Sawn Asunder For Their Christian Faith

Hebrews 11:36-40, And others had trial of cruel mockings and scourgings, yea, moreover of bonds and imprisonment: They were stoned, they were sawn asunder, were tempted, were slain with the sword: they wandered about in sheepskins and goatskins; being destitute, afflicted, tormented; (Of whom the world was not worthy:) they wandered in deserts, and in mountains, and in dens and caves of the earth. And these all, having obtained a good report through faith, received not the promise: God having provided some better thing for us, that they without us should not be made perfect.

Illustration by Lucas Cranach the Elder of St. Simon sawn in two.
It is very easy to get into a habit of mechanically reading the Bible. Since we are taught and encouraged by pastors (a good pastor at least) to read the Bible every day, it could become easy to just go through the routine, without really paying attention to what we are reading. Jesus exhorts us in John 5:39b to “SEARCH THE SCRIPTURES.” The Greek word for search here is, ereunao, which means “to inquire, seek, investigate.” This is much more than merely reading the Holy Bible.

Take a close look at the creepy illustration to the right. Wow! Folks, the Bible says in Hebrews 11:37 that Christians throughout history have been “SAWN ASUNDER for their faith! Good night in the morning that is scary! I cannot even grasp such a horrific act of inhumanity toward any human being, let along a God-fearing saint for merely having faith in God to preach the Gospel.

In the Bible we see saints being horribly persecuted for their soulwinning. Acts 5:40-42, “And to him they agreed: and when they had called the apostles, and beaten them, they commanded that they should not speak in the name of Jesus, and let them go. And they departed from the presence of the council, rejoicing that they were counted worthy to suffer shame for his name. And daily in the temple, and in every house, they ceased not to teach and preach Jesus Christ. In Acts 12:2 Herod beheaded the Apostle James, who was the Apostle John's brother. All of the apostles, except John who was exiled to the isle of Patmos, were martyred. Here is the “Foxe's Book Of Martyrs” (1563 edition).

In the United States today we are seeing increasing persecution against soulwinning churches and Christians. Due to horrible ACLU lawsuits, local authorities are removing public nativity scenes. We are destroying ourselves! Sheriffs are going to children's homes, to warn mothers not to put Bible verses in their child's lunchbox to share at school. Why should God bless such a wicked nation? Yet, we really cannot say we are persecuted in America, as compared to what other saints are suffered elsewhere in the world today for their faith. In many countries today Christians are still being killed for their faith. Since 2015, over 11,500 Christians have been murdered in Nigeria. We have much to be thankful for in America, and even more reason to be very concerned over the wrong direction our society is headed.

Despite being warned by the government not to preach the Gospel, the early Christians rebelled, obeying God rather than men. Acts 5:29, “Then Peter and the other apostles answered and said, We ought to obey God rather than men.” What saith the Scripture? ...
2nd Timothy 3:11-15, “Persecutions, afflictions, which came unto me at Antioch, at Iconium, at Lystra; what persecutions I endured: but out of them all the Lord delivered me. Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution. But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived. But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them; And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.
The Apostle Paul exhorts young Timothy that despite any persecutions he has suffered, to CONTINUE in the Bible truths he has learned. The King James Bible is increasingly being demonized by liberals, atheists and the LGBTQ community as “hate speech. God is not for sale dear friend! You cannot force God to adopt man's corrupt views. Romans 1:25 tells us that ungodly people will corrupt the truth of God into a lie. That is what is happening with the Devil's new Bible revisions. We are very blessed to live in a free country. However, if we continue to legalize sin, incrementally we will lose God's blessings and our liberties...

We are blessed to live in a free nation. And yet, we are enslaved in many ways to a two-party political dictatorship in America. You've got a choice of the Donkey or the Elephant, but the ungodly New World Order continues either way! The Federal Reserve System (i.e., the central bank) is nothing less than 100% criminal fraud. So Americans are slaves while we are free! There is an illusion in America of freedom, while we work our entire lives to pay off a steep mortgage loan to the central banks. Americans are in debt for tens of trillions of dollars to the central banks. Proverbs 22:7, “The rich ruleth over the poor, and the borrower is servant to the lender.I hope you will watch the preceding truthful documentary, and you'll understand what I am talking about, if you don't already. The video explains why our U.S. economy is failing. You won't learn this in any university today.

Beware Of The Devil's Modern Bible Revisions

The Bible tells us that Christians throughout history have been tortured, even sawn asunder! That is a far cry from the health, wealth and prosperity garbage that we hear coming from the Charismatic movement. Jesus exhorts us in John 5:39b to “SEARCH THE SCRIPTURES.” I encourage you dear reader to investigate the Scriptures as Jesus commanded. But please make sure you have the Scriptures! Please avoid all of the modern Bible revisions. They are a theological nightmare of omissions, additions and horrible blatant unscholarly changes. I made this helpful video in 2018 titled: “THE BATTLE OF THE AGES,” exposing the Devil's Bible revisions. Please use only the tested, tried and true King James Bible!!!

I found an intriguing article authored by Dr. Christopher Lane, at Psychology Today. I am thankful that Dr. Lane wrote this article, from a secular professional psychologist's point of view. People tend to ignore preachers these days, for various reasons. This man works in the secular field, and yet he clearly sees a big problem with the modern Bible versions. By making even small changes to the text, it drastically affects the meaning. It frustrates me as a Christian believer that a secular psychologist can clearly recognize the problem of having umpteen Bible versions, while over 95% of pastors today couldn't care less and are PART OF THE PROBLEM!

We Should Fear God, Not Man

Christians in America today don't even have a clue as to what persecution really means. I can't even imagine being sawn to death, and hope I never do! But regardless of what people do to each other, they cannot take our soul. Amen! Matthew 10:28, “And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.” This Scripture plainly reveals that people in Hell have a body of some sort. It will have to be a special body, able to withstand thousands of degrees.

The Bible teaches that Hell is a literal place that burns with fire and brimstone (Revelation 21:8). Brimstone is lava, like what we see coming out of volcanoes. The temperature of lava flow is usually about 700° to 1,250° Celsius, which is approximately 2,000° Fahrenheit. That's hot!!! The Bible describes Hell as a place of fire, smoke, brimstone and eternal torment (Revelation 14:11). I feel sorry for the people who reject these Bible truths. Thank God for the inspired, accurate and infallible King James Bible!!! We have THE TRUTH today.
