Romans 4:4-7, “Now to him that worketh is the reward not reckoned of grace, but of debt. But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness. Even as David also describeth the blessedness of the man, unto whom God imputeth righteousness without works, Saying, Blessed are they whose iniquities are forgiven, and whose sins are covered.”
There was never a bigger lie told than that you must “turn away from sin,” or “be willing to turn from sin,” to receive God's free gift of eternal life. Our churches have become religious cults today, as this Devil's lie of misunderstood repentance infects more and more churches every day. Thankfully, Pastor Curtis Hutson (1934-1995) saw this woeful evil and he exposed it in his faithful Bible preaching!!!
Romans 4:4 plainly teaches that if salvation is by works, then it is no longer of grace. I marvel in grief as I hear pastor after pastor foolishly maintain that they still preach a salvation by God's grace, while at the same time demanding that people make an effort to stop sinning to prove the sincerity of their faith to be saved. No such requirement is taught in the Bible. There are no qualifications to coming to Christ for salvation, except that you come as a guilty sinner! We contribute NOTHING to our salvation, except for the sin that made it necessary.
The evidence that a person's faith is real is the presence of faith itself. I am sick and tired of hearing this garbage about “real faith.” Friend, there is only one kind of faith. Your faith may be dead, meaning that your life doesn't support your profession of faith, but it is still faith nonetheless. Faith is faith. We often hear about mountain moving faith, but did not our blessed Savior teach that even the smallest amount of faith (as a tiny grain of mustard seed) is enough to move mountains? Yes, He sure did! Matthew 17:20, “And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.” Do you have faith my friend?
The Word of God says that God damns these heretical pastors. I am disgusted that so many stupid pastors today excuse these doctrines of devils as mere semantics. I heard a stupid pastor make the lame excuse that in order to turn TO something, you have to also turn FROM something. So in his foolish thinking, it is acceptable to teach that a person must “turn away from sin” to be saved. That man is a theological fool and I doubt his salvation. With that type of corrupt thinking, you could justify any heresy! It is the popular half-truth, the most deadly of all deceptions. The truthful part is that you must turn FROM something, in order to turn TO something. The lying part is that you must turn away from sinful bad habits, reform, and make a conscious effort to stop sinning. That is 100% WORKS! The only thing that you need to literally turn from to be saved, is whatever is hindering you from coming to Christ by faith. We don't get saved by repenting, we get saved by BELIEVING, which repentance facilitates (makes possible). Repentance is automatic. The man who believes on Christ as His personal Savior has repented (i.e., he has changed his mind).
I have received countless emails over the years in my ministry, from people who are scared they may not be saved, because of sin in their life. I have heard many people tell me that they have sinful bad habits, and no desire to stop doing them, and they are worried of going to Hell, after hearing the Devil's lies of Misunderstood Repentance and Lordship Salvation (Pastor Jack Hyles exposes these heresies) from corrupt preachers. Dear friend, you DON'T have to quit even one sin to be saved. Nor do you have to be willing to stop sinning to be saved. Repentance is the acknowledgment of THE TRUTH (2nd Timothy 2:25), that you are a guilty sinner in God's sight (Romans 3:19-20). Bible repentance does NOT mean forsaking your sinful ways. Repentance is not reformation. Judas brought back the 30 pieces of silver, returning the blood money to the Pharisees. Judas was a changed man. Judas was regretful and felt guilty. Judas tried to do penance, making a mend. Yet Judas went to Hell because of his unbelief. Judas never repented toward God. Judas never changed his mind about the Gospel. Friend, if you think turning away from your sins proves you are saved, you are NOT saved! If you think that turning away from your sins is necessary to get to Heaven, you are not saved.
These Calvinist liars from the Bob Jones University crowd (including Marty Herron, Gary Walton, Steve Pettit, John MacArthur and countless others) will all say that you don't have to be perfect to be saved. They'll admit that even the best Christians still commit sin. But they teach that you must hate your sins and have a desire to stop sinning, which they say will be manifest in your life, or else they say you are not really saved. I never hear the Bob Jones crowd preach on assurance of salvation. They don't believe in eternal Security. Read for yourself that heretical words of damnable false prophet, Steve Pettit at BJU. If you don't faithful enter, run and finish the race, Pettit says you are not going to Heaven. That is 100% works for salvation! Yet, you cannot speak wisdom to the foolish pastors at the Harvest Baptist Church on Guam. They are devils in the pulpit, deceiving the people. The kids in their ministry smile and have good manners, identical to the kids at the local Seventh-Day Adventist schools on Guam. Good manners, kindness and high academic scores at school don't grant anyone the right to enter into God's Kingdom.
