Persecuted By Harvest Baptist Church For My Faith

Luke 6:22-24, “Blessed are ye, when men shall hate you, and when they shall separate you from their company, and shall reproach you, and cast out your name as evil, for the Son of man's sake. Rejoice ye in that day, and leap for joy: for, behold, your reward is great in heaven: for in the like manner did their fathers unto the prophets. But woe unto you that are rich! for ye have received your consolation.”

When I read this passage of Scripture, I am reminded of the apostate Harvest Baptist Church on Guam, who have banned me from returning to their church services. In 2014, I attended their church for one year. I made friends. I fell in love with their nurse. I was happy. But I made the grave mistake of caring enough about them to tell them THE TRUTH. With my own money, I bought fundamental books by faithful Baptist preachers to help them. I burned sermon CD's and prayed for God to open their eyes. I personally handed THE TRUTH to Harvest's ungodly pastors. Instead of thanking me for being a truth-teller, I was reprimanded and driven out of the church, banned from returning. Sadly, Harvest's pastors are fools, who despise truth. Proverbs 23:9, “Speak not in the ears of a fool: for he will despise the wisdom of thy words.”

In 2017 I was desperately lonely for a church family. I missed the nurse I fell in love with at Harvest (who liked me too in 2014). I literally begged three times for the church pastors to give me a second chance, but they were hard-hearted and wicked. They separated me from their company, and cast out my good name as evil, rejecting, shunning and ostracizing me, because I told THE TRUTH for Jesus Christ! I was casting my pearl before the swine, and they trampled upon my caring heart, ostracizing me for being a truth-teller. Dr. Marty Herron was their pastor from 1999 to 2018, and now they have Pastor Gary Walton. I wouldn't give you a penny for either of these apostates! Anybody who bids Godspeed to Steve Pettit and John MacArthur has a serious spiritual problem!!! 2nd John 1:11, “For he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds.”

The new pastor of Harvest Baptist Church on Guam (HBC) is no better than the old pastor, who still won't allow me to attended church services. Where dwelleth the love of God? (Romans 14:10). They just don't care about people or truth at Harvest. I love something that Dr. John K. Jenkins Sr. said, pastor of the First Baptist Church of Glenarden, Maryland. I love that man! He beautifully said: “Human Beings Just Want To Be Loved... Just Love The Hell Out Of Them!” If they had simply loved me as a human being at HBC, accepting my request to come back to church, I would have humbly accepted and befriended them. They still won't have anything to do with me in 2020, and I am still being ostracized for my faith. 

Instead, they arrogantly reject me, in their haughty pride, promoting and bidding Godspeed to false teachers like Dr. Steve Pettit and Pastor John MacArthur, who preach the heresy of Lordship Salvation. I told THE TRUTH! What saith the Scripture? Romans 3:4, “God forbid: yea, let God be true, but every man a liar; as it is written, That thou mightest be justified in thy sayings, and mightest overcome when thou art judged.” I have God's promise that He will greatly reward me for my loss, for my suffering, for my heartache, which Harvest Baptist Church on Guam has inflicted upon me for Jesus' sake. 

I befriended them with THE TRUTH of the Gospel of free grace, but they got upset with me for exposing Dr. John MacArthur as a wolf in sheep's clothing. They got upset with me at Harvest, because I told THE TRUTH that the modern Alexandrian based Bible revisions are Devil's Bibles! Isaiah 13:11, “And I will punish the world for their evil, and the wicked for their iniquity; and I will cause the arrogancy of the proud to cease, and will lay low the haughtiness of the terrible.” It is sad to see that same arrogance in the Bob Jones' camp! False doctrine is false doctrine, and you cannot sugarcoat it to justify it!

There are many forms of persecution. Our text verses say in Luke 6:22-24, “Blessed are ye, when men shall hate you, and when they shall separate you from their company, and shall reproach you, and cast out your name as evil, for the Son of man's sake. Rejoice ye in that day, and leap for joy: for, behold, your reward is great in heaven: for in the like manner did their fathers unto the prophets. But woe unto you that are rich! for ye have received your consolation.” What an amazing passage of Scripture indicting the Bob Jones University camp! Their ecumenical leaders all get paid lucrative 6-digit salaries. The Bible says they already have their reward!

