The Precious PROMISES Of God

2nd Peter 1:4, “Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious PROMISES: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.”

The great battle of the new millennium is over the Word of God. All across America theological scholars are trying to provide possible solutions to the impossible miracles of God throughout the Bible. I get upset when I hear so-called “scholars” say that the waters in Egypt turned red from a volcano, and the frogs and locusts came upon Egypt because the waters were contaminated from the volcano, and that the fiery hail came from a volcano. What a bunch of horse-manure!

My friend, God is a miracle-working God. Jonah was swallowed by a literal whale. The sun literally stood still for a whole day as the Bible says (Joshua 10:13). Elijah was literally caught up into Heaven by a whirlwind. God literally parted the Red Sea and the Jews walked across on dry ground. According to the intelligencia, the Jews crossed at low-tide. Listen my friend, you either believe in a miracle-working God or you don't. As Christians we “walk by faith, not by sight” (2nd Corinthians 5:7b). Our faith rests secure in the PROMISES of God. There are over 7000 PROMISES from God in the Bible!

The following quote is taken from the Introduction to Dr. Herbert Lockyer's (1886-1984) timeless Christian classic (published in 1962), All The Promises Of The Bible..
“It has been computed that there are 30,000 Bible promises. No indication is given as to how this colossal number is reached. Altogether, there are 31,173 verses making up the Bible; 23,214 verses compromising the Old Testament, and 7,959 — the New Testament. Doubtless this total of verses gave rise to the 30,000 — every verse being a promise.

The magazine Time, of Dec. 4, 1956, carried an item to the effect that schoolteacher Everet R. Storms, of Kitchener, Canada, reckoned the 30,000 figure to be off the mark. During his 27th reading of the Bible, this devout student tried to tally up the promises, a task which took him a year and a half. Storms [Everett R. Storms] came up with 7,487 promises by God to man, 2 by God the Father to God the Son, 991 by one man to another (such as the servants who promised to interpret king Nebuchadnezzar's dream), 290 by man to God, 21 promises were made by angels, one by man to an angel, and two were made by an evil spirit to the Lord. Satan made nine, as when he promised the world to Christ if He would fall down and worship him. Storms then gives us the grant total of 8,810 promises.

Scattered throughout the Bible are hundreds of definite explicit promises forming the category Peter names as "the exceeding great and precious promises" (II Peter 1:4).”

SOURCE: Dr. Herbert Lockyer, All The Promises Of The Bible, p. 10; 1962
There are in fact 31,102 verses in the King James Bible! I don't know what Bible Dr. Lockyer used (I hope a King James Bible), but nevertheless, many websites are repeating faulty statistics. It could likely be that he relied on faulty data. Nevertheless, the subject at hand is the PROMISES OF GOD... Wow! 7,487 promises made by God to man. Isn't God a good God!!! We are so undeserving. God didn't have to make us even one promise, but He did.

No one wants to see us happy and blessed any more than God does (Romans 8:32). It's hard to grasp the reality of God's goodness sometimes in this dark and miserable world of sin. People have waxed worse and worse just as the Bible said. But if we set our affection on things above instead of the things of the earth as Colossians 3:2 commands, then we can have cheer (John 16:33), and joy, and comfort in the PROMISES OF GOD. My friend, we must anchor ourselves to the PROMISES of God to endure these dark times. That's the only way to make it!

Jesus prophesied that in the end times that people would betray and hate one another, turning them over to the Police State to be afflicted (Matthew 24:9-10). We are certainly living in those days now, and it's undoubtedly only going to get much, much worse.

ABC just debuted a New sitcom TV series called 'GCB' (Good Christian Bitches). That's the name of the show on regular TV. It's hard to imagine that America has sunk this low in sin. Same-sex marriage became legal in July of 2011 in New York state. In the month to follow, 1-in-4 marriages in New York were gay marriages. In the state of Wisconsin there are over 13,000 same-sex couples living together according to the 2010 census. Homosexuals nationwide can now legally tie-the-knot and marry in New York. God is not going to bless this ungodly mess we've allowed in America.

Children are being indoctrinated in public schools to come out of the closet that their proudly gay, and to hate those bigoted horrible mean Christians, and how to fist-sex each other by GLSEN in Massachusetts. God promises to punish the wicked in Isaiah 13:11, “And I will punish the world for their evil, and the wicked for their iniquity; and I will cause the arrogancy of the proud to cease, and will lay low the haughtiness of the terrible.”

We are living in dark days, evil times of woeful apostasy. It is man's authority verses God's Authority. If you side with men, you will be sorry on Judgment Day, because God's Authority will prevail. You can either build your house upon the sand as foolish men who disregard the Bible do; or you can build your house upon solid ground by obeying the Word of God (Matthew 7:24-27). ...
Matthew 7:24-27, “Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which BUILT HIS HOUSE UPON A ROCK: And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock. And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which BUILT HIS HOUSE UPON THE SAND: And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it.
God has given to us exceedingly great and precious PROMISES..
2nd Peter 1:4, “Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious PROMISES: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.”
What a wonderful God! The power of God rests in the PROMISES of God. The demonic Charismatic Movement, and other apostates in the religious realm today, have taught the masses of humanity to trust in feelings and experiences; and to believe in a false health, wealth, and prosperity gospel of greed. These are of the Devil. The entire platform of New Age doctrine is rooted in feelings and experiences, experiential knowledge; rather than trusting in the character of God Who has given to us exceedingly great and precious PROMISES.

I KNOW I am saved and on my way to Heaven, having “eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, PROMISED before the world began” (Titus 1:2). God promises to save every ungodly sinner who believes on the Lord Jesus Christ. Romans 4:5, “But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness.” For those who reject Jesus Christ, the only PROMISE that applies to you is suffering the eternal wrath of an angry God in the flaming fires of Hell (2nd Thessalonians 1:8-9; Revelation 21:8).

