Margaret Ruth Kidder (1948-2018) was a Canadian-American actress and activist. She amassed several film and television credits in her career spanning five decades, including her widely known role as Lois Lane in the original Superman films (1978–1987). Her accolades included two Canadian Film Awards, an Emmy Award, a Genie Award, and a Saturn Award.
Sadly, Miss Kidder was an avowed atheist her entire life. Dear reader, it literally requires more faith to be an atheist than a Christian...
Margot Kidder struggled her entire life with depression. I read that at 14 she attempted suicide with drugs. She admitted to experiencing manic episodes and dealing with mental health issues. My heart goes out to her. At age 69 she commit suicide with alcohol and drugs in Montana where she lived. I cannot help but wonder if she had believed in God and trusted Jesus as her Savior, if her life would have been better. I sure think so.
