Why Things Are So Bad These Days

Revelation 12:12, “Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time.”

I am 54 years old. I was born in Chicago in 1967. It seems like just yesterday that I was 17 years old. Where did the years go? It is hard for me to grasp that my life is winding down toward the end here on earth. I heard a preacher at a revival the other day say: “The first day of sin is the best day of sin, but every day with Jesus is sweeter than the day before.” What a great quote! I like that. And also he said: “You can live it up in this life, but you can never live it down!” Amen. I love church revivals. We sure need revivals today in the churches!!!

At age 54, I am shocked how much the United States has changed for the worse during my lifetime. When I was a child you didn't see women with tattoos. It was virtually unheard of in the 1970's. But today it is becoming hard to find a woman who isn't adorned in tattoos. Dear reader, no Christian ought ever receive a permanent tattoo. I don't even think we should wear temporary ones, but certainly God did not intend for us to horribly mark up our body with ink. I can understand when a loved one dies and family members want to honor and remember them by getting a tattoo. But I still don't think we ought to vandalize the house of God. The believer's body is the temple of the Holy Spirit (1st Corinthians 3:16-17). God made us the way He wanted us to look.

I could mention hundreds of subjects relating to how bad things have become in our country. It is a crying shame how our wicked U.S. government has intentionally allowed 50,000,000 illegal aliens to flood into our country since the 1970's, giving them welfare, education, housing and in many cases benefits and perks that even U.S. citizens are not privileged to receive. And our government forces us to pay for it. That is wicked treason!

From legalized abortion (murder) to legalized sodomy, God's curse is upon the United States for forsaking the Word of God. Satan is the god of this evil world (2nd Corinthians 4:3-4). I never imagined in my youth that a time would come in our nation when homosexuals would have so many rights, and transgenderism would be forced upon our youth through the newsmedia, entertainment public schools and even many churches today. We need not fret as saints, because in the end we will come out on top, but the world will suffer in Hell forever (1st John 2:15-17). This dark and dreary world of sin will soon pass away for another generation, but he that doeth the will of God (which is to BELIEVE on Christ, John 6:40) will live forever.

“Ladies and gentleman, do you want to know why the television programs have gotten as rotten as the Devil in recent years? Do you want to know why the narcotic problem is a menace to almost every high school in this nation? Do you know why that the plays and movies have become full of nude scenes? Do you want to know why that cursing is allowed on television, and things that used to be censored are now accepted? Do you want to know why that mini-skirts are running rampant, and you want to know why that Communism, and Rock music, and all the dirty things that Satan has caused in our generation; do you want to know why they're here?

I'll tell you why, Jesus is coming soon! The Devil is going to get put down soon, and he knows he has but a short time. So he comes in the last days of this age and says, “I'm going to have great wrath, great fury, I'll launch every weapon I have, I'll launch every gun I have, I'll take every bit of the arsenal out of Hell and point it at the people on earth.”

Now here's one of the tragic things about this entire Scripture (i.e., Revelation 12:12), and that is the Devil is wiser than we are. We also know we have but a short time. He knows he has a short time, he gets busy; we know we have a short time, we stay home and watch television... We've got to stay busy for God!”

Amen and amen! Dr. Hyles is absolutely right! The Devil is sadly wiser than we are as Christians. We know that our time is short and we go watch television. The Devil knows that his time is short and he gets busy to kill, steal and destroy. My happy thought as a Christian is knowing that I am already on the winning side. I don't have to wonder, worry or hope that Jesus Christ wins in the end, I already KNOW that we are winners in Christ!

Romans 8:36-39, “As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter. Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

I love that! The Bible teaches that even though we are persecuted and suffer as saints in this temporary life, we are MORE THAN CONQUERORS through Jesus Who loved us, which He proved by dying on the cross for us (Romans 5:6-9). Things will only get much worse in the United States. The general moral trend for the past century has been downward, and I see no reason why that downward trend wouldn't continue. Clearly, there is a subversive spiritually dark power (the power of Satan) behind the dismantling of the United States. This Satanic power can be readily seen by someone who knows what to look for.

For example: Most people watch Taylor Swift's music videos and don't see what I see, because as a Bible preacher and a child of God who sincerely cares about our youth today, I pay close attention to the content in such music videos. This video by Taylor Swift is despicable, shocking and should alarm and anger every responsible parent in the country!!! This evil brat is talking in 2021 about running for the governorship of the state of Virginia. I vote that she goes to prison! I hope you read the preceding shocking article that I wrote to expose the wickedness of Taylor Swift, and moreover to educate parents about the Satanic powers behind the corruption of children and teenagers today.

We cannot control what the world and the Devil does. But we CAN control what we do! I don't know about you dear reader, but my mindset is that by God's grace I want to think right, live right and do right! If you would never do anything horribly wicked, then never do anything slightly wicked. What ever you allow into your life becomes a part of you! Be careful who you choose to have as friends. I only want true born-again believers as friends. I don't want any friends who drink booze, chase women or smoke cigarettes. I am no better than anybody else, but I don't want to be negatively influenced by people who think and live wrong.

As Dr. Hyles explains, the reason why things are so bad nowadays is not just because we are all sinners by nature and by choice, but because Satan is working relentlessly behind the scenes through the lying newsmedia, fake Bibles, perverse entertainment, corrupt government, wicked courts, secular education, corrupt Bible colleges, our fraudulent economy and false religion to kill, steal and destroy the masses. Very few Americans realize that our money supply is controlled by private greedy bankers. They manipulate the interest rate to determine our standard of living. Through unjust taxation women have been forced into the workplace, to war against motherhood and reduce the size of families. Our lying newsmedia is based on fraud, a den of thieves and liars! Satan is the god of this evil world.

Our precious Lord said this in John 16:33, “ These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.” If you are walking with God in personal righteous as His child, because we have been redeemed by the righteousness of God which is through faith alone in Christ, then you can hold your head high and BE OF GOOD CHEER!!!

I view American society as a big mousetrap. Everywhere we turn there is temptation. Hollywood is not your friend! Women dress like whores. Men behave like pigs. People's minds are in the garbage pail. Americans are in debt, obese, perverse, irresponsible, angry, selfish and out of control. The answer is the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ. The answer is to center one's life around the New Testament local church. We all need Bible preaching! We all need each other as God's redeemed children. The most miserable believers are those who go it alone, avoiding attending a local church for whatever reason. We all need a church family to fit in and feel welcomed. And other people need us too. Somebody needs our love and encouragement in the Lord.
