He Made The Stars Also

Genesis 1:16, “And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: he made the stars also.”

Astronomers tell us that at present they have discovered at least 200 sextillion stars. That's the number two with 23 zeroes behind it. Scientists tell us that there are between 100 quintillion to one septillion grains of sand upon the earth. Yet, astronomers say that there are at least 30 stars for every grain of sand in the observable universe. Wow, God is truly more than amazing!

God is faithful. I've been listening to astronomy videos on YouTube while I sleep at night. Our sun is 93,000,000 miles away from the earth. the next closest star to earth is Alpha Centauri, which is about 25,695,600,000,00 miles away! So when you look up at the stars in the sky at night, remember that they are all at least 25,695,600,000,000 miles away!

Psalms 145:3, “Great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised; and his greatness is unsearchable.”

The farthest known star from Earth is called Earendel, located about 28 billion light-years away in the constellation Cetus. It was discovered using the Hubble Space Telescope and is believed to have emitted light when the universe was only about 900 million years old.​ ​In scientific notation that number of miles is 1.6464e+23​. That is, the farthest known star from earth is one hundred sixty-four sextillion six hundred forty quintillion​ miles away. God is more than amazing! Written out, that number would look like this...

​Did you know that it would take 31,700 years to count to one trillion? It's true. And that's if you could count non-stop 24 hours a day with no breaks, and if you could read numbers like 735,364,922,456 in a second. Good luck with that! Realistically, it would require at least 150,000 years to count to one trillion. God's greatness is truly unsearchable.

And to think that the blessed Holy Spirit of such an amazing, loving, wonderful, forgiving and faithful Creator wanted to live in my soul as His redeemed child (Romans 8:9; 1st Corinthians 3:16-17; 1st John 3:24). John 14:23, “Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.” What an awesome Savior!!!

Now, what we just calculated is merely the farthest known star, mankind still has not discovered what lies beyond the outer limits of our technology and the universe. No one except God knows how big the universe is. We don't know if it has an end. How could that even be possible? Can the universe be endless? Every field of known science confirms that the universe simply cannot be endless. The unfathomable mystery is mind-numbing to say the least and the only logical answer is God.

I have greatly enjoyed watching hundreds of astronomy videos over the past few months, learning all I can about God's magnificent creation. God created everything by the mere Word of His mouth (2nd Peter 3:5). This is the only true and living God, the divine omnipotent Author of the inspired King James Bible. The universe testifies to the greatness, faithfulness, brilliance and goodness of God (Psalms 19:1-3).

The Wickedness Of The Heathen World

That being said, my soul is continually grieved every time I hear skeptics and unbelievers attribute the grandeur of the universe to natural occurrences instead of our Creator. The Scripture is abundantly clear that God made all things. Genesis 1:1, “In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.” In fact, it was Jesus who made all things according to John 1:3 (only the inspired King James Bible accurately uses “by” and not “through”). God the Father did not create all things through His only begotten Son; “All things were made by him [Jesus]; and without him was not any thing made that was made.” Case settled.

If you go visit NASA's website to learn their official position on how the earth and moon were formed, you'll read some of the best FICITON you'll ever found. NASA teaches:

Blasphemy! What wicked ingrates at NASA to rob the Lord of His due glory and praise as our Creator. It gets worse, I have seen numerous astronomy videos which attribute the creation of the massive oceans to steam from lava and ice crystals on meteorites over billions of years. Since NASA's engineers and scientists design, launch and control their marvels of technology, when they speak the world listens. Tragically, NASA speaks for the Devil. Oceans formed on Earth as a result of water accumulating over billions of years, primarily from water vapor released by volcanic activity and from icy comets and asteroids colliding with the planet. This process began after Earth cooled enough to allow water to exist in liquid form, around 3.8 billion years ago. NASA and PBS

To embrace such unscientific lunacy, you'd have to either be a very stupid individual, a coward who's afraid to tell the truth, or a chronically dishonest and ungrateful God-hating fool. The inspired Word of God teaches that everyone in their youth KNOWS there is a God. Romans 1:21, “Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.” There is no such thing as an atheist, only fools who deny the plain truth.

Dear reader, I sincerely hope that you are not gullible enough to accept the balderdash that two large rocks collided to form the earth and moon. And then accept the tommyrot that as lava cooled and millions of meteorites slammed into the earth the oceans (as much as 37,000 feet deep) were formed. If you believe that poppycock, then I have some tropical rainforest land at the North Pole I'd like to sell you. NASA are out of their brilliant but insane minds!

Oh friend, why not just accept the plain teaching of the inspired Scripture that God created the universe and all therein? Psalms 96:5, “For all the gods of the nations are idols: but the LORD made the heavens.”

Isaiah 40:28, “Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard, that the everlasting God, the LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary? there is no searching of his understanding.”

Isaiah 42:5, “Thus saith God the LORD, he that created the heavens, and stretched them out; he that spread forth the earth, and that which cometh out of it; he that giveth breath unto the people upon it, and spirit to them that walk therein.”