The power of God rests in the PROMISES of God. Even eternal life was PROMISED by God before the world began. Amen! Many believers put God on trial, becoming discouraged because God doesn't work in their time, the way they want Him to. Who are we or anyone else to say that it is always God's will for good things to happen, and health to improve, and prosperity to come? The Bible is packed full of real people with real problems, who had real faith in a real God. Don't fall for the fake Pentecostal religion of fruitcakes, twisted tongues-speakers, greedy TV preachers, and fraudulent healing services.

Good is a good God whether we are rich, or whether we are poor. God is still on His throne whether we have a job, or whether we are unemployed. God is still worthy of our praise whether we have good health, or whether we are crippled and suffer in chronic pain every day. God keeps His PROMISES to us, but it's not for us to decide how, when, nor where God works. God ways are not mysterious to God, but to men. ...
Isaiah 55:8-9, “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.”
God is the Potter, and we are the clay. Isaiah 64:8, “But now, O LORD, thou art our father; we are the clay, and thou our potter; and we all are the work of thy hand.” Oh that men would trust in the Lord and lean not upon their own understanding (Proverb 3:5-7). God knows what He is doing. The unsaved world places God on trial, demanding irrefutable, documentable, incontestable proof that He exists and that the Bible is true; yet those same wicked people unquestioningly accept the bogus theories of Evolution, the scam of Global Warming, and the lies of Satan.

As believers our peace should rest in the PROMISES of God; and not in experiences and feelings that are uncertain, vulnerable, and constantly changing. If you truly live for Jesus Christ, then you will be persecuted in this sin-cursed world (2nd Timothy 3:12). The world will hate you for following Jesus Christ (John 15:19). But Jesus tells us to BE OF GOOD CHEER, because He has risen triumphant! John16:33, “These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but BE OF GOOD CHEER; I have overcome the world.”

It is by obeying God's Word that we are able to claim the thousands of exceedingly great and precious PROMISES that God has given to us. This is where our joy and hope rests. Thus, it does not matter how we feel, nor if we see answers to our prayers or not, nor if things are going our way in life or getting worse; what matters is that we trust the HEART of God when we cannot see the HAND of God at work. God is not mentioned even once in the Old Testament book of Esther; yet we see God's hand of divine providence at work throughout. Amen!

God has PROMISED to guide us throughout life if we'll “Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from evil. (Proverb 3:5-7).

In Philippians 4:6-7 God PROMISES to give us peace to keep our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus if we'll “Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.”

The Roman Catholic Church (which is no church at all) labors in the sinful TRADITIONS of men; instead of resting in the PROMISES of a holy God. A born-again Christian rests in the PROMISES of God for salvation, for guidance in life, for provisions, for comfort, for joy, for peace, for everything that we need. 'Tis grace hath brought me safe thus far, and grace will lead me home.

Wise men still seek Him—Jesus Christ!

A Wonderful Lesson On Loving People

1st Corinthians 13:1-8, “Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal. And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing. And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not charity, it profiteth me nothing. Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up, Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil; Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth; Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things. Charity never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away.”

I heard a wonderful sermon today at church. I want to share a few of the truths that I learned, exegeting our text passage verse-by-verse. I was hoping that this sermon had been video taped and uploaded to Facebook, but for some reason it wasn't uploaded this week. So using my notes and less than perfect memory, I will try to convey what I recall. Here goes, verse-by-verse...

Verse One
1st Corinthians 13:1, “Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal.”

A musical cymbal gets people's attention. The Bible says that even if our dialect is alluring to others, and our ability to articulate speech is that of angels, it all means nothing if we have not love. Put another way: “People don't care what you know, until they know that you care.” That is so true! You may be the most gifted orator on the planet, but if you lack love and compassion for people, you are a mere spectacle.

Verse Two
1st Corinthians 13:2, “And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing.”

The gift of prophecy means that you are learned and skilled at teaching the prophetic books of the Bible; namely, Psalms, Daniel, Joel, Zechariah, Revelation, et cetera. Some preachers have a keen understanding of the deeper truths of the Word of God; such as, The Rapture, The Godhead, The Seven Seals of Revelation, et cetera. The Bible says that even if we know the Bible inside and out—a theologian—it is worthless IF WE HAVE NOT LOVE.

These are profound statements in the inspired Word of God. Even if we have “this kind” of faith (Matthew 17:21), so that God will move mountains for us, the Apostle Paul emphasizes that it is all for wrought if WE HAVE NOT LOVE. I am nothing.

By God's wondrous grace, I started my website ministry in April of 2022 and have been faithfully working day and night now for the past 21 years. I love the work that I do on my 8 websites. I love writing for my 8 blogs. I enjoy posting helpful truths and information to Facebook, to edify other believers and all my social media friends. I give ALL the credit, praise and glory to God alone, for without Jesus we can do nothing (John 15:5).

Are you starting to understand dear reader how important love is? I have been preaching a lot against Pensacola Christian College (PCC), since they mistreated me in 2021, and then banned me from attending Campus Church anymore, because I criticized them on social media. It didn't matter that I apologized three times in writing, they refused to allow me to come back to church. That is NOT God's love and compassion.

When I started attending Campus Church, I was invited to their Single's Class. So I went. The Sunday School teacher was a younger fella, a PCC graduate on staff, about 30 years of age. I was sickened one Sunday after hearing him say something terrible in class. He said that if you have friends in your life that give you bad vibes, and are difficult and problematic, that you should write them off. He spoke about having a circle of close friends, and not to be hesitant to shut people off who don't enrich your life. I was shocked that PCC would allow such a fool to teach others. Dear reader, that is NOT Bible love!

True Christian living is not loving Jesus, it is loving Judas. Our dear Lord and Savior set the example. Even after Judas betrayed Jesus to death, our blessed Savior called him: “Friend” (Matthew 26:50). Anybody can love those who love us back, and enrich our life; but that is not the test of true love. Matthew 5:46, “For if ye love them which love you, what reward have ye? do not even the publicans the same?” I decided a long time ago that I am going to just love everybody, no matter how unpleasant, mean, smelly, hateful or rotten they are.

