1st Corinthians 2:14-16, “But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged of no man. For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ.”
I went to my doctor today for my monthly visit for my neck pain and related afflictions. She saw that I am having difficulty sleeping and gave me a prescription for Cymbalta. Now, I am not a complete idiot. I always go home and Google information about any new drug I am prescribed to learn about it. I found out today that Cymbalta comes with a BLACK BOX LABEL from the Food And Drug Administration (FDA). Dear reader, read what a “Black Box Warning” means:
“Found on the package insert for prescription drugs, this is the most serious warning given by the FDA. A drug gets a black box warning when it has potentially serious adverse reactions that could lead to hospitalization and death.” SOURCE [emphasis theirs, not mine]
I would have to be insane to put that crap into my body!!! I would rather lie awake at night and go work on my ministry website at 3 am, than to end up in a coma, having seizures or die from taking Cymbalta!!! I then realized what a great illustration this drug is to all the dangerous false doctrines being taught in the churches today. Millions of dumb Americans take these dangerous drugs! Do you know why they do? It is simply because THEY ARE THERE! I mean, just because the drugs exist, and doctors prescribe them, people take them!!!
Sadly, even today's incompetent doctors have been indoctrinated by medical schools in cahoots with the greedy drug companies, so that even the doctors themselves ignore the multitudes of blatant warnings about taking these dangerous drugs. Dear friend, likewise millions of people are following a counterfeit plan of salvation, simply because it is there! Millions of people are believing the Devil's lie of “Lordship” salvation because it exists. It frustrates me that tens of millions of Americans turn on their television sets and watch the most corrupt preachers in the world, for no other reason than they are on TV.
Folks, just because the greedy pharmaceutical companies manufacture a drug, doesn't mean it is safe or that you ought to put it into your body. Just because a COVID-19 vaccinations exists doesn't mean that it is safe. In fact, a shocking 11,000 Americans have already died from the COVID-19 vaccination shot. Friend, just because a vaccine is available doesn't mean you should take it! Just because drugs are available for this and for that, doesn't mean you should aimlessly put them into your mouth. You could die!!! And just because Dr. Steve Pettit preaches Calvinism at Bob Jones University doesn't mean that we should accept it! You will end up in Hell forever!!!
It is sinful human nature to corrupt God's simple and free plan of salvation. This is because by nature humans feel guilty, which compels us to want to do something to right our wrongs. So in the unsaved mind of heretics like Marty Herron, Gary Walton, John MacArthur, Chuck Phelps and Steve Pettit, they think it is reasonable that a lost sinner should be willing to forsake their sinful lifestyle from which they are being pardoned. In their thinking, if you are not first willing to reform of those sinful ways, God will refuse to pardon you because of your wrong attitude. They errantly mistake this change of attitude which leads to reformation as repentance. But it is not repentance, it is WORKS! They fail to understand that we are saved 100% by GOD'S RIGHTEOUSNESS, not our own. Philippians 3:9, “And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith:”
True Bible repentance is laying aside your WRONG THOUGHTS so that you instead embrace the Gospel by faith. Repentance has nothing to do with laying aside your sinful ways. Let's examine some terms:
- penitence = sorrow for sin
- penance = making a mend for sin
- reformation = turning away from sin
- repentance = a change of mind
Penitence, penance and reformation are NOT repentance, although they may or may not accompany repentance. The man who believes on the Lord Jesus Christ HAS also repented. It is not necessary to tell a lost sinner to repent to be saved. In fact, to do so will only confuse them, unless you explain to them what it means. Repentance is simply realizing that you are a guilty sinner, a needy sinner. Your great need friend if you have never been saved is Christ!!!
Have you ever seen a movie where somebody said: “I think...” But then someone is charge said: “You don't get paid to think!” That's how I feel like responding to Marty Herron, Steve Pettit, Gary Walton, John MacArthur and Chuck Phelps. They are thinking too much on their own, perverting the Gospel of free grace. I can almost hear the Savior saying to those Pharisees: “I didn't author the Bible for you to think! I gave you THE TRUTH and all you had to do was obey it, but you changed it to something different entirely!”
Do you know why a boss would say: “You don't get paid to think!”? It is only because some subordinate decided to DO THINGS HIS OWN WAY INSTEAD OF FOLLOWING ORDERS FROM UP TOP!!! Hey, that reminds me of a Scripture! Matthew 7:21, “Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.” As these foolish hellbound false prophets learned the hard way, you don't get to Heaven by doing things YOUR OWN WAY! You got to Heaven if you do the Father's will, which we read in John 6:40, “And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day.”
