According to CNN medical correspondent Dr. Steve Salvatore, it doesn't take much alcohol to impair someone very quickly...
It Doesn't Take MuchActually, a driver can be impaired with a U.S. blood-alcohol level as low as .03.When you drink alcohol, it goes straight from the stomach into the bloodstream. Alcohol can be detected in the blood as fast as five minutes after drinking, and its effects—most obvious in the central nervous system—peak in about 30 to 45 minutes.
Alcohol depresses the central nervous system which, in turn, impairs motor function, motor performance, speech and eye movements. These skills are not only slowed down, they are performed more inaccurately. Alcohol also affects the ability to think and reason clearly. —SOURCE: 'For A Driver, Even A Few Drinks Can Be Lethal'
Do you see the great DECEPTION of the .08 BAC legal limit? At just .05 BAC, the human body is already experiencing impairment of coordination. This is serious folks! What is wrong with our legislatures? Are they brain dead? Get this ... our very SAME government which sets the BAC legal limit at .08, also states the following...
Alcohol Tastes And Feels Good, But Is Misleading
The following helpful chart is from OHS Health and Safety Services Incorporated.
"The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration's (NHTSA) position on the relationship between blood alcohol concentration and driving is that driving performance degrades after just one drink."Am I missing something here? Since the NHTSA (our U.S. federal government) admits that even ONE ALCOHOLIC DRINK degrades a person's driving performance, then why in the name of common sense doesn't our government's lawmakers lower the BAC to equate to ONE DRINK? Tragically, our government leaders are playing games with people's lives, and millions of innocent people ARE DYING! This is spiritual wickedness in high places (Ephesians 6:12). The government has much blood on their hands!

Alcohol Tastes And Feels Good, But Is Misleading

EXPECTED BLOOD ALCOHOL CONCENTRATION (“BAC”) BASED ON THE NUMBER OF DRINKS YOU'VE CONSUMED IN A ONE-HOUR PERIOD...
CLICK HERE for the BAC levels in each U.S. State at which you will be (and should be!) arrested if you are caught driving a car while under the influence of alcohol.
As anyone can clearly see from the chart above, having even ONE 12oz. DRINK of beer can cause a person weighing over 200 lbs. to have a BAC of up to .05! What strikes me as strange and a definite double-standard, is that many companies will fire an employee who comes to work with a BAC of .04% or more; but the legal system won't do anything to punish that person for driving under the influence until their BAC hits .08%. Why the double-standard? Why are private companies more concerned about their employees than our government's lawmakers are concerned about it's own people who entrusted them with power to rule? Something is very rotten in Washington DC!
What saith the Scripture? Proverbs 20:1, “Wine is a mocker, strong drink is raging: and whosoever is deceived thereby is not wise.” The inspired Holy Bible warns that alcohol has a deceitful nature. No one ever wakes up one day and says, “I can't wait to get drunk and murder someone with my car.” No young person someday dreams of becoming a casualty because of booze. Yet, it happens everywhere around the world because of the deceptive nature of alcohol. I thank God times 10,000 that I have never drank a single drop of booze in my life. My father was a Skid Row preacher. I grew up seeing Skid Row and what booze does to men, to ruin their lives, families and health. Alcoholism is not a disease, it is a wicked sin that becomes a chemical addiction! Medical intervention is usually necessary for recovery.
“I've stood for more sneers and scoffs and insults and had my life threatened from one end of the land to the other by this God-forsaken gang of thugs and cutthroats because I have come out uncompromisingly against them.” —Billy SundayBeware Of Pacific Garden Mission's 'UNSHACKLED' Garbage Theology
“I got up from my knees and I was free. I was new. That day God delivered me from my addictions! Within minutes of my spiritual salvation, he took away my impulse to use [drugs].”
Folks, that is junk theology! Here is the truth...
“Good character is not formed in a week or a month. It is created little by little, day by day. Protracted and patient effort is needed to develop good character.” —Heraclitus of Ephesus (535-475 BC)
No one just overcomes their lifelong substance abuse addictions in a second. PGM should know better but they don't, because foolish yuppie-type neo-evangelicals are running the rescue mission today. They are running it into the ground!
What saith the Scripture? ...
Romans 12:1-2, “I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.”
I am unalterably opposed to Pacific Garden Mission's junk theology, which says that a sinner must “REPENT and BELIEVE” (two steps) to be saved. The problem is that PGM wrongly understands repentance to mean full surrender to Christ, and to turn away from one's sinful bad habits. This is the heresy of Lordship Salvation. Turning from one's sinful ways is REFORMATION, not REGENERATION. I am against the heretical idea that if a person comes to Christ they will instantaneously be changed in behavior. The only difference when you get saved is the presence of the indwelling Holy Spirit of God (1st Corinthians 3:16-17; Romans 8:9; 1st John 3:24).
A wise doctor once said that if you don't take the first drink of alcohol, you can't take the second drink. I really like his reasoning! If you never take the first sip of booze, you cannot become a drunk! Let him that hath ears to hear, hear.