I can even love a ridiculously wealthy, arrogant, insensitive, unforgiving pastor like Jeff Redlin, who refuses to allow me to come back to Campus Church at Pensacola Christian College (PCC). I won't stoop to his level. God knows that I regularly pray for the PCC family and Pastor Jeff Redlin. God knows that if Jeff Redlin contacted me, and offered an Olive Branch of friendship (which I have now requested three times but they still refuse), I would gladly bury the hatchet and do whatever they require to make the peace. I CONDITIONALLY offered them my promise to remove all my criticism from social media and not put them back, BUT ONLY IF, they agreed to allow me to come back to Campus Church. Shamefully, they still refuse!

Pastor Jack Hyles said this:
“The pastors have destroyed the churches, and they've been trained by people that have never built churches, and they have no compassion.” —Pastor Jack Hyles: “Many Pastors Have Destroyed My Vineyard
PCC are a bunch of academics, not church builders, so they woefully lack God's love and compassion for people. You can actually go through all the motions of playing church, and yet not have any love at all for God or people. That is why over 95% of today's churches are ineffective for reaching the lost with the Gospel. There is no love.

Verse Three
1st Corinthians 13:3, “And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not charity, it profiteth me nothing.

Wow! Paul says even of you are extremely generous, so that you give away everything that you own to feed the poor, and help the homeless, it means nothing without love. Even if you become a martyr for Christ, sacrificing your body for the cause of Christ, it means nothing WITHOUT LOVE. There is no eternal profit without love. Oh how we woefully lack love in today's churches.

I decided long ago not to get inpatient or upset when I receive bad service. I decided not to lay on the horn in my vehicle when people go slow, cut me off, or do something stupid while driving. I am far from perfect, and on rare occasion I fail at my goals. More times than I can remember, the light turns green and the vehicle in front of me doesn't move. So I just patiently sit there and wait. Even if the light turns red again, I refuse to honk my horn. Why? It is because nearly everybody else lays on the horn, and I hate when they do it. Would Jesus lay on the horn, in a hurry. No, I think not. Part of loving people is empathy. That is, putting our self in their shoes. Do you like when people lay on the horn in anger? I sure don't. So I don't do it. This is The Golden Rule as taught by Christ Himself, to treat others the same way that we want to be treated (Matthew 7:12). That is God's unconditional love.

Verse Four
1st Corinthians 13:4, “Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up,

Love takes a back seat to pride. Love is humble, not seeking attention. Loves chooses to serve, rather than to be served. Love is being happy for someone else's gain, even when you are suffering a loss. The fact that Pastor Redlin and PCC leadership refuse to have anything to do with me, proves that they lack compassion. PCC didn't even have the decency to reply to my letter that I mailed to them. Pastor Redlin totally ignored my letters for 6 weeks. The silent treatment is a form of abuse. In frustration I criticized them again on social media, and only then did Jeff Redlin tell me I cannot come back to church.

That is hatred at PCC, not God's love for people. I want people to know their true colors at PCC, because they are not what they appear to be. PCC are phonies! Everybody has a right to attend church. Sadly, PCC is a religious cult that bans undesirable people. There is no love at PCC. The cult system always comes first, but individual people do not matter at PCC. I say that to their shame. To PROVE my sincerity in the matter, I will make peace with PCC anytime they choose to.

Verse Five
1st Corinthians 13:5, “Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil;

I love this awesome picture, which speaks a thousand words about true love...

True Unconditional Love
Verse Six
1st Corinthians 13:6, “Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth;

I love that. Love rejoices in THE TRUTH. Proverbs 12:17, “He that speaketh truth sheweth forth righteousness: but a false witness deceit.Genuine loves does not rejoice in sin and wickedness. The world has no idea what real love is. The heathen world thinks that love is based on feelings; but true Christian love is a commitment to Christ. If you marry someone and years later all of your feelings for that person is gone, your commitment to Christ will sustain your love for your spouse. In a healthy Christian marriage, each spouse ought to love Jesus more than each other. I treat all people with love, kindness and respect, not because I love them, but because I love God.

Verse Seven
1st Corinthians 13:7, “Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.

Love suffereth long. Love always gives others the benefit of the doubt. Love is not quick to hurt others.

Verse Eight
1st Corinthians 13:8, “Charity never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away.

Everything in this universe will eventually fade away, even our sun. Nothing lasts forever in this physical world. The unsaved world is constantly seeking for ways to extend their life span. There are now a handful of companies that for payment will freeze dead people in liquid nitrogen, anticipating that in the future science will advance to the extent that scientists will be able to somehow transfer frozen brain memories into new cloned body. The very idea is absurd. Yet, the inspired Word of God promises eternal life to whosoever will BELIEVE ON THE LORD JESUS CHRIST (Acts 16:30-31). Yes, you CAN live forever, even in a new glorified body like unto the risen Savior's glorified body (Philippians 3:21).

In summary, we all need to work on loving people better. When we go into a restaurant and the waitress is less than friendly, instead of complaining about her, I choose to leave a $20 tip (and if I have one with me, a pocket sized Gospel of John, or a Gospel tract). I admit that I horribly fail sometimes. No one among us is a shining example of what a Saint should be. But when I do fail, I make it a point to do much better. 2nd Corinthians 10:6, “And having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled.

I love helping people. Every time that I go to any store, I grab an idle shopping cart left in the parking lot. I figure that I'm going into the store anyway, so why not bring a cart or two with me. I do that to stay in the habit of being thoughtful. And I also do it so cars can see me better, to avoid getting ran over...lol. The world is dying to be loved. May we never forget that the very nature of our holy and faithful God is that: God is love. 1st John 4:8, “He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.)

I receive many emails from discouraged saints. When I feel down, I go do something nice for someone else, and I feel on cloud 9. I'm always looking for ways to help people, and to be a blessing. I love what John Wesley (1703-1791) said:
“Do all the good you can,
By all the means you can,
In all the ways you can,
In all the places you can,
At all the times you can,
To all the people you can,
As long as ever you can.”
Yes Sir, I couldn't have said it any better myself.

