Someone sent me an email with a link today, to a website containing some slander about me. He suggested that I sue the accuser. Here is my unedited response to him...
Kindly, I never read anything negative about myself as a standing policy. I didn't and won't read the link you sent me. I had to start doing this over 10 years ago, because people were sending me crap left and right, so I just don't read it. It is discouraging, so I leave it alone. God knows my heart and my labors. Jesus said in Matthew 25:40, "And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me." My enemies are the Lord's enemies. They aren't just attacking me, they're attacking Jesus.
Revelation 12:10 identifies Satan as "the accuser of the brethren." The people who attack saints are doing Satan's bidding. I have peace hiding in Christ's identity (Colossians 3:1-3). Mark Twain wisely said:
“It takes your enemy and your friend, working together, to hurt you to the heart: the one to slander you and the other to get the news to you.”
I always share that quote with people who forward slander to me. There's nothing any enemy can say about me that I haven't heard before, so I couldn't care less anymore what my enemies say. They are attacking the dear Savior, since I am a child of the great King. I relish in the people who have been helped for Christ through my humble ministry labors since 2002. To God be all the glory!God knows that I told him the truth, I didn't visit the link that he sent me. I stopped reading slander about me over 10 years ago. I never go looking online to see what people say about me. I really don't care, because I have zero control over public opinion. Jesus plainly warned all believers in John 15:19 that the servant is not greater than his Master. If they persecuted Jesus, they'll persecute us as saints. I find great comfort in Jesus' calming words.
On social media, hateful people lie and say all kinds of malicious garbage about others, with no cross examination at all. In a legitimate court of law there is always cross examination, to force the accuser to prove their claims. But in the sick court of public opinion, any wicked person can say anything without being challenged, and stupid fools believe every word. I have received dozens of accusations in recent months that Donald Trump is the evil Antichrist. People are unreal. Humanity is diseased with the curse of sin. I thank God for the blood of Jesus that cleanses all our sins away, to those who believe on Jesus' precious name. Woe unto the accusers (Matthew 7:1-5).
Again, I know that you sincerely just wanted to be helpful, but I never read anything negative about myself or my ministry. That has served me well over the years. I'm not curious what the Devil's crowd thinks. As far as suing someone, I survive on a disability income and don't have the money to sue the hundreds of idiots on social media slandering my name. The inspired Holy Bible says that God will avenge all evil in Romans 12:19. Wicked people called Jesus (the sinless Son of God) a bastard (John 8:41), a devil (John 7:20), crazy (John 10:20), and a deceiver (Matthew 27:63). So, by faith, I trust that God will deal harshly with my critics, as they have harshly dealt with me. Let the heathen rage. My ministry friends wouldn't care if the slander were true, and my enemies wouldn't care if the slander were false because they'll still believe it anyway. A critic is a critic. My faith is in God.
Kindest regards and have a good day
When Jesus spoke about being “perfect” in Matthew 5:48, he was specifically referring to loving our enemies and doing good to those who do evil against us...
Matthew 5:44-48, “But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you; That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust. For if ye love them which love you, what reward have ye? do not even the publicans the same? And if ye salute your brethren only, what do ye more than others? do not even the publicans so? Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.”
