Freddie Mercury’s Family Faith: The Ancient Religion of Zoroastrianism

In the Freddie Mercury biopic, “Bohemian Rhapsody,” there’s a scene in which a family member scolds Mercury.
“So now the family name is not good enough for you?”
“I changed it legally,” Mercury responds. “No looking back.”
It might come as a surprise to some that Freddie Mercury was born Farrokh Bulsara. He came from a Parsi family that had roots in India and he was a Zoroastrian by faith.
In the world religion courses I teach at the University of Florida, we discuss Zoroastrianism.
Fleeing religious persecution from Muslims in Persia sometime between the seventh and 10th centuries, the Zoroastrians settled in India, where they came to be called “Parsis.”
Like Freddie Mercury, they worked to integrate into their new surroundings. Yet they also stayed true to the values, beliefs, and practices of their religion, which many scholars say had an influence on Christianity, Islam, and Judaism.

The inspired Word of God is very clear that there is only ONE WAY to the Father, which is through faith in His only begotten (biological) Son, Jesus Christ. John 14:6, “Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” The Father's will concerning redemption is that every human being rest in Christ's sacrificial death on the cross, burial and resurrection (the Gospel) as full payment for our sins (1st Corinthians 15:1-6). There is no other way to Heaven (Acts 4:10-12).
In a bizarre 1973 song titled, “Jesus,” the band Queen (formed in London in 1970) sing the lyrics: “All going down to see the Lord Jesus.” Talk about strange and confusing! In itself, that song in no way indicates what the individual band members believed concerning the afterlife. Legendary Queen guitarist Brian May (born 1947) had this to say about the mysterious song...
“Freddie was obviously born a Parsi into the Zoroastrian faith, but he also attended a school in Zanzibar which I believe was a Christian school," Brian May told Mojo magazine. "The workings of Freddie's mind were interesting and sometimes obscure. I don't know where his lyrics for Jesus came from anymore than I know where 'Bohemian Rhapsody' came from.” SOURCE
We have no public statements from Freddie Mercury to lead us to believe anything other than that he perished in his false Zoroastrian religion. John 6:40, “And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day.” Jesus because Queen released a song called “Jesus” in 1973, eighteen years before his premature death caused by his sodomite deathstyle, doesn't mean he was a Christian.
In Queen's 1975 famous song, “Bohemian Rhapsody,” Freddie Mercury writes in the lyrics: “Beelzebub has a devil put aside for me, for me, for me!” That's no different than the band members of Black Sabbath all wearing cross necklaces. So also did Ozzy Osbourne wear cross necklaces throughout his Satanic career of glorifying sin, shame and the Devil. The Devil's crowd do this deliberately to confuse young people. Satan is the author of confusion.
During U.S. President Joe Biden's 4-year reign of debauchery, incompetence, shame and wickedness, the U.S. federal government strongly promoted demonic transgendered confusion in public schools nationwide. I shudder and cringe to think what evils the Democrats will return our nation to when they retake the White House in a few years. All that Diversity, Equality and Inclusivity (DEI) Satanic garbage is coming back, I assure you. Our children deserve better! God deserves better!
In a 2022 book titled, “The Stone Age: Sixty Years of the Rolling Stones,” by music journalist Lesley-Ann Jones, she reveals that The Rolling Stones homosexual frontman Mick Jagger had ungodly sexual flings with band guitarist Keith Richards, and former guitarist David Bowie. That is gross and sickening! If you don't think homosexuality is gross, you are not right with God. I noticed many years ago that even the heathen world are embarrassed by sodomites, so they will often refer to a homosexual like Mick Jagger as being “bisexual.”
The word homosexual is much more embarrassing than bisexual, because even the heathen world thinks there's something wrong with a homosexual man who doesn't still like women. The issue arises because of different understanding of the term homosexual. Technically, a “homosexual” is someone who only has sex with men, but to most people a “homosexual” simply refers to someone who has sex with their own gender.
In truth, all bisexuals are homosexuals with all the negative and shameful stigma that should go along with that sinful designation. There has been a Satanic agenda at work for the past half century that is trying to remove the stigma, shame and negative implications of being a homosexual. In short, those wicked reprobates are trying to change the laws of nature. ...
Romans 1:24-27, “Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves: Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen. For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.”
Please understand dear reader that I do not hate anybody. I believe homosexuals can still be saved, and that God loves them unconditionally. Christ died for all sinners (1st John 2:2). God hates the sin, not the sinner. We should never bash the homosexual community, but Bible preachers should preach against the sin of homosexuality, just as he must expose all sins. 1st Timothy 5:20, “Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear.”
It is not my place as a child of God to condemn anybody. James 4:12, “There is one lawgiver, who is able to save and to destroy: who art thou that judgest another?” The Bible DOES teach us to judge as believers, but to judge righteous judgment. John 7:24, “Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment.” That is to say, our opinions should always be brought into line (agreement) with the inspired Word of God. Any opinion that goes against God's opinion is heresy.
My heart goes out to Freddie Mercury, because unless there was a miraculous death bed conversion, he went to burn in Hell forever. John 8:24, “I said therefore unto you, that ye shall die in your sins: for if ye believe not that I am he, ye shall die in your sins.”
The inspired King James Bible teaches in 2nd Peter 3:9, “The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.” God does not want even the worst sinner on the planet to spend eternity suffering in a burning furnace in Hell. God wants all humans to repent (i.e., change our mind) from the sin of unbelief, to believing on the name of the Lord Jesus Christ (Acts 16:30-31). That is the only means to be born again.
Please understand that I didn't write this blog to cast a negative reflection upon Freddie Mercury, despite the fact that he lived a Sodomistic reckless life of open wickedness and disregard for God his Creator. I wrote this ministry blog in hope of reaching YOU dear friend for Christ. If you have never been born again, then please do so now before it is too late.
It is too late for Freddie, wherever he went in eternity, but it's not too late for you dear reader. At the heathen world's funerals, they always foolishly assume that “he's in a better place now” or “she's in a better place now,” with total disregard for the Holy Scripture. What saith the Scripture? Revelation 20:15, “And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.” Please make sure that you've been born again.
