Proverbs 4:23, “Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.” Matthew 12:35, “A good man out of the good treasure of the heart bringeth forth good things: and an evil man out of the evil treasure bringeth forth evil things.” Matthew 12:34, “O generation of vipers, how can ye, being evil, speak good things? for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh.”
I've been watching 'Court TV,' an intriguing show dedicated to covering court trials. I've been watching the Kyle Rittenhouse trial, which has been fascinating. The judge has repeatedly rebuked the state prosecutor, even yelling at him for being brazen and doing things outside of agreed upon procedure. The judge may dismiss the case with prejudice, setting Rittenhouse free. Clearly, Kyle was defending himself all three times that he fired his gun in self-defense. I hope he gets acquitted. That prosecutor was very disrespectful to the judge, trying to connect dots that didn't exist, in my humble opinion. Kyle was running around with a fire-extinguisher to put out fires, and wearing a medical pack on his belt to administer first-aid to wounded protesters. Kyle is a good guy! Albeit, he had no business being out there during the riots. He had no business as a 17 year old boy possessing an AR-15 assault weapon.
I learned that one of the ways courts choose who will be accepted as jurors, is they allow potential jurors to freely talk. By doing so, if people are prejudiced or have preconceived biased ideas, it comes out of their heart and mouth, resulting in their dismissal. This is exactly what Jesus said in Matthew 12:34b, “for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh.” We all talk about what we harbor in our soul. I always talk about the King James Bible, a free grace Gospel and the truth, because those things are dear to me.
I am also watching the trial of the three white men in Georgia who are being accused of First Degree Murder for shooting Ahmaud Arbery. One of the jurors who had been chosen (where the court didn't take the time to filter them properly) made a racist joke during a court break. The juror asked a deputy outside: “Why didn't the police shoot Jacob Blake more than seven times?” The punch line was: “Because the police ran out of bullets!” When the deputy reported to the judge what the juror had foolishly said, the judge immediately dismissed the juror. The judge said it was was important for the public to know that these three men and Arbery are getting a fair trial. The judge is absolutely right! Again, out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh.
So we see how the Lord's word are very true, that out of a man's heart the mouth speaketh! This is why my favorite Bible verse is Proverbs 4:23, “Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.” In other words, we need to be very careful what we allow into our life, because it becomes a part of us! The things that we decide to think about, and stay in our heart (i.e., the things that we choose to believe and harbor deep inside our heart of hearts) DOES affect everything we say and do. That is why we need to be very careful to maintain a proper thought life, and choose to reject unwholesome, sinful and wrong ideas and thoughts.
Dr. Bob Jones Sr. (1883-1968) used to wisely say: “Back of every tragedy in human character is a low process of wicked thinking.” This is why we all need to attend church regularly. Good or bad character is developed over time. I've always read that 90% of a child's character is developed by the time of age five. That is frightening! That explains why the U.S. government is trying so hard to get preschool children into new public schools for preschoolers, so the government can indoctrinated children even earlier with the Devil's curriculum.
I follow some godly men on Twitter (e.g., Dr. Bob Gray Sr., Pastor Paul Chappell, Pastor Clarence Sexton, et cetera). A quote I found today by a Christian man is: “If you really believe Jesus is the head of your life you'll want the body that goes with it. Church is essential.” ...What we think about will come out of our mouth. You cannot hide what is in your soul, because out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh. That is what Jesus said. That is why the Bible warns to guard thy heart with all diligence, for out of it are the issues of life.
My intent in writing is to ALWAYS be a help and a blessing TO YOU dear friend. I care about people. I am being your friend to share Bible truths and Christian advice to help you have a better life, to be a blessing to others, to get saved and become a soulwinner, and for you to enjoy the wonderful blessings coming to every child of God in eternity. YOU are on the winning side in Christ Jesus if you have been born-again by faith alone in the Good News of Jesus crucified, buried and risen from the dead (Romans 8:37; 1st Corinthians 15:1-4).
I receive many emails from miserable people! My heart breaks for them all, truly. I pray for all my web visitors. I have learned that no matter how bad my life gets, I always have joy in my soul knowing that my name is written in Heaven. It is not that difficult to figure out. It is amazing how so many believers have read the Bible, their entire life, yet fail to see the answers right in front of their face! What saith the Scripture? ...
Philippians 4:8, “Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.”
People talk negative because they think negative. When I hear someone telling me that they wish they were dead, I know that they have been focusing on all of their problems, losses, burdens and negative news. The road out of the pit of despair is to just start praising God and focusing on what little good you have in life. Things will get better from there. Stay away from drugs! Alcohol is a drug! There is an epidemic of substance abuse in the churches and society today. That is the Devil!
The reason why some believers mope and complain, always negative and down, is because they think that way. That is what their heart is filled with. So how do you get out of such a rut? You start reading or listening (I like listening) to the King James Bible. You can hear the Bible on YouTube or numerous websites. You start listening to Bible preaching. Apply the truths that you hear to your daily life. Think about those truths and you will talk about them. Garbage in equals garbage out. Good thoughts in equals good words out. It is that simple. We are the sum total of all the influences in our life. THINK ON THESE THINGS Paul said in Philippians 4:8. What things? Things that are pure, lovely, of good report, virtuous things and things that are true. We can all do that! Living and being right begins with thinking right!!!
