The Invasion Of The Lordship Salvation Heresy

Acts 15:1 , “And certain men which came down from Judaea taught the brethren,
and said, Except ye be circumcised after the manner of Moses, ye cannot be saved.”

Like an infectious disease, the heresy of Lordship Salvation is everywhere today. “Lordship Salvation” is the false teaching that acknowledging one's guilt of sin in the eyes of a holy God, and believing the Gospel are insufficient to save a person. In addition, proponents of Lordship Salvation teach that in order to be saved, a person must surrender their life in obedience to Christ's lordship, forsake the world, cease from sinful bad habits, confess Christ openly before men, and make a commitment to follow Jesus (or a variation thereof). Lordship Salvation is 100% based in human effort, which is a works-based false plan of salvation.

The tragic thing is that many pastors (including Independent Baptists) don't care enough about the truth to fight against the heresy of Lordship Salvation. Case in point is Moody Church in Chicago, along with Moody Bible Institute and all their apostate ministries. Moody fully supports heretic Dr. John MacArthur of Grace To You, who denies that Jesus' blood is on the Mercy Seat in Heaven, says children cannot be saved, and teaches Lordship Salvation. Mr. MacArthur is an unsaved modernist, a devout Calvinist who teaches that saints must persevere in holy living to be saved. Moody Publishers print all of John MacArthur books, who is an honored guest at their annual Founder's Week. It is wickedness!!!

No man ought to be honored who says that eternal life is a gift, but you must count the cost and give everything to receive it. Evangelist Billy Graham also teaches this. No man ought to be honored who says that Jesus' blood is precious, but it soaked into the ground at Calvary and is not in Heaven on the Mercy Seat in the Holy Place. No man ought to be honored who teaches that salvation is an adult decision and children cannot be saved. Kindly, Pastor John MacArthur teaches all of these heresies and more. It does matter what we believe, and it's high time for professed Christians to start examining what doctrines we tolerate in our churches. If I had my way, I'd fire 95% of the pastors in America!!! In addition, Dr. MacArthur supports the plethora of satanic modern counterfeit Bible versions. Thank God for the King James Bible, the only Bible which we can truly call “holy.”

I was listening to a local religious radio station today and heard Pacific Garden Mission's (PGM) popular “Unshackled” series. The narrator foolishly said that it wasn't enough to believe on Jesus Christ and write your name in the back of your Bible, and that's it. He errantly said that you must continue in obedient faith throughout the rest of your life. This is not the new birth by faith in Christ; but rather, manmade religion, and it's deadly. I heard something very similar a few weeks ago on Unshackled. Sadly, and tragically, Pacific Garden Mission (PGM) has been duped into following the Devil's plan of salvation, which substitutes reformation for regeneration. According to PGM's false Gospel, you cannot simply be regenerated (born-again) and expect to go to Heaven, unless there is also lifelong reformation included. This is “ANOTHER GOSPEL” (2nd Corinthians 11:3-4).

Biblically, you acknowledge your sinnership and believe the Gospel to be regenerated (born-again); and then, if a new believer is properly mentored (as taught in The Great Commission), they will hopefully decide (as a believer) to follow Jesus as His disciple. Eternal life is a free gift, with no strings nor obligations attached. A man may freely receive the gift of eternal life without having any intentions to live a holy life, forsake the world, cease from sinful ways or confess Christ publicly. These are all WORKS! Salvation does not require works, none. It is a gift. Salvation is receiving, not achieving. Salvation is not doing your best, it is having Christ's best put to your account through receiving Him by faith. God will not save anyone who is trying to be saved, He will only save those who are trusting to be saved.

Apart from some superficial distinctives, the lines of doctrine between evangelical churches and the religious cults are being blurred. Case in point, Seventh-day Adventist prophetess, Ellen G. White, teaches the same philosophy on repentance as those who teach the heresy of Lordship Salvation. I've done some of your homework for you. Examine here the unbiblical garbage that Dr. John MacArthur teaches, which is virtually identical with what unsaved Seventh-day Adventists teach. Also, here's a comparison between Mormons and MacArthur, which are almost identical. Evangelist Ray Comfort and Jehovah's Witnesses agree on repentance and works. UNBELIEVABLE!!! Tens-of-thousands of deceived pastors and Christian leaders are following John MacArthur like the Pied Piper to their own spiritual destruction. Wake Up! Wake up Christians! Take a stand! If your pastor promotes and admires John MacArthur, get out of that hellhole falsely called a “church” while you still can, before you become a spiritual victim of MacArthur's deceptions.

Please understand that I have nothing personal against Mr. MacArthur. In fact, I have learned many great theological things from Dr. MacArthur. His work on exposing the Charismatic Movement is exceptional. MacArthur's work exposing the evils of alcohol are exceptional. His work exposing Speaking-In-Tongues is excellent. Granted, Pastor MacArthur does make some brilliant theological statements. The problem is that if a man is wrong on repentance, salvation and the blood of Jesus, then he's wrong on everything. It's like the buttons on a dress-shirt, if you get the first button wrong then all the buttons will be wrong.
