Evangelist Steve Pettit's Gospel Doublespeak

2nd Corinthians 11:3-4, “But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ. For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with him.

Something is very wrong at Bob Jones University (BJU) these days! BJU's new president since 2014, Evangelist Steve Pettit, uses a lot of religious doublespeak concerning the Gospel that is confusing at best. I was listening to a chapel sermon today (July 7, 2020) and heard Dr. Pettit say to 2,700 students and faculty:
They [Judaizers in Galatians] said that faith alone is not sufficient for salvation. So what did they do? They began to insist that the Christians go back and keep the Mosaic law. ...God does not bind up His laws, put them in a covenant, and hand them to you and say, 'If you want to have a relationship with me, then you've got to fulfill this covenant of laws.'” [emphasis added] —Dr. Steve Pettit, excerpts from 'The Daily Platform' #767 - Christian Liberty, Part 1
Now please consider what Steve Pettit heretically said in chapel on January 26, 2020:
You can't just speak about getting saved, and you accepted Christ, and then that's it! There is a justification; There is a sanctification; There's ultimately a glorification, and though there are three parts, they are all part of the whole, and you cannot separate them. In order for you to qualify for the award, you have to get into the race, you have to stay in the race, and you have to finish the race. If you want to win, you have to run to the end; and winning in the Christian life is everything, because if you lose—if you don't finish—you lose everything—you lose your SOUL. And so, the Christian race is the life of faith that begins, is run, and is finished when we cross over into Heaven!” [emphasis added] —Dr. Steve Pettit (“What Does It Mean To Run 'The Race'?” - 11:34)
What a theological hypocrite!!! Dear reader, you CAN just speak about getting saved and that's it! I'm not taking his words out of context, as you can see for yourself. Dr. Pettit plainly says that of you fail to finish running 'THE RACE,' you lose your soul. You go to Hell. If you have any doubt of what I am saying, you need to read my full article exposing him. Kindly said, Mr. Pettit is a theological fool. The book of Proverbs says Proverbs 26:12, “Seest thou a man wise in his own conceit? there is more hope of a fool than of him.The Bob Jones' crowd are conceited, and that includes the shameful Harvest Baptist Church on Guam who bid Godspeed to Steve Pettit and John MacArthur, and sanction the Devil's counterfeit Bible revisions, and preach the Devil's lie of Lordship Salvation. Woe unto Harvest! Dr. Steve Pettit further digs a theological pit for himself:

How is it that Dr. Pettit sees the error of the Judaizers who added to faith alone, yet he does the very exact same horrible thing! Read more of his own words! What a false teacher! Bob Jones are “FALSE BRETHREN” because they teach a different gospel, not the Gospel of free grace by FAITH ALONE. If Mr. Pettit truly believed in “faith alone, then he would not teach that a person must RUN THE RACE to get to Heaven...

Folks, Steve Pettit's own words condemn himself and John MacArthur whom he promotes. Look what Pastor MacArthur teaches:

Talk about ADDING to grace! Did you see that big ugly word “COST” in both quotes? Dear friend, anyone who comes along preaching that God's free gift of eternal life will “COST you something is preaching another gospel. Steve Pettit and John MacArthur are preaching another gospel. When these advocates of Lordship Salvation speak of repentance,” they are in full agreement with the pseudo-Christian religious cults. The unsaved Mormons love John MacArthur's counterfeit gospel, even making his heretical book on Lordship Salvation required reading at Brigham Young University! What next, will Bob Jones University invite the Mormon Tabernacle Choir to perform at BJU? This is all so disgusting! Does anybody else care besides me that the Devil is destroying our churches through Bob Jones University, Moody Bible Institute and other apostate religious institutions today who are preaching Calvinism?

The LAW and the GOSPEL are two keys—the law is the key that shuteth up all men under condemnation, and the Gospel is the key which opens the door and lets them out. Nothing else is required to receive God's FREE GIFT of eternal life, except simple childlike faith in the Gospel, for any needy sinner who wants it. All this garbage theology about forsaking your sinful ways, running the race, committing your life to Christ, and following Jesus no matter what the cost is another gospel of the Devil. 