Those Who Suffer Often Love Others The Most

The Utter Hypocrisy Of Pensacola Christian College

Psalms 119:104, “Through thy precepts I get understanding: therefore I hate every false way.”

Psalms 119:128, “Therefore I esteem all thy precepts concerning all things to be right; and I hate every false way.”

It was reported in the news yesterday that Pensacola Christian College (PCC) cancelled The King's Singers, who were scheduled to perform just 2 hours later. The college paid them anyway, which I think was ethical to do. I also think that PCC made the right choice to cancel them. What had happened is that a PCC student did some research on social media, discovering that one of The King's Singers is an active homosexual. He rightly went to tell the college Dean, and the appearance was cancelled. I tried to find out on Duck Duck Go which member of The King's Singers is queer, but couldn't find that disturbing information.

As Christians we ought not bid Godspeed to evil. PCC did the right thing. You can call that “homophobia if you want, but the Word of God calls it being faithful. Ephesians 5:11, “And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them. The Greek word for “reprove” here is elencho, which means, “to expose.” As God's children we are expected by God to reject all sin, hate all evil and depart from iniquity. Homosexuality is a perverse deathstyle that brings shame, misery and disease. The Holy Bible condemns it!

But what really bothers me is the utter hypocrisy at PCC. They knowingly wickedly bid Godspeed to false teachers like Ken Ham, who says that faith is not enough to get to Heaven. PCC also wickedly bids Godspeed to the Bob Jones University (BJU) cult in Greensboro, South Carolina. BJU preaches Calvinism and hardcore Lordship Salvation. BJU also wickedly uses, sells and promotes corruptible seed, that is, the Devil's modern corrupt Bible revisions. Bob Jones University is pulling on the same rope as the Devil.

PCC also hobnobs closely with the ungodly Harvest Baptist Church CULT on Guam, which is a repository of heretical Bob Jones graduates. Harvest is shameful. So PCC leadership is okay with bidding Godspeed to to devil preachers like Ken Ham. PCC leadership is okay with supporting Satanic Calvinism, deadly Lordship Salvation, demonic misunderstood repentance, and Devil's corrupt bible versions; but The King's Singers were banned from singing at PCC because one of their members is allegedly gay. Here is the news story that I found...
Pensacola Christian College cancels The King's Singers concert over 'lifestyle' concerns
by WEAR staff
Tuesday, February 14th 2023

PENSACOLA, Fla. — Pensacola Christian College says it cancelled a concert with The King's Singers this past Saturday after learning "one of the artists openly maintained a lifestyle that contradicts Scripture."
The King's Singers are a British a cappella group that was scheduled to perform at Pensacola Christian College Saturday night.
The King's Singers released a statement Monday afternoon, saying the concert was cancelled at "two hours' notice" due to the "sexuality" of group members.
"The school gave its reason for cancellation as 'concerns' expressed about the 'lifestyle' of members of our group," the statement reads. "It has become clear to us, from a flood of correspondence from students and members of the public, that these concerns related to the sexuality of members of our group."
In the statement, The King's Singers says it has performed at Pensacola Christian College in the past.
We entered into the engagement in the knowledge that this is a fundamentalist Christian institution. Our belief is that music can build a common language that allows people with different views and perspectives to come together. This is the first time that anything other than bad weather, the pandemic or war has caused a concert cancellation in our 55-year history. We are disappointed not to have been able to share our music and our mission of finding harmony with over 4,000 students of the college and the wider Pensacola community. We hope that any conversations that follow might encourage a greater sense of love, acceptance and inclusion.
Pensacola Christian College released a statement on the cancellation Monday night, saying it could not "knowingly give an implied or direct endorsement of anything that violates the Holy Scripture."

The college also said The King's Singers "were treated with dignity and respect" when informed of the decision and still compensated despite the cancellation. ... ~SOURCE

Why does PCC play God? Why do they have a hypocritical double standard? Why do they support dangerous unbiblical things like Lordship Salvation, Calvinism, Devil's bibles and wrong repentance? Yet, they throw the gay singer under the bus. Again, I think PC made the right decision to cancel the appearance. The Devil and his children in society today are relentlessly trying to portray the sin of homosexuality as the “norm,” which is anything but normal, it is perversely abnormal and against nature, and a sin (Leviticus 20:13).

In some of the articles I read about PCC cancelling The King's Singers (a singing group which began in 1968 in England), they accused PCC of discrimination against the LGBTQ community. This is NOT a legitimate complaint about discrimination. Discrimination is harmful prejudice against someone's race, color, social status, intelligence, age or gender (things beyond human control); but it does not include immoral behavior (something that is a choice). Homosexuality is A CHOICE!!! Sin is always a choice. No one is born queer. I love all people, including homosexuals, but right is right and wrong is wrong. Homosexuality is just plain WRONG!

It is tragic that the PCC camp hypocritically have a double standard. While they ban sodomites from their college, they invite and praise false prophets who damn men's souls to Hell forever.

Some Interesting Things About Evangelist Billy Sunday

I have an old book authored in 1936 by Homer Rodeheaver titled, “TWNETY YEARS WITH BILLY SUNDAY.” I am going to share some interesting things about Billy Sunday that you likely have never heard before, and some perhaps you may have. Billy Sunday (1962-1935) was, and still is, considered by many to be the world's greatest evangelist of all time. Mr. Sunday was famous (or infamous based on your perspective) for preaching uncompromisingly against booze, illicit gambling and immoral dancing. Billy Sunday rightly said that the work of a pastor is to comfort the afflicted, but the work of an evangelist is to afflict the comforted. Amen!

