Thank God For Fundamentalist Christianity

Jeremiah 6:16, “Thus saith the LORD, Stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls. But they said, We will not walk therein.”

I am humbled that a ministry friend made this photo using A.I. The photo is of his pastor Larry Lowe far left, then Curtis Hutson, John R. Rice, Jack Hyles, myself and Steven Anderson. He said these are his favorite Bible preachers. I don't think I am worthy to be in the same group of men, but it humbles my heart that the man who made this photo does. Jesus said without Him we can do nothing (John 15:5). If there is any greatness in me at all, it is the precious LORD JESUS CHRIST! Thank God for Christian fundamentalism!

I said the heresy of John MacArthur! I said the heresy of John MacArthur! And somebody that's got several thousand people to hear 'em, who can go across this country, has got to alert Baptists that we have false teachers in our midst who are no longer teaching and preaching salvation by grace through faith plus nothing. “Be on guard against any tampering with the Word, whether disguised as a search for truth, or a scholarly attempt at apparently hidden meanings; and beware of the confusion created by the senseless rash of new versions, translations, editions, and improvements upon the tried and tested Bible of our fathers and grandfathers.” —Pastor M.R. DeHaan (1891-1965), “The Tabernacle,” p. 101

“One of the great sins of Christianity, and especially fundamental Christianity, is this sin of losing our responsiveness; and losing our response to stimuli, or to a given stimulus. “There has always been a devilish supernaturalism in the world, running alongside of the supernaturalism of divine grace and salvation.” —Evangelist John R. Rice (1895-1980), “Revelation,” p. 211

“They consider me radical, and I am not radical today, and don't you buy into that. And you know, I don't like when people from our church think: 'Oh yeah, our pastor is so extreme! He's so radical.' That is not true! I'm a Bible-believing preacher. There's nothing extreme or radical other than what the Bible is saying being extreme. If you want to call it 'extreme' or 'radical,' than that's what you're saying about the Bible, because there's nothing that I preach that is not in this Book. And if there is, tell me about it and I'll change it. I'll quit preaching it. There's nothing radical about what I preach. Our society has become radically wicked! And so, when a preacher just gets up and preaches a normal sermon, they think: 'Hey, you cross the line Buddy!' No, I didn't cross the line, you removed the landmark. You moved the line. I'm not crossing the line at all, I'm preaching the Bible today.” —Pastor Steven Anderson, "Man Of God"

And you know, obviously yeah, I've been blessed in a lot of ways, but I've also gone through some really hard things that you might not want to go through. So we all have pros and cons to our life. If all our troubles were hung on a line, you'd take yours and I'd take mine, because we're all going through different stuff.” —Pastor Steven Anderson, "Rich Men In James"

“The conversion of Cornelius and his household completely contradicts the notion that faith must be coupled with prayer in order to result in salvation. Acts 10:43, 'To him give all the prophets witness, that through his name whosoever believeth in him shall receive remission of sins. 'While Peter yet spake these words...' Don't miss that! 'While Peter yet spake these words, the Holy Ghost fell on all them which heard the word.' Notice, 'WHILE PETER YET SPAKE THESE WORDS, the Holy Ghost fell on all them which heard the word.' Why? Because their hearing was mixed with faith. These men were saved while the preacher was still speaking.”—Evangelist Onorato Diamante, "Steven Anderson Is DEAD WRONG About the Sinner’s Prayer"

Much harm is fueled by social media posts from individuals with no direct knowledge or facts when a tragedy happens. Unfounded rumors only make the situation worse, and each of us are called to love, mourn, care, and keep our eyes fixed on Jesus.

“When you get dissed by men—the whole reason God allowed you to be dissed—is because He didn't want you to fit in! He don't want you to fit in with the world. I guarantee you, you'll be just like the new-evangelical crowd in a few years, unless we stop to realize that we're supposed to walk in the Spirit of God almighty!” —Pastor Jack Hyles, “What Blocks You From The Spirit Filled Life?”

“I am so sick and tired of Christian people gettin' mad at each other because of the dollar, I don't know what to do. I wonder sometimes if there is anybody left that's spiritual. I really do. I mean, fuss about a dollar. If a guy wants some of your money, let him have the money! I mean, I spend a lot of my time refereeing fights of people in this church, who get mad at each other because of money. Listen, there's not enough of that to fight over.” —Pastor Jack Hyles, “What Blocks You From The Spirit Filled Life?”