The Gospel Is NOT A Relationship With Christ

I am so sick and tired of hearing preachers like Steve Pettit promote having “a relationship” with Christ. The word “RELATIONSHIP” is a key word for Lordship Salvation! You won't even find the word “relationship” mentioned once in the Holy Bible!!! Why doesn't Steve Pettit call it “eternal life”? Why doesn't he call it a “free gift”? The reason why is because these terms make proponents of Lordship Salvation feel uncomfortable. Oh, sure they'll use these terms sparingly from time to time, but the general gist of their junk theology is that you must start a relationship, and maintain that relationship, if you want to go to Heaven. I just showed you the garbage theology of Steve Pettit. Their gospel is certainly not Paul's Gospel (1st Corinthians 15:1-4). Deuteronomy 32:31, “For their rock is not as our Rock, even our enemies themselves being judges.”

God knows that I have nothing against Mr. Pettit, I am simply obeying God's commandment to “earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints” (Jude 1:3). Dr. Steve Pettit is a dangerous false prophet! It makes me sad that he has influence over 2,700 students and faculty at Bob Jones College today. It is heartbreaking that BJU has changed from once believing in a free grace Gospel, to promoting the damnable Calvinist heresy of Lordship Salvation. Pastor John MacArthur is going to split Hell wide open the second he breathes his last breath. I am sad about that. Steve Pettit sinfully bids Godspeed to John MacArthur and his ministry!

Steve Pettit uses a lot of doublespeak. One day he is preaching about salvation by grace through faith without works, but the next day he is preaching that you must persevere until the finish of the race or you'll go to Hell. It cannot be both! Romans 11:6, “And if by grace, then is it no more of works: otherwise grace is no more grace. But if it be of works, then is it no more grace: otherwise work is no more work.I marvel how Calvinists like Steve Pettit, Paul Washer, Ray Comfort, Adrian Rogers, Billy Graham, R.C. Sproul, Marty Herron and Sam Horn, can speak of salvation by grace through faith without works, while requiring people to literally TURN FROM SIN to receive the free gift of God. The only sin that you need to literally turn from to be saved is your UNBELIEF!

The following Bible verses plainly teach us that God cut off Israel, not because of their sins, but because of THEIR UNBELIEF...
Romans 11:20, Well; because of unbelief they were broken off, and thou standest by faith. Be not highminded, but fear: 
Romans 11:23, And they also, if they abide not still in unbelief, shall be graffed in: for God is able to graff them in again. 
Romans 11:30, “For as ye in times past have not believed God, yet have now obtained mercy through their unbelief:
Romans 11:23 doesn't say that God will graff the Jews back into the olive tree (the Kingdom of God) if they repent of their sins; but rather, IF THEY BELIEVE!!! God also promises to graff the Gentiles BY FAITH (verse 20) into the olive tree (Romans 11:24). Mr. Pettit gets the Gospel wrong. I discourage everyone from using that awful term “relationship,” because the way it is misused implies that you must persevere to walk with God in holiness to be saved. Eternal life is the free gift of God (Romans 5:15-18), and that is how we should preach it! Judas had a relationship with Christ, but is burning in Hell forever! Matthew 27:3 even says that Judas repented himself of his sins. Judas felt sorrow (penitence) for his sins. Judas tried to return the 30 pieces of silver (penance). Judas turned from his sins, knowing that he had betrayed the innocent blood (reformation). But Judas had no true repentance or faith! Judas failed to see himself as a needy sinner in God's sight, who could be saved simply by believing on Christ. Judas was a snake, a thief, a con man, who had no faith in Jesus.

Bible Proof That Dr. Steve Pettit Is Full Of Crap

Luke 10:20, Notwithstanding in this rejoice not, that the spirits are subject unto you; but rather rejoice, because your names are written in heaven.

Respectfully said toward Dr. Pettit (I mean no unkindness, truly), he preaches another gospel. Who is Steve Pettit? Mr. Pettit has been the president of Bob Jones University since 2014. I am writing this blog article because BJU has a tremendous impact upon thousands of churches today, particularly independent Baptist churches, through their thousands of graduates. Right doctrine matters folks! Galatians 1:6-7 warns that there is NOT another Gospel. Galatians 1:6-7, “I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel: Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ.” Sadly, today's Bible colleges and churches are filled with heretics who pervert the Gospel, damning people's souls to Hell.