On page 10 we read about Billy Sunday:
“Of his outstanding characteristics first place must be given his unreserved consecration to the task of preaching the Gospel, born of an unswerving faith in the infallibility of the Scriptures and belief in God's plan of salvation. He had a positive conviction as to the authenticity of Holy Writ which permitted no question or quibble. He was just as certain of his call to preach.
Invariably he opened the Bible and placed his sermon notes upon the passage of Isaiah, first verse of the sixty-first chapter, which reads: 'The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me; because the LORD hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound.'
Many people wanted to posses the Bible Mr. Sunday had used during a campaign. When he granted the request it would be found that these pages in the book of Isaiah were almost worn out.”
SOURCE: “TWENTY YEARS WITH BILLY SUNDAY,” chapter 1 - “THE MAN,” p. 10, by Homer Rodeheaver; 1936
On page 11-13 the following words describe “THE MAN, Billy Sunday...
“Mr. Sunday fought sin, but not the sinner. He rarely ever attacked an individual. Not Mayor Brown, but “any mayor who violates his trust should be put out of office.”
Saloonkeepers admired him for his courage, and many fights started in saloons because the bartender or some customer defended him against lies or personal abuse.
One saloonkeeper said, “You can't talk about Billy Sunday that way in my saloon. He knocks my business, but he's a square-shooter.”
He was the foe of so-called modernism in religious thought and attacked impartially in high and low places leaders whom he believed to be traitors to truthful in interpretation of the Bible.
Many unprintable stories were told about him. These followed him from place to place and were so similar in form as to suggest a common origin.  The same stories and attacks attributed to Mr. Sunday had been used in attacks on other evangelists many years previously.
I never knew him to tell a vulgar story, either on or off the platform. He was clean in his thinking and had a wholesome antipathy for anything savoring of suggestiveness.
Much of his work on the platform gave rise to the impression that he was of a particularly belligerent disposition. Apparently he was ready to fight all opposition at the drop of a hat, giving no odds and asking none. He seemed to delight in stirring up an antagonist and knocking him into a cocked hat; yet off the platform his attitude was far from pugnacious. On the contrary, there were pronounced elements of sweetness and gentleness in his character. When he was in the company of others he had the graces of self-effacement and unaffected modesty—the innate qualities of a gentleman.
He was not at ease in social gatherings. Likewise when folks sought to ionize him it provoked both surprise and amusement. He had no capacity for trivial conversation. He was a good listener and entertained a constant hope that from each new acquaintance he would gain some fresh idea, fact, or illustration which might be embodied in a sermon.
He had a terror of social functions. ...”

That is very interesting information. I'm not that some of my readers, as I do, can relate to some of Billy Sunday's traits. I also feel awkward in social functions, a bit nervous in groups of people. I can also relate to Mr. Sunday in that people often think I am belligerent in my Bible preaching, seeing the uncompromising aggressiveness of my Bible preaching on social media; but if you were to meet me personally, you'd see that I am sweet, humble and a gentleman.

On page 34-36 the following words describe the prayer life of Billy Sunday...
“Mr. Sunday was a man of prayer. He placed entire dependence upon God. He never set aside a long period of time each day, nor shut himself in a closet to commune with his Maker, but constantly through the day he felt the presence of God.
...If you were in his room when he was shaving' or bathing, you would have heard him talking to Jesus about his problems. You would hear him say, 'Now, Jesus, this is a hard problem we have here.' I don't know exactly what we ought to do about it or I don't know how it ought to be done; so if it is done at all successfully, you're going to have to help me with it. I'm depending on you, Jesus. Show me what to do and what to say about this, Give me the wisdom I need. Give me the courage, give me the strength I need for this task.' As he would walk from room to room, you'd see his lips moving, even when you could not hear the words, and you would know that he was talking to his God about some of these intricate, serious, important problems.
As he rode in the automobile to his meetings, while others would be talking about things of local interest, you could hear him saying, 'Jesus, I am depending upon you to help me out at this meeting,' and then he would talk intimately and personally about the important, individual problems and the particular task that was lying just before him.
No one who heard him pray in public could question his sincerity or accuse him of lacking of originality. His approach to God had the same elements of faith and confidence that a little child would have. His intimate conversations with the Lord startled and shocked those of his hearers who were accustomed to stereotyped, dignified form. Yet the manner in which Mr. Sunday did it conveyed not the slightest suggestion of irreverence. The same words from the mouth of another might have seemed almost blasphemous.
Sometimes he would stop in the midst of prayer and say: 'Rody, What was the name of that fellow who took us through the foundry?—Bill Jones?—O yes, Lord; bless Bill and his family and the boys at the foundry; Don't let them get hurt.'
His prayers were seldom alike. No one knew what to expect when he prayed. One night the whole petition might concern one particular thing. The following night he would race to twenty different subjects.
Sometimes he would be carried away by flights of imaginative fancy. Lovely illuminating phrases would pour forth in a torrent. Sentences would be models of grace and the climax an example of the finest oratory. Then again words would come out in a sort of machine-gun fire, crisp, snappy, sentences broken and interrupted, or even started and then abandoned completely. His sermons were carefully prepared; his prayers were extemporaneous expressions.
In the hearts of many of his hearers often there must have been the wish that they could have the same friendly, intimate, affectionate relationship with their God which it was evident Billy Sunday possessed.
He had an astounding habit of suddenly breaking off his talk with the Lord and beginning a conversation with the devil. When he did this he imagined his Satanic majesty somewhere down below him. He would lean over as if gazing into the pit of hell and fire at the devil all the excoriating, vilifying epithets he could command After he thought he had cleaned up on Satan sufficiently for the time being he would switch back and finish his conversation with the Lord.
There never was a pattern for Mr. Sunday's prayers. Perhaps they were the most original, distinctive things about all his work.  No one ever prayed publicly in the same fashion that he did, and probably no one ever will.

That is amazing information about Billy Sunday. I remember in 1999 when I attended training for my job at the U.S. Postal Service. The training center is still in Norman, Oklahoma today. They also have a 1,000 room Marriott hotel for the trainees. One afternoon I was walking around the outdoor campus and talking outloud to the Lord. I had a heavy heart and was speaking to the Lord as I would to a person walking with me.