Sadly, the deceived church members and students of the Harvest Baptist Academy, Harvest Baptist Bible College and other related ministries, such as Harvest House, are all going to Hell because of Marty Herron and Gary Walton. These wicked religious men and their Satanic “turn away from your sin” junk theology, cannot produce the new birth. I am not trying to be unkind, I am telling you THE TRUTH. Jesus warned that you must be BORN AGAIN to enter into God's Kingdom. The absolute ONLY way for that to happen is that you must solely cast yourself upon Jesus Christ, trusting in His substitutionary death on the cross to pay your debt of sin. Only through faith in the finished redemptive work of Christ, believing that after being buried that He resurrected bodily three days later, can anyone be BORN ANEW! You turning away from your sinful behavior has absolutely NOTHING to do with getting saved. NOTHING!!!
Romans 5:6-9 teaches that “CHRIST DIED FOR THE UNGODLY,” not for those who are willing to first reform. Those who say that you must “turn from your sin” to be saved, are in fact preaching another gospel of self-righteousness, and not a free grace Gospel of faith alone. God's curse is upon Harvest Baptist Church on Guam, and their God damned pastors (Galatians 1:6-9; 3:1-3; 5:4; 6:7). I didn't say that, the Lord Himself said it!!! There is no greater sin that a human being can commit, than to pervert the Gospel, which is the unpardonable sin. Yes, ladies and gentlemen, Harvest Baptist Church on Guam and Bob Jones University have committed the UNPARDONABLE SIN.
Galatians 5:3-5, For I testify again to every man that is circumcised, that he is a debtor to do the whole law. Christ is become of no effect unto you, whosoever of you are justified by the law; ye are fallen from grace. For we through the Spirit wait for the hope of righteousness by faith.” This passage of Scripture condemns the Bob Jones University crowd today! The unpardonable sin is to reject the grace of God that bringeth salvation, which is exactly what these grace corrupting pastors are doing today, by adding turning away from your sin to faith alone. The Gospel of John very plainly presents God's simple plan of salvation, which is by faith alone in Jesus Christ. The heretical idea that someone must first be willing to reform, or else God's gift of eternal life is withheld from them, is of the Devil.
What the rotten Bob Jones' Lordship Salvation crowd are effectively saying, is that God will not save anybody who isn't first willing to do works. Turning away from sin is a work. I am so sick of hearing Charles Lawson, Daniel Phelps and other infidels say that turning from sin is not a work. It sure is, because you are required to DO SOMETHING to get something. Jesus was asked point blank what “WORKS” are required to be saved. This was Christ's plain answer in John 6:28-29, Then said they unto him, What shall we do, that we might work the works of God? Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent.” If you want to go to Heaven friend, then the only WORK that God allows is to BELIEVE ON JESUS!!! If turning away from sinful bad habits, or having a sincere willingness to do so, were necessary to be saved, then Jesus would have said so, but HE DIDN'T. John 14:2, “In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.” Jesus said what He meant, and He meant what He said. Throughout the precious Gospel of John we are simply told to “BELIEVE” to be saved (85 times in fact). Nothing else is required dear reader.
Oh Foolish Pastors, Who Hath Bewitched You That Ye Should Believe A Lie?
Why, oh why, are the Bob Jones University pastors so stubborn and pig-headed? Why does Marty Herron, and Daniel Phelps, Steve Pettit, Harvest Baptist Church on Guam, Sam Horn, BJU and thousands more perverts of the Gospel, preach another Gospel. Please listen to what Pastor Harry Ironside had to say.