Read for yourself what Steve Pettit heretically preached on January 26, 2015 at BJU chapel to 2,700 students and faculty:

Dear friend, eternal life is not an award, it is the free gift of God by grace alone (Romans 5:15-18, 6:23; Ephesians 2:8-9). A gift is a take proposition, not a give position. You simply take it by faith. Luke 10:20 teaches us as believers to rejoice that our names are written in Heaven. That means KNOWING that we are 100% saved certain. But according to Dr. Pettit's rotten perverse teachings, you cannot KNOW that you are saved, not until life is over, and you have faithfully run the race to the finish line. How else could we KNOW that we are saved, since we cannot say someone has faithfully run the race until they actually finish? Oh reader, do you see how dangerous and unbiblical Steve Pettit's teachings on salvation are? God knows that I have nothing personal against Mr. Pettit. I met him on Guam in 2014 when he preached at Harvest Baptist Church. Sadly, Pastor Marty Herron is as corrupt and perverse in his theology as Steve Pettit, and neither of these men ought to be allowed to speak behind any pulpit. I speak on the authority of God's Word from the inspired King James Bible. ...

Titus 1:10-13, “For there are many unruly and vain talkers and deceivers, specially they of the circumcision: Whose mouths must be stopped, who subvert whole houses, teaching things which they ought not, for filthy lucre's sake. One of themselves, even a prophet of their own, said, The Cretians are alway liars, evil beasts, slow bellies. This witness is true. Wherefore rebuke them sharply, that they may be sound in the faith;”

Sean Quinlan (former pastor of Lighthouse Baptist Church on Guam) once scolded me, saying: “You're not an apostle.” What an ignorant and foolish thing to say. Dear reader, neither was Titus an apostle, but Paul instructed him to REBUKE THEM SHARPLY who pervert the Gospel. I am and will continue to sharply rebuke the Bob Jones University camp until they repent and stop teaching Lordship Salvation, and promoting the Devil's corruptible seed. ...


It Matters Which Bible You Use - God Only Authored One Book!

Kindly said, Steve Pettit was inspired by demons when he preached their awful heretical sermons, which he has never recanted. In case you don't know, Pettit is buddies with the biggest heretic of our generation, Dr. John F. MacArthur in California. MacArthur is an alumni of BJU, which has consequently crept more tares into the college over the decades. Dr. Bob Jones Sr. (1883-1968) would have run these infidels out of the college!!! Would to God BJU still had some biblical sense today and would fire Steve Pettit and renounce his false teachings. I say that with love, but on the authority of the Word of God.

The fact that Jesus commanded every believer to rejoice that their name is written in Heaven, is biblical proof that Steve Pettit is full of crap! You CAN in fact accept Jesus as your perianal Savior, by believing the GOOD NEWS (Gospel) of His death, burial and resurrection (1st Corinthians 15:1-4), and KNOW that you are immediately, irrevocably and permanently forever saved (John 6:47). Who are you going to believe, Steve Pettit or the King James Bible?

Neo-evangelical Churches Are Destroying America

Revelation 3:15-18, “I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot. So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth. Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked: I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see.”

All across America and the world, neo-evangelicals are destroying God's work. I've never seen a soulwinning neo-evangelical church yet! Fundamentalists build churches, and then neo (or new) evangelicals steal them! When I attended the neo-evangelical Harvest Baptist Church on Guam for one year, I learned firsthand just how awful the problem is in our churches nowadays. They are the apostate Bob Jones University (BJU) camp! I never heard anything about going soulwinning from any of their shameful pastors. I did see paintball guns and the props and equipment they use with the game. The church hosted jet-skiing for the teenagers. They have camp each year for the kids. But there is no soulwinning! Harvest Baptist Church is a dead, dried-up, corpse on Guam, beyond lukewarm, they are a dead church who cannot even get the Gospel right. Any so-called “church that preaches you must turn from your sins to be saved (aka, Lordship Salvation) is a demonic cult, not a legitimate New Testament church! Getting saved is a free gift from God, not a trade or exchange.

John MacArthur is so corrupt in his theology, that he even calls receiving God's free gift of eternal life “AN EXCHANGE.” Read his heretical words for yourself:
It [salvation] isn’t adding Jesus to your repertoire. It isn’t like the rock singer who said, “I've been born again but don't think it’ll change my act or my lifestyle.” It’s not that. It’s an exchange of all that I am for all that he is. It’s an abandoning of all my righteousness for all his righteousness. It’s a setting aside of everything I thought valuable for the pearl of great price. I would willingly bankrupt myself of all my human prizes, right? Hear Paul, “I count all things but dung that I may win Christ.” That’s the exchanged life. 
So, we would then say, who are the few? [the saved] Those who obey the commands of Christ and the will of the Father, those who confess Christ at any cost. And for everybody that cost may be different, but when salvation is really happening, God energizes the willingness to pay the cost, whatever it is. 
Pastor Jack Hyles gets it 100% correct:
Lordship salvation would make salvation a trade or a deal or maybe even a bribe.  It would take away the simple reception of Christ for eternal life and would become God giving us something if we give Him something.  God would say to us, “You give Me something; I'll give you something.  We will trade, and you will be saved.”  Salvation is not my giving God something and God giving me something; salvation is God giving me something and my receiving it. Shame on Bob Jones University! Many years ago they believed and taught a free grace Gospel, back when Dr. Bob Jones Sr. (1883-1968) was still alive. The LAW and the GOSPEL are two keys—the law is the key that shutteth up all men under condemnation, and the Gospel is the key which opens the door and lets them out. Nothing else is required to receive God's FREE GIFT of eternal life, except simple childlike faith in the Gospel, for any needy sinner who wants it. All this garbage theology about forsaking your sinful ways, running the race, committing your life to Christ, and following Jesus no matter what the cost is another gospel of the Devil. 

