Always Vet A Pastor The Moment You Meet Him

1st John 4:1-3, “Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world. Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God: And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.

To “vet means to make a careful and critical examination of a person. Before you join a church, and entrust your family to a pastor (or group of pastors) like at the Harvest Baptist Church of Guam, you make sure to vet them! You need to directly ask them a few questions:

  1. Do you believe faith alone in the Gospel (Good News) of Jesus Christ is enough for an admitted sinner to get to Heaven?
  2. Do you believe that the King James Bible is the inspired and infallible Word of God?

Dear reader, if the pastor cannot answer an affirmative “YES to both questions, you're in a bad church! Most pastors today will beat around the bush, giving you a bunch of junk that you didn't ask for, muddling to get to the point. YES or NO? Do you believe that a person can admit to God they are a sinner, and simply BELIEVE on the name of Jesus (believing that Christ died on the cross, was buried and bodily resurrected three days later) to be saved? That is the Bible way to be saved (1st Corinthians 15:1-4).

If your pastor teaches that we cannot know if a person is saved until we first watch their life, to see if their behavior and manner of life changes, you are in a bad church. Any theology that does not offer the immediate, irrevocable and absolute assurance of salvation is WRONG! The true Gospel always points you to Christ; a false gospel always points to you. Salvation is not doing your best, it is having Christ's best put to your account through receiving Him by faith. God will not save anyone who is trying to be saved, He will only save those who are trusting to be saved. The only thing you and I contribute to our salvation is the sin that make it necessary.

Please don't blindly join a popular local church, or enroll in some popular Bible college, just to find out down the road that they deceived you with a false gospel. The churches are pathetic today! Lordship Salvation has crept into tens of thousands of churches, including thousands of independent Baptist churches. Any preacher who focuses on something YOU must do to be saved is preaching a false plan of salvation. I like calling names, to warn people, and not just make a mute point. You need to watch out for Bob Jones University graduates within the past 40 years. Dr. Bob Jones Sr. (1883-1968) taught a free grace Gospel. Somewhere along the way BJU adopted Dr. John MacArthur's Lordship Salvation garbage, which is NOT the Gospel.  ...

“The true Gospel always points you to Christ; a false gospel always points to you.” Pastor Dennis Rokser

1st John 4:1 can be misleading. At a glance it appears that anyone who believes on Jesus is saved, but we know that is not true if ANYTHING more is added. Roman Catholics claim to have faith in Jesus, but they also add keeping Seven Sacraments. That is a false plan of salvation, which cannot produce the new birth by the Holy Spirit of God (John 1:12-13).

My hope is built on nothing less
Than Jesus Christ, my righteousness;
I dare not trust the sweetest frame,
But wholly lean on Jesus’ name.
On Christ, the solid Rock, I stand;
All other ground is sinking sand,
All other ground is sinking sand.

Anyone who claims that salvation requires more than faith ALONE in Jesus Christ is not of God. These pastors today who require you to turn away from your sin to be saved, are JUST AS GUILTY as the Roman Catholic priest who requires you to get water baptized, go to confession, partake of holy communion, last rites, et cetera. We find an example in the Bible of false teachers ADDING to the Gospel, requiring more than faith alone to be saved. Acts 15:1, “And certain men which came down from Judaea taught the brethren, and said, Except ye be circumcised after the manner of Moses, ye cannot be saved.” This is a false plan of salvation. This is confirmed in Acts 15:24, “Forasmuch as we have heard, that certain which went out from us have troubled you with words, subverting your souls, saying, Ye must be circumcised, and keep the law: to whom we gave no such commandment:” Dr. Steve Pettit, Pastor Marty Herron, Pastor Gary Walton and Pastor John MacArthur are all subverting the souls of men with a false gospel.

For any pastor, Bible professor or evangelist to ADD turning from your sin to receive God's free gift of eternal life, is effectively the same as trying to keep the law to be saved. You are familiar with the Ten Commandments. The Bible gives us several “Thou shalt not” commandments. The Bible forbids committing adultery, murder, covetousness, bearing false witness and stealing. The heresy of Lordship Salvation teaches that a person must turn away from committing these type of sins to be saved. That is keeping the law. Whether you are required to try not to commit these sins, or are required to stop committing these sins, what's the difference? There is none! I hope you see the fallacy of Lordship Salvation.

Christ paid your sin debt on Calvary's cross with HIs blood. The only reason why you and I can go to Heaven freely, and at all, is solely because of what Jesus did through the cross for us. The Lord raised up from the dead after three days and ascended into Heaven with Ho=is blood, to appear in the presence of God on our behalf. Hebrews 9:12, “Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us.” BY HIS OWN BLOOD! Christ paid for our sins with His precious blood. 1st Peter 1:18-19, “Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers; But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot:” Clearly, we are NOT saved by our own effort to turn away from our sinful lifestyle as Marty Herron teaches, nor faithfully run the race until the end as Steve Pettit teaches, nor exchange all that we are for all that Jesus is as John MacArthur teaches. These men are theological liars in the pulpit.

Please, before you send your young people off to Bible college and pay them tens of thousands of dollars, make sure that they are doctrinally sound. And I have touched upon it much in this article, but you need to make sure that they only use the King James Bible, and believe it is inspired and infallible. You'd be surprised if you knew how many Bible preachers today in fact DON'T believe that we have a perfect, inspired and infallible Bible in the English language. You need to ask a preacher if he believes that only the original autographs were inspired. If he says “YES,” you are in a bad place and need to RUN!!!

I believe that the King James Bible is inspired, not just the non-existent originals. I believe we have a perfect Bible today, without error. The King James Bible needs no correcting, it is infallible. How do I know that? Simply because God PROMISED to keep and preserve His pure words in Psalms 12:6-7. Not surprisingly, ALL modern Bible revisions remove this promise. The reason why they did is obvious, because they keep publishing more new Bible versions. They are Devil's Bibles. The Harvest Baptist Church of Guam is of the Devil, corrupt, pulling on the same rope as the Devil, just like their Satanic headquarters at Bob Jones University. Please run from these places!!!
