Life Is So Short, Fear God And Keep His Commandments

Ecclesiastes 6:1-2, There is an evil which I have seen under the sun, and it is common among men: A man to whom God hath given riches, wealth, and honour, so that he wanteth nothing for his soul of all that he desireth, yet God giveth him not power to eat thereof, but a stranger eateth it: this is vanity, and it is an evil disease.”

Ecclesiastes 9:11-12, “I returned, and saw under the sun, that the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, neither yet bread to the wise, nor yet riches to men of understanding, nor yet favour to men of skill; but time and chance happeneth to them all. For man also knoweth not his time: as the fishes that are taken in an evil net, and as the birds that are caught in the snare; so are the sons of men snared in an evil time, when it falleth suddenly upon them.”

Ecclesiastes 12:13-14, “Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man. For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.”

I LOVE the Word of God!!! I heard my favorite preacher, Pastor Jack Hyles (1926-2001), say in a sermon that the older he grows he RUNS TO THE BIBLE like a starving man famished for food! I couldn't agree more. On days like today I just cannot get enough of the Holy Bible. My soul today is craving God's Word.

For about a year I had suffered pain every time I bit down on anything firm or hard, on my upper left molar in the back. I don't have any Wisdom Teeth. For one reason or another they were all removed when I was much younger. Thank God I still have all 28 of my natural teeth. I praise God for that, because I have met umpteen toothless people, or they have several teeth rotting or missing. Take care of your teeth when you are young, and they will take care of you when you are old. Please remember that. Did you know that the cost of having JUST ONE tooth replaced with an artificial implant is $5,000 to $8,000. Wowza! Gee, and I though pedal steel guitars are expensive!

That is why most people just opt to have their teeth removed. As long as I am blessed by God to have the money to do so, I will pay to have dental implants rather than just have my teeth yanked out! Ouch! But a much better thing to do it take care of your teeth while you are young. Accidents, sickness and unforeseen things often happen, of course, but we should all take preventative measures in every area of our life! An ounce PREVENTION is worth a pound of CURE. I love that wise saying, and you would be wise to remember it dear friend!

So I finally had it looked at, due to increasing pain when I ate, so I had a root canal a couple weeks ago on February 25th, 2022. Today is March 10th. I had the final crown, made of zirconium, installed upon my tooth today by the dentist to complete the process. So far so good! One day at a time. The crown feels a little weird, so I have to get used to it. We'll see. A different dental specialist performed the root canal than my regular dentist who did the crown to finish it. They were all very professional and I am well pleased.

Anyway, I thank God that all went well today. I am happy that it is all done! The dentist literally glued the crown onto my tooth, which had been prepared by the endodontist who performed my root canal a couple weeks ago. I am humbly amazed that dentists can even accomplish these amazing procedures! The whole process cost me $3,000. That's cheaper than the $5,300 that other dental offices wanted to charge me. Just as a word of warning, stay away from national and regional corporate dental business like Aspen Dental Care and Comfort Dental Care, because they are infamous for taking advantage of people financially.

The heathen world is always fruitlessly seeking for answers. The Bible says so in 2nd Timothy 3:7, “Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.” Thankfully, as born-again believers we already have found the answers! 1st Corinthians 1:18, “For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.” The foolish world spends their lives attending ungodly secular colleges, spends their time reading ungodly dead books authored by unsaved men, and for all their time and money spent seeking still cannot find the answers. Proverbs 14:12, “There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death. ”

The greatest advice I could ever give you dear friend is to quote to you Ecclesiastes 12:13-14, “Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man. For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.” The most important of the those commandments is to repent of your unbelief, and instead BELIEVE ON THE LORD JESUS CHRIST! That is the only way to have eternal life, for Jesus is eternal life according to 1st John 5:20, “And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life.

By God's grace, I just turned 55 years old on March 5th, 2022. My life will soon be over. I am ready to meet my Maker. I have run a good race, I have almost finished the course. There will be many people (souls saved by Christ through my humble website ministry) up in Heaven to greet me when I get home. Heaven is my final destination, where I plan to settle down in my new home (John 14:1-2), and play my new pedal steel guitar with amplifier (Romans 8:32). That is all I want, and some original Pizza Puffs! That's manna from Heaven, let me tell you!
