The Holy Bible Doesn't Say 'Turn From Sin' To Be Saved

1st Corinthians 15:1-4, “Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures: And that he was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve: After that, he was seen of above five hundred brethren at once; of whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some are fallen asleep.”

I just quoted to you the Bible's definition of “The Gospel.” The apostle Paul specifically mentions the DEATH, BURIAL and bodily RESURRECTION of the Lord. I don't see anything about turning from sins to be saved! That is because turning from (forsaking) sins is not a part of the saving Gospel. Pastor Jack Hyles made this helpful statement:
Lordship salvation would make salvation a trade or a deal or maybe even a bribe.  It would take away the simple reception of Christ for eternal life and would become God giving us something if we give Him something.  God would say to us, “You give Me something; I'll give you something.  We will trade, and you will be saved.”  Salvation is not my giving God something and God giving me something; salvation is God giving me something and my receiving it. Romans 6:23, “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” —Pastor Jack Hyles, “Lordship Salvation” (chapter 11 from his book: “Salvation Is More Than Being Saved”)
Along with the Apostle Paul, I marvel in astonishment that most professed Christians today, including independent Baptists, have succumbed to the Devil's lie of Lordship Salvation. Satan has sowed millions of tears in the churches. Nowhere in the Bible are we taught to “turn from sins as a condition to receive God's free gift of eternal life! Fundamentalism is rooted in Free Grace Theology, not the Devil's lie of Lordship Salvation (aka, Calvinism).
