Keep your eyes on the HONEY, not the ROCKS. Look at the BLESSINGS, not the BURDENS.
Look for the OPPORTUNITIES, not the OBSTACLES.
Naomi became bitter...

Dr. Hyles preached this sermon in 1990, in the heat of the battle. The year 1989 was the worst year of Dr. Hyles' life, when all the hordes of Hell came after him, his loved ones and ministry. Dr. Hyles attributed the source of the attack to neo-evangelicals.
Neo-evangelicals are my bitterest enemies too. I am hated by neo-evangelical in the Pensacola Christian College and Bob Jones University cults who preach Lordship Salvation. I am hated by the blind followers of Ray Comfort, Paul Washer, John MacArthur and other hellbound infidels. They hate me because I expose them for the false prophets they are! Somebody needs to tell the truth!
So, if you listen to this heartfelt sermon by Pastor Jack Hyles, keep in mind that he was walking through the Valley of the Shadow of Death at that time (Psalms 23:1). Dr. Hyles chose to look at the sweet honey, rather than look at the hard rock.
By God's grace, I receive many emails from bitter and frustrated saints. I love them all and try to encourage them. I know what their problem is, the same as I am guilty of so often doing, which is focusing on the wrong things in life. By default we all look at our problems. We look at what is in front of us in life, and it discourages us. But the Scripture exhorts us to "LOOK UNTO JESUS," who saved us and will finish what He started.
In the darkest hours of my life, it was my faith in Jesus that sustained me. I remembered the fiery furnace into which Meshach, Shadrach and Abednego were cast in Babylon (a furnace turned up so hot that it consumed the Babylonian soldiers who cast the three Hebrew lads into the oven inferno). Yet, wicked king Nebuchadnezzar saw four people, the fourth he said being like unto the "Son of God." Faith is like film, it develops in the dark. Unshakable faith comes from having your faith shaken. May the Forth (Jesus) be with you!
1st Peter 1:7-9, โThat the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ: Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory: Receiving the end of your faith, even the salvation of your souls.โ
