to follow Christ “as your Lord” public. Billy says that Christ will not acknowledge you before His Father if you do not acknowledge Him before other people, which, in context, means that you will not go to heaven unless you tell other people that you have made a decision to follow Christ.

Then Billy will usually tell his audience that salvation is, again, a free gift that cannot be earned no matter what we do. It is, by far, Graham’s terse persona that captivates and influences an audience rather than the Holy Spirit of God. Hypothetically speaking, how would you feel if you were in a car with someone the likes of whom I am about to describe? Imagine you are trying to get somewhere that you’ve never been before and the person next to you says this:

“Okay, take a left, and then take a right, and then stop, back up, take another right. Wait. Take another left. My map is correct! Trust me! Stop. Go right again, then turn left. Can’t you go any faster? Okay, turn right here. Stop. Take a left, then take another left. Wait. Go back. Can’t you do anything right? Start over. Go right, then left, go sharply right now. Stop! Can’t you follow my directions? Back up and take another right. Wait, go left. Trust me, I know where I’m taking you!” That, reader, is the sad yet accurate equivalent of the plan of salvation according to Billy Graham. It will get you nowhere. “There is an increasing number of ‘evangelicals’ today who are preaching that in order for a man to be saved he must not only receive Christ as his Savior, but also must make Him absolute Lord and Master of his life. This doctrine has been termed “Lordship salvation” and has absolutely no support from the Word of God. It is, in fact, another subtle way Satan has invented to get Bible-believing men to add works to salvation without, perhaps, their realizing it, and to do it in such a way that it sounds spiritual and good” (Stanford, 87-88).

We would all agree that quitting sins and bad habits is the right thing to do, and that following Christ and doing the things that He says to do is the right and honorable way to live in every case or situation we might find ourselves in, but quitting your sins and bad habits, as well as following Christ to the best of your ability, are not part of God’s simple plan of salvation. As good as the Christian Lifestyle is, no aspect of it is included in God’s salvation contract with humankind. Living the Christian Lifestyle and doing all of those wonderful deeds that we are supposed to do as born again Christians comes “after” we are saved, not before.

SOURCE: I NEVER KNEW YOU (.pdf), by Michael P. Bowen; by Barbour Books, © 2009; pages 137-138

I've never read a better explanation of what is wrong with Billy Graham's heretical plan of salvation (or better said, “
plan of damnation”). Remember what I said at the beginning of this blog—the Devil fabricates his lies and deceptions as close to THE TRUTH as possible, to deceive his victims.

Michael Bowen is absolutely correct, quitting your sins and bad habits, as well as following Christ to the best of your ability, are not part of God’s simple plan of salvation. As good as the Christian Lifestyle is, no aspect of it is included in God’s salvation contract with humankind. Dear reader, YOU must decide whom to believe and trust. Are you going to trust Billy Graham's very different plan of salvation than the Bible's? Or are you going to trust what Jesus Himself said in John 6:47, Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me hath everlasting life.

Either faith alone in the Gospel (Good News) of Jesus Christ crucified on a cross, buried and bodily resurrected the third day is enough to save a needy sinner (1st Corinthians 15:1-6); or else it is not enough, and Billy Graham is right, who says that to be saved, you must forsake your sinful behavior, serve God and for the rest of your life continue to openly confess the name of Jesus everywhere you go, paying the price. Whom are you going to believe my friend? Will you believe JESUS, who has already paid the price for your sins with His precious blood (1st Peter 1:18-19)? Or will you believe Billy Graham, who says YOU must count the cost and pay the price to be saved? The true Gospel always points you to CHRIST; a false gospel always points to YOU. Always remember, the Devil is a beautiful liar!

Evangelist Billy Sunday (1862-1935)

Don't Put God On Trial For Life's Miseries

Job 1:20-22, Then Job arose, and rent his mantle, and shaved his head, and fell down upon the ground, and worshipped, And said, Naked came I out of my mother's womb, and naked shall I return thither: the LORD gave, and the LORD hath taken away; blessed be the name of the LORD. In all this Job sinned not, nor charged God foolishly.