In his popular 1988 book titled, “The Gospel According to Jesus,” Pastor John MacArthur heretically uses the word “exchange” concerning being saved:
Salvation is not an exchange! Receiving the free gift of eternal life is not a trade. John MacArthur is preaching another gospel of partial faith in Christ plus works! Salvation is not doing your best, it is having Christ's best put to your account through receiving Him by faith. God will not save anyone who is trying to be saved, He will only save those who are trusting to be saved. Salvation is received, not achieved! Religion is man trying to reach God through human effort, but Christianity is God trying to reach man by the sacrifice of His only begotten Son on the cross.“Thus in a sense we pay the ultimate price for salvation when our sinful self is nailed to a cross. . . . It is an exchange of all that we are for all that Christ is. And it denotes implicit obedience, full surrender to the lordship of Christ. Nothing less can qualify as saving faith.” [emphasis added] —Pastor John MacArthur; The Gospel According to Jesus, p. 140
In sharp contrast, please read what Dr. Ironside says in his helpful Gospel tract titled: ANOTHER GOSPEL? ...
In your face MacArthur! Harry Ironside just contradicted everything MacArthur teaches concerning salvation. In sharp contrast to Harry Ironside, here are some of MacArthur's foolish unbiblical teachings from his book, The Gospel According to Jesus (Zondervan 1988). In MacArthur's own perverted words, he states:“When anyone comes promising salvation to those ‘who make full surrender' of all that they have to God, and who 'pay the price of full salvation' he is preaching another gospel, for the price was paid on Calvary's cross and the work that saves is finished. It was Christ Jesus who made the full surrender when He yielded His life on Calvary that saves us, not our surrender in any way to Him.”SOURCE: Harry A. Ironside, from the Gospel tract, Another Gospel
Saving faith is “unconditional surrender, a complete resignation of self and absolute submission” (page 153).Is this true? Absolutely not. This is the same deadly junk theology that Steve Pettit preaches! Read again the preceding quotes I shared with you from Dr. Harry Ironside. These two men are diametrically opposed to each other theologically on the subject of Biblical repentance and salvation. John MacArthur is of the Devil and his Calvinistic doctrines are demonic!!! There is no way possible to reconcile the beliefs of Harry Ironside with those of John MacArthur, and only a wicked person would try. MacArthur clearly teaches that no one can be saved unless they are willing to UNCONDITIONALLY SURRENDER and FORSAKE EVERYTHING. If you didn't visit the link I provided earlier, please do so now, where John MacArthur adds 7 unbiblical requirements to the Gospel to be saved. This is not what the Word of God teaches.
“Salvation is for those who are willing to forsake everything” (page 78).
“Saving faith is a commitment to leave sin and follow Jesus Christ at all costs. Jesus takes no one unwilling to come on those terms” (page 87).
“Eternal life brings immediate death to self” (page 140).

Now let me quote to you again the great man of God, Dr. Ironside...
Salvation is a gift, paid for by Jesus' literal, physical, precious blood (1st Peter 1:18,19; 1st John 1:7; Hebrews 9:12; Revelation 1:5). We are saved by HIS RIGHTEOUSNESS (Matthew 6:33; Romans 10:3,4; 1st Corinthians 5:21); and not our own willingness to do better (Isaiah 64:6; Ephesians 2:8,9; Titus 3:5; Romans 4:5,6,22).“Nor is the Gospel a demand that you give up the world, that you give up your sins, that you break off bad habits, and try to cultivate good ones. You may do all these things, and yet never believe the Gospel and consequently never be saved at all.”SOURCE: Harry A. Ironside, from the sermon: What Is The Gospel?
Here is one of the best quotes that I've found on repentance, by Dr. Harry A. Ironside (1876-1951):
“Which comes first, repentance or faith? In Scripture we read, 'Repent ye, and believe the gospel.' Yet we find true believers exhorted to 'repent, and do the first works.' So intimately are the two related that you cannot have one without the other. The man who believes God repents; the repentant soul puts his trust in the Lord when the Gospel is revealed to him. Theologians may wrangle over this, but the fact is, no man repents until the Holy Spirit produces repentance in his soul through the truth. No man believes the Gospel and rests in it for his own salvation until he has judged himself as a needy sinner before God. And this is repentance.” (Except Ye Repent, p. 16) [emphasis added]