Dr. Sam Horn was the vice president of BJU for many years, but has now become president of The Master's University, where Dr. John MacArthur was the president from 1985 to 2019. These men are all accomplices in preaching another gospel of Lordship Salvation. Dr. Steve Pettit is the president of BJU, since 2014. Harvest's former pastor on Guam, Dr. Marty Herron is now the vice president of Faith Baptist Bible College and Theological Seminary in Iowa. I love all these men with God's unconditional love, God knows my heart, but they are wrong on the Gospel. They are living an extravagant life of Riley, at the demise of the truth!

Did you know dear reader that Mormons teach the exact same view of repentance as do the proponents of Lordship Salvation? So also do Seventh-Day Adventists! I am one of the most hated preachers in the world, because I mash on the toes of false prophets! I refuse to let a Baptist church slide, like the Harvest Baptist Church on Guam, just because they are “Baptists.” Right doctrine matters! A false gospel cannot produce the new birth in Christ. False Bibles teach a false gospel, which perverts grace and damns men's souls to Hell. I don't get paid for what I do. I'd rather watch a good movie than sit here refuting Bob Jones University. But someone needs to take a stand for right doctrine! 1st Samuel 17:29, “And David said, What have I now done? Is there not a cause?” So say I to Harvest Baptist Church on Guam and Bob Jones University, who would criticize my preaching: “What have I now done? Is there not a cause?” The Philistine giant of Lordship Salvation has defied the God of Israel, I will go out and fight that giant, to slay him with the power of God!

Isaiah 41:21-22, “Produce your cause, saith the LORD; bring forth your strong reasons, saith the King of Jacob. Let them bring them forth, and shew us what shall happen: let them shew the former things, what they be, that we may consider them, and know the latter end of them; or declare us things for to come.”

I am confident by God's grace, that I and the nurse at Harvest in 2014 could have been married. She liked me, and I liked her a lot, but her pastors defended their false doctrines, and I took a stand for THE TRUTH, so they sinfully kicked me out! The school nurse (a BJU graduate) rejected me because of the ungodly influence of her bosses at the church. What do they care, they have the life of Riley? You see, she wants a good man, but not a godly man for a husband. If she ever gets married, she'll marry some henpecked wimp that follows the crowd, not a faithful man of God who loves THE TRUTH and is willing to lose everything for his convictions. Dr. Marty Herron is not a faithful servant of God, he is a religious businessman! I love Pastor Herron, but he did me and my family wrong, and he ran that church into the ground spiritually, leaving them at Harvest in shambles with Dr. John MacArthur as their mentor! I did the right thing to SPEAK THE TRUTH, but Harvest's pastors did the wrong thing! God will Judge between me and thee! Proverbs 12:17, “He that speaketh truth sheweth forth righteousness: but a false witness deceit.”

Sadly, the people in the church follow their pantywaist leaders. Pastor E.M. Bounds, in his book “Power Through Prayer,” rightly said that the spirituality of the congregation rarely rises above the spirituality of the pastor. That is why America is going to Hell, our church pulpits are weak! On another topic, I am listening to the book of Isaiah right now, and I just heard this awesome verse from Isaiah 26:3, “Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.” Here we see how to trust God, by keeping our mind fixated on the Lord. That is how I make it day to day, I just keep my eyes on the dear Lord. It is not easy for me to live alone, for 14 years since 2006 when my wife abandoned me, but God sustains me by faith. I do hope and pray to find a wife someday.

You'd think if there was one place in the world where you could feel free to tell THE TRUTH, it would be in a local New Testament church, right? Tragically, it is not so! I told the truth and it got me kicked out and banned from Harvest Baptist Church on Guam. Then their pastor (Dr. Marty Herron) quit and moved on to Iowa, after he ruined their church. You'd think that the one place in the world where your faith would be strengthened in the inspiration of the Bible would be in a Bible college, right? Tragically, it is not so! Hyles-Anderson College has denied the inspiration of the King James Bible since 2008. Bob Jones University, Crown College, Pensacola Christian College, and countless more, all deny the inspiration of the King James Bible. They are afraid to be persecuted for Christ. They don't want to be outside the gate with Jesus! So they go along with everybody else.

