How We Know Jesus Didn't Go To Heaven When He Died

Luke 23:43, “And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, To day shalt thou be with me in paradise.”

Jesus plainly said that He and the repentant man on the cross next to Him would be in PARADISE that very same day.

Someone on Facebook challenged my teaching today, insistent that Jesus went to Heaven first and then came back to go to Paradise. But we know that he is wrong in his theory. Everyone certainly has a right to their own opinion, but no has a right to their own FACTS. Jesus went to "Paradise" the very same day He died according to Luke 23:43. This is a FACT.

Another FACT that the Bible is very clear about is that Jesus spent THREE DAYS AND THREE NIGHTS (72 hours) in Hell. Matthew 12:40, “For as Jonas was three days and three nights in the whale's belly; so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.” This leaves no time for a secret rendezvous to go to Heaven somewhere in between. It would be wicked and very inappropriate to say that Jesus went to Heaven after He died, when the Bible plainly teaches otherwise.

The ONLY logical biblical conclusion we can make is this—Hell is compartmentalized with the place of TORMENT on one side, the place of PARADISE on the other side, and a GREAT GULF fixed in between (Luke 16:19-31).

Some people are just idiots, belligerent fools who like to debate and argue everything in the inspired Holy Bible. It looks like I'll be unfriending another troublemaker soon.