Then two younger security guards for the postal service rudely approached and confronted me as I was walking, informing me that a woman said there is some crazy guy talking to himself on the campus grounds. They were rude, insensitive and belligerent toward me over the matter. I kindly replied that perhaps I am a Christian and I'm talking to God, and they and the woman accusing me were misjudging me. One of the guards then rudely said that it would be better if I went up to pray in my hotel room.

That was in 1999,before I truly understood what The Bill of Rights was. I had learned those things back in high school, but at the time it just seemed like boring history. Had I been privileged to have a teacher inspire me about our American rights, I no doubt would have understood the significance of such rights, but no one ever inspired me as such. I didn't learn about the Bill of Rights until after I began my website ministry in April of 2022, at age 35, and my eyes were opened for the first time in my life to the diabolical New World Order.

Thanks be to God, patriotic men like Alex Jones (he was better in the earlier days of his show) helped open my eyes to the evils in this world, and emphasized our duty as free men to stand against the evil, tyranny, corruption in government, and complacency of good men that leads us into Communist slavery. Had I known back in 1999 what I know today, I would have hired the Christian Law Association (CLA) and sued the U.S. Postal Service in Norman, Oklahoma for violating my First Amendment rights to freedom of speech, freedom of religion and freedom or press.

Those two woefully ignorant thug guards were inspired by demons that day! They committed a legal crime against me, by depriving me of my First Amendments rights to free speech and freedom of religion. I could have sued them. Dear reader, you and I as Americans and as God's children anywhere in this world, have every God-given right to talk and pray outloud to our great God. Prayer is asking. Talking is fellowship with God. Please don't ever let anyone tell you that you cannot pray audibly in public, because you CAN pray and talk outloud for others to hear (but don't do it in a library or you'll be kicked out...lol).

And for that matter, even if you are just thinking outloud and not praying, you still have a legal and biblical right to do so. As a consequence of that horrible injustice in 1999 at the U.S. Postal Training Center in Norman, Oklahoma, I NEVER stepped foot into that hellhole again. I told my boss on Guam that I refused to go, and I didn't go. I refuse to go anywhere that violates my right to free speech and religion. SHAME on the U.S. Postal Service!!!

In the summer of 2009, I was terminated from employment at the U.S. Postal Service, put out of work by their new Employee Reassessment Program, due to a horrible fall at work in 2004 that injured my spinal cord and left me on disability (displaced disks, stenosis and radiculitis). I am very grateful to God for my disability, without which I would be homeless. I tried to continue working for a few years after my injury in 2004, but it progressively got worse to the point that I could no longer function in 2008, because of the intense radiating pain down my arms and legs. The pain is 80% on my right side, 20% left. The whole right side of my body feels half asleep all the time. Both of my arms feel like they are inflated with air. I underwent two major neck surgeries. The first in 2009 at Cedars Sinai Hospital in Los Angels, California, which is one of the WORST and ABUSIVE hospitals I've ever been in, but that's another long horror story.

My second surgery was in 2010 in Long Beach, California at the Pacific Hospital Of Long Beach. I had actually flown to San Diego to get the surgery, but it came to light a couple years later that my surgeon had been an accomplice to a criminal outfit, where the hospital was using unapproved illegal surgical hardware to receive kickback money. The OIG (Office of Inspector General) investigated the hospital and dozens of medical staff, surgeons and CEO's were convicted. Some went to prison. I still have the letter from the OIG, explaining what happened. As far as I can tell, the illegal surgical hardware in my neck didn't hurt me in any way (but still remains to be seen in the future). There is so much evil, corruption and tyranny in this world.

Anyway, I mentioned all of this to relate to Billy Sunday's audibly obvious walk with God. Billy Sunday prayed and talked outloud to God everywhere that he went, having no shame or embarrassment over what others might have thought, and I have been doing the same for most of my adult life. Since I live alone (and have since 2006 when my former wife abandoned and divorced me), I need to talk outload to the Lord each day. Everybody needs someone to talk to, even me. Jesus is the only Friend I have when I am alone at home, which is where I am most of the time due to my chronic neck pain and related bodily discomfort. I am often sad, discouraged and depressed from loneliness. I have tried to meet a Christian woman to marry, but haven't found anyone yet.

I almost found a wife on Guam in 2017, but the ungodly senior pastor of Harvest Baptist Church on Guam (Marty Herron) hated me, and refused to allow me to date his employee (their school nurse) that liked me (and I liked her), because I reproved Harvest's incompetent pastors in 2014 for preaching the Devil's lie of Lordship Salvation, and for promoting Devil's bibles, and for teaching a perverted meaning of repentance (i.e., the heresy that you must turn away from a sinful lifestyle to get to Heaven). Mr. Herron is now further ruining young people's lives as the incompetent vice president of Faith Baptist Bible College And Theological Seminary in Ankeny, Iowa. That ungodly rascal gets paid a much undeserved 6-digit salary.

Marty is a devil, that if I had my way, he would be serving a lengthy prison sentence for his spiritual crimes against God and humanity, and for his cruel abuse toward me as a needy human being. Pastors are destroying America! Jeremiah 12:10, “Many pastors have destroyed my vineyard, they have trodden my portion under foot, they have made my pleasant portion a desolate wilderness.” Jeremiah 23:1, “Woe be unto the pastors that destroy and scatter the sheep of my pasture!  saith the LORD.” Despite my pleas for Pastor Herron's mercy, he cruelly threw me under the bus and left me for dead. God will be His only Judge, and damnation his fate for trusting in a counterfeit gospel. Herron is a graduate of the Bob Jones University cult. Take a look at the Satanic heresy that they and Mr. Herron wickedly preach!!! Here are some backup articles showing BJU's damnable heresy.

Like Billy Sunday, I have taken an uncompromising stand against the corrupt Bob Jones cult, exposing their Satanic Calvinist preaching of Lordship Salvation (which is not the Gospel of free grace). I love this simple but effective chart...

