Our Faithful Creator's Greatness Is Unsearchable

Psalms 19:1-3, “The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork. Day unto day uttereth speech, and night unto night sheweth knowledge. There is no speech nor language, where their voice is not heard.”

God is more than amazing! I've been watching astronomy videos on YouTube. The universe is absolutely amazing! The temperature in space is -454°F. Absolute zero is -459.6°F. Whereas one cubic yard of earth's air has quadrillions of atoms, one cubic yard of outer space has just one atom. That's why it is so cold.

When you look up at the stars at night, you're looking at light that has travelled trillions and quadrillions of miles. The nearest star to the earth, after our own sun, is Alpha Centauri, which is 25 trillion miles away (4.3 light years). The brightest star in the evening sky is Sirius, which is 50 trillion miles away (8.6 light years). The farthest known star from the earth is 164,601,510,449,141,016,463,851 miles away (165 sextillion miles; or 28 billion light years). Wow!

The intriguing beautiful planet Saturn has 146 moons! Wow!

Venus is the only planet in our solar system that actually rotates backwards. A day on Venus lasts about 243 earth days, which is longer than its year (equivalent to 225 earth days). This means that a single rotation on Venus' axis takes more time than the planet requires to orbit around the Sun. The earth takes 365.26 days to orbit the sun. I love astronomy!

I took these photos from my front yard this morning...

Psalms 145:3, “Great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised; and his greatness is unsearchable.”