False Prophets Abound In The Churches Today

If Pastor Jack Hyles (1926-2001) is right about the Gospel, then I am right. If Pastor Bob Gray Sr. is right about the Gospel, then I am right. If the Apostle Paul is right about the Gospel, then I am right. If Pastor Harry Ironside (1876-1951) is right about the Gospel, then I am right! Read what Dr. Ironside so beautifully said concerning salvation, that it is free and without cost:

“When anyone comes promising salvation to those ‘who make full surrender' of all that they have to God, and who 'pay the price of full salvation' he is preaching another gospel, for the price was paid on Calvary's cross and the work that saves is finished. It was Christ Jesus who made the full surrender when He yielded His life on Calvary that saves us, not our surrender in any way to Him.” [emphasis added] —Pastor Harry A. Ironside, from the Gospel tract, “Another Gospel”

In sharp contrast, read what Dr. John MacArthur teaches you must pay to be saved:

“Don’t believe anyone who says it’s easy to become a Christian. Salvation for sinners cost God His own Son; it cost God’s Son His life, and it’ll cost you the same thing.” —Pastor John MacArthur, 'Grace To You,' an updated quote from his book 'Hard To Believe', p. 93.

Read what Dr. Steve Pettit heretically teaches in agreement with John MacArthur, teaching that you must pay the price by forsaking your own way of living:

“So I want to ask you, have you come to a genuine acknowledgment before God almighty of your sinfulness? Secondly, you have to change the way you view yourself. We call that 'repentance.' And repentance is sort of saying a 'No' and a 'Yes.'  It's a turning AWAY FROM and a turning TO. What am I turning away from? I'm turning away from my own self-righteousness. I'm to turning away from depending on me, and all that's involved in me—self-righteousness, self-will, self-assertion, living my own life—I'm to turning away from that way of thinking. And then finally what do I have to do? I'm to put my trust, or my confidence, in Jesus alone.” [emphasis added] —Dr. Steve Pettit, an excerpt from “What Does It Mean To Be Justified?” (The Daily Platform #741)

Dear reader, the Gospel does not require that you turn away from LIVING YOUR OWN LIFE to be saved. God is freely offering you eternal life as a gift, and He does not demand that you give Him something in return (which would be an exchange and not a gift). Evangelist Steve Pettit further heretically teaches:

“I am taking my life, my eternity, my destiny, everything, and I am placing it into Christ.” [emphasis added] —Dr. Steve Pettit, an excerpt from “What Does It Mean To Be Justified?” (The Daily Platform #741)

Lordship Salvation is manmade religious junk, not sound Bible doctrine. The only thing that the Bible requires is to place your TRUST into Christ. Ephesians 1:13-14, “In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise, Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory.” You cannot show me even one Scripture that teaches to forsake your own way of living to be saved! You cannot show me even one Scripture that teaches there is a price to pay to be saved! JESUS PAID IT ALL!!!

One of Satan's greatest weapons is to get people to become indifferent, lackadaisical and acceptant of embellishments to the Gospel. The Greatest Threat To The Gospel Is Ambiguity. There are those who would say that Bob Jones University are preaching the Gospel, who would lead you to believe that BJU's doctrine is still within the realm of orthodox Christian doctrine, but nothing could be further from THE TRUTH! It is true that theologians have been wrangling over the true meaning of repentance, faith and the Gospel for centuries, but that doesn't justify all teachings. Evil has always been the enemy of good, and in every generation the battle continues, between light and darkness!

I tell you dear friend that Lordship Salvation (i.e, Calvinism) is not the Gospel of free grace. The Bible does not require that you live a lifestyle, nor that you turn away from your own way of living to be saved. Such ideas are heretical and foreign to the saving Gospel. Christ died on the cross to pay your debt of sin, and mine. Jesus paid a debt He did not owe, because we owed a debt of sin we could not pay and He loves us (Romans 5:6-9). I pray daily for my friends at Harvest Baptist Church on Guam. I am their friend. A friend tells you the truth! They are the Bob Jones' camp. I love them unconditionally. Their nurse lost out on a great guy, but that was her choice. I miss her. The Bob Jones crowd love second best, mediocrity, counterfeit Bibles, a false gospel, and doctrinally corrupt leaders. The love of money has corrupted Bob Jones University, compelling them to dip their sails, trim their standards, and embrace the Devil's Bibles and Satan's lie of Lordship Salvation. I shall not be moved!