Neo-evangelicals don't stand for THE TRUTH, they hobnob and straddle both sides of the fence. In nearly every neo-evangelical church you will find multiple different Bible versions. You will find Lordship Salvation and a variation of Free Grace Theology mixed in to confuse everybody. Girls wear short shorts. Women wear pants. Standards are not different than the heathen world. Their liberal churches promote Walt Disney, Contemporary Christian Music (CCM), and when somebody like me tries to show them that they have been deceived, a war breaks out and they kick you out the door. That is what Harvest Baptist Church (a new-evangelical cult) did to me. I have been banned from attending their churches services, since 2014. God's judgment is upon them for casting away a hurting man during a time of need (me). I literally begged for their help, but neo-evangelicals only care about the money.

All across America neo-evangelical churches are taking Christianity a notch lower each day. The LGBTQ agenda has been either accepted or is tolerated in most of their churches. They despise fundamentalists like me. Pastor Jack Hyles had this to say about them:
“There is a planned, plotted, plot, right now... This isn't over Jack Hyles—This is over fundamentalism! These are evangelicals fighting fundamentalists! That's what it's all about. And their effort is to destroy Hyles-Anderson College! Over my dead body...” —Dr. Jack Hyles, a quote from the May 14, 1989 sermon, “Weathering The Storm!
Galatians 4:16, “Am I therefore become your enemy, because I tell you the truth? Anytime someone tells the truth, evil people try to discredit their reputation to silence them. The ungodly newsmedia does this all the time, going on a smear campaign to silence anybody the powers that control the media don't like. There are no perfect preachers, but evil people look under every rock for something to criticize the truth-telling preacher, while giving Hollywood a free pass. Those same wicked people will sit in their living rooms and watch all manner of wickedness on their television, committed by ungodly people, and yet never speak a word against it as evil. Yet, they'll roast the preacher for every little thing he says and does wrong! God sees that evil hypocrisy! The Lord warned that by the same measure we judges others, He will judge us (Matthew 7:1-2).

I thank God that I am an fundamentalist Baptist Bible-believing Christian, and not some wishy-washy religious new-evangelical. Jesus is precious!

Dr. Steve Pettit's Counterfeit Gospel

Revelation 21:8, “But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.

In a chapel sermon to 2,700 students at Bob Jones University from March 30, 2020 titled: 'TELL THE TRUTH,' Dr. Steve Pettit heretically says:
“And sadly, for some of you, it's [lying] going to find you out in eternity. If somebody perpetually lies, what does that say about him? Could it be simply exposing the reality that you've never put off the old man, and put on the new? Where do perpetual liars go? Revelation 21:9, 'all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.'” [emphasis added] —Dr. Steve Pettit (March 30, 2020; 'The Daily Platform,' #696 - 'Tell The Truth,' 17:48 time)
That is a lie of the Devil! The Bible doesn't say that “PERPETUAL LIARS” go to Hell, it says “ALL LIARS” go to Hell. How many lies does a person have to tell to be a liar? That's right, JUST ONE!!! Here is Scriptural proof of what I am teaching from James 2:10, “For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all.” If you commit just ONE SIN, you are a guilty sinner and cannot go to Heaven! As far as God is concerned, if you have broken one of His Commandments, you've broken ALL OF THEM! That is because God is absolutely perfect, holy and righteousness; therefore, committing even one sin makes us filthy in His sight. 

In fact, God sees even our self-righteousness as “filthy rags.” Isaiah 64:6, “But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away.” If you have ever lied even one time, then you are going to Hell forever unless you get saved! You are a needy sinner, just like me, and we all need the Savior! Perpetual liars don't go to Hell, ALL LIARS go to Hell!!! 

