I Am A “Born Again” Christian

John 3:3-7, “Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born? Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.

Jesus stated in no uncertain terms that, “Except a person is BORN AGAIN they cannot enter into the Kingdom of God.” Sadly, the word “Christian” is one of the most abused words in the world. I would guess that at least 95% of religious people who claim to be a “Christian” have never been born again. I was deeply troubled in my soul when I read what Evangelist Ray Comfort thinks it means to be BORN AGAIN. On page 1529 of Ray Comfort's popular work: 'The Evidence Bible,' under the commentary section titled: “How Can You Know That You Are Saved?,” Ray heretically states:

Christians believed in God's existence before their conversion, however, when they obeyed the Word of God, turned from their sins, and embraced Jesus Christ, they stopped merely believing. The moment they reached out and touched the heater bar of God's mercy, they moved out of belief into the realm of experience. This experience is so radical, Jesus referred to it as being born again. May I say kindly, being born again is NOT an “experience.” Ray Comfort and Kirk Cameron wrongly understand being “born-again” as an EXPERIENCE that involves forsaking one's sinful lifestyle and “EMBRACING” Jesus Christ. Ray Comfort gets this idea from an errant understanding of James 2:19, “Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble.” Many foolish Bible teachers misinterpret James 2:19 to mean that simple BELIEF on Christ is insufficient to be saved. This is not what the Bible is saying here at all. It simply means that no one is going to Heaven just because they believe there is a God. Even the Devils believe there is a God. That is exactly what James 2:19 says,
“Thou believest that there is one God...” But that is not how a person gets saved.

This is why Jesus told His disciples in Luke 13:23-24, “Then said one unto him, Lord, are there few that be saved? And he said unto them, Strive to enter in at the strait gate: for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able.” You can believe in God all you want—you can serve Jesus, go to church, tithe, sacrifice and do good all your life, try your best to turn away from sins
and still go straight to the Lake of Fire forever to burn!!! Jesus said, “Ye must be born again” (John 3:7).

Ray comfort is wrong that being born again refers to a radical change in someone's life. That is not what it means at all. Jesus told us what it means in John 3:6, “That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.” Being born again means to be reborn by the Holy Spirit of God. In theology we refer to this is being “regenerated.” It is tragic that so many corrupt preachers mistake reformation (a changed life, turning away from sinful bad habits) for regeneration, or foolishly think that reformation must precede or accompany regeneration. The only requirement to be regenerated (born again) is to recognize that you are a guilty sinner in the sight of a holy God (Romans 3:19-20), and believe the Gospel (Good News) of Christ crucified, buried and risen (1st Corinthians 15:1-4). Faith is the only righteous thing that I can do.

To reiterate this important truth, again, what did Jesus mean by “born again?” The question is answered in John 3:6, “That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.” When you were born the first time into the world, that was of the flesh; but the new birth (or second birth) is when the Holy Spirit of God comes inside your body to indwell you (upon your faith in the Gospel of Jesus Christ). Being “born again?” means that you have been born into God's family! Whereas all men are born spiritually DEAD from birth (Romans 5:15), in order to enter into the Kingdom of God a person must be born for the second time, spiritually (John 3:6-7). The first birth is PHYSICAL, earthly; The second birth is SPIRITUAL, by the Holy Spirit of God (John 1:12-14).

Biblically, mere childlike FAITH is all that God requires to be saved. This is what Jesus said in John 6:28-29, “Then said they unto him, What shall we do, that we might work the works of God? Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent.”

Dear reader, having shown you the truth, it should now be clear that VERY FEW people who profess to be Christians are truly saved. And sadly, as I have shown you, even many of those whom profess to be “born again” are not truly redeemed saints of God. Ray Comfort is not a born again Christian. If you doubt what I say, please read his insane lifestyle-living plan of salvation. Ray says to be saved, you must repent (which he errantly thinks means to turn away from your sins) and continue LIVING A LIFESTYLE OF REPENTANCE for the rest of your life. Does that sound like a free gift to you? No way! It is a manmade plan of damnation.

