Acts 20:16-21, “For Paul had determined to sail by Ephesus, because he would not spend the time in Asia: for he hasted, if it were possible for him, to be at Jerusalem the day of Pentecost. And from Miletus he sent to Ephesus, and called the elders of the church. And when they were come to him, he said unto them, Ye know, from the first day that I came into Asia, after what manner I have been with you at all seasons, Serving the Lord with all humility of mind, and with many tears, and temptations, which befell me by the lying in wait of the Jews: And how I kept back nothing that was profitable unto you, but have shewed you, and have taught you publickly, and from house to house, Testifying both to the Jews, and also to the Greeks, repentance toward God, and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ.”
This particular church has NO organized or scheduled time each week to go soulwinning. That is really pathetic. Folks, soulwinning builds churches. Here in Pensacola, the vine is ripe! The fields are ripe unto harvest here in Pensacola, but sadly I haven't found a single church that is truly on fire for God concerning soulwinning. I still have some more churches that I want to visit, so I am not saying that there are no such churches here, but of the few churches I have already attended, none of them goes soulwinning.
I attended Campus Church at Pensacola Christian College (PCC) and was utterly disappointed that they also have no organized soulwinning. They send out a few men each Sunday afternoon to pass out invitation flyers to come to Campus Church, but it is more of a way of claiming that they do go soulwinning, when they truly DON'T. They only pass out flyers for appearances' sake, not because they truly care about lost sinners getting saved. If they truly did, PCC would aggressively reach out to the Pensacola area with the Gospel, which they sadly don't. In the few months that I attended Campus Church, not once did I ever hear Pastor Jeff Redlin express any desire, teach nor preach the importance and need to go soulwinning. His sermonettes are dry, lacking conviction and mostly, lacking the Holy Spirit power of God.
Pastor Jeff Redlin delivers speeches to look and sound good to appease the intellectual snobbery of the PCC camp, but his heart is not toward lost sinners, nor hurting sinners like me. Pastor Redlin shamefully rejected me from the first week I started attending Campus Church, because of my truth-telling website ministry and the fact that I am divorced and hoping to remarry someday. What a religious Pharisaical hypocrite! I say that kindly with God's love. Somebody needs to preach with authority or else the world will go to Hell. If we would change the future, we must disturb the present!
And then to add insult to injury, the one time that he did mention something about sharing the Gospel, was to announce a class during an awkward time for anyone interested, but it would cost you $10 to attend the meeting. My God, what is wrong with Jeff Redlin? Campus Church took in $3,500,000 in 2020-2021, finishing the fiscal year with $1,200,000 still piled in their bank account. Yet, they are charging members $10 to learn how to more effectively share the Gospel. That is sickening folks!!! Shame on Pastor Jeff Redlin and Campus Church at PCC for their greed and lack of concern about dying souls in Pensacola. Sadly, PCC's Campus Church resembles more of a private cult that it does a New Testament church. Campus Church is really just a chapel for PCC students, which they ought not call a church, because it is not a legitimate church! And Jeff Redlin is not a legitimate pastor, evidenced by his woeful lack of love, compassion and people skills. Mr. Redlin treated me like garbage when I attended his cult in 2021. I wouldn't send my dog to Campus Church with Redlin as their corrupt leader.
PCC doesn't go door-to-door soulwinning. The Bible says in Acts 20:20-21, “And how I kept back nothing that was profitable unto you, but have shewed you, and have taught you publickly, and from house to house, Testifying both to the Jews, and also to the Greeks, repentance toward God, and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ.” We call this the believer's “Acts 20/20 Vision.” The Bible teaches that God's method of reaching people with the Gospel is primarily to go door-to-door soulwinning. This is how the early church in the book of Acts did it, door-to-door. Dear reader, don't ever let anyone tell you differently — SOULWINNING BUILDS CHURCHES!!!
