Ungodly Bible Colleges Are Destroying Churches

Jeremiah 23:1-2, “Woe be unto the pastors that destroy and scatter the sheep of my pasture!  saith the LORD. Therefore thus saith the LORD God of Israel against the pastors that feed my people; Ye have scattered my flock, and driven them away, and have not visited them: behold, I will visit upon you the evil of your doings, saith the LORD.”

Please run from Pensacola Christian College (PCC)! I attended Campus Church at PCC for several months in 2021, when I moved to Pensacola from the island of Guam. When I disclosed that I am divorced, the PCC cult immediately ostracized me. Whereas some men had befriended me at first at church, when I mentioned that I was divorced and hoping to find a wife, nobody wanted to sit next to me anymore, like I had COVID-19. You should have saw the looks on their faces when I said I hoped to remarry, which is taboo at PCC.

Sadly, Pastor Jeff Redlin patronized me, making me feel like garbage as a human being. I was 54 years old at the time. I kindly mentioned to Pastor Redlin that I hoped to find a wife at Campus Church, after being divorced and alone for the past 15 years since 2006. I was deeply hurt when he actually scolded me for coming to Campus Church to find a wife. But I had never said that was the reason I came to Campus Church, he ass-u-me-d that.

Redlin has been the senior pastor at PCC since 2018. Not once did he ever offer to pray with me. Not once did he ever express even the slightest sympathy or empathy for my loneliness, health issues, and that I was surviving out of a suitcase in a cheap motel at the time. Pastor Redlin gets paid a 6-digit disgusting salary annually, spoiled rotten. There is no compassion or love at PCC. The cult system always comes first, but individual people do not matter. You will learn this if you go there.

I am not trying to be unkind, I am being very honest—Pastor Jeff Redlin woefully lacks God's unconditional love for people, for broken sinners. Timothy Zacharias (assistant pastor) is no better, cold-hearted and as phony as can be. All they care about is doing their job and getting paid. Their actions speaks much loudly their their words do, hypocrites.

I am a thankful graduate of Hyles-Anderson College (1985-1993). Pastor Jack Hyles (1926-2001) wasn't perfect (and he was the first to admit it), but he genuinely loved everybody. I love and miss Brother Hyles. I learned compassion for sinners from Dr. Hyles, something that PCC hasn't learned since 1975 when they started. Pastor Hyles is right—PCC are academics, not church builders, so they lack compassion for people. People just want to be loved. I left Campus Church in late 2021, broken-hearted and frustrated at the woeful lack of love or compassion for people at PCC. A dead spirit permeates the place, religion without a genuine walk with God.

During the time I attended PCC's Campus Church, the place felt spiritually dry, missing the presence of the Holy Spirit. The music is pretty, but it is shallow. Even worse, PCC teaches a wrong understanding of Bible repentance. Whereas Bible repentance is simply a change of mind, PCC's official doctrinal position is that to get to Heaven you must “follow and obey God's will instead of your self-serving sins.” That is works, not grace. You'll find the preceding quote in the booklet of "John & Romans" distributed by Campus Church at PCC. They just delivered a copy to my home's mailbox in Pensacola where I live.

I was so lonely in 2022 that I contacted Campus Church and PCC, in two separate letters that I mailed to them, sincerely apologizing for criticizing them on social media, and pleading to come back to church. But they cold-heartedly refused. Pastor Redlin emailed me to say that I am permanently banned from returning to Campus Church. He didn't lift a finger to try to reconcile with me. They are immature at PCC. These people are religious thugs! I love everybody, God knows my heart.
In hindsight, I never should have requested to go back to a cult, and I believe God was protecting me. Loneliness is a difficult thing to cope with.

Kindly said, PCC is a cult of snobby married people who look down on divorced Christians. They will reject, ostracize and look down their long Pharisaical noses on anyone who is divorced and ever hopes to remarry. In their mind, you are supposed to suffer the rest of your life and pretend that you don't have a libido. They are out of touch with reality at PCC. The Bible says in 1 Corinthians 7:1 that every man should have a wife, and every woman a husband.

I have been a born-again believer since age 13 in 1980. I know love when I see it, and indifference when I see it. PCC is woefully lacking in love for people. They are indifferent, refusing to contend for the faith, or reach out to hurting people who have been driven away by their unfriendliness. I don't recommend that anyone go to the PCC camp for any reason, unless you want to be influenced by their shallow, lame and abusive authoritarian religious cult. The system at PCC always comes first, but individuals do not matter. That is the bottom line.

A lady asked me if she should work at PCC. You definitely don't want to work at this intolerant place. Every vehicle that enters PCC's campus to attend Campus Church is scrutinized by security, which is creepy if you ask me. Search online for Samantha Field, a PCC alumnus. Prepare to be shocked. They treated alumni Peter Gage an Allen Armentrout like trash, as they do anybody who offends them. You're not allowed to be an individual person at PCC, you must conform to the cult.

PCC sued Peter for $100,000. PCC has no loyalty to anyone except their own, and they will hurt and expel anyone who dares to challenge their cult authority. It is sad and shameful the way PCC goes through all the motions, but without Christ's unconditional love for people—the very same people that they falsely claim to care about. PCC is training future religious leaders and pastors, which is tragic. The apple rarely falls farther than the tree. People just want to be loved.

(Pastor Jack Hyles)
