The Way To Lose Weight Is To Eat

Daniel 1:12-16, “Prove thy servants, I beseech thee, ten days; and let them give us pulse to eat, and water to drink. Then let our countenances be looked upon before thee, and the countenance of the children that eat of the portion of the king's meat: and as thou seest, deal with thy servants. So he consented to them in this matter, and proved them ten days. And at the end of ten days their countenances appeared fairer and fatter in flesh than all the children which did eat the portion of the king's meat. Thus Melzar took away the portion of their meat, and the wine that they should drink; and gave them pulse.

Nearly everything that you'll read on the internet about how to lose weight is WRONG! Truth is stranger than fiction. Most websites will tell you ways to endure going hungry to lose weight. They'll tell you to drink a lot of water. They'll tell you to brush your teeth multiple times a day, and to gargle with mouth wash, so that the fresh minty taste will discourage you from eating. They'll tell you to stay busy, get a hobby, go walking and to do something to distract you from eating. All the advice that they give you is how to basically starve yourself to lose weight.

Well, I have learned (thankfully so) that they are all WRONG! The way to successfully lose weight (finally) is to eat my friend. You read right, you must EAT! I have been losing weight quickly, about 1-2 pounds per week for the past couple months, using my new found method. I don't claim credit for discovering something new. In fact, Hollywood actors have been using this method for ages to prepare their bodies physically for upcoming roles in movies. The key is to eat something every 3-4 hours. Watch the video and you'll be amazed as I was. I couldn't believe that those actors all ate every 3 hours, and still lost weight. That blew my mind. Here I was trying to starve myself, but after several hours the hunger pains became so bad that I binged on all the food I could eat. That is why I couldn't lose weight all my life.

One of the best bits of advice I heard was from a fitness trainer in Hollywood. He advises his clients to eat some protein the size of your FIST every 3 hours (6 am, 9 am, noon, 3 pm and 6 pm). At 9 am and 3pm you also eat some healthy fat (nuts, avocado, dark chocolate, whole eggs, et cetera). I normally eat 1 Tbsp. (55 calories) of dark chocolate covered raisins a day. At noon and 6 pm you eat TWO FIST sized portions of veggies (good carbohydrates). That's it. I like to drink one protein shake before I go to bed at 9 pm. I normally go to sleep earlier, sleep 8 hours and get up at about 5 am. One hour of sleep before midnight is worth two hours of sleep after midnight. It is important to have a steady sleep cycle (deep undisturbed sleep).

In 2017 I managed to lose 70 pounds by basically starving myself.  My incompetent doctor was so impressed that he asked me to speak at a monthly doctor's meeting, and I did. I gave those poor people all the worst advice you could tell someone. I taught them how to starve themselves to lose weight, and how I managed to do it. Boy was I wrong! Consequently, I regained nearly all my weight by 2020. I went from 215 pounds down to 145 pounds, back up to 208 pounds, like a big yo yo. That is what happens when you starve yourself to lose weight, you regain all your weight because the way you lost weight simply was NOT SUSTAINABLE.

Well, I am losing weight now BY EATING every 3-4 hours. It is really weird, because my brain says to lose weight you have to stop eating. So even now I find myself in excitement wanting to starve myself to speed the process along. And guess what happens? I get hungry and start to binge on the wrong foods again. The key to losing weight properly is to EAT. You must eat or you'll get hungry and binge. If you feel satiety (comfortably full) at all times, you won't binge, and you'll be able to finally lose weight. You just have to eat healthy foods. I love sweet potatoes, which make me feel full, are high in nutrients and low in calories.

The most important thing, and if you don't do this YOU WILL FAIL, is to eat low calorie density foods. You ought to definitely buy some Whey Protein Isolate (at any health store). The protein powder comes in 1 gallon or 5 gallon sizes. I love the vanilla. One scoop contains 130 calories, no sugar, and provides 30 grams of protein. To lose weight you want to eat a high protein diet. I eat gram for pound of my goal weight. I now weigh 183 pounds. My goal is 160 pounds. So I eat 160 grams of protein per day. Since whey protein is a SUPPLEMENT, it cannot replace eating real food. So I try not to drink more than 2 or 3 protein shakes per day, to make sure I get enough protein in my nutrition.