The disturbing reason why Dr. Steve Pettit made the statement he did, is because he has a corrupted understanding of God's plan of salvation. All sinners deserve to go to Hell, not just perpetual sinners! In Dr. Pettit's flawed theological thinking, if you are still a perpetual liar (i.e., a perpetual sinner), you haven't faithfully run the race as a Christian and won't be allowed into Heaven. I'm not kidding, check out what he said:
You can't just speak about getting saved, and you accepted Christ, and then that's it! There is a justification; There is a sanctification; There's ultimately a glorification, and though there are three parts, they are all part of the whole, and you cannot separate them. In order for you to qualify for the award, you have to get into the race, you have to stay in the race, and you have to finish the race. If you want to win, you have to run to the end; and winning in the Christian life is everything, because if you lose—if you don't finish—you lose everything—you lose your SOUL. And so, the Christian race is the life of faith that begins, is run, and is finished when we cross over into Heaven!” [emphasis added] —Dr. Steve Pettit (“What Does It Mean To Run 'The Race'?” - 11:34)
Dear friend, that is NOT the Gospel of free grace taught in the inspired Word of God. The true gift of God is eternal life, and it is obtained simply by taking it by faith! You get saved in a moment of time, just as you would receive a birthday gift in a moment of time. Getting the gift of eternal life is not an ongoing process that you must fulfil. Steve Pettit is a false prophet!!! The Bible teaches that ALL SINNERS go to Hell, which is why WE ALL NEED A SAVIOR...
1st Corinthians 6:9-11, “Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God. And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.” [emphasis added]
If you don't receive Jesus' sacrifice on the cross as payment for your sins, you will burn in Hell forever and ever! Kindly said, Steve Pettit is an unsaved man (in my humble opinion)! He is religious, but not saved, clearly evidenced by the abundance of ignorant and theologically dangerous statements that he keeps making in his preaching. I feel sorry for all those 2,700 students at Bob Jones University, being brainwashed by Steve Pettit to think that perpetual liars” will go to Hell. That is NOT what the Bible teaches!!! Once you accept God's free gift of eternal life, God only sees Christ's righteousness for ever and ever!!! Dr. Pettit doesn't seem to understand the truth of the imputed righteousness of God!!!

Perpetual Liars Do Go To Heaven If They Are Saved

In Dr. Pettit's errant theological thinking, professed Christian students who are “perpetual liars” will go to Hell, but not occasional liars. That is a works-based plan of salvation!!! Go read Bob Jones University's Statement of Faith for yourself, where they teach you must be, “willing to repent and turn from your sins” to be saved. BJU is preaching another gospel! Galatians 1:6-7 pronounces God's curse upon anyone who corrupts the Gospel.

Pastor Harry A. Ironside (1875-1951) gets the Gospel 100% correct:
“When anyone comes promising salvation to those ‘who make full surrender' of all that they have to God, and who 'pay the price of full salvation' he is preaching another gospel, for the price was paid on Calvary's cross and the work that saves is finished. It was Christ Jesus who made the full surrender when He yielded His life on Calvary that saves us, not our surrender in any way to Him.”

That is beautiful! Clearly, Dr. Ironside taught a Free Grace view of the Gospel. Consider further the following awesome quote by Pastor Ironside:
“The Gospel is not a call to repentance, or to amendment of our ways, to make restitution for past sins, or to promise to do better in the future. These things are proper in their place, but they do not constitute the Gospel; for the Gospel is not good advice to be obeyed, it is good news to be believed. Do not make the mistake then of thinking that the Gospel is a call to duty or a call to reformation, a call to better your condition, to behave yourself in a more perfect way than you have been doing in the past…
Nor is the Gospel a demand that you give up the world, that you give up your sins, that you break off bad habits, and try to cultivate good ones. You may do all these things, and yet never believe the Gospel and consequently never be saved at all.”

Whether or not we go to Heaven is strictly based upon our faith in Jesus Christ, or lack thereof. The gift of eternal life has absolutely NOTHING to do with the choices we make throughout our Christian life. No amount of choosing to sin could ever jeopardize a believer's position in Jesus Christ as God's redeemed child. It was a gift! Romans 6:23, “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Steve Pettit Teaches The Same False Gospel As Ray Comfort

