The Damnable False Gospel Of Dr. Albert Mohler Jr.

Acts 15:1 and 24, “And certain men which came down from Judaea taught the brethren, and said, Except ye be circumcised after the manner of Moses, ye cannot be saved. ...Forasmuch as we have heard, that certain which went out from us have troubled you with words, subverting your souls, saying, Ye must be circumcised, and keep the law: to whom we gave no such commandment.”

Richard Albert Mohler Jr. (born 1959) has been the theologically incompetent President of the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Hillcrest, Kentucky since 1993. The man is a brilliant writer and loves to read many books. In that respect, he is a man after my own heart. I humbly think Dr. Mohler is a good man and sincere in his beliefs. That being said, he is unfortunately WRONG on God's simple plan of salvation. ...

“We don't affirm easy-believism.” —Dr. Albert Mohler Jr.

What a darn fool! Dr. Mohler is openly a 5-point Calvinist, an infidel, as is his mentor Dr. John MacArthur (1939-2025). These men are theologically dangerous, despite both being likable personalities and good men (as far as sinful humans go). Although I admire certain aspects of both men, I also loathe their corrupt view of God's simple plan of salvation.

On his website, Dr. Mohler praises Pastor MacArthur's book, 'The Gospel According To Jesus' as one of the top 10 most important books written over the past 25 years. Dr. Mohler chose to quote this excerpt from Dr. MacArthur's toxic demon-spawned book...
The gospel in vogue today holds forth a false hope to sinners. It promises them that they can have eternal life yet continue to live in rebellion against God. Indeed, it encourages people to claim Jesus as Savior yet defer until later the commitment to obey Him as Lord. It promises salvation from hell but not necessarily freedom from iniquity. It offers false security to people who revel in the sins of the flesh and spurn the way of holiness. By separating faith from faithfulness, it teaches that intellectual assent is as valid as a wholehearted obedience to the truth.
Dear reader, what you have just read is the damnable heresy of 'LORDSHIP SALVATION.'

Lordship Salvation Is Of The Devil, Not God

It is the poisonous heresy of confusing and mixing service with salvation, combining discipleship with sonship; thus perverting the free grace of God. The true Gospel always points you to CHRIST; a false gospel always points to YOU. Salvation is not doing your best, it is having Christ's best put to your account through receiving Him by faith.

Pilgrim's Progress author John Bunyan gets it right...
“If you do not put a difference between justification wrought by the man Christ without and sanctification wrought by the Spirit of Christ within, you are not able to divide the Word aright; but contrariwise, you corrupt the Word of God, and cast stumbling blocks before the people.” —John Bunyan (1628-1688)
In other words, we MUST be diligent to make sure to always keep a believer's SERVICE for Christ (Romans 12:1), completely separate from one's SALVATION through faith in Christ (Galatians 3:26).

Pastor M.R. DeHaan (1891-1965) offers these helpful words on the topic...
"There is a vast difference between coming to Jesus for salvation and coming after Jesus for service. Coming to Christ makes one a believer, while coming after Christ makes one a disciple. All believers are not disciples. To become a believer one accepts the invitation of the Gospel, to be a disciple one obeys the challenge to a life of dedicated service and separation. Salvation comes through the sacrifice of Christ; discipleship comes only by sacrifice of self and surrender to His call for devoted service. Salvation is free, but discipleship involves paying the price of a separated walk. Salvation can't be lost because it depends upon God's faithfulness, but discipleship can be lost because it depends upon our faithfulness." —Pastor M.R. DeHaan, 'Hebrews'; Zondervan Publishing House, 1959 (p. 117)
Well said. I thank God for free grace preachers! Dr. Mohler (as a heretical Calvinist) is guilty of perverting the Gospel of free grace, preaching a false partial faith in Christ message PLUS turning from your sins and faithfully following Jesus as one's supreme Lord. The latter is service, not salvation. Dr. Mohler is wrong to reject “Easy-Believism, because it is 100% biblical.

