I watched a disturbing YouTube video today by Pastor Dana Coverstone of Living Word Ministries Assemblies of God in Burkesville, Kentucky. In the heretical video, Pastor Dana makes the unbiblical claim that God spoke to him in three dreams, and he believes God wants him to warn the saints, with his special message from God. We KNOW that Mr. Coverstone is a liar and a false prophet. What saith the Scripture? Hebrews 1:1-2, “God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets, Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;”
Mr. Coverstone shares three prophetic dreams he has had, and their alleged relationship to current as well as near future world events. As Bible-believing Christians we should all adamantly reject such scriptural claims, and refute them as heretical. It doesn't matter if Pastor Coverstone says some accurate and truthful things, he is a false prophet for having claimed to receive a PRIVATE REVELATION from God. If you want to hear God speak audibly, then read the Holy Bible out loud!
Pentecostals are messed up doctrinally in some areas, including salvation. Most of the Pentecostals I have met don't believe in eternal security. If you live a life of willful sin, they believe you are not saved. Assemblies Of God are Pentecostals, same as Charismatics. Kindly, Pastor Coverstone sounds like a nutcase when he speaks of having dreams from God. Miss Ellen G. White of the Seventh-Day Adventists was another nutcase, who claimed to have received thousands of visions from God, claiming to be an end times prophet for God. Ellen said God wanted her to confirm His end times prophesies to the saints. Ellen White was of the Devil, as is the SDA religion still today. SDA is a deadly religious cult!
Just as Ellen White was a liar, so also is Pastor Coverstone, because he claims God is speaking through him to Christians. NO, GOD IS NOT SPEAKING THROUGH ANYBODY, EXCEPT JESUS IN THE INSPIRED WORD OF GOD!!! We know Pastor Coverstone is very wrong. What saith the Scripture? 2nd Peter 1:20, “Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.” Jesus is the Living Word (john 1:1-3, 14). Revelation 19:13 calls Jesus 'THE WORD OF GOD.' The Bible is the Written Word. Jesus told us in John 5:39 to 'SEARCH THE SCRIPTURES' to learn of him. Beware of Pastor Coverstone, he is a false prophet. The Bible says God only speaks to us through His Son, as recorded in the inspired Word of God.
