The Damnable False Gospel Of Pastor Jack Hibbs

Galatians 1:6-7, “I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel: Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ. But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.”

Jack Hibbs is the senior and founding pastor of Calvary Chapel Chino Hills, based in Southern California, the Founder & President of Real Life ministry, and a nationally syndicated TV & Radio host. On his ministry website on the webpage titled, "Yes - You Can Know God," Pastor Hibbs errantly states:
“Becoming a Christian is not merely believing some creed or going to church. It is having Christ Himself take residence in your life and heart.” SOURCE
Getting saved has nothing to do with Christ taking residence in your life. That is the heresy of Lordship Salvation, which has plagued today's church, turning them into deadly cults.

Pastor Hibbs further heretically states:
“The Bible tells us, “Repent of your sins and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped away.” The word repent means to change our direction in life.” SOURCE
No, the Bible does NOT tell us to repent “of your sins to be saved. I triple-dog dare you to show me anywhere in the inspired King James Bible, where it teaches to repent of your sins or “turn from your sins” to get to Heaven. Wicked men added those extra words to the Holy Bible (Proverbs 30:5-6).

Pastor Hibbs further heretically states:
Receive Jesus Christ into your life.” SOURCE
Again, nowhere does the Word of God require this action to be saved. You can invite Christ into your life and split Hell wide open when you die. Judas invited Jesus into his life, but he sadly went to Hell forever. The false prophets in Matthew 7:21-23 follow Jesus, even calling Him “Lord, Lord.” (There's the false doctrine of Lordship Salvation exposed in the Bible.) The Bible promises salvation to the person who simply BELIEVES ON JESUS. John 6:47, “Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me hath everlasting life. Don't let any liar deceive you into thinking that you have to follow Christ as the Lord of your life to be saved.

Pastor Jack Hibbs requires the reader to pray a Sinner's Prayer, but he doesn't bother to tell anyone that you could simply BELIEVE without praying a prayer to get to Heaven. You DON'T have to ask, call or pray to be saved, God is already asking you to take His FREE GIFT of eternal life (Romans 5:15-18). It is not a sin to ask God to save you, but it is totally unnecessary to get to Heaven. Why would you ask someone to give you what they are already freely offering for you to take?

Pastor Hibbs further leads readers to repeat this corrupt prayer to be saved:
“Dear Lord Jesus, I know I am a sinner. I believe You died for my sins. Right now, I turn from my sins and open the door of my heart and life. I confess You as my personal Lord and Savior. Thank You for saving me. Amen.”” SOURCE
First, he leaves out Jesus' burial and resurrection from the dead, which are a part of the Gospel (1st Corinthians 15:1-4). Pastor Hibbs unbiblically requires you to turn from your sins to be saved. Let me tell you something friend, NO ONE has ever turned from their sins, Jesus came to die on a cross to pay our massive debt of sins. You're either saved and your sins have been washed away by the precious blood of Jesus (1st John 1:7), or else you're still trying to turn from your sins to get to Heaven and are headed straight for the eternal Lake of Fire when you die (John 10:1).

The counterfeit plan of salvation which Pastor Jack Hibbs is preaching is NOT the simple plan of salvation which is taught in the inspired Word of God.