The reason why Dr. Moher doesn't affirm (i.e., he does not support nor agree with) the truth of Easy-Believism is because he foolishly thinks MORE is required than childlike faith in the Gospel to get to Heaven. According to John MacArthur and Albert Mohler, you must also repent of your sins to turn away from a lifestyle of sinning; and furthermore, to become faithful to follow Christ in service, holiness and commitment to be saved. This is the Devil's fraud of Lordship Salvation, which is openly exposed and condemned in Matthew 7:20-23.

You want to “make Jesus Lord?” Matthew 7:22-23, “Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.” So much for being saved by “making Jesus Lord.” Why? Because they trusted in themselves and their “many wonderful works” to earn their way to Heaven.
They didn't trust Christ alone for salvation! They committed their lives to follow Jesus as their “Lord,“ but it wasn't the way of salvation! They were trusting in their own faithfulness, that is, their own WORKS to save them. Ephesians 2:8-9, “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.”

In the Old Testament, we see that turning from one's evil ways is called “works.” Jonah 3:10, “And God saw their works, that they turned from their evil way; and God repented of the evil, that he had said that he would do unto them; and he did it not.

Also, carefully notice in this same Scripture passage from Jonah 3:10 that God Himself repented (i.e., the Lord changed His mind) not to destroy the Ninevites for their sins. If repentance means to turn from one's sins, then God would have to be a sinner, and we know that God cannot be tempted to do evil (James 1:13-14).

The Inspired King James Bible Teaches Easy-Believism

My ministry friend Pastor Ralph Yankee Arnold gets it correct (this will harelip every dog in the county)...
“'You can't tell me you can trust Christ as Savior, and then go out here and live like the Devil, and still go to Heaven!' Yes, I can tell you that! That's what the Bible says. If you don't come to the conclusion, that—Yes, you can trust Christ as your Savior and live like the Devil, and still go to Heaven when you die—you don't get grace, because that is the exact truth! That is the truth! I do not have to change my life! I don't have to stop one sin! You say, 'I've never heard a preacher say that.' You just heard one! And you listen to me—I want to live as holy and as godly as I possibly can. I am now 70 years old. I've been saved for 52 years. ... the only reason I'm going to Heaven is because, 52 years ago in a little living room, I accepted Christ as my Savior.” —Pastor Ralph Yankee Arnold, “Calvinism And Grace Are NOT Compatible”

Amen and amen!

(by Pastor Jack Hyles, 1926-2001)

Kindly said, Albert Mohler Jr. is an infidel of the Christian faith—a hellbound false prophet!!! There is no way that any man is saved who insists that a working type of faith is required to be saved, which is conditioned upon turning away from your sinful bad habits, following Jesus as your Lord, and serving Christ faithfully in holiness. These things are good in their appropriate place, but they constitute WORKS and are damnable heresy when you add them to the Gospel. The Word of God plainly teaches that we are saved by faith plus nothing! Galatians 3:26, “For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus.”

Dear reader, Dr. Mohler preaches regularly to thousands of impressionable students at the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary (located in Louisville, Kentucky). In 2017, the corrupt Calvinist university saw a record enrollment of 5,000 students! These leaders are devils in the pulpit, corrupting the minds of young people with a counterfeit plan of salvation. There can only be ONE GOSPEL according to Galatians 1:6-9. The inspired Holy Bible is clear on this truth!

So we've got a big problem here. Dr. Mohler and Pastor MacArthur are preaching a Lordship type Gospel which says that faith is not enough to be saved. They deceive their victims by saying that we are saved by faith alone, but then they subtly redefine the term “faith to include faithful living, turning from your sins, following Jesus as your Lord, and doing good works. The cult of Seventh-Day Adventism does the same exact same evil thing to God's Word.

Albert Mohler Jr., warns graduates not to fall for a false gospel, while he himself is preaching a counterfeit gospel. 2nd Timothy 3:13, “But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived.” The very notion that a sinner must clean up his life, turn over a new leaf and commit to live a changed life for Christ as part of God's plan of salvation is preposterous. The truth, dear friend, is that we all sin continually. Every time we fail to pray for others we are sinning (1st Samuel 12:23).