I admit that there have been times in my life when I wasn't very patient with God. I was angry at the Lord for not answering my prayers, for ignoring me and letting me suffer. But I never lost my faith in God. Mark 11:22, “And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God.
In time I had to decide if I was going to place God on trial, as the heathen world does; or else I was going to give God the benefit of the doubt, taking Him at His Word in the Holy Bible that He cares about me (1st Peter 5:7), that He has a purpose for my life (Romans 8:29), that He hears my prayers (1st Peter 3:12), that He knows my every thought and action (Psalms 139:1-6), that He remembers I am made of dust (Psalms 103:14). I read in 2nd Corinthians 5:7, “(For we walk by faith, not by sight:)” If I am to walk BY FAITH, then I shouldn't be looking for visible results in response to my prayers.

One of the things that discourages me the most, is shallow uncaring Pastors like Marty Herron, Gary Walton (the Bob Jones University crowd), and Jeff Redlin (Pensacola Christian College). These ungodly men are as shallow as can be, academic types who woefully lack God's love and compassion for people. They are not church builders; but rather, church stealers and corrupters! They don't genuinely walk with God, so they don't love people. No pastor is close to God who abuses, ignores, mistreats and shuns people (which all these horrible religious men are sinfully guilty of). I've been in their churches and they are phonies.

Anyway, we ought not place God on trial for what carnally-minded pastors do to us. God is not to blame for what wicked men do! So we ought not blame God for the rotten things that bad pastors, carnal churches and horrible people do to us. We are living in perilous times (2nd Timothy 3:1-7). We live in times of a woeful lack of mercy. On June 17th, 2022 I mailed pastor Jeff Redlin an apology letter and asked for his forgiveness, with an offer to make peace with Campus Church, but he has completely ignored me, refusing to make peace. That is exactly what the Bible foretold would happen in the Last Days, people would refuse to show mercy.

Times will only get worse! I have met countless people in my life who were incessantly bitter against God. That is not good. Please don't blame God for the mess that our society is in today. Hey, God didn't legalize abortion in 1973. Over the past 49 years (1973-2022), Americans have brutally MURDRED over 63,000,000 precious babies in the womb. That is more unnecessary deaths than all wars combined!!!

Consequently, the booming "Baby Boomer" generation is now getting ready to retire, but 63,000,000 Americans are MISSING (i.e., bread winners, tax payers)!!! So there is not enough money to finance the retirement for Baby Boomers. So the federal government is raising the age of retirement up and up and up. Eventually you won't be allowed to retire until you're 80 years old! Most Americans will die long before they ever see a single penny from Social Security. Americans have done this to themselves, by recklessly and sinfully fornicating and committing adultery, conceived unwanted children. The problem is not abortion, but wicked Americans who want to continue living in gross immorality (Hebrews 13:4). Less than .001% (1 in 1,000) of all pregnancies are the result of foul place (i.e., incest, rape, et cetera). Our ungodly sinful American culture protects the rights of evildoers, and rewards fools for being reckless and irresponsible. And then they actually expect taxpayers to pay for it all.

Please don't put God on trial for what evil men do. Matthew 24:11-12, “And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many. And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.” God is not to blame for lying false prophets, Satan is. God is not to blame because we allow sin (iniquity) to flourish (abound). Evil is deliberate sin. Abortion is premediated murder, more than just a sin, it is evil. Looking at indecent images is evil if you planned to do it. Certainly the wicked people who produce the indecent images are evil, because they planned to do it on purpose. THAT IS EVIL!!!

There is much evil in the United States today. That is, there is much sin done deliberately. Car rental companies knowingly lie and deceive customers, offering low-ball prices that they know will not be honored when all is said and done. That $27 a day rent car will end up costing you $150 or more by the time the agent is done manipulating you!!! I've had them do it to me multiple times. Car rental companies are dirty thieves!!! The same can be said of shady hotel advertisements, shady apartment rental ads online, shady insurance company ads, et cetera. At the end of the day they are all LIARS!!!

I am over 50 years of age, which is when men start having issues with enlarged prostate. Several dozen different supplements are available, with Saw Palmetto being the main thrill. But I did some homework, as I always try to do, and learned that such supplements are a total waste of money! Greedy people will LIE and say anything to get your money! I trust a doctor who has nothing to gain from warning men about useless supplements. When we consider the literally tens of thousands of deceptions, lies and falsehoods in the world today, it is not difficult to understanding why so many people hate and blame God for this world's woes and miseries. But we know Biblically that sin is the culprit, and not our wonderful Creator. Ecclesiastes 7:29, “Lo, this only have I found, that God hath made man upright; but they have sought out many inventions.”

