The Promises God Made To Abraham Were Made To Jesus Christ, and Not To The Jews

Galatians 3:26-29, “For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus. For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ. There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus. And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.”

I humbly agree with Pastor Steven Anderson that Christians are “the chosen” (the elect), and not Jews. Galatians 3:29 teaches that only Jews and Gentiles who are born-again by faith alone in Jesus Christ are of the seed of Abraham.

Romans 2:28-29 teaches that one is NOT a Jew who is one outwardly, but inwardly. Clearly, biological Jews are NOT automatically biblical part of Abraham's seed. Romans 2:28-29, “For he is not a Jew, which is one outwardly; neither is that circumcision, which is outward in the flesh: But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, and not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of God.”

Galatians 3:16 teaches that the promises made to Abraham were made to his "seed" (singular), and not to "seeds" (plural). Galatians 3:16, “Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He saith not, And to seeds, as of many; but as of one, And to thy seed, which is Christ.” Many Bible students are poor students of God's Word, they only see what they want to see, assuming that God's promises made to Abraham apply to all Jews. 

However, according to the Scriptures that I just showed you, those promises were made to Christ alone, and not the Jews. Thankfully, by faith in Jesus we become “heirs” with Christ of these promises according to Galatians 3:29. The word “heirs” is the Greek word klēronomos, which means “sharer by lot, that is, an inheritor.” Dear reader, by receiving Jesus as your personal Savior, you inherit everything that is His, and that is promised to Him by the Father. Ephesians 3:6-7, “That the Gentiles should be fellowheirs, and of the same body, and partakers of his promise in Christ by the gospel: Whereof I was made a minister, according to the gift of the grace of God given unto me by the effectual working of his power.”

How ironic in lieu of this Scripture passage, that 90% of professed Christians today have been indoctrinated by their incompetent pastor to idolize present-day ungodly Israel. The promises which God made to Abraham were all directed at Jesus Christ, and to those who BELIEVE ON THE LORD JESUS CHRIST who become "heirs" of the promises made to Christ. The Bible is so simple if we will just allow the Scripture to speak for itself.