Evangelist Steve Pettit is teaching the same damnable doctrine of Evangelist Ray Comfort. First let me quote to you Matthew 7:21-23, and then I'll show you Mr. Comfort's corrupt thinking:
Matthew 7:21-23, “Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.”
On page 1197 of 'THE EVIDENCE BIBLE' by Ray Comfort, he comments and horribly corrupts Matthew 7:22-23...
“These are perhaps the most frightening verses in the Bible. Vast multitudes of professing Christians fit into the category spoken of here. They call Jesus 'Lord,' but they practice lawlessness. They profess faith in Jesus, but have no regard for the divine law. They tell 'fibs' or 'white' lies, take things that belong to others, have a roaming eye for the opposite sex, etc. They are liars, thieves, and adulterers at heart, who will be cast from the gates of heaven into the jaws of hell.” [emphasis added]

Ladies and gentleman, Ray Comfort is teaching works salvation! According to what we just read by Ray Comfort, every believer who is still living in deliberate sin won't be allowed into Heaven. That is what Steve Pettit is teaching! Pettit warns the students that “perpetual liars” won't go to Heaven! Ray Comfort says men with “a roaming eye for the opposite sex” aren't really saved, because he says they've never repented of their sins! This is the heresy of Lordship Salvation, which Bob Jones University teaches!!! Satan's greatest weapon is to con people into living the Christian life without ever being born again! Look at the junk theology that Steve Pettit teaches at BJU!

Dear reader, I hope you see the grave danger of what Dr. Pettit is teaching to the students at BJU. The very fact that he scares students who perpetually lie that they won't be going to Heaven is another gospel. What saith the Scripture? Romans 5:20, “Moreover the law entered, that the offence might abound. But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound:” Acts 13:39, “And by him all that believe are justified from all things, from which ye could not be justified by the law of Moses.” Contrary to the garbage theology of Steve Pettit, the inspired Word of God teaches that the born-again believer is JUSTIFIED FROM ALL THINGS, and that when a believer sins, GRACE DOTH MUCH MORE ABOUND!!!

Dear friend, perpetual liars do go to Heaven if they are among the redeemed! The stealing Christian boss, or the pervert Christian man, or the rebellious Christian wife, or the adulterous Christian woman; are still 100% safe and eternally secure in God's gift of eternal life, which is obtained by faith without works. Beware of the Devil's false gospel that says you are not saved if you haven't turned away from your sins. The Bible plainly teaches that eternal life is a free gift! Romans 4:4-6, “Now to him that worketh is the reward not reckoned of grace, but of debt. But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness. Even as David also describeth the blessedness of the man, unto whom God imputeth righteousness without works,”

Evangelist Steve Pettit DOESN'T Preach The Gospel

Galatians 1:6-9, “I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel: Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ. But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.”

I am so sick and tired of hearing theological fools like Dr. Kevin Bauder, claim that Lordship Salvation still falls within the realm of orthodox Christianity. The Apostle Paul plainly warned in Galatians 1:6b-7a of “another gospel: Which is not another...Kindly said, Steve Pettit is a brother from another mother! We weren't born of the same seed! I was born again at age 13 of incorruptible seed, by the inspired Word of God, which is the King James Bible (1st Peter 1:23). In contrast, Dr. Steve Pettit has never been born-again at all. He is merely living the Christians life, as per his own very disturbing statements:

Ladies and gentlemen, that is the Devil talking! That is not the Gospel of free grace, not even in the ballpark. Mr. Pettit is focusing on YOU, not JESUS! Pettit requires YOU to run the race faithfully, which is not wholly resting in JESUS' name for salvation. “The true Gospel always points you to Christ; a false gospel always points to you.” —Pastor Dennis Rokser

Steve Pettit is the infidel that Dr. Bob Jones Sr. (1883-1968) warned everybody about in 1945, and of whom he said he blow the college to smithereens with a stick of dynamite if he could. Bob Jones College is of the Devil. BJU no longer preaches sound doctrine; but rather, the Calvinist ranting of a theological madman behind the pulpit. Shamefully, Harvest Baptist Church of Guam IDOLIZES this wicked false prophet, bidding him Godspeed. Pastor Gary Walton needs to be fired. All of their pastors at Harvest are bad seed! They should all be fired, and bring in genuine men of God who are sound in the Christian faith. Anybody who thinks that you must turn away from sin to be saved is a theological fool.

Tragically, Dr. Pettit shares the SAME flawed unbiblical view of repentance as does Seventh-Day Adventist prophetess Ellen G. White (1827-1915). They wrongly think that salvation requires a personal attempt to turn away from committing sinful behavior. This is mandatory! In their flawed thinking, salvation cannot come to anyone who does not commit to depart from continuing in a sinful lifestyle. They falsely assume this to mean Bible repentance. Oh how wrong they are! Salvation is wholly by God's grace, through faith alone, in the Good News of Christ crucified, buried and risen. Nowhere in the Scriptures are we pressured, coerced or required to reform (turn from our bad behavior) to be saved. Eternal life is a free gift, paid for in full by the precious blood of the Lamb of God. John 1:29, “The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.What a beautiful proclamation!!!