The true Gospel always points you to CHRIST;
a false gospel always points to YOU.

I am no Billy Sunday, and that is not my goal. My sincere goal is to PREACH THE WORD. 2nd Timothy 4:2, “Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.” My goal is to let God's Holy Spirit work through me to help others—to feed Jesus' sheep, to educate and edify believers with THE TRUTH, and to win lost sinners to Christ with a clear presentation of THE GOSPEL.

Dear reader, please never forget:
There's a fine line between badass and dumbass.
There's a fine line between bravery and stupidity.
There's a fine line between faith and foolishness.
I just had to include those greater words of wisdom...lol.

I just want to let God be a blessing to others, by walking in the Spirit so that God can work through me as His humble servant, and in so doing make an impact for God (Galatians 5:22-25). The greatness of Billy Sunday was that he emptied himself of self, and yielded himself to God's Holy Spirit. A brilliant quote comes to mind from Pastor Dwight L. Moody:
“The world has yet to see what God can do with a man fully consecrated to him. By God’s help, I aim to be that man.”
In hindsight, we see the mighty impact that God made upon the world through men like Dwight Moody (1837-1899), Harry Ironside (1876-1951), Billy Sunday (1862-1935) and Jack Hyles (1926-2001). They weren't perfect men. Their doctrine wasn't always perfect. They were redeemed sinful men, just like you and me dear friend, but they were yielded to God. May we follow their example, by yielding our spirit, soul and body to be used of God.

These men never sought greatness, but to do the little things greatly. The most important job is the one that doesn't get done. Dr. Jack Hyles taught me that. If you care dear friend, then YOU WILL be diligent to pay attention to the details. I started doing something 20 years ago. I noticed one day that everyone abbreviates the books of the Holy Bible (e.g., Deut., Psa., Jn.). That bothered me a lot. Does not God's Word deserve the utmost respect? Yes, it does. Would you abbreviate your mother's name? Would we refer to President Joe Biden as “JB”? If you do, you shouldn't.

I have heard new-evangelicals refers to Jesus Christ as “JC.” That is taking the Lord's name in vain in my humble opinion. Perhaps you think this matter of abbreviating the books and names of the Bible as something small, but it is important to me. Hence, if you read ANY of my articles, blogs and books that I've written over the past 21 years of my website ministry for Jesus, you won't find any abbreviated books of the Bible. I always spell out the whole name of the book, out of respect for the inspired Word of God. There are many little things like that, which I do because I care about the little things, which is a form of greatness.

When I go to any store, I nearly always grab an empty cart in the parking lot to bring with me into the store. I'm going that way anyway. It helps the store. It sets a good example for others to see. Most of all, it keeps me in the humble spirit of living for others instead of myself. When most people think of greatness, they see Jesus feeding the 5,000 hungry people; but God saw the greatness of the little boy who gave up his lunch so that others could eat. Jesus could have just as easily made the food from the dirt of the ground, as he turned the water into desirable quality wine. But the dear Savior chose to use a little boy's lunch. That is very interesting. Pastor Jack Hyles preached a wonderful sermon based upon this miraculous Bible event, titled: "How Many Loaves Have Ye?"

Lord willing, I am still reading this classic old book about Billy Sunday from 1936, “TWENTY YEARS WITH BILLY SUNDAY,” and plan to write some more articles. Thank you for reading.

The Way To Lose Weight Is To Eat Right

Daniel 1:11-16, “Then said Daniel to Melzar, whom the prince of the eunuchs had set over Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah, Prove thy servants, I beseech thee, ten days; and let them give us pulse to eat, and water to drink. Then let our countenances be looked upon before thee, and the countenance of the children that eat of the portion of the king's meat: and as thou seest, deal with thy servants. So he consented to them in this matter, and proved them ten days. And at the end of ten days their countenances appeared fairer and fatter in flesh than all the children which did eat the portion of the king's meat. Thus Melzar took away the portion of their meat, and the wine that they should drink; and gave them pulse.”

Daniel knew that healthy living comes from healthy eating. We are what we eat! There are several successful ways to lose weight. The quickest and most effective short-term method to lose weight is an all out fast, where you just stop eating and drink only water; however, this is not healthy, nor a wise long-term decision. In fact, sudden crash fasting can even be dangerous. The best and most effective sure long-term method of losing weight is to simply eat healthy foods.

What foods should you eat? To lose weight you want to eat foods that are high in fiber and protein. These foods will make your body feel full and satisfied for longer periods of time, causing you to eat less food overall. But it is important, if you want to lose weight, that you have a little bit of discipline to LIMIT high caloric, highly refined and high carbohydrate foods.

Let me also say, before I say anything else, that to be successful you SHOULD have a meal plan for each day. Either the night before, or when I wake up each day, I plan my meals for the day. By deciding ahead of time what I am going to eat, it avoids my indulging on junk foods. Now, sometimes I PLAN to eat some decadent junk foods (e.g., ice cream, boxed pizza, processed foods, boxed mashed potatoes, candy, snack chips, donuts, Pizza Puffs, fruit gummies, deep friend shrimp, et cetera). There is no set plan that you have to follow. Each person is different. So it is very important that you choose a meal plan that is enjoyable. If you go on a sudden healthy diet, completely devoid of the foods that you love, it is very likely that you won't follow through on your new healthy diet.

So, having said that, I try to eat 75% healthy foods, and then allow 25% of less healthy foods (the ones that taste so good). I love my Nutri-Ninja blender and use it every day. Walmart, Amazon.com, BestBuy and other retailers sell the Nutri-Ninja. The Nutri-Ninja liquefies whatever you put into it. NEVER but a juicer, because it removes all the pulp. The pulp contains all the much needed fiber which helps your body. By just drinking juice you don't get any fiber, and you can easily drink way too many calories without feeling full. Fiber makes you feel full, which is very important to losing and maintaining proper weight.