If your Dad buys you a Daisy BB gun for your birthday, and you go shoot your eye out being stupid with it, is you Dad to blame for buying you a BB gun? Well, he is to blame, in part, if your Dad didn't teach you how to safely use, store and handle the gun. But God has taught mankind (in His Holy Word) how to live and handle this life, but men aren't following God's instructions. Homosexuality is against God's Word, common sense and nature itself (Romans 1:24-32). Public nudity is against God's Word (1st Peter 2:11; 1st Timothy 2:9). Abortion is against God's Word (Exodus 20:13). I could go on all day citing Scriptures! We have the freedom, but not the right, to live any way that we so choose, in violation of God's Word. We have brought miseries upon ourselves in society, by disobeying God's Word.

But there are other times in life when God wants us to suffer, and go through hard times, so we can learn from them (1st Peter 1:7-9). The trial of our faith worketh patience. God's ultimate goal is to conform each and every Christian saint into the very image of Jesus (Romans 8:29). God has a plan and purpose for every life. We were created to please God (Revelation 4:11). Blessed be the name of the Lord!!!

I got rear-ended by a church bus in 1992, my type of work as a mechanic aggravated my injury, and then I fell down a mailslide at work in 2005. My neck is a mess! I suffer in relentless horrible neck pain 24/7, with intense burning nerves throughout my body, and intermittent radiating pain shooting down both arms and legs, and the right side of my body always feels half asleep, and both of my arms fell like they're inflated with air, and I feel constant irritating tension from inside my neck (intense stiffness), et cetera. I am miserable physically all the time. That is one reason why I have never remarried since my first wife abandoned me in 2006. I simply don't feel like going out to have a social life. I could marry a mail-order bride from the Philippines, and I am seriously thinking about it. I've been looking at ChristianFilipina.com lately. What else am I to do? I have prayed for years, to no avail. But I refuse to get mad at or blame God. It is not God's fault that my first wife divorced me. God is a good God and I know that He loves me. If God wanted me to have a wife, He would lead me and her together. I could have married a foreign wife anywhere along the way, but I have been reluctant to meet a stranger over the internet. But that may be my only option. God is good.

God is so good. That is all I am saying in this blog. GOD IS SO GOOD! He's so good to me. Never blame God for the problems, death of a loved one, sorrows, crimes, painful situations, unbearable circumstances, et cetera. I don't know what circumstances happened to the Apostle Paul in Asia, but they despaired even of life itself:
2nd Corinthians 1:8-11, “For we would not, brethren, have you ignorant of our trouble which came to us in Asia, that we were pressed out of measure, above strength, insomuch that we despaired even of life: But we had the sentence of death in ourselves, that we should not trust in ourselves, but in God which raiseth the dead: Who delivered us from so great a death, and doth deliver: in whom we trust that he will yet deliver us; Ye also helping together by prayer for us, that for the gift bestowed upon us by the means of many persons thanks may be given by many on our behalf.”
There is much theological debate among Bible scholars over what Paul means in this intriguing passage. Did they contemplate committing suicide? Did they want to die because of the hardships they were enduring? Did they think they were going to die because of the dire circumstances? We simply do not know for sure. The word “despaired” is the Greek word exaporeomai, which means: to be utterly at a loss, that is, despond.” They were at the end of their rope, so to speak. I humbly think that they welcomed death because of their sorrows. The Bible doesn't say they considered death; but rather, they despaired of life. I've been there in the past! There were times in my life, more than once, when I just didn't want to live anymore. I wanted to die, but I wasn't suicidal. There's a big difference!

Dear friend, we all have burdens, a past, a Skeleton Closet, scars, sorrows of the heart and emotional baggage which we will carry until death. Settle it once and for all in your mind and heart that God is a good God, greatly to be praised, and He deserves are love and praises continually, regardless of life's circumstances. The Apostle Paul had learned this great truth, which is why while in prison he could still sing hymns, write epistles, pray and praise the Lord.