I am independent as a believer and a preacher, meaning that I don't follow some denominational headquarters, like the apostate Southern Baptist Convention (SBC), which today has become a cesspool of iniquity with J.D. Greear at the helm as its president. The main idea behind being independent is to avoid going down with the mother ship. I mean, if the mother ship sinks, it will also take all the small ships along with it! So by being truly independent, a preacher and church protect itself from being corrupted if headquarters turns apostate. But also beware of phony independent churches. Many so-called “independent” Baptist churches today are really extensions of cult headquarters at Bob Jones University (BJU). So they are not truly independent, they are following BJU into the abyss of Hell. In case that you don't know, BJU has turned apostate in recent decades, now preaching the Devil's lie of Calvinism (ala, Lordship Salvation). And also, BJU promotes the Devil's false Bibles.
Being a “fundamentalist” simply means that I adhere to the fundamentals of the inspired Word of God. I believe that the King James Bible is both preserved and inspired, ever word (i.e., verbal inspiration). I also believe that all 66 books are inspired by God (i.e., plenary inspiration). Pastor Texe Marrs used to teach that the Old Testament Book of Esther was a fraud, because it made the Jews the heroes at the end. Dr. Marrs was way WRONG!!! All 66 books of the inspired Holy Bible are legitimate. Contrawise, the Apocrypha (which is found in the Roman Catholic Bible) is uninspired and doesn't belong in God's inspired Word. The original 1611 King James Bible contained the Apocrypha, but the 54 translators didn't think the Apocrypha was inspired, so they left it out of God's Word, but did include in the middle of the 1611 King James Bible, only for the value of its historical information. That is interesting.
And I am a “Baptist” simply because the Baptist faith most closely aligns with what the Holy Bible teaches and practices. But you must realize dear friend that there is no such thing as the “Baptist church,” neither in Heaven nor here on earth. There is only “The Church,” of which Jesus Christ is the glorious preeminent Head. We are the Body. Colossians 1:18, “And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence.” Jesus is the firstborn from the dead. That means He was the first to ressurected with an immortal perfect body. But wait, didn't Jesus raise up Lazarus? And didn't the bodies of some of the deceased saints raise up from the dead when Christ died upon the cross? Yes, they did. So how could Jesus be the “firstborn from the dead”? The answer is simple. Lazarus and those saints who raised up after Christ died on the cross, all had to die again; but Jesus raised up in His immortal, glorified. perfect body, never to perish again! So Christ is indeed the firstborn from the dead, and we will wonderfully follow in the future (Philippians 3:21).
I am not going to Heaven because I am an Independent Fundamental Baptist. I am only going to Heaven because I have been born-again, by the blessed Holy Spirit of God, in response to my childlike faith in the death on the cross, burial and bodily resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead. I was a guilty sinner, but Jesus is the wonderful Savior, who saved me by His mercy and grace, based solely upon His broken body and shed blood for my sins (1st Peter 1:18-19).
God's method in the Holy Bible is found in Matthew 28:19-20, which is The Great Commission (not The Great Omission, as in most churches today that don't go soulwinning):
Matthew 28:19-20, “Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.”
And again in the Gospel of Mark we read about Jesus' The Great Commission to all believers:
Mark 16:14-16, “Afterward he appeared unto the eleven as they sat at meat, and upbraided them with their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they believed not them which had seen him after he was risen. And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.”
The dear risen Savior and Lord commission every born-again saint to become a soulwinner. This is the primary purpose of the local New Testament church, NOT to meet together for worship. I am so sick of reading church websites that advertise: “Come worship with us!” No, I'd like to see a church advertise: “Come preach the Gospel with us!” So few churches today are legitimate Bible-practicing churches. Friend, if the church that you are attending doesn't have any type of organized soulwinning a church family, you are not in a very good church!
A godly pastor will have the attitude that we as believers have a duty and responsibility to share the Gospel, and diligently remind and equip his congregation incessantly to be soulwinners. I feel sorry for the church who doesn't have a soul-hungry pastor! Jesus calls all saved men to become fisher's of men! Soulwinning is not just for the preacher, it is for you and me, and everyone!!!