Perhaps you would like to know why I incessantly preach against Dr. Steve Pettit these days. The answer is simply because Harvest Baptist Church of Guam, and Pastor Marty Herron in Iowa, idolize the man like a rock star!

Kindly said, Steve Pettit is a dangerous man theologically. Don't you send your young people to that hellhole at Bob Jones University today! Don't you dare! The female BJU students wear cotton tighties in gym, literally displaying the crevice in their buttocks. Go look at their Facebook page. That is shameful! Christian colleges ought to set their standards high, not low. The sinful world has low standards! 

Sadly, most professed Christian parents and young women today laugh at modesty, just as they take the accuracy of the Gospel lightly, and the purity of the Holy Bible lightly, which is why they follow ungodly heretics like Marty Herron, Gary Walton, Steve Pettit, Sam Horn and John MacArthur!!! Hey, I didn't pick this fight, Marty Herron did, and Gary Walton is pouring gas on the fire by ignoring it. As a soldier of Jesus Christ I am fighting as a soldier does. I don't get paid to do this. I am not sucking a salary like the parasites from BJU are doing! Since I am at home without a church to attend, because Harvest Baptist Church on Guam continues to ostracize me for TELLING THE TRUTH, I'll write a thousand articles exposing their wickedness instead. What religious hypocrites!!! 

God knows my sincere heart in this matter, that all I ever humble requested was to quietly sit in church and not cause trouble. But those religious hypocrites refused. No true Christian that is right with God bans someone from church, and refuses to allow them to join in their church family. God's curse is on Harvest Baptist Church of Guam and Bob Jones University, as they continue to hurt people like me, spread corruptible seed (the Devil's Bibles), preach another gospel (Lordship Salvation), and disregard the hundreds of warnings I have given them as a caring Christian who loves them enough to TELL THE TRUTH (Ephesians 4:15). My preaching will be 100% vindicated someday (Romans 3:4). Proverbs 12:17, “He that speaketh truth sheweth forth righteousness: but a false witness deceit.

The Worst Pervert In America Is The Gospel Pervert

Galatians 1:6-9, I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel: Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ. But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.”

The heretical teaching of Lordship Salvation is totally incompatible with the Gospel of free grace. The King James Bible warns about false teachers who “PERVERT” the Scripture. The word “pervert” in Galatians 1:7 is the Greek word metastrephō, which means to “transmute; this is, change or alter in form, appearance, or nature.” Any time someone alters or changes the nature of the Gospel, they have perverted it. The nature of the Gospel is simply that all mankind are guilty sinners (Romans 3:10-23; 5:12). There is a penalty for our sins, which is death (Romans 6:23; Hebrews 9:27). This includes a second death in Hell forever (Revelation 20:11-15; 21:8; Psalms 9:17; Luke 16:19-31). 

The “Good News” (or “Gospel”) is that God loves humanity, and has made a way of escape through the sacrifice of His only begotten Son on Calvary's cross (John 19-20; Romans 5:6-9). Jesus died on the cross for our sins, He was buried, and physically resurrected after three days (1st Corinthians 15:1-4). Anyone who comes to God as a needy sinner, receiving Christ's sacrifice on the cross as payment for their sins, is immediately and forever saved (i.e., born-again, regenerated, redeemed, a saint, a child of God). That is the simple, easy, free and only way to receive God's free gift of eternal life, by faith (Ephesians 2:8-9; Galatians 3:26).

Anyone who alters or changes the nature of the Gospel has perverted God's grace! Three of the biggest offenders today are Evangelist Ray Comfort, Pastor John MacArthur and Dr. Steve Pettit (president of Bob Jones University since 2014). These men all sinfully pervert the truth of the Gospel. These men have changed the Gospel into something different than what the Bible teaches! These men all add turning from your sins to be saved. Sadly, Bob Jones University requires people to be willing to turn from their sins to be saved. That is not the Gospel. The Gospel of John is God's Gospel tract. John 20:31, “But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name. We find the word “BELIEVE” mentioned 85 times in the Gospel of John, but there is no mention of forsaking one's sins to receive God's free gift.

