Jeremiah 20:9, “Then I said, I will not make mention of him, nor speak any more in his name. But his word was in mine heart as a burning fire shut up in my bones, and I was weary with forbearing, and I could not stay.”
I know I said last week that I need a long break and won't be preaching as much, but I cannot stand it, I have to preach! THE TRUTH is burning in my soul and I cannot hold back. The prophet Jeremiah experienced the same thing. Jeremiah was discouraged, having to preach a message of doom and gloom to his beloved people of Israel. At first God promised the people of Israel that if they simply humbled themselves to King Nebuchadnezzar, that they would be allowed to remain in Jerusalem and live in their own homes. But if they refused to submit to Babylon, they would be destroyed and taken captive as slaves 400 miles to the east as slaves in Babylon. Sadly, the Jews refused to obey God and they were enslaved for 70 years to Babylon! The Word of God was proven true! Whoever you may be, I highly recommend that you don't side against the Word of God, because you assuredly will rue the day that you did!
Dear reader, I am the PRISONER of the Lord, not merely His SERVANT. Philemon 1:1, “Paul, a prisoner of Jesus Christ, and Timothy our brother, unto Philemon our dearly beloved, and fellowlabourer,” You see, a servant can quit anytime they want, but a prisoner cannot. Jeremiah tried to quit preaching, but the truth of God's Word burned as a fire in his heart and the ole boy couldn't bare it. I couldn't stop preaching if I tried! THE TRUTH is as a wildfire burning in my soul. I will be writing less, but I must preach THE TRUTH.
When little ole David, a humble Jewish shepherd boy in Israel, came out with his sling and five smooth stones to fight the 9' 6" Philistine giant Goliath, his older brothers mocked him and tried to send him back home. 1st Samuel 17:29, “And David said, What have I now done? Is there not a cause?” I love that! David was so right! IS THERE NOT A CAUSE DEAR READER? The Gospel of free grace is under brutal attack today in our Bible colleges and churches, being replaced with a perverse counterfeit gospel of partial faith in Christ plus works. Trying to live above sin is human effort, a form of self-righteousness. My Bible preaching is justified. There is a dire cause. Life is short, Hell is hot and eternity is a long time. There are no second chances once a person breathes their last breath and dies (Hebrews 9:27).
I receive thousands of emails each year in my website ministry. I love helping people. I love answering Bible questions. I noticed many trends among those who contact me, which helps me to know which issues need to be addressed more through my preaching. I've noticed that where many people go wrong on the Bible is when they randomly start lifting text out of contact, creating a new pretext. That is, they wrest (torture) the Bible. Oftentimes they got their false teachings from corrupt preachers, Calvinists. In case you don't know, Lordship Salvation is nothing more than Calvinism repackaged. Calvinism refers to the teachings of a man named John Calvin (1509-1964). Calvin was a mass-murdering monster, a crazed highfalutin religious leader in Switzerland who butchered the Bible, and literally murdered 58 people (including women and children) who disagreed with his perverse theology.
I love helping people. I love God. I love the truth. Since 2002 when I started my website ministry by God's grace, my only heart's desire has always been to help people get saved, find happiness serving Jesus Christ, find perfect peace about their assurance of salvation, and become as wise as serpents in this insane world. There is no reason to live a defeated life as a Christian. We have so much good in store for us down the road. For now it is time to do the Master's work of soulwinning. The only happy Christian life is living to win souls to Christ!
Lord willing, I plan to keep preaching until my last dying breath. It has been so exciting seeing people get saved. A few months ago I found this excellent Gospel sermon online by Pastor Dennis Rokser. I was so humbled and encouraged as I listened to the entire sermon, recognizing that many of the images he used, and truths he preached, came from my website ministry. I admit that most of the things I share on my websites I gleaned from other preachers too. I love Bible preachers! I love all my Christian brethren and sisters. I love New Testament churches. I love every living creature with God's unconditional love. We all learn from each other. I am happy when people copy from me, learn from me, and I had a part in shaping their beliefs and bettering their life for Christ. I always give Jesus ALL the credit, praise and glory.
Dear friend, you can be happy in Christ. There are excellent Bible-believing churches all across the United States. I mentioned seeing trends among emails. Nearly everyone who shares their broken lives with me don't go to church. They have no spiritual guidance in their life. Some people are critics, and no matter what church they attend they have a big magnifying glass and before long become disgruntled and leave. If a church is correct on the Gospel and uses only the inspired King James Bible, you'd be wise to put down your roots and call that place home. I am 54 years old. The happiest years of my life have been while attending a growing independent Baptist church. I love Christians!!!
It is open season on preachers nowadays. I am always on the side of pastors and preachers! I won't defend a man who is wrong, but I am tired of critics who try to destroy a pastor for what faults he does have, while completely ignoring all the thousands of people God is helping through his labors for Christ. No human being ought to be defined by their mistakes, sins and faults. Thankfully, God looks at the whole life (Proverbs 15:3), not just someone's failures like people do. The Devil is an accuser (Revelation 12:10). The internet is a deep dark place. There is much hatred, slander, lies and Satanic content in cyberspace. That is the Devil. The Devil's children act like their father, the Devil (John 8:44).
Pastor Jack Hyles wisely said: “Preaching is truth set on fire!” I love that. Visit 99% of churches today and you won't find any fire. Quite frankly, most churches are extremely boring. I am saddened when I see YouTube videos of church services, and some female wearing a short dress (a few inches above her knees) gets up on stage to sing. That is inappropriate. Ladies ought to wear dresses a few inches above the floor, not above their knees. Anyway, I digress. I need to preach THE TRUTH. My heart burns and yearns to expose falsehoods and uphold truth, because that helps people. To God be the glory, great things He is doing.