“The true Gospel always points you to Christ; a false gospel always points to you.” —Pastor Dennis Rokser

I am going to be even more direct now, likely stepping on some toes. Roman Catholics are NOT born again Christians. They add keeping the Seven Sacraments of the Roman Catholic Church (RCC) to faith. This is a false gospel. Mormons, Jehovah's Witnesses, Lutherans, Seventh-Day Adventists, Church of Christ, Mennonites—ALL damnable religious cults who are NOT born-again believers. When someone says that they are a “Christian,” that means nothing. They could be a hellbound Catholic, Mormon, JW, SDA or some other religious cult.

If someone tells me that they are a “born again Christian,” that is a good sign that they are saved, but I still don't believe them unless they explain what it means to be “born again.” Even the Devil appears as An Angel Of Light the Bible says in 2nd Corinthians 11:13-15. The Devil and his ministers of unrighteousness are skilled actors, who masquerade as ministers of righteousness. We see them in the Bob Jones University camp, who are die hard ungodly supporters of Pastor John MacArthur's damnable Lordship Salvation cult.

I am a genuinely BORN AGAIN Christian. I was saved at age 13 in Chicago, during an invitation at a good old fashioned Baptist church on a Sunday morning. The pastor said if someone was living in sin, without any conviction of the Holy Spirit, then they weren't saved. I knew I was a sinner, but I had never felt any Holy Spirit conviction (because I wasn't saved and didn't have the Holy Spirit living inside me). I felt God's conviction that day, and I called upon the Lord in faith and He gloriously saved me. I didn't pray out loud, I simply prayed in my soul and asked Jesus to save me. The truth is that I didn't even have to pray, I could have simply believed. The Bible says in Romans 10:14, “How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher? I called because I believed, and I was saved the second that I BELIEVED. Jesus is precious!!!

Please understand that I didn't write this blog to criticize other faiths, nor to upset or make anyone feel bad; but rather, to draw attention to the truth that many people who profess to be a Christian have never been born again, and Jesus made it very clear that NO ONE goes to Heaven without being born anew by the Spirit of God. John 1:12-13, “But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.” Dear friend, the Catholic priest cannot absolve your sins, only God can forgive sin. Salvation is of the Lord (Jonah 2:9). The Lutheran minister cannot forgive your sins, he cannot even forgive his own sins. Please don't fall for those Lutheran imposters. Only Jesus has the nail-scared hands, side and feet. JESUS SAVES!!!

Also, salvation is not of blood. That means you don't get a special pass just because you are Jewish in your DNA (neither nationality, culture or ethnicity). Nicodemus was Jewish, and yet Jesus warned him that unless he got born-again, Nicodemus could not go to Heaven. There's only one other place my friend, Hell. It matters not if you are Jew or Gentile, YE MUST BE BORN AGAIN!!! I love you with God's unconditional love, which is why I write these blogs. I make no money, never have, and never will. My reward is in Heaven. YOU dear friend are my greatest reward.

So please make sure that you are a genuine born-again Christian, and not just some member of a Christian organization. You know, Christianity began as a new birth in the New Testament, but when it came to Greece it became a philosophy. When it came to Rome it became an organization (the Catholic church). When Christianity spread throughout Europe it became a culture. And sadly, when it came to America, Christianity became a stinking business. I am proclaiming to you dear friend THE NEW BIRTH in Christ Jesus, which is by faith alone in Him. The new birth is a supernatural miracle of God in response to a man's faith in Jesus Christ as his personal Savior. Acts 16:30-31, “And brought them out, and said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved? And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.” The phrase “And thy house” is simply God's extended mercy to save all that believe. God freely offers salvation to all men, through faith alone in Christ alone by grace alone. Believe the GOOD NEWS dear reader and you also can KNOW you are born-again! Please don't delay. Life is short, Hell is hot and eternity is a long time.
