Ye Must Be Born Again

John 3:3-10, “Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born? Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.”

Sadly, we don't hear this Bible phrase and truth enough today: “YE MUST BE BORN AGAIN.” Instead, we often hear from corrupt preachers that to get into Heaven we must surrender our entire personality to Christ, be willing to follow Him for the rest of our life, give Him complete control over our will as the Commander (Lord) of our life, and turn away from our sinful behavior. The problem is that NONE OF THAT is taught in the Word of God!

I am wearied with today's ungodly pastors and preachers, who incessantly embellish God's simple plan of salvation. In the inspired King James Bible, we are repeatedly taught that the way to get to Heaven is to BELIEVE ON THE LORD JESUS CHRIST (Acts 16:30-31). This includes believing the FACTS of the Gospel (which means, Good News):

1. Christ DIED on the cross to pay for our sins.
2. He was BURIED.
3. Jesus RESURRECTED bodily the third day from the dead (1st Corinthians 15:1-6).

Jesus plainly warned in John 3b, “Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.” That which is born of the flesh (or water) is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit (i.e., the Holy Spirit) is Spirit. That is why the Apostle Paul said in Galatians 3:2, “This only would I learn of you, Received ye the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?” Paul asked them: How did you get saved? How did you receive the indwelling Holy Spirit? Was it by keeping the works of the law (i.e., turning away from your sins), or by simply believing the Good News that you heard preached?

Do you know why we don't hear the great Bible truth: “YE MUST BE BORN AGAIN” anymore in today's Bible colleges and churches? It is sadly because wicked religious men have succumbed to heresy, caught between grace and works! Preachers are notorious for listening to other preachers, adopting their unbiblical clichés and ideas. In time, these errant wrestings (to distort or twist out of shape) of the Scripture becomes a religious cult. Bob Jones University (BJU) has become a religious cult since Dr. Steve Pettit became their new president in 2014. Dr. Pettit preaches hardcore Calvinism to BJU's 3,000 staff and students! God's curse is upon BJU today (Galatians 1:6-9; 3:1-3; 5:4; 6:7). No man can corrupt the Gospel and avoid God's wrath and punishment! Proverbs 30:5-6, “Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him. Add thou not unto his words, lest he reprove thee, and thou be found a liar.”

Dear reader:  “YE MUST BE BORN AGAIN.” It is not enough to follow, serve and surrender your life to Christ. You may do these things perfectly, and yet still miss Heaven and go to Hell for all eternity to burn in fire. It is not enough to faithfully attend and serve in a church. It is not enough to be water baptized to get to Heaven. Years ago in 2003, I read an article in the Chicago Sun Times about U.S. soldiers fighting in Iraq. Since there was a very real chance that some of them would be killed on the battlefield (and several thousand were), they were getting baptized the article said, “Just in case.” Just in case they died, they were getting baptized under water. Dear friend, I am sad to report that all of those soldiers who died serving their country went to Hell, who were foolishly trusting in a baptistery to get them into Heaven. Not one verse in the Bible teaches that water baptism can save a person, or that God even allows one to add water baptism to their faith.

What saith the Scripture: John 3b, “Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.” Those soldiers should have been getting BORN AGAIN, not baptized in water. What a wicked military chaplain! Now, here is an awesome Army chaplain named David Rutkin, who write this excellent salvation blog: “The Crystal Clear Gospel Of Jesus Christ” This is the wonderful message of the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ, that those soldiers desperately needed to hear before entering into deadly combat. False knowledge is more dangerous than ignorance! John 3b, “Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.”

You must be born again friend if you desire to go to Heaven someday, when this earthly life is finally over (and it could be today - Proverbs 27:1). What saith the Scripture? John 1:12-13, “But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.” You were born spiritually dead. This is the result of Adam's sin (Romans 5:12). All men therefore are sinners by birth and by choice. We have an inherited sinful nature passed down to us from our great, great, great ancestor, Mr. Adam.

Since we are born spiritually dead in trespasses and sins (Ephesians 2:1), we need to be reborn spiritually into God's Kingdom. 1st Peter 1:23, “Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.” It is the seed of the inspired Word of God (Luke 8:11), accompanied by one's childlike faith and the regenerating power of God's Holy Spirit, which conceives the new birth into a man. When I say “man,” I speak in general terms of a human being, which includes women and children too. To be “born again” means to have Jesus, who is “the beginning and the ending” (Revelation 1:8b), born in you.

To be “born again” is to be regened with God's DNA. We have our earthly parent's DNA. We are not our parents, and our parents are not us, but we have our parent's DNA in us. Likewise, every born again child of God has God's Holy Spirit (God's DNA if you will). We are not God, and God is not us, but we have God's Holy Spirit in us, who is a part of our very being now. Being “born again” is more than just the Holy Spirit moving into our body, He literally has become one with us in body, soul and spirit. This is the new nature in Christ (2nd Corinthians 5:17). We are now a part of God's family. We are not God's biological children, but adopted children (Romans 8:15). At the time of salvation, we are sealed with God's Holy Spirit (Ephesians 1:13-14). Praise the Lord!

 

Have you been born again dear friend? It is a free gift from God. You need to do nothing more than come to God as a guilty sinner (Romans 3:23), and put your childlike faith (confidence) in the Lord Jesus Christ, believing the facts that He died on the cross in your place to pay for all your sins, and He was buried, and three days later Jesus bodily resurrected from the dead, and is alive today (1st Corinthians 15:1-6). That's it, that all, no more! If you believe those facts of the Gospel, and that Gospel is your only hope for forgiveness of sins and eternal life, then you are saved. We are saved by FAITH ALONE. Faith is the only righteous thing that I can do.

So in view of the Bible truths that I have just humbly shown you, you should be able from this day forward to identify a false gospel. When you hear Billy Graham telling people to “count the cost and pay the price,” you know that he is lying. Jesus paid the price, so that we wouldn't have to. Billy Graham (1918-2018) was a false prophet! Sadly, I have no doubt that he is burning in Hell right now and forever. Now you'll know that Pastor John MacArthur is a liar when he tells you that salvation is “hard.” The Bible teaches “the simplicity that is in Christ” (2nd Corinthians 11:3b). We've got a bunch of lying preachers in churches today!!!

Jesus exclaimed in John 3b, “Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.” You absolutely, positively, unequivocally, MUST be born again to go to Heaven friend. Being born again is easy, free and simple, as I have already shown you. Simply BELIEVE ON HIM. John 6:40, “And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day.” Amen and amen! It is that simple. Since Jesus has the nail-scared hands and feet, He is the only one that we should be trusting in to save us! JESUS PAID IT ALL!!!