In this neo-evangelical video on 'Ligonier's Ministries' YouTube channel (Calvinist R.C. Sproul's ministry), Dr. Albert Mohler Jr. is exalted to a lofty pulpit to spew his Calvinist garbage. It took him 40 MINUTES to explain his perversion of the Gospel, telling the students that THEIR righteousness is proof of GOD'S righteousness. This is the deception of Lordship Salvation, not the simple death, burial and resurrection of Jesus (which is the true Gospel according to 1st Corinthians 15:1-6). Dr. Mohler is an unsaved infidel who masquerades as a man of God, preaching another gospel. He errs in his understanding of the Scripture, the blind leading the blind. Dr. Mohler goes from college to college encouraging the students to contend for the true gospel, yet he is wrong on the gospel himself. BEWARE of this heretic!

There is nothing more dangerous today to Americans, than the tens of thousands of neo-evangelical spiritually dead churches and the corrupt Bible colleges who infect them with their graduates. Truth has few friends these days!

Dear reader, turning from your sins is not only hard, it is impossible! Christ came into the world to die on a cross as payment for your sins (John 3:16-18). Psalms 130:3, “If thou, LORD, shouldest mark iniquities, O Lord, who shall stand?” You've never turned from your sins and neither have I. We are all horrible sinners, and you know it! You may clean up your life of sin so that you'll appear above reproach to other sinners, but you will still be a sinner.

My sins were forever washed away by Jesus' precious blood 45 years ago, when I trusted Christ as a 13 year old young man, but I am still a horrible sinner today at age 58. My POSITION in Christ was forever settled the moment I got saved. The old account was settled long ago! I was saved by faith in Christ because of God's faithfulness to save them that believe (1st Corinthians 1:21b). But my CONDITION in Christ is up to me, day by day, walking in the Holy Spirit of Christ (Galatians 5:22-25; 2nd Corinthians 10:5-6). The former is justification; the latter is sanctification. And one thing has nothing to do with the other.

In this heretical video, Dr. Mohler foolishly adds repenting of your sinful ways plus committing your life to Christ as requirements to know you are saved. This is the cruel hoax of Lordship Salvation. Beware of Calvinism, because it is NOT the Gospel.

Dr. Albert Mohler Jr. is a deeper-life deadbeat. In this loathsome video titled, 'Albert Mohler: The Gospel,' although he mentions Christ's righteousness which is imputed by faith, he never actually mentions the elements of THE GOSPEL (i.e., Jesus' death, burial and resurrection). To fail to define what “the Gospel” is while preaching a sermon about it is inexcusable.

Dr. Mohler says Jesus only died for the saints (aka, the Calvinist lie of 'Limited Atonement'), which contradicts the plainest teaching of the Scripture. 2nd Corinthians 5:14-15, “For the love of Christ constraineth us; because we thus judge, that if one died for all, then were all dead: And that he died for all, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto him which died for them, and rose again” (cf., 1st John 2:2).

As I listened to Dr. Mohler just now, I felt like I was listening to Ravi Zacharias (1946-2020), another Billy Graham (1918-2018) clone whose sermons woefully lacks substance and fire, three clowns who couldn't preach their way out of a wet paper bag. I say that kindly, but truthfully. Dr. Mohler's theological mumbo-jumbo is BORING! His empty speaking is a sure cure for insomnia! I feel sorry for the thousands of students who have to endure that torment.

Now if you really want to know 'What Is The Gospel?' friend, read this simple Gospel tract by Pastor Harry A. Ironside (1876-1951).

I also encourage you to read Dr. Ironside's tract titled, 'Another Gospel.' And please read the helpful book in defense of the true Gospel, 'I Never Knew You' by Evangelist Michael P. Bowen.

And finally, please read the book, 'Salvation Is More Than Being Saved,' by Dr. Jack Hyles.