This morning when I woke up, I thank God for another day, and told Jesus that I love Him. Then I picked up my big sized Nutri-Ninja cup and started to choose what I fill it up with. I start with some water, so nothing sticks to the bottom of the cup. I put about 15 big red grapes in the cup. I cut up and added one Ambrosia apple. Yesterday I used a Gala apple, and the day before a Cosmic Crisp apple. Walmart sells at least a dozen different kinds of apples. I switch each time I go shopping, to try different apple varieties. Variety is the spice of life!

Every morning I add 2-4 Tablespoons of whole or ground flaxseeds to my Nutri-Ninja cup. I prefer whole flaxseeds because I can just pour them into the cup. With the ground, you'll need to use a spoon. Either way is good. The flaxseeds are high in Omega-3 oils, which your body needs. Flaxseeds are GREAT for improving and maintaining great heart health. Just 2 Tablespoons of flaxseed each day, provides 100% of the body's RDA (Recommending Daily Allowance) of Omega-3 oils. I added some crushed ice today to my cup. I also added a teaspoon of ground cinnamon for flavor. I bought a Trilogy of Chia, Hemp and Flax seeds in a big plastic container at Walmart (by the oils). So I also usually add 1 Tablespoon daily of these seeds. Then I press the "Smoothie" button on my Nutri-Ninja and 60 seconds later it is ready to drink, 100% liquefied finely. That is a GREAT breakfast!

To keep my meal plan enjoyable, I allow for one regular tasty meal per day. So one some days I'll cook some bacon, eggs and hashbrowns, and also eat 2 slices of buttered raisin Ezekiel (flourless) bread. NEVER use artificial butter, like Margarine. Only use real butter, which is high in fat. There is a popular misconception that fat is bad for you, but the opposite is true. Foods high in fat make you feel full (satiated), which reduces cravings. The best cuts of beef are the ones full of white marbled fat, which I always look for when I go shopping. I try to avoid lean cuts of meat. The best tasting hamburger is regular hamburger with the most fat.

Now today I just had a super healthy breakfast (no bacon, hash browns or eggs), so later I'm planning on eating a barbequed 1/2 pound ribeye steak and a bag of mixed vegetables. Yesterday I ate tacos for dinner. That was my one regular tasty meal for the day. By "regular" I mean a high carbohydrate meal. If you want to lose weight, you need to reduce your carbohydrate intake. All of the diet plans (vegetarian, carnivore, Atkins, Jenny Craig, Keto, et cetera) all have one thing in common—they all focus on drastically reducing your carbohydrate (carbs) intake. All of your favorite foods are high in carbs, which the body converts into glucose sugar, and stores excess amounts as visceral fat, especially in your belly (men tend to store more fat in their upper body and belly, but women in their thighs, belly and buttocks).

If you will just start eating healthy food every day, you will lose about 1-2 pounds per week. Yesterday for breakfast, in addition to my Nutri-Ninja drink, I ate a bowl of 'Great Grains' (whole grain) cereal, sprinkled with cranberries and almonds that I bought in a package at Walmart. It tastes great. I prefer to use whole Vitamin D real milk, but almond milk (sweetened or unsweetened) is also great (and contains only a fraction of the calories of whole milk). Today for lunch, I ate a can of Great Northern Beans that I microwaved. I put 1 Tablespoon of Louisiana spicy cocktail shrimp sauce in there for great flavoring. Just that 1 can of beans provides 100% RDA of fiber for my body.

Dear reader, you CAN lose weight if you are obese. I read last week that 40% of Americans are now obese. More important than losing weight so that you can look and feel better, is the prevention of many chronic diseases that being obese and eating processed foods causes. I read a study this week from Europe, in which studies they performed on about 175,000 people, showed that for every 10% increase in eating highly refined processed foods (ice cream, boxed pizzas, white breads and pastries, white sugar, sugary sodas, sausages, Tv dinners, et cetera), results in a 6% increased risk of getting cancer. So if all you eat is processed foods, you have a 60% chance of getting cancer, likely in your colon.

Now, I don't know about you, but I don't like the idea of having medical devices shoved where the sun don't shine to probe me. I think I'll eat healthy and try to avoid contracting chronic disease. It may still happen, but I am going to eat a lot more healthy foods to try to prevent unnecessary manmade diseases. Last night before bed I drank another smoothie, which had several big fresh strawberries, 1/2 small tray of fresh blackberries, 1 Tablespoon of flax seeds and 1 yellow kiwi (peel, seeds and all). Good stuff!!!

When I put any fruit into my Nutri-Ninja, I never peel anything, I eat the whole fruit (seeds, stem, peel and all). But I do remove the stickers on the fruit from the store. For some reason each kiwi has a sticker on it. I hope I am encouraging you to take control of your health and eat better. That is why I wrote this blog, to be helpful and help others, to be a better you.

I try to drink mostly water, very little classic Coke, and once in a while diet Coke. I love the bite in the Cola. I've had lots of people warn me about Diet Coke, but my humble opinion is that Diet Coke is MUCH better for you than all that toxic corn syrup in regular Coke. I've done a lot of reading on Diet Coke. Unless you're drinking 1 1/2 gallons per day of Diet Coke, you've got nothing to worry about.

And for that matter, drinking too much water is unsafe, which can kill you. It is a true story, that a radio station in California held a peeing contest. One woman drank so much water, trying to win, that she literally died of water intoxication. The radio station was sued and a jury awarded $16,577,188 damages against the KDND radio station. So my personal opinion is that it is best to drink water (one ounce for every 2 pounds of your body's weight; so if you weight 160 pounds, you should drink 80 ounces of water per day; one gallon is 128 pounces). If like me you love Cola-Cola, I think Diet Coke is better than regular Coke, especially if you are diabetic). Diet Coke WON'T spike your sugar, but classic coke WILL. No doubt some people will disagree with me on this last point about drinking diet sodas. To each his own.

God bless and thank you for reading.
