Proverbs 11:26, “He that withholdeth corn, the people shall curse him: but blessing shall be upon the head of him that selleth it.”
Proverbs 29:2, “When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice: but when the wicked beareth rule, the people mourn.”
I humbly think President Trump did a good thing to remove Nicolas Maduro from power. The people there have been hurting so bad. In 2025, Venezuela faced severe humanitarian crises, with over 82% of the population living in poverty and many lacking access to basic necessities like food and healthcare. The government's repression of dissent and political opposition further exacerbated the suffering of its citizens.
In Venezuela, several bakers were arrested for making brownies and other pastries instead of bread, as the government mandated that 90% of wheat must be used for loaves due to food shortages. This crackdown is part of a broader effort to control prices and combat economic instability in the country.
President Trump said that Venezuela stole America's oil infrastructure that we built for them in the early 1900s. Mr. Trump is referring to Venezuela's nationalization of its oil industry in the 1970s, which involved taking control of foreign-owned assets, including those of American companies. This action is often described as "stealing" by critics, but it was part of a broader trend of resource nationalism in many countries.
So, it's not like the U.S. is stealing Venezuela's oil, in lieu of the fact that the U.S. made significant investments in their oil industry, without which they'd never have been able to retrieve the oil from the earth.
The U.S. has had a long history of involvement in Venezuela's oil industry, beginning in the 1920s when American companies helped develop the country's oil resources. However, after nationalization in the 1970s and various political changes, U.S. companies have faced significant challenges in re-entering the market.
President Trump has promised to use much of the money from oil production to help the suffering people of Venezuela, rebuild their dilapidated infrastructure, and fix their broken economy.
Maduro is a thug killer, a monster, and a good U.S. President removed a lunatic criminal from power. Praise God! The vast majority of citizens in Venezuela are rejoicing.