I aim for 40 grams of fiber. Women need at least 25 grams. For fiber I eat beans almost every day, but there are other foods that provide plenty of fiber. When I woke up today, I drank a protein shake. I also ate a handful of cranberries and blueberries. I ate one kiwi. And I ate a couple pieces of shredded chicken breast (it comes in a package). At 9 am I ate 1/4 cup of dry beans that I cooked yesterday. I cook 1/2 cup (dry) at a time. Cooking takes about 1 hour and 40 minutes on low flame. I add some fresh diced garlic, chopped green onions, carrots and seasoning (1 tsp. cayenne pepper, 1 tsp. ground cumin, 1/2 tsp. black pepper, some Lawry's and whatever else I have on hand). I sometimes add a Tbsp. of tomato paste, or a small can of tomato sauce. Beans are very high in protein and fiber. In sharp contrast, beef has a lot of protein but no fiber. Only 5% of Americans eat enough fiber in their daily diet.

Eating more fiber and protein causes satiety (feeling full). By the way, I learned a great simple way to eat kiwi's, which are very tasty and nutritious. Simply cut the kiwi in half and then eat it with a metal spoon. Cool huh? For lunch today I am eating half a bag of mixed veggies (carrots, cauliflower and broccoli) with 2 fillets of sea bass (barramundi) fish. At 3 pm I'll likely eat some real avocado dip with salsa and a dozen whole grain crackers. I haven't figured out dinner yet, but I try to keep my meals each under 300 calories. I'll probably eat a big green salad, with cut up fresh mushrooms, fresh tomatoes and fresh red onions. I'll drink a protein shake before I go to bed. I limit my calories intake to 1400 to 1500 calories per day. As long as I do that, I KNOW I am guaranteed to lose weight (1 pound per week). It doesn't matter what the scale shows, because it will fluctuate by 8 pounds for me. Whenever you eat carboHYDRATEs, your body will store water. So that is normal. Don't watch the scale, watch what you are eating daily (count your calories).

I aim for 40 to 50 grams of fat daily. I aim for 50 to 150 grams of carbohydrates. If I need to cut calories anywhere, I'll cut my carbohydrate intake. I haven't used my frying pan in a month. I bake everything. Those oils used in frying are super calorie dense (120 calories per Tbsp.). Daniel suggested that the king's eunuchs' eat beans, seeds and whole grains to be healthy, and it worked. I haven't eaten any red meat in 6 weeks. I feel great. I eat fish and some chicken. I am not a vegetarian. I just want to eat better to live better and feel better. My weight is going down. It still blows my mind that EATING every 3 hours was the answer to whole time, but everything I read online told me to go hungry.

You'll NEVER lose weight as long as you're hungry. If you feel comfortably full (not gut busting full), you CAN lose weight. It becomes bearable. You will still need some good old fashioned character and discipline not to indulge. My body actually woke up in the middle of the night and ate some (200 calories worth) of dark chocolate covered raisins. I went walking yesterday and needed extra energy. I allow myself 200 calories a day of treats if I earn them. As long as I don't go over 1500 calories for the day. I love sweet potatoes.

I ate some sweet potatoes yesterday, and I'll have one with my lunch today. They are low in calories and high in nutrients. I bake about 7 or 8 at once and save them for the days to follow. I set the oven at 400 degrees. Rinse the potatoes and dry them with a paper towel. I poke fork holes about an inch apart across the potato top and bottom. I take extra virgin olive oil and pour it into my hand, and then rub the potatoes with it. This is to help it cook, and I sprinkle brown sugar, salt and pepper on top of them. I bake them for 45 minutes. Yummy! I use 1 tsp. of real butter on each potato when I eat them. You'll lose weight and feel full eating sweet potatoes. Each one is only 112 calories.