Pastor John MacArthur even calls getting saved “AN EXCHANGE” of all that we are for all that Christ is...
“Thus in a sense we pay the ultimate price for salvation when our sinful self is nailed to a cross. . . . It is an exchange of all that we are for all that Christ is. And it denotes implicit obedience, full surrender to the lordship of Christ. Nothing less can qualify as saving faith.” (The Gospel According to Jesus, p. 140.)
Dear reader, that is as Satanic as worshipping the Devil!!! Nowhere in the inspired Word of God are we taught, that to receive God's free gift of eternal life we must EXCHANGE everything we are to receive it! Dr. Steve Pettit teaches this same garbage theology:
“...faith in Jesus is not just an intellectual conviction, it is a personal commitment. Paul says, we have believed in Jesus, and the word 'in' literally means 'into' ...I am taking my life, my eternity, my destiny, everything, and I am placing it into Christ.” —Dr. Steve Pettit, an excerpt from “What Does It Mean To Be Justified?” (The Daily Platform #741)
That is false teaching! Dr. Pettit says it is not enough to trust Jesus in your mind, but there must be action that results in committing EVERYTHING in your life to Christ. That is not the Gospel, it is a perversion of God's free grace! Salvation in NOT an exchange!!! Eternal life is a free gift. Romans 5:15-18 even calls it a “FREE GIFT” multiple times. Matthew 7:15, “Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.” It is more than a coincidence that immediately following this warning about WOLVES that come to us in SHEEP'S CLOTHING, that the Lord says in Matthew 7:21, “Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.Could the Bible be any plainer that Lordship is not the way of salvation? God's will is to BELIEVE (John 6:40).
“So I want to ask you, have you come to a genuine acknowledgment before God almighty of your sinfulness? Secondly, you have to change the way you view yourself. We call that 'repentance.' And repentance is sort of saying a 'No' and a 'Yes.'  It's a turning AWAY FROM and a turning TO. What am I turning away from? I'm turning away from my own self-righteousness. I'm to turning away from depending on me, and all that's involved in me—self-righteousness, self-will, self-assertion, living my own life—I'm to turning away from that way of thinking. And then finally what do I have to do? I'm to put my trust, or my confidence, in Jesus alone.” [emphasis added] —Dr. Steve Pettit, an excerpt from “What Does It Mean To Be Justified?” (The Daily Platform #741)
What you just read is of the Devil. Jesus told the Apostle Peter, “Get thee behind me, Satan” (Matthew 16:23b). So I say to Steve Pettit, “Get thee behind me, Satan!” What saith the Scripture? Acts 16:30-31, “And brought them out, and said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved? And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.” The Bible teaches something very different than what Dr. Steve Pettit is teaching! Steve Pettit says you must turn away from living your own life to be saved. That is a doctrine of devils! Steve Pettit is a devil-dog preacher! My destination is not based upon how I live my life, it's on whom that I trust to save me!!! Now that's the truth!

Salvation is salvation, and discipleship is discipleship. No one ever got saved by discipleship! That is why the religious people in Matthew 7:21-23 weren't saved. Jesus called them workers on iniquity. Jesus said He never knew them! They followed Jesus their entire life. They made full surrender to Christ! They called Him, “LORD, LORD” (there's your heresy of Lordship Salvation in the Bible). Judas followed Christ. Matthew 27:3b says “Judas repented himself. Judas had a relationship with Jesus (we hear this false teaching a lot these days). Dear reader, you can follow Christ, have a relationship with Him, you can repent of all your sins, faithfully run the race, turn your life over to Him, and even trust Christ in addition to all that stuff, but YOU WILL SPLIT HELL WIDE OPEN WHEN YOU DIE!!! You are not truly trusting Jesus, unless you are COMPLETELY RESTING IN HIS DEATH, BURIAL AND RESURRECTION ALONE TO SAVE YOU!!! 

Please don't let Steve Pettit take you to Hell with him. On March 30, 2020 he told 2,700 students and faculty that “perpetual liars go to Hell! The Bible says that ALL LIARS go to Hell (Revelation 21:8). How many lies do I have to tell you to be a liar? Just one, right! James 2:10 confirms this truth, “For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all. It is disturbing that Steve Pettit thinks habitual sinners are going to Hell, because we are saved by God's righteousness, nor our own righteousness. My destination is not based upon how I live my life, it's on whom that I trust to save me. How much you lie and sin has nothing to do with the gift of eternal life. If a child of God lives in willful sin, God is not an absent parent, He will chastise a child whom He loves. Proverbs 3:12, “For whom the LORD loveth he correcteth; even as a father the son in whom he delighteth.”
