Ephesians 3:14-19, “For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, Of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named, That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man; That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love, May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height; And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God.”
Oh friend, we have a beautiful and precious Savior. I could show you many Scripture passages, which show the great heart of our Savior. For example: Matthew 12:46-50, “While he yet talked to the people, behold, his mother and his brethren stood without, desiring to speak with him. Then one said unto him, Behold, thy mother and thy brethren stand without, desiring to speak with thee. But he answered and said unto him that told him, Who is my mother? and who are my brethren? And he stretched forth his hand toward his disciples, and said, Behold my mother and my brethren! For whosoever shall do the will of my Father which is in heaven, the same is my brother, and sister, and mother.” I love that! Jesus is putting every believer on the same exact level as His own personal family! Jesus has the attitude that, “We're in this together!”
When you receive Christ as your personal Savior, you've got a Friend of friends! That is why Jesus said in Matthew 25:45, “Then shall he answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to me.” When one of His 100 sheep go astray, the Lord leaves the 99 to go find the one. Everyone matters in God's family! There are no casualties in the Kingdom of God, everyone is accounted for! God loves each of His children so much, that each death is PRECIOUS in His sight. Even a believer who commits suicide, God forbid, is precious in the Lord's sight, because one of His redeemed saints is coming home. Psalms 116:15, “Precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of his saints.”
The Lord told the Apostle Peter that he would deny Him in John chapter 13, but not to become discouraged. Jesus encouraged Peter that when he falls, and then gets right with God, to just keep on doing the Lord's work of winning souls. And the Lord continues in chapter 14, reassuring Peter that everything is going to be okay! John 14:1-3, “Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.” Isn't that beautiful? It is important to understand that the original Bible didn't have any chapter divisions, they were added several centuries later by men to organize the Word of God. So in some cases, like the passage I just quoted to you from John 14:1-3, it is a continuation of chapter 13. Great stuff!!!
Look at this beautiful promise from God in Matthew 11:11, “Verily I say unto you, Among them that are born of women there hath not risen a greater than John the Baptist: notwithstanding he that is least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he.” Isn't that beautiful? John the Baptist was the greatest man ever born among women, yet God says even the weakest unknown saint will be greater than John in Heaven. You are important to God dear child of God. If you are not sure if you are a child of God or not, let me ask you a question. Have you been born-again? Was there a time in your life when you realized that you were a sinner? Did you understand that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, Who died on the cross for your sins? Did you place your trust in Him? If so, you are saved.
I was just 13 years old when I got saved. I was saved at the Northland Baptist Church on Chicago's northside. The church later moved to the southside of Chicago. That Sunday morning the preacher said if you don't have the Holy Spirit convicting you about sin, you're not saved. I knew that I wasn't saved. For the first time in my life I felt Holy Spirit conviction. I was too shy to walk an isle during the invitation at the end. So the best I knew how, from my pew, I cried out silently in my soul to the Lord. For the first time in my life I called out to the blessed Savior. I trusted Him to save me, and He did. If you are saved, you have a blessed hope!!! Romans 8:32, “He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?” Micah 7:18, “Who is a God like unto thee, that pardoneth iniquity, and passeth by the transgression of the remnant of his heritage? he retaineth not his anger for ever, because he delighteth in mercy.” What an awesome God and Savior!!!
No matter who you are, God loves you. Even if you are not a child of God, He still loves you friend. Jesus Christ died for everyone, even for those who reject Him. 2nd Peter 2:1, “But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.” Christ died for your sins dear friend! Won't you receive Him as your personal Savior, if you never have. Simply admit you are a needy sinner. Simply receive Christ's sacrifice on the cross as payment for your sins, believing that He is risen from the dead! That is all you need to do to be forgiven and receive His gift of eternal life. Trust Jesus alone for your redemption!!!
I am excited just writing about these promises from God. Look at what the Bible says in Romans 8:17, “And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.” The moment that a person gets saved by believing on the Lord Jesus Christ, they become “JOINT-HEIRS” with Jesus Christ! That literally means that everything that belongs to Christ now also belongs to each and every believer!!! Amen, hallelujah, what a great Savior!!! I admit that I cannot even begin to fathom all that this means! God wants us to be happy in eternity.
God has planned so much for each of us. 1st Corinthians 2:9-10, “But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.” The indwelling Holy Spirit reveals truths to us from the Bible, encouraging our hearts concerning all the wonderful promises from our heavenly Father. If we, being earthly parents, want what's best for our children, then how much more does our heavenly Father want the same! Matthew 7:11, “If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him?” Oh, it is wonderful to be a Christian!!! It is so wonderful to be God's child!!!
Thank you. I love you so much bro David. This is helpful to me, all the glory be to God.