I also love to bake big Brussel sprouts. I bake the entire bag at once. I hand rub them all with extra virgin olive oil. I then sprinkle plenty of salt and pepper on them, and bake them at 400 degrees for 30 minutes. They are low in calories, nutritious and taste great. I don't go crazy with the olive oil, because it is high in calories, I just coat the potatoes and Brussel sprouts with it. I also pour just a tsp. or so of olive oil on top of each fish fillet when I bake it.

CONSISTENCY is the most important word. If you are 50 or more pounds obese, this process WILL DEFINITELY STILL WORK for you, but you've got to be realistic that it will take some time (6 to 12 months). You can reasonably expect to lose 1-2 pounds per week, depending how sustainable your diet plan is. And that is very important. If your diet is not enjoyable, it won't be sustainable and you'll quit. Pushing too hard to fast, drastically reducing your calories, will likely result in you giving up. Just 5 protein shakes a day equals 650 calories. But that gives me 150 grams of protein. Whey Protein Isolate provides 1 gram of protein per 4 calories. Eggs provides 1 gram of protein per 5 calories. Chicken provides 1 gram of protein per 7 calories, and beef 10 calories per gram. So protein powder is your best bet to lose weight. But you still need some real food each day, like fish, chicken, eggs, et cetera. I love poached eggs. I just drop a few eggs right into boiling water for 3 minutes. I like the yoke solid. I add some salt and vinegar to the water. Each egg is 75 calories and provides about 6 grams of protein, and 5 grams of fat.

How To Lose Weight Eating A High Protein Diet

I've been eating hydroponically grown (no dirt) greens. If you think healthy the next time you go grocery shopping, a whole new world will open to you that you never saw before, which was right in front of your eyes the entire time. One meal that I enjoy is to take 2 pieces of Dave's whole grain bread (70 calories each) and load them with sweet or Dijon mustard and about 1/4 pound of sliced chicken breast (160 calories). That provides loads of protein and some carbs from the bread. It is disgusting to see a man with a giant pot belly who looks pregnant, or a woman with thunder thighs who looks like a walking refrigerator.

Kindly said, Good night folks, take care of yourself! Christians ought to exert self control. Most people have fallen prey to our abusive American culture of indulgence (in financial debt, perverse in thoughts and behavior, abortions, obese, mindless to believe anything they hear from the controlled lying media, and out of control in every way). Fasting is virtually unheard of in pulpits anymore. I saw a 400 pound pastor come to Guam to preach, and he was repulsive. And then those glutton preachers joke about how good the fried chicken is back home. GET RIGHT WITH GOD YOU GLUTTON!

There's no excuse for nearly anyone to be a fat slob! The most common excuse is depression. Somewhere along the way our society lost sight of individualism, Christianity and glorifying God in all that we say, appear and do. I did not write this blog to hurt anybody's feelings, but to share with you what is working for me. All my life I did what everybody else does—eating at the same restaurants and devouring the same ridiculous portions they serve—which made me fat. Now I realize that American society is a big mouse trap, and everything is a mess, and you simply cannot allow society to lead your health, beliefs, family or anything. Becoming a born-again believer is a personal choice. Taking care of one's health and weight is a personal choice. Deciding to be a decent, moral and law abiding citizen is a personal choice. Deciding to love everyone with God's unconditional love is a personal choice.

By the way, you don't need to go walking or exercise to be successful at this, but it really helps to motivate you. On days when I exercise I tend to feel less hungry. So I take advantage of those times when I'm not hungry, but as soon as I start to feel hungry, I eat some healthy. In closing, the way to LOSE weight is not to go hungry, it is TO EAT, you just need to eat the right low calorie density foods. I hope this was helpful and inspiring. Thank you for reading this.
