Man's True Problem Is Disobedience

Jeremiah 7:28, “But thou shalt say unto them, This is a nation that obeyeth not the voice of the LORD their God, nor receiveth correction: truth is perished, and is cut off from their mouth.”

Bob Jones Sr. (1883-1968) rightly said: 

“The whole rotten modern world is wrecked because of disobedience. The sinful, hellish philosophy that has destroyed America is built upon the philosophy of disobedience. Prisons are filled with juvenile delinquents. Children have been killing their school teachers in some sections of America—cutting their throats, shooting them. Man's problem has always been DISOBEDIENCE—disobedience to authority. In America, there has been a secret program of social engineering for the past 75 years, indoctrinating families to think wrong.

In the preceding video sermon, Dr. Younce wisely points out that most people who go to a psychiatrist, really have a rebellion problem. And you'll never hear a psychiatrist tell you that your problem is the sin of rebellion, or you need to get your heart right with God! Only the Word of God itself, or a man of God who preaches the Word of God, will tell you that TRUTH!!! The solution to rebellion is obedience to God! Acts 5:32, “And we are his witnesses of these things; and so is also the Holy Ghost, whom God hath given to them that obey him.” You get saved by obeying the Gospel! You obey the Gospel simply by believing it, submitting yourself as a needy sinner to God's righteousness, which is through faith alone in Jesus Christ. Philippians 3:9, “And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith:”

Humanity by nature are prone to disobedience and wrath. What saith the Scripture? 

Ephesians 2:1-5, “And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins; Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience: Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others. But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us, Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;)”

Thank God for the blood of Jesus that washes all our sins away (1st John 1:7). That word “quickened” means “made alive.” We have new spiritual LIFE in Christ Jesus!!! Paul reiterates the fact that believers are SAVED BY GRACE! We are made a child of God by yielding to the truth of the Gospel. Salvation is of the LORD! Romans 10:3-4, “For they being ignorant of God's righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God. For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth.” God alone can SAVE you in response to your yielding, and God alone can SANCTIFY you in response to your yielding. We live the Christian life the SAME way we get saved—BY YIELDING TO GOD, WHICH IS FAITH!
