Seventh-Day Adventists (SDA) call this heresy "Investigative Judgment," in which they claim Jesus investigates our individual lives to decide whether we are “worthy” to enter Heaven or not. The Bible already tells us that everyone is unworthy of salvation (Romans 3:10-23). SDA's teach a form of Lordship Salvation, in which the life you choose to live must validate your profession of Christian faith. Thus, SDA's require works to prove that one is really saved, which is a false gospel. Roman Catholics frontload the Gospel, requiring works to be saved. Seventh-Day Adventists rearload the Gospel, requiring works to prove you are saved. SDA prophetess Ellen G. White (1827-1915) confirms this in her heretical book titled, “Steps To Christ,” which I expose. Miss White was an unsaved false prophetess, the most significant figure in the SDA false religion.
According to SDA dogma, Jesus entered into the heavenly Holy Place in the year 1844. There is absolutely no Biblical teaching of this. The Holy Bible does not set any particular dates concerning prophecy. SDA's do some weird number crunching to twist the Word of God in order to come up with the year 1844. Jehovah's Witnesses are guilty of doing the same nonsense. There are some striking similarities between these two cults. One big similarity is their denial of a literal burning Hell for all Christ-rejecters who die in their sins. SDA have many strange beliefs. The Bible teaches that Christ will reign for 1,000 years from Jerusalem, and that during this time (called the Millennium) Satan will be bound in chains in the bottomless pit (Revelation 20:2). However, SDA's believe that Satan will roam the earth instead during this time, and that all humanity will be asleep in the grave, so Satan will have no one to tempt. Only in that sense do they believe the Devil will be bound. SDA's are really way out there in their religious dogma!
Seventh Day-Adventists say Jesus has been judging the saints in the heavenly Holy Place since 1844. Is any sinful human being “worthy” of heaven? Does not Romans 3:23 declare that we ALL HAVE SINNED? Yes, it most certain does! There is NO ONE “worthy” to enter Heaven, which is exactly WHY Jesus needed to shed His blood on the cross for our sins, because we could not save ourselves. We all deserve Hellfire, nothing better. But thanks be to God for sending His only begotten Son into the world to pay for our sins. John 3:16, “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
The false teaching that Christ entered into the heavenly Holy Place in 1844 is exclusive to Seventh Day-Adventism. It is a foolish doctrine, totally unbiblical, which perverts the High Priestly work of Christ. We learn in the book of Hebrews that Jesus ONCE entered into the Holy Place. Christ did this after He resurrected from the dead, which is why He commanded Mary Magdalene not to touch Him in John 20:17. Yet just a few versus later in John 20:27 we find Jesus inviting doubting Thomas to touch His hand, feet and side. During this time between verses 17 and 27, Jesus went to Heaven and appeared before the Father on our behalf, sprinkling His liquid blood upon the heavenly Mercy Seat (Hebrews 9:12, 22-24; 12:24). We are saved solely BY THE BLOOD of the Lamb of God (Romans 5:9; 1st John 1:7; Revelation 1:5, 7:14), and not by Christ analyzing who is worthy or not based upon our earthly performance. I plead with you dear friend to run from Seventh Day-Adventism. The Devil is a beautiful liar!
