How To Have Super Human Power

Proverbs 16:32, “He that is slow to anger is better than the mighty; and he that ruleth his spirit than he that taketh a city.”

I was listening to the Proverbs this morning as I often do (and so should you because we all need God's wisdom). I heard our text passages of Scripture and something caught my attention. The Bible doesn't say that you'll be mighty if you control your temper, it says that you will be BETTER than the mighty. Victory over another is the shallowest victory in the world, because all you need to triumph is an inferior opponent. That is why the Word of God teaches that if you can control your own temper, you are greater than he that overthrows a city.

I like President Donald Trump, but he gets under my skin sometimes with his arrogance and proudful comments. For the past several weeks he's been braggadociously touting the victory of the United States over Iran. I really think he's doing it just to irk and annoy Iran's leaders. By the way, I found this amazing article in my archives written by Congressman Ron Paul from 2020, in which he predicted that President Trump would attack Iran.

I had also predicted back in 2016 that if elected as U.S President, Donald Trump would take us to war and further the domestic police state. I suspect that when the war in Iran is over, Mr. Trump in the years ahead will deal with crime that is out of control right now in major cities like Chicago. What do you expect, considering that the government took the Holy Bible out of all classrooms since 1963. A man who had been arrested and released 72 times set a 26 year old woman on fire in 2025.

So, defeating Iran is nothing to brag about, considering that Iran is still using 1970's old technology and weaponry from the Cold War Era. But the Bible says if you can control your own spirit, you are mightier than a warrior who conquers a city. You are your own greatest opponent, a formidable enemy. By the grace of God, Jesus wants to live the Christian life THROUGH US if we will simply yield ourselves as a vessel to do God's will.

Galatians 2:20, “I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.”

I learned a very long time ago that in my own human strength I cannot live the Christian life. If I try, I will fail again and again and again and again. The Spirit of Jesus Christ lives through me in the form of His Spirit. That is, the “fruit” of the indwelling Holy Spirit (Galatians 5:22-25).

Proverbs 17:28, “Even a fool, when he holdeth his peace, is counted wise: and he that shutteth his lips is esteemed a man of understanding.” The Bible says even if your are a complete fool, if you'll just keep quiet people around you will count you as being wise. Wow! You can have instant character in the eyes of others just be shutting up! Just by staying silent, the Bible says people will esteem you a man of understanding. In sharp contrast, “a fool's voice is known by multitude of words” (Ecclesiastes 5:3b). You can achieve perceived super human power by just keeping your mouth shut dear reader.
